The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

First time visiting this evening, what a lovely experience. The food was amazing and such a cosy authentic atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

Maravilloso - un verdadero restaurante italiano dirigido por italianos. Bueno para los veganos, ya que hay opciones veganas para todos los cursos. Esta fue nuestra primera vez cenando en Timo y sin duda volveremos de nuevo. Hay un ambiente italiano real y la señora que nos sirve fue paciente conmigo usando mi pequeña cantidad muy olvidada de italiano, que era divertido. Gran comida italiana con buena calidad y vino italiano de precio medio. Los veganos recuerdan - hay 2 o 3 opciones para cada curso para que podamos disfrutar del restaurante también. Benissimo!

Fantastic fish and chips. Big portions, but not cheap. Very tasty.

We go here quite often and it’s very consistent. Nice rooms although it can get very noisy. Sunday lunch is particularly good and really excellent value. Service very hit and miss, often slow at clearing plates.

Lovely people, very friendly and great food

Trying to find somewhere to get in with 5 people. This had the space thankfully and can’t fault it. Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and service was spot on

I reserved a table for 3 well in advance. We were greeted by a very rude man who pointed to a 2 table and said you can have this. I have too many people. A group of 25 have arrived on a cancelled booking. They were all seated. I had to practically negotiate to get him to honour my reservation. He fumed at everyone in the place all evening. Rude and abrasive. Turns out he is the owner. The staff were embarrassed. We had bread and a Main and left. A lovely get together ruined.

We have only eaten here on a few times. Always a good experience. Friendly staff and tasty food. We will definitely go back.

Drinks were OK. Service was horrible. Waiter was rude and not helpful at all. Would not go back.

Opted for the £12 weekday lunch menu. 2 courses for £12 (optional third course for £3 although I was charged £6 and didn’t realise until after)- but I did take the tiramisu to go, and it was divine. Bruschetta was so so good. Pizza was pretty decent too :)

Thank you to Ellen and her team for hosting my daughters 8th birthday. Fantastic, kid friendly experience. Good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Very pleasant place for an informal meal. Lovely food and efficient service

If you haven’t eaten here and you like traditional, authentic, Italian food and wine, then it’s a must. The menu was superb and the cocktails ands wine matched it. Service was fantastic. Give it a go. If you know food you won’t be disappointed.
