NB: CASHLESS! It’s a long while since I last went to (this) Zizzi. Didn’t know Zizzi had gone cashless. Not impressed at that. The food was pretty good, and hot. It’s just a shame that service has not improved since I last visited. Service is forthcoming to begin with but then you’re forgotten about and left sitting with empty plates from your first course with no service in sight when you want to order the next course and/ or coffees. Staff levels too low for number of tables occupied. Staff that were working didn’t seem in a hurry either. As with most places now, especially chains, the prices have rocketed. For the experience and cost I don’t think I’ll be rushing back.

Great food, great service as always. Love that they cater for kids, food, seating and cutlery. Plus colouring crayons and colouring paper. ✅

Lynsey had an amazing attitude, was very helpful and charasmatic! She checked on us regularly with a smile and over all great service!

Karl was incredible and the food matches but the whole occasion was made better by Karls professional and fun attitude and demeanour. I always go back to places if the people are good and I'll be back to Zizzi's for sure.

Efficient,friendly, advisory,helped accommodate dietary requirements. Karl made the occasion even better,what an asset to the business.

A great experience, we hadn't been before but excellent staff, a great atmosphere and tasty food, the glasses were frosted from a freezer (something I understand which is about to stopz which is a pity as I thought this a great touch). We'll be going back again.

She made the whole experience feel really personal and enjoyable. It's rare to come across such a genuine and attentive service, especially from someone so young. Hannah D is a real credit to your team - we'll definitely be back. Good luck with your driving test and keep smiling Hannah! You got this! x

We went for lunch and it was exceptionally busy. Our waitress was lovely and apologised for the length of our wait on food (we were the for 1.5 hours). When our food arrived it was beautiful but the wait was very long. The staff were all very rushed and it looked as though they only had half the staff required for the amount of customers that arrived. The kitchen was struggling to get out all the orders. It was as though they weren’t expecting so many people in. Definitely worth a visit and we will be going again.

Nice family meal at Zizzi restaurant in Birstall Retail Park. Great good and fab service. Tried the new Rustica Vegan meatball pizza as it sounded interesting. Tasted nice and seasoned well, nice spice to it. The aubergine balls were a bit drier than what I expected.

Hannah was a great waitress! Will be back :)

Our surver Lily G attended to all our needs and all services we received were amazing. My quote to my partner while here (on my first visit to a zizzis restuant, was that "i think i have found my new favourite resturant" I will deffo be back.

Very overpriced canteen food. I wanted a really good bowl of pasta, but what I received was a tasteless watery mush. Very little seasoning and nobody dared come over to check on me. From entering the restaurant I must have been waited on by at least five different members of staff on a two course lunch. Every detail and every item was brought by somebody new. I had ordered the pasta Bolognese but had requested the up sold Mafaldine pasta rather than the ordinary spaghetti. I didn't receive this but I also wasn't charged for it, so I accept it as an honest mistake, and not something on its own I would make an issue from. My order arrived far faster than it takes to cook Spaghetti, and the spaghetti was over cooked and the sauce wouldn't stick to the pasta. I was never offered any cheese or black pepper, and nobody came over to check if everything was ok. I did order a glass of wine to go with my meal, but had nearly finished eating by the time it arrived. All in all just a very disappointing time especially when you consider the cost involved, over £15 just for the pasta alone.

Absolutely Gobsmacked. The food was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!! Cooked to perfection with lots of delicious flavours and juices that’s came with it. The staff were incredibly welcoming and were extremely polite. Would highly recommend you come here. The chef is truly amazing.

I wanted a really good bowl of pasta, but what I received was a watery bowl of tasteless mush, that arrived far faster than the time it takes to cook the pasta from fresh. The pasta was bland and soggy, and the sauce wouldn't stick to it. I had ordered the upgraded pasta to Mafaldine, but received standard spaghetti. The waiter's and waitress's don't appear to have assigned tables as each item was handled by a different person. I was served by five different people on a two course lunch. I was only charged for the items I had, but the food quality was terrible.

Hanna was great. Very funny and very attentive. The service was great from other staff as well and food is spectacular as always very consistent.

Food was great in quality and quantty, our server Hannah was amazing, very friendly and helpfull give her a raise! The door was left open making the restraint quite cold but that's the only critique.

We were determined to go out and have a family meal. We decided on Zizzi’s and glad we did. Lynsey our waitress was awesome and every time she saw to us my daughter said “they are so nice here!” Great night would go again and again.

I believe front of house at birstall wearing all black braces and black hair - extremely rude no customer service. Was told on arrival and not before whilst booking that they only took card only which we tend to use cash as we don’t believe in moving towards a cashless system which if we knew this before then we wouldn’t of visited zizis and will not bother again. Front of house then stormed off in a huff as we questioned where this stated where it was mentioned and apparently it was on the website which when looking it was not there nor does it confirm anything about the changes prior to booking or after booking. When then stating the issues to I believe may of been the manager he wasn’t bothered and I had to ask for an apology for the rude attitude of his staff that he should be managing. And then to be waiting another 25 minutes for our bill.

Wasn't happy with today's service at Birstall was booked for 4.45 and was clearly it spoilt mother's day due to being placed near the door which was left open placing orders was left for 30 mins after being seated by this time we qas ready to actually leave to go to another restaurant that bad we just wanted the bill for the drinks and we was ready to go Iv visited the restaurant maybe 2 times a month and for today's experience as spoilt mother's day and mine and other experience of visiting this place again. Todays spend was over £100 with out desert and only for 3 people wish now we actually went somewhere else

Olivia provided great service and checked in with us to ensure we had everything we needed.

Food was lovely and we didn’t t have to wait long to receive our food. They did forget the kids starters but they quickly rectified this once they brought the mains out. Served by Hannah.

I’m vegan. I paid £14.00 for a salad which was mostly lettuce. I probably won’t return now which is a shame as I’ve always liked the restaurant. I’ll go somewhere with more value for money.

Nice environment standard food and service

I have been to the zizzi_s in Leeds the light and was very disappointed, however, the birstall branch deserves 5 stars as the food, service and atmosphere was excellent. What a difference, same restaurant different location and staff. Thank you so much for restoring our faith in zizzis and our waitress Lynsey was spot on!

Food & service was great, our server Hannah was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Absolutely lovely visit today, a short stop in for some desserts was met with very friendly staff, especially Lynrey who was especially friendly during our visit, will go again.

Considering this is a chain, the quality and authenticity of the food was great. The open kitchen allowed us to see how much care the chefs were taking. Front of house was obviously understaffed but the team, especially Hannah, did a fabulous job juggling with a smile on her face. Will definitely come back.

I’m not happy with the service. I have mentioned I want starter before the main meal but they served all together and they were not friendly at all. Also I wanted hili sauce and they bring hot honey sauce which I don’t like and charged me 1 pound for one or two tea spoon sauce!!! I wouldn't come back here.It not worth!

I was not satisfied with my experience. The lady serving us was not friendly at all. The food was average—I ordered the chicken pasta, but there were very few pieces of chicken in it. They also charged £1 for each sauce, which was a very very small portion Additionally, they brought the starter and the main course together, even though I had specifically mentioned not to. And despite this, they did not cancel the starter!
