Zucchini Italian Restaurant in Kirklees

The place is great but, and it’s a big but:- We got there at 11-45, we were early for food but sat and had a drink. The girls were very pleasant. 1 - there web site should be updated. £6-95 for buffet it’s now £12-95 very misleading! 2 - the plates were cold 3 - the food was warm and we had watched it come out, nowhere near hot enough. This could have been compounded by putting it on cold plates. 4 - coffee was lukewarm mentioned it to the girl but no replacement. This is just a warning to anyone thinking that they will get a meal for £7 good job we had taken more money. 3 people, 2 soft drinks, 1 wine, 3 coffees and 3 buffets approx £60.

I ordered by phone to collect, I went there to collect it to find it had not been cooked so had to wait couple of minutes and they missed some of the orders so I had to let them know.Before I paid it was different price to what I saw online so I asked the staff they said the had changed I told them should have updated the website. Such a shame I felt very stressful due to communication breakdown

I had a wonderful time at Zucchini’s in batley, the food was tasty and the service was prompt and courteous, would definitely recommend

The food was exceptional, the service attentive but not overbearing and it was a very relaxed and busy atmosphere! I would highly recommend and I will definitely be visiting again!

Table left unclean for the full time we was sat here. Even by the time we ordered desserts the table was just full of our main plates and empty drinks. Terrible service too, everything came out wrong. Sometimes it’s good to appreciate busy times but this was just a joke to be fair😅

Second visit in 2 weeks and the service is getting worse. We went a couple of weeks ago on a Wednesday for tge offer. We waited 25 mins for drinks and tge food ended up coming first. We ordered a second drink that never arrive. I mentioned this on paying the bill and was told it was because it was a offer night. We have been numerous times before on a "offer night" and it's never been like this We have visited again tonight (no offer and very quite). Trying to get tye attention of waiting staff is a challenge and a half. They wander round paying no attention to tables. Some just standing daydreaming or chatting amount themselves. One girl doesn't even interact with any customer. This place has seriously gone downhill since the old staff left. Now its just kids with no motivation or leadership. I know we are not the only one who have experienced ths as we have friends who have said the same in recent weeks. Will be avoiding for the time being

From the very moment we entered the restaurant, we had to stand and wait 25 minutes for a table (pre booked). On eventually getting a table we were kept waiting for our order to be taken, another 20 minutes, we eventually placed our food order and once again we were kept waiting. After a further 30 minutes we were informed that the starters we had ordered were no longer available, buy this this time we were very annoyed, and so went to see Igor the manager to voice our complaints. He was useless, and did not resolve the issue at all, intact whilst we were voicing our issues, he left the restaurant to take another member of staff (Mario) home, he said he would be back in 10 minutes leaving teenager's in charge, we subsequently found out he would not be back for at least 1/2 hour. By this this time after being there for at least 2 hours with no food and a total lack of customer service we walked out, never to return.

Food was average, I’ve had much better Italian food elsewhere but the biggest disappointment was the service. Waitress was pretty rude and we were basically forgotten about. Starters came out fairly quickly, but we waited 30-40 minutes after finishing our starters before someone came to clear our table which meant there was an hour between finishing our starters before we got our mains. No one came to check if we were enjoying the food or needed anything else. We ended up getting up and going to the bar to order more drinks. When we finished our mains, someone came and cleared half the table and then never came back to take the rest. We got up and went and paid our bill as it was clear no one was coming back.

This was our second time at this restaurant and I will be returning. Food is excellent and the staff very attentive however don’t rush you eating. Prices are very good and the restaurant is lovely inside.

We called in as a couple for a last minute meal to celebrate a birthday. The place was busy but they squeezed us in. Starters we both had calamari and the portion size was large. This was looking good. Mains was a steak stroganoff and a fish dish. Neither of which disappointed we even stretched for deserts which were light and just enough. Will hopefully be back here soon thanks to all the team there

Always have a lovely meal here & Igor & the team are really friendly. Food was excellent as always. Some great deals on here at the moment. Monday’s are Italian night 4 courses for £14.95. Wednesday nights are 2 for 1. Tonight it was packed.

Had a lovely meal here tonight with friends. Bonus was that it was pizza/pasta buy one get one free! I had lasagne and it was delicious- the others all had calzone. Friendly staff, really nice inside and it was very busy. Will definitely be back

Very pleasant oasis in Batley, would recommend. Food good as was the service and reasonably priced, easy to park as well. Was there for a rugby match and it is very conveniently placed for this.

I've been coming here on and off for a few years and the service has always been it's down fall. But last night is the first time I've had a problem with the food. So firstly we got put in a quiet corner which at first we thought was good as lot less noisy. However it seems to the place to go to be forgotten about.... We ordered our food after about 40 minutes a waiter looked at our table and could see we didn't have our mains so went to the kitchen and gave us a thumbs up like it was coming. About 10 minutes later it came out. Mine was cold and had clearly been sat under the lights for ages so I sent it back (1st time in my life I've ever done this), my wife then cut into her Calzone and the dough was still raw. I waited for a couple of minutes trying to get someone's attention but then got fed up and walked the full length of the restaurant to hand it back and they said they'd do another one So 2 out of our party of 4 eating, about 5 minutes later mine came back out and then another 10 mins or so the replacement calzone came out. The waitress was very apologetic and didn't charge us for the mains, and I've always been able to accept the poor service as the food was great. But when they food is poor too it's a very bad sign

Visited on a busy Thursday night, hardly any staff. It took ages for us to be served. Waited 45 mins for a starter, 1 hour for mains. We basically got forgotten about. There were waitresses walking about with their hair down (not tied up). Any restaurant knows this is against hygiene rules. Shame about the truly terrible service as the food was really good!

We had booked knowing Saturday night would be busy,we got there in plenty of time and they couldnt even be bothered to take our name the person just said go to the bar you have to wait. So we arrived at 19:15 for 19:30 meal and after a lot of badgering the owner and others we were shown to our table at 20:25. So booking waist of time as they just cram in as many as possible. Food was OK but better italian ones around that believe in customer service

We love this restaurant and have been going for year's. The staff are great, and the food is good. Last night we went to celebrate a birthday. There was 11 of us. Unfortunately the restaurant was packed so the noise was horrendous, we couldn't even talk across the table, not sure how you can sort this, maybe not as many tables/ booking together? Also sitting at long tressel tables isn't good, we spoke to the person either side, that was it. Maybe putting the tables together in the middle making the tables more Square. We were also sat at the back wall so everyone was having to move to let people in and out of the seats.

My favourite restaurant. Been visiting here since I was a youngster and it's still my fave Italian restaurant of all time!!

Still a great place & great value on Monday night’s Italian night. I eat here most Mondays. I can’t beat it. Awesome atmosphere. Well worth a visit

I come here weekly. Usually on a Monday but always a nice experience here. Friendly, hard working staff. Had the specials today. A tourine of Mussels. There must’ve been at least 25. Omg... The ribs! Had a take away pizza and a side of ribs. Amazing as usual, but that rib sauce is amazing. Ribs fall of the bone and the sauce is great for dipping your crust. Very happy.

We went to the restaurant on Saturday and had an excellent birthday meal , there was a notice to say the "Italian" four courses for £14.95 had returned to Monday nights so we booked a table for 5:0 clock, glad we did because by 5:30 it was busy. We had the Italian meatballs for starter, very tasty with a rich tomato sauce , next came the pasta , Ragatoni with chargrilled vegetables and another spicy sauce.Main course was either Seabass with Lobster sauce or Pollo Stroganoff both served with golden rice and both perfectly cooked. To finish it was Apple tartlet , lovely sweet apple chunks in crunchy pastry base add a bottle of house red wine and two coffees and the bill ? ...£50.19 !! Thank you to all the awesome staff at Zuchinnis for a delicious takeaway this weekend. Zucchini’s is one of our favourite restaurants, the take away service received was absolutely fantastic & food still as mouth-wateringly gorgeous.

Spoke to a lovely guy on the phone, ordered food, beer and wine. All came in at a reasonable price - a discount was given on top. Payment could also be taken over the phone. Beautiful food and delivered in under 30 minutes by an equally lovely delivery lady. We visit zucchini’s with family every Christmas and had never thought about takeaway until now when we had the dilemma of needing a bottle of wine and food. Zucchini’s solved that problem!! Highly recommend - thank you zucchini’s :)

Because of the situation we are all in at the moment our chances of eating out for Mother’s Day Celebration were cancelled. This amazing family restaurant came up trumps by giving take away options. We had the most delicious meal delivered at fantastic value in less than an hour x thanks so much for making our day complete x

We had a family celebration here and as This restaurant is quite big and usually packed at the weekend didn't know y to expect.But we had no reason y worry as the standard the food and the service were excellent.There are even special offers for diners having pizza or pasta dishes.Overall I would highly recommend this place.

I ate here this week in a group of seven. The food was nice. Unfortunately this was marred by the poor service and lack of communication. I accept that mistakes are made (we’re all human). Unfortunately the waitress took my order wrong. Why I am writing this review is that I struggle to accept being left sat for 10 minutes after everyone else had been served with no explanation or apology as to where my meal was. I would have left a happy customer if someone had just returned to the table and explained the error. A real shame.
