Great restaurant Dropped from 5 to 4 stars as the Ossobuco came with Saffron rice, but did not indicate anywhere the rice had cheese in it....

It was my daughter’s 18th birthday, such a big day 🤩 and I decided to choose this restaurant. This is because, I saw amazing menu and cozy atmosphere . When I came (few days before), manager met me with a smile and carefully listened my needs. I’ve never been there before and was quite cautious, how it will go, how the food will be and service…👀👀🙈 Yesterday was that big day😍😍😍 originally the table was booked for 6 people,but it did go down for 4. I wanted to say a massive thank you for the amazing team, which helped my daughter’s day to make even more special and memorable for the rest of her life 🥹♥️All of them made it incredible, they sand the song with the cake (not just sing with no warmness, put on the table and quickly go, like many restaurants do), the music and put the lights down… every single touch made it so special 🥰🥰 From the bottom of my heart, I can’t say enough how satisfied and happy I am. From the minute one, when opened the restaurant door, until leaving all staff been just amazingly nice and warm🥰 Thank you for your hard work, being professional, making my daughter’s evening special, being so nice and there, when needed ♥️♥️🫂

So noisy, hard to hear your guests speaking, some investment in sound absorbent panels would be a good idea.

In the middle of the storm, we entered this restaurant because we had no other choice. I appreciated getting tiramisu for my birthday, but honestly, it tasted awful. Especially the seafood pasta with white wine sauce was the worst. It ended up being a truly disappointing birthday.

Was my first time in this restaurant. If you are planning a romantic dinner, I'll say to find another restaurant because it is way too noisy , but for groups, it is the best option(a lot of space inside). The food was nice, the things that I absolutely love were the desserts!

Fernando ia the politest, nicest and the moat funny person Ive met. The food came really fast and was verry delicous. Highly recommend.

Food is very good and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The majority of staff are nice and friendly, unfortunately we had a surly waiter with an attitude. The only other downsides are that the tables are really packed in, so if you're sitting on the outside of a table you get staff and customers brushing past you constantly. And parking can be an issue. However, the food is very good, just hope you get a decent table and don't get the waiter with an attitude.

I ordered carbonara pasta it was rubbish,never again

I have been to Cocorico twice in person and have ordered numerous times through Eats. Unfortunately one of the dishes I ordered on Uber Eats had to be a joke right? £15 for 3 small rubbery scallops and 2 prawns??!! I would say this restaurant is such a ‘hit and miss’. On the first occasion I went last year in July, the food was brilliant and the atmosphere had a great vibe. Fast forward one year on and the food wasn’t great. Cold dishes and service awful. This isn’t the restaurant to go to if you want friendly staff. They just don’t care. So that’s why I prefer to order via Uber Eats so you don’t have to deal with them direct lol. I have to say the Hawaiian pizza is prob one of the best pizzas I have ever had. My other ‘go to’ is their seafood spaghetti …just amazing ! If you’re ordering online my advice don’t order anything new like I did. Stick what you know and save your money.

I ordered 2 nights in a row. That should tell you enough:) The Melanzana Parmigiana is fresh and tasty. I also has the Spaghetti Bolognese which was delicious and a very nice portion. I will definitely be a regular

My go to Italian place in north London. Been coming for years and love it more than your Mayfair spots. Great quality food, tasty, excellent value for money, service is brilliant. Can’t recommend it enough.

Food very bad quality, I’m not sure if it’s just the name Italian or the food and quality of it. I took a whole sea bream and of course I wasn’t expecting to be fresh but at least cooked properly, looked like they cooked it in microwave and put some tomato sauce on top! Salads very bad with little or no dressing at all.I’ve never had worst food. So sorry. I’m not gonna visit that place again! The only thing was ok, was the pistachio ice cream!

Good quality food and pleasant environment.

They gave us a table for four and the ac started leaking over my husband’s head we said nothing and we just changed tables, when the waitress came to take our order told us that we need to decide quickly or we can come tomorrow which was terrible as no one told us that they will close in 1 hour, TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! No one came to ask how the food was or if we need anything else so we had to try many times to call them if we wanted anything! A bug was on top of the wine glass that came in the table horrible and disgusting, no manager came to apologise! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER TOTALLY DESTROYED OUR NIGHT!

Why was my discount 0f nearly £9 {Accrued by previous orders} not applied to my order despite showing me it would. IS THIS JUSTANOTHER CON TO DEAL WITH???

My first visit for birthday lunch - (kept it discreet) visited on a Monday lunch hour and it was busy which is an excellent sign. We sat outside, however the I had a chance to look in the restaurant and it was bigger than I thought with plush glamourous decor. The staff was super friendly, welcoming and was very attentive to all customers inside and outside. I treated myself to a beautifully flavoured half lobster with linguine. delizioso! Thank you and will surely go again! :-)

I took cannelloni with cotta and spinach, ...there was little ricotta....you could only taste the pasta..., then I took hamburgers, the meat was too thick and very dry

unfortunately my mozzarella starter has come looking like right SHAMBLES. the salad is MUSH and there isn't even mango chutney with one of them. there is some other sauce which I wasn't expecting ?! do better! serve separately if necessary to avoid serving much and cold food

With a good choice of pizzas, pasta dishes and more, this was a great place for lunch. The spaghetti vongole was delicious and the garlic pizza bread was superb. The service was excellent.

An authentic Italian restaurant. We have been coming to Cocorico for over 5 years. Every time we visit the staff is amazingly friendly and authentic. The food, despite a huge menu, is consistent and good. Not an easy challenge for many restaurants. It is always a joy and we will keep coming back.

Pizza’s were good, but the ham was extremely salty. Too Salty to go on a Pizza.

It was my mother's 80th birthday and we thought we'd have a meal here. The staff seemed uninterested and blaise about showing us to our booked table and were slow at attending to our drinks. For my starter I ordered "spicy wings". When they arrived they were very tough and chewy as if they'd been cooked days before, kept in a container in the fridge and then microwaved and slathered in a bottle of cheap BBQ sauce before serving to me. Needless to say I didn't finish them. Next for my main I had a fish mixed grill which was, tuna, herring,salmon and mackerel with 3 tiger prawns and some cherry tomatoes. They had "searing" lines on them as if they were just barbequed but I'm very sure they weren't. They appeared to have been just chucked on my plate with no thought of presentation and when I tried to cut into them they were tough as old boots and smelt rancid. I believe yet again they'd been cooked days before and were possibly out of date, seared on hot coals then left in the fridge until some unfortunate soul ordered them and the 1 minute auto heat on the microwave did it's job turning them into rubberised imitations of what was once cheap fish fillets. Unsurprisingly again I failed to finish. If you ever wondered what the eruption of Mount Vesuvius was like I can tell you first hand, hot lava and a strong smell of sulphur that's what I experienced when I got home. The whole experience was a complete nightmare and I'll never ever go back to COCORICO

Really nice restaurant, food is amazing, they have suitable children menu, high chairs for little ones. Staff is very accommodating. Usually do not need reservation. Street parking available after 6pm for free.

Booked in for early evening as a family. The music was a little loud for comfort inside but staff found us an outside table and it was a perfect evening weather wise so all good. I order Calzone and a couple of us had pizza, these are all absolutely excellent with the best pizza dough I’ve ever had. One of us had the risotto which was still good but not quite as exceptional, and I am not sure prawns in their shell are best in which a dish. Overall though great location, great staff and food between good and amazing. Will definitely go again next time we are in the area.

As we had not booked a table we were very grateful to be told that they had one free . We ordered food and drinks and were enjoying our meal when the Maitre D advised us we had to vacate the table within five minutes. We ended up finishing our meal outside as we had just ordered deserts. We had been in the restaurant less than one hour at this stage. The waitress was very pleasant but the Maitre D needs to go to Charm School as last time I checked the restaurant business falls under the umbrella of hospitality. Further to your reply we arrived at 6.15pm not 5.15pm . We had an appointment in Barnet at 5.15 pm so we could not have been in both places at the same time. Please check your clock has been changed to summertime.

Unfortunately the worst spaghetti carbonara ,I have ever had and they didn’t seem to care. They took it away brought it back said there was nothing wrong with it.Used to be good but not now.

Unfortunately for me I had food poisoning after my visit last night. I ate the tuna steak and my first instinct was the taste wasn’t quite right but dismissed it. To be honest this is unacceptable and I am furious that I’ve been subjected to this as I was violently sick last night.

We had a lovely dinner with my friend, food was delicious, portions are massive, deserts are home made and very tasty. My favourite Italian restaurant in North London now. Highly recommended 👌

Nice flavour, shame it was stone cold. Delivery took 20 minutes for a half mile journey, therefore cold pizza.

Very poor service, and if you go with kids the adults HAVE to order food!! (never used to be like that). If you want a place that is more welcoming to families then I'd recommend Lavender Seeds (formerly known as Palmiye Kitchen) just up the road. When we arrived I asked for a table of 4, the member of staff serving us barely acknowledged me, walked right past us to outside the restaurant where he started talking to someone and left us waiting for him to come back in. Then when he seated us I had to ask twice for our order to be taken as no one came to our table. Then, after the children had ordered, I asked for a drink and he told me I had to order food because I was with children. He was really rude about it so we decided to leave. I was about to spend at least £30 in the restaurant whilst a couple could come in, only one of them get a starter for 6 quid or something, and that would be fine. It's ridiculous and a horrible attitude to people out with children, like they are somehow second class. When I explained this he told me it's because the kids' menu costs less!! I mean, obviously- they eat less!! It costs less in every restaurant, and this is the first i've I've been to with this ridiculous policy.

All the food would have been very good if it came hot and not cold.

A group of us ate here to celebrate two of our birthdays on 21/04 . The service was lovely especially the waitress from Albania who was helpful , friendly and her personality really added to our enjoyment. She helped to make the experience very positive . The other servers were also very good . What was really horrible and very disappointing was the rudeness of the manager at the end .We didn’t want to share the bill as it would have been unfair on some so we decided that the two people who didn’t indulge as much just pay for their own . Then we would just split the bill . When the two of us went to pay our own separate bills he was extremely rude from the outset . He mocked my response when he asked me what type of pizza I had . I had to leave as I was getting upset at his attitude ( I didn’t give back any attitude to him at all ) . He continued being rude to the other person left paying her bill . It was absolutely uncalled for . We are are group who always go out to celebrate each others birthdays and we will never come back here again . I’ve worked in service and am really shocked at his attitude. As I say the servers were lovely but he let the whole place down .

Food was great and early, but unfortunately we were missing 1 item from the order. - The Mozzarella, Garlic & Oregano Pizza Bread was missing.

Been visiting Cocorico Italiano for many years. Very welcoming staff, always being there for anything and always ready to provide suggestions or information of each meal. Management is always making sure that everything is on high quality standards and we felt that we are being looked after a lot as managers were there to ask us if everything was alright. Food is amazing, we had pizza, pasta, and steak which was as always delicious. There are so many unique cocktails which the bartender is giving always decoration touches that are making the cocktails on next level. Bartender was very helpful and had a huge knowledge about what he is serving helping one of our parties on wine decision and drink recommendations. On our way out, the owner was there to thank us and ask us for feedback which made us feel very grateful. Highly recommended. Special thanks to all the staff for their hard work.

I have eaten here twice. Never again. The service was rude, everyone's food came at different times, the wine was off. Friends also went here and the same problems. Dreadful.

Really enjoyed my first visit here. Partner had the half chicken, I had spinach and mozzarella stuffed chicken. Very tasty and filling. Waiting staff mostly attentative, but started clearing table before last person had finished. Would still recommend.

EXCELLENT SERVICE Good choice. Excellent food quality honestly, one of the best local Italian restaurants! Fair prices, welcoming environment, very kind staff, always smiling and helpful, normal appearance time like in any other restaurant.

As I stepped into the restaurant, the sense of rush was palpable, instantly putting me on edge. Throughout the meal, the waitstaff darted around, adding to the frantic ambiance. Then, out of nowhere, a waitress muttered a swear word in a language I couldn't comprehend, leaving me feeling awkward and offended. To top it off, while we were still eating, everyone around us seemed to be donning jackets, accentuating our lingering presence. The service was incredibly poor, with long waits for everything, adding frustration to the already tense atmosphere. The experience was far from pleasant, and it tainted the entire dining experience with an unpleasant aftertaste. This happened yesterday around the time 8:30 we entered it was 2 Italian older looking ladies that were mainly being rude towards us. They didn’t know that we spoke the same language and could understand them calling us words such a the b word a when are they going to leave. Never going to come here again it is extremely disgusting

First time ordered from here, truly the best pizza, exactly the same pizza you will get in Rome!! I got the margarita with goat cheese and olives 👌, good price, very tasty. I ordered through Uber eats, seems like theres only one size pizza which was 13", wish if they would make bigger pizza sizes.

Good restaurante with a great environment. Gives you fancy feel with well priced quality food. Just be warned they turn off the lights when singing happy birthday (it’s pitch black) maybe should consider dimming instead. Had about 5 happy birthdays while there.

The place is beautiful but stinks of rotten fish as soon as you walk in. As soon as I smelt the rotten fish I wanted to walk out but had to stay because of the crowd I was with. I ordered a pizza and pasta and honestly I have been throwing up ever since because of the smell and texture. The pizza was soooo salty that no amount of water can justify it. The pasta was luke warm and soggy! Not fresh came out the freezer: The pizza cheese was also frozen and I will not recommend this place to ANYONE! WILL NEVET EVER EVER COME HERE AGAIN YUCK!

This is a fabulous restaurant. My first time eating here and very impressed with the venue. Reception was extremely friendly, courteous and the place is spotless. It's like a Tardis , with loads of space for a large party or celebrations. The food is absolutely beautiful and very nicely presented. If you're thinking of going at the weekend, book in advance , it's very popular and gets busy. Great experience. I'll be back 🔙.

Went here to celebrate my niece's birthday. Wonderful evening. All the hosts were attentive and the food was on point. Lovely atmosphere. Really had a good time. Special Happy Birthday song chosen for my niece too. Definitely a gem in Whetstone.

Lovely staff and service ,great food

I went on a Sunday at 1.30 pm and the first thing you’ll notice is the impressive size of this restaurant. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the food is good. It’s best to book in advance. Since the restaurant is located on the main road, parking is available on a side street or in a car park just around the corner.

cocorico is really nice. I planned my bday there with 10+ friends and we had a blast. Service was really nice & food is great + reasonable prices. It was embarassing when the lights went out and everyone sang me happy bday

Great food and friendly service. Place is huge and has a nice vibe. We had the goats cheese and mushroom starter which was lovely. Goats cheese wasn’t very strong. We couldn’t decide what garlic bread to get so the waiter offered us half tomato and half cheese which worked. Spaghetti vongole was lovely as was chicken Caesar salad. Recommend!

Very nice, spacious and friendly restaurant. The food was amazing, definitely worth returning. Perfect venue for either group or intimate date nights.

Excellent service from restaurant to delivery address

Me and a couple of my friends went to this restaurant, somewhere we always used to go to a few years ago and enjoyed it every time. I believe it has been taken over by new management and has changed enormously. I ordered a veggie wrap, which I usually order, but this time it was luke warm, the veggies were soggy and the wrap was also soggy. I know if I kept the meal, it would have not be eaten so unfortunately I told the manager I wasn't very happy and felt very sorry that I didn't like it and was hoping to swap it. The look on his face was pure disgust, and he snatched the plate from beneath me. After this, the whole experience felt very uncomfortable and awkward, in which he refused to serve us afterwards. As a manager, it felt very unprofessional that he was very judgey when I was very regretful with my decision, and then he proceeded to send 2 other members of staff to serve us as he didn't want to interact with us. He looked fuming the whole time and was watching us eat, which made us feel uneasy, especially as 3 girls. If you like feeling uncomfortable and eat in rude, unprofessional environment with mediocre food then this is then place for you. The downfall of this restaurant is very upsetting.

The food was cold and arrived late

Missing items out my order.. restaurant said they sent the food out so either the driver has taken the food or the restaurant is too stupid to get 5 items in an order right when I asked for my missing food they told me to re order and pay for another as it’s just eats problem. Terrible service not willing to help or find a solution. Not the first time this has happened either.

I like location of the place and interior. The rest Unfortunately is absolutely no for me. Food is below avarage ( nothing to do with real Italian food), but the worst is service! Staff is very rude, not welcoming just want you out as soon you are entering the place! I will never go there again! I prefer Izgara in Whetstone.

I got food poisoning by eating the chicken
