Went here the other night with a group of 6 other people. We were given a really small table, so people weren’t able to fit their pizzas on the table. One person in the party didn’t get his pizza until everybody else was done with mains and it was given to him in a box with no plate. The food was pretty good, but service wasn’t great and the atmosphere was very overwhelming with loud music going off frequently for peoples birthdays

Food was ok. I feel like you can find better Italian restaurant for cheaper price and really taste good. Service was good some staff was helping the one serving us I can tell that he got a lot on today as it’s busy Friday! I wouldn’t recommend to come on a Friday night! or maybe a weekend cause the atmosphere is to loud can’t even hear while we are talking with my friends we have to shout. But overall its decent.

I have wanted to go here for over a year, it always looks so busy so I decided to reserve for my birthday. Lovely restaurant with kind and chatty staff, the food came super quick and was all delicious! We ordered 4 mains, 2 starters, 3 non alc drinks and 2 alc drinks and the cost was about £80 which is amazing considering how much we ordered, the quality of the food and quickness of the service! Recommending to everyone! We will 100% be back!

Buzzing! Really nice food and huge portions for a great price

Very noisy and hectic. If you like a busy environment this is your place. The waiter who seemed to be one of the managers was not friendly to both his team and clients. He got one of our dishes wrong and challenged us even though we had repeated what we had ordered twice. The food was average.

I've eaten here a million times in the last 25 years. I'm glad it survived all these years. This restaurant is a beam of light in Golders Green. The pizza is probably one of the beat in London and the price is not bad at all. The staff is mostly from Italy, so everyone is very friendly and straightforward. The food is hreat. I've been eating here for 25 years. I highly recommend it!

I came here when I was little. It’s a shame to see how bad it has become. The dog food I feed my dog has better nutrition and quality and my nuts after football are more hygienic than this place. Not even Gordon Ramsey can save such a fall from grace.

I really enjoyed coming here, no nonsense food. I thought good value for money, good food and good portions. Decent service and the place was busy. Yes they missed a few things and they did replace them which was fine. I left full and the bill was very reasonable. We were in a large group of 10 people and we all had a great time. I highly recommend here. It's also close to the tube station.

The worse pizza I ever ate in London. Extremely disappointed. Tried to saved the dinner with the tiramisù, but it was more disappointing than the pizza.

Large place but very busy. Food portions are large, grilled veg was good however too much dressing added which overpowered the natural flavour. Pizza and pasta needed more seasoning as it tasted fairly bland. Some bits of our order didn't arrive which we had to highlight when the bill arrived. Not a place if you want to go out and enjoy a quiet family meal, it's very loud and at times had to shout to have a conversation .

Quality food, big portions, reasonable prices, good service, lovely atmosphere!

I am a regular customer here for many years. Just live down the road and come with big groups. This time the food was not good, too much salt in every meal we had. The calamari was like a big mountain stacked up and not well fried. Disappointed.

Expectations were set high for an establishment of such repute, yet the reality fell significantly short. To begin with, the food, which should be the star of any culinary establishment, was distinctly average. A restaurant of this calibre should surely aspire to more than mere mediocrity. The excitement of exploring the menu quickly waned upon the realisation that the dishes, while not entirely lacking in flavour, failed to evoke the culinary delight one might anticipate. Our evening was further marred by an excruciating wait. Having arrived promptly at 7 pm and placed our orders by 7:30, it was utterly incomprehensible that we were still awaiting our meal at 9 pm. Such delays are not only inexcusable but serve to dampen the overall dining experience significantly. The service, or lack thereof, compounded our frustration. The waiters were not just unhelpful but also displayed a level of abruptness and rudeness that has no place in the hospitality industry. A welcoming, accommodating service can often redeem a less than stellar culinary experience; however, this was not to be the case at L’artista. Adding insult to injury, the restaurant was ill-equipped to cater to the needs of all guests, notably lacking in essential amenities such as a baby seat. The absence of salt shakers on the tables might seem a minor oversight, yet it is reflective of a broader neglect of diners' needs. Furthermore, the failure to provide cutlery for some of our party is a basic lapse that one would not expect in any dining establishment, let alone one which positions itself amongst the finer options. In conclusion, my advice to potential patrons is to consider other dining venues. The combination of average food, intolerable waiting times, and discourteous service renders L’artista a place to bypass. There are undoubtedly many other establishments that will offer not only superior culinary experiences but also the warm, accommodating service that is integral to an enjoyable dining out experience. Don’t go.

Delicious food, made in the proper Italian way. Good prices and the portions are just enough, if not more. I recommend booking a table as usually it's busy. It's interesting to have a birthday celebrated here, because of the way they bring the cake ('make some noise' is one way to put it) 😄.

We had come from Stansted airport and had to wait for the next bus to Leicester and decided to enter and have some pizza! Service was lovely and warming, food was so fresh like I was in Italy and all toghether we were so pleased about the place!

If you have allergies.... Avoid! I have allergies, so requested to see the allergen menu (mandatory by law in the UK). Multiple servers didn't understand what I was asking for. Asked for the manager - they didn't turn up. Only at the end of the meal did someone come to the table and say 'did you ask for an allergy menu? Here it is'. Too late and unattentive staff.

I waited for about 30 minutes for my order, I asked one of the waiters about my order, they informed me that it was busy and that I should wait (in a rude way), and only after 40 minutes they came to inform me that they had lost my order and that I would have to order again.

The staff made the evening, friendly efficient and looks after us. The food was just full of flavours good to perfection. Atmosphere was lively , popular place to meet friends , or if you are celebrating a birthday . If you are looking for an Italian restaurant, here you good . Thank you for a great evening .

Visited 03/02/24: I attended a family meal celebrating a birthday here. It was very busy so it took a little longer to be served and we had to flag down a server (table service) to take our order. There’s no cider on the menu which is unfortunate. The food arrived quickly and was nice. I had the Americana, though more pepperoni would have been nice as I only had one pepperoni per slice. Some of us opted to have a take out box as the pizza is the size of a plate which is great! They also have a candy floss machine. The staff are what makes this restaurant. Every so often they bang drums and sing for people’s birthdays or celebrations which is a nice touch. The only issue I had was with the toilets- not a single toilet roll or paper towel in sight. Thankful for the handbag tissues!

One of the best restaurants in London!

While the food was really good and pricing reasonable for the portion sizes- the husband had a classic margherita while I went for a special request pink seafood pasta, I was a bit disappointed with the service - we had come in during lunch hours as a walk in; our server pointed us to a couple of tables really close to another occupied table ( I really don't understand why tables are placed so close to one another). When I pointed out that I'm not really comfortable sitting this close to other people, instead of suggesting to move the tables apart more (there was space), he just went about saying "it is what it is" which took be back a bit. The server wasn't very experienced and that kind of ruined the mood for me until we got another server who was much more polite and a bit more experienced in customer service. Overall, great food, lovely ambience- would ask for servers, especially young hires to be trained more in customer service to take the overall experience up a notch 👍

I just came from the restuarant in Golders green and i vomit straight away, we left the pasta there we just tried the only thing we ate was calamari which was not cooked!!!!

This is a well established Italian restaurant and it's clear why people keep coming back. The menu covers all of the pasta and pizza variations that you might expect, the dishes are tasty and the prices are pretty reasonable for the current economic climate. One downside is that the restaurant can be quite busy and noisy, even on a weekday evening, which makes conversation difficult (if you're of a certain age!). Also while our waiter was very helpful and accommodating we had a few issues with the details of our order. None of it was a problem in the end but it took a bit of explaining.

Great taste and vfm. Best to book in advance. There's a tiny carpark or on street parking all around. Golders Green Station is also in spitting distance.

Where do I start? My partner and I popped in for a quick bite and were firstly met with a surly male waiter who growled at us and pointed to a table, any table. We ordered and were then served with 2 pastas, one was so bland, despite lots of parmesan and seasoning with salt and pepper on the table and the other one was so salty it couldn't be eaten. We daren't flag this up to the waiter for fear of dismissal and yet another growl. It was an easy waste of money. My partner wanted to take it away and give to someone who was hungry but even this was not an option as food was so bad. I will never darken their door again. Awful, awful, awful.

This restaurant came highly recommended from friends and myself and a group of friends are looking forward to a nice night out. Unfortunately we had a server who was extremely rude and passive aggressive. My friend ordered pasta and it was extremely salty, she didn’t want to complain but did let the server know and he very rudely told her she should have said earlier. I ordered a pizza, 15 minutes after my friends getting their food mine still hadn’t arrived, I had asked 2 servers and was told it was coming and 5 minutes later it still wasn’t here. It came out piping hot and had obviously been forgotten to be made. Come the end of the meal and I wanted to let the server know that I was upset there hadn’t been any communication about the pizza. The server then said to me ‘Go and talk to the pizza chef’ And I was quite taken aback. I asked to speak to the manager and he was just as rude. He spoke over the top of me to the server in Italian and then was joking with the server about not getting his wages for the week Very upset with how I was spoken to and will NOT be going back any time soon. To add insult to injury, The plates were all chipped, the waiters lent across people to pass food to us and twice there were birthdays with a RIDICULOUS amount of loud drumming and banging of instruments and most of the restaurant were covering their ears!

I’ve been going to L’artista in Watford for the past 5 years and the service I get all the time is 10/10 however I decided to try this one in Golders Green and the service was absolutely disgusting and never again.

Very disappointing - we've been eating here for decades. Food and service were really substandard - bland, poor quality pasta and oily garlic bread. We were initially told that the only table available was by the door but after minimal discussion, we were shown to one of many free tables inside the restaurant. Waiter eventually took our order and after a long delay, they eventually brought the main course, before the starter. We watched other tables being served the wrong dishes and people waiting for their meals while others in their group had been served. Sadly, we will not be going back.

Been comimg to L'Artista for 25 years. Always great food. The pasta e fagioli soup today was superb as ever.

Easy to see Why so busy… it’s a good Trattoria with large portions and quick service. The people are nice. The atmosphere is very family friendly and I always come out of there eating well. I had one bad meal with the liver was tough and I told the guy and he couldn’t be more apologetic and that’s what a restaurant is supposed to be like 👍

We ordered Cannelloni and Lasagna Vegetatiana and I liked both, but especially Lasangna Vegetariana was good. I would like to visit there to eat it again.

We’ve been to this restaurant several times. The food is excellent, service is always good & price is moderate. They make a special fuss if you’re celebrating a birthday. Our star waiter today was Aziz. We are never tired of coming here. They even recognise our voice when we phone before we can say ‘it’s Sam here’!

Food was good but service was slow

Great food but the waiter was awful. Has a permanently grumpy look on his face and condescending attitude like he can't be bothered to find you a table and serve you, and when he does it's always reluctantly and never 'service with a smile'. Why bother tipping for that kind of service. Used to be regulars here but it's put us off going as there's other nice restaurants in Golders Green where the service is far better.

They serve good food, but the restaurant is constantly crowded and noisy and the service was ok (they forgot to place the order of one of our dishes)

The atmosphere was electric and quirky, the staff seem to love their job making the experience more enjoyable. They cook authentic Italian dishes with a special chef, if you have a friend night out. This is the place I recommend for you to go.

I wish I'd read the reviews before I went. Service appalling, everything is dirty -- walls, floor, tables, bar -- and staff just ignore you. We walked out and went a 4-5 minute walk to Amoretti, where we were well fed and well looked after.

I have been visiting L'artista for many years, the food is great, especially pizza and I love the meat lasagna there. In terms of decor, the restaurant could do with some refurbishment but the food is always good.

Always busy, decent service but the crowds must be tourists with kids as the food is so so. This really is a long standing stalwart of Golders Green. My steak was overcooked. Their menu is too long to do anything well. Desserts are nice though.
