The restaurant was very busy, but I was served really quickly. Delicious hot food, ordered the Hudson burger with fries, it was larger than I expected and the ingredients were so fresh. I will definitely have it again.

One of the greatest comfort food dishes I’ve eaten. Try the Sizzler it well worth a visit. Been coming here for a couple of years now, staff are always great, friendly and comfortable atmosphere.

I went with my friend for the first time. We ordered pasta and a steak, the steak was okay nothing to write home about we enjoyed it. The pasta on the other hand was horrendous. Didn’t match the description in the slightest, tasted like a microwave meal and like it had been reheated. Both of us haven’t felt well since leaving the restaurant. We tried to address our distaste with staff however there was merely an apology and they said they would take the feedback on board. Definitely won’t be going back.

Place looks great and great service. I had the chicken burger, even though it's looks good, it's lacks taste. The sauce was overpowering everything else but even the sauce itself was abit bland.

Sorry to say, but this place has really gone down hill. Food is not what it used to be, very overpriced for the quality. Had to wait about 10 minutes to have my order taken, and it wasn't even busy. Saying that, they did get the food out fairly quick.

Nice Chicken Tikka Shaslick,. The Tikka was tasty but at times very over powering and salty, I did ask for no coriander in/on naan bread but still was on it, naan bread was cold and tasted like it come from the pre packets you get from supermarkets, The rice served with the tikka was also not warm but was nice and tasty.. Ide recommend giving it a try but i wouldn't advise to get naan bread unless you like the supermarket ones

Great food and great service always

Love the creamy tagliatelle, I picked it up for takeaway and it was piping hot and fresh. The mojito wings were nice too a bit spicy for my liking but enjoyable.

1st time experience. Delicious food and reasonable prices. Very warm and friendly atmosphere. Recommended.

I was there with my work team, food was tastt, had pizza and it was good. Place looks clean and neat. Service was very positive.

I love this place. It's warm and friendly, the food is great and well presented and it's not expensive. My son loves it as well. We will be back in the New Year.

Ordered food never showed, phoned they stated they had tried phoning. Came to a salutation waited another 30mins phoned again ignored my phone call rang on diffrent phone they picked up straight away. And basically told us to cancel the order. Disappointed as we really like there food

Its 1:30AM and I just returned from Salt & Crust, Batley. Although i m tired but due to the wonderful experience, I am obliged to write this brief review. We order sizzlers, burgers, chops, wings amd all the mojito drinks... Every thing was exceptionally good. Mine was The Bronx beef burger, served with fries..yet it was the best beef burger so far.. Our orders were taken by a young , energetic and very well mannered gentleman Mr. Aamir,. And he made sure that everything was served on time, and we all could enjoy our meals at the same time. We wish the town of Batley best of luck for having Salt & Crust in the heart of ur town

90% of the menu “isn’t available”, why have such an extensive menu if u can’t deliver it

I’ve been in the area for last three days and feeling gutted to put this restaurant for my last dinner. Food was absolutely fantastic. Sizzler 10 out of 10.

Came in at 9pm, we ordered steak. Which I thought was absolutely gorgeous! My and my partner was so so shocked at the quality of the steak and how soft it was! To say we’d walked in at 9pm and still got such a good steak! 🥩 overall was such good quality and good service!

Chicken came raw with still blood in. Pasta very chewy

Had working lunch with some colleagues. Food was spot on.

i went in last week with my family ,got the prawn dish for me it was too salty ,so they got me another dish which had a delicious sauce with prawns ,also we got sizzler and some other dishes which we really nicely cooked ,and also the mocktails were nice too

Amazing Food & Service one of the best experiences I have had eating out and not to mention the staff who go over and beyond to make sure you’re welcome.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this time I think these guys definitely deserve a shout out! They were so busy today with it being the day of giving for charity fundraising. However, the staff got the food out in time and professionally and food was great as always. Thanks guys, you did tremendously well today as a team 👍🏾

Absolute 5 star experience. Never met such lovely members of staff who were ensuring all their customers had a wonderful experience as well as fundraising for a worthy cause. It was super busy but very well managed! Atmosphere was absolutely brilliant and the food was spot on! Really quick service without compromising on quality! I would definitely visit again. Overall, a very pleasant experience :)

Food is always on point, never disappoints.

I am so disappointed with the service we received yesterday. The staff are absolutely lovely but the manager (I think manager- guy with a baseball cap on), was so rude. We rang the day before asking if they play music as ma sha Allah they had a charity day yesterday with all funds going to palestine and were told they do but would change it when we came in. Defeats the whole purpose of raising money by displeasing Allah SWT at the same time by playing music. So we came and alhamdulillah after asking several members of staff for the music to be turned off they did, can I just also mention "anaasheed" with music is still music...anyway after about 40 minutes, alhamdulillah everything was fine, received our drinks and were just waiting for the food then SubhaanAllah all of a sudden our ears got violated with some sort of nightclub music and we were shocked. We didn't mind if the manager said no at the beginning, and we would have gladly walked out but that wasn't the case. My husband then spoke to the manager directly and the first thing he said was "can I ask what your problem is" and how he had other customers in the restaurant in such a rude manner and in the end, ended up in a heated discussion where we had to leave. We had our 3 YEAR OLD son with us as well. Music is haraam, simply put. Gaza are suffering due to our lack of obedience to Allah SWT and this cause tainted with music would have not helped the situation at all. It was such a beautiful cause, such a shame the manager was blinded by his haraam desires.

Wow Wow Wow…from the staff, food, atmosphere to the amazing cause (Palestine) they were supporting on the night! We were greeted very warmly by the owner as soon as we arrived, after a few minutes of wait we were seated in a cosy booth Given how busy they were on the night the staff were very attentive, the steak was cooked to perfection and the oven baked pizza was mouth-wateringly delicious The atmosphere was lovely with Islamic nasheeds running softly in the background, what an amazing set-up. I will be returning!

Delicious meal with my daughter, great service, superb staff. despite the fact it was busy due to fundraiser the standard of service was exactly like we've become accustomed to from this restaurant. superb cosy atmosphere and welcoming ambiance.

I visited today for the day of giving charity event. The restaurant was full and extremely busy. The service and food was 5 star! Thank you to the management and staff for holding this charity event. Really recommend the stone baked wood fire pizzas!

The peri peri/lisbon style stone baked pizza is always on point 👌👌 I have eaten it both in store and as a takeaway - note that I always collected my takeaway orders so I could eat the pizza fresh. As with all stone baked pizzas, they're best eaten fresh The sizzler was flavoursome, cooked well and very filling The chicken shashlik is also a go to for me. I'd recommend it if you like stronger flavours The cheese on the nachos was cold and not melted, which was a bit disappointing but food overall was brilliant

The food was 10/10, couldn't fault it. The staff were absolutely fantastic. My child was being very disruptive, they were so kind and patient and even tried cheering her up with extra food. Thank you so much.

Nice family atmosphere. Friendly staff especially the pizza chef who got my kids to make their own pizza free of charge! Food quality was very good.

Not something where you would like to go again, food and service was average (wings were ordered as starters and were served with mains and blood was dripping from one of the wing) ambiance was nice though.

First visit tonight and it was a great experience the food was gorgeous staff were friendly and a really good atmosphere. We will definitely be back. There were loads to choose from on the menu so might need a few visits.

Honestly cannot fault these guys. I’ve ordered the Apollo Burger every time it’s been that good. I normally don’t write reviews but felt like I needed too for Salt and Crust. Restaurant quality food, cooked to perfection every time, I’ve never been disappointed. Always tastes amazing. Food is very reasonably priced for the quality, will definitely keep ordering so glad I found them

A lovely environment for family and children I had a fantastic evening great service and food.

Not good... chairs caked in dirt and a grubby interior. Didn't stay for food as it was not clean enough for humans... felt filthy after leaving.

Hamaad is terrible customer service

The pizza here was top tier !!!! The sizzler was also very nice but the wings for me lacked a bit of flavour but were they failed for me was the khobeda, sadly there was no flavour whatsoever . Overall though I would say it’s a very decent place to dine good attentive staff and very reasonably priced also.

Absolutely lovely place!! We didnt plan to come here, but noticed it as we were driving to a different place, and we liked the look of it. Really glad we came. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, parking outside, decent prices and also HMC certified. Food was spot on. We had the istanbul pizza, some loaded potato skins, doner kebab and fries. We also ordered some mojitos. The pizza was very tasty, amd had a good kick with the chillies ( i managed 2 chillies, then took the rest off). Doner had a nice meaty taste, and the salad and naan bread that came with it were a nice accompaniment. Loaded skins were nice, especially after we added salt and peper, asthis reallybought out the taste of the toppings. Mocktails were also tasty, although overall im not a massive fan of these types of drinks. But mrs loved her passion mojito. The only thing i didnt like was one of the sauces, initially thought it was garlic sauce, but seemed quite sour, and i think it might have been made with sour cream or something. Overall very nice food, and would definitely recommend this place.

Overpriced food and drinks. Nothing special about taste. No tap water served either. If they have pride in their own food, then let people enjoy & pay for the food. Not to worry about thirst in a hot sunny weather.

Make sure you check your bill. The prices in the menu do not match the till. When we pointed out the difference they said we are in the process of updating the menus. But they did exactly the same 4 months back. They also pull the "our card machi e is not working". When you say is it ok if I come back at a later day to pay? Conveniently the card machine starts working.

The burgers were nice but lacked flavour. The churros were amazing though!! Service was great and the waiter was attentive. The atmosphere was calm and I like how they have attempted to make the tables “private” with boards. Overall a lovely experience.

Food tasted synthetic, too much going on for any actual flavour. But they refuse to give tap water with meals, even when the temperature was 20°+

Family first visit to Salt&Crust, great quality food experience all around. Full of flavour with every dish we ordered. The food here is the best I've had in a long while. Reasonably priced and really fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive. Give it a try if your hungry. You won't be disappointed.

Great food especially the authentic style pizzas and the lasagne. The prawn dishes are especially good and I would go back just for the butter sauce!

Fantastic food but poor customer service from one of the workers who is rude and unprofessional. Other members of staff had to apologise on his behalf but swearing, being rude and abrasive after being asked a simple question is unacceptable

Absolutely disgusting food, pizza was horrendous, uncooked and came out cold, when I tried to complain, the owner dismissed me and said go else where. Needs shutting down

Currently seated while making this post. One of the appeal is to be able to see the food being prepared and the open plan clay oven. Was told by a member of staff to go back to me swat because they were, 'busy'. What do you expect it to be during sat lunch time? Was very annoyed, don't think will be coming again. Customer service atrocious.

One of our regular places to visit with the family. Their is Consistency in the quality of food over the many years we have been going due to the same chef.

I don't mind paying the prices, but when you're paying that much for around 5 or 6 cuts of meat is a bit of of a rip off. More carbs on the sizzler

Just had a takeaway of 2 burgers for my wife and myself. Probably the best burgers around. I’ve also had pizza from S and C and they are just as good. Definitely the best takeaway in this area.

Food is good , but charging 3.50 for bottle of water was a bit of a disappointment no option for bottle water , steak was ok but v expensive in my experience £39.99

I ordered the sizzling pasta, burger and wings. At first time before I went to the restaurant the manager advised on the phone that I should book a table and the food will be ready within few minutes when arrived. The food came a bit late but the issue was with chicken they were undercooked and blood was dripping from it. It was not just me who saw the blood on chicken but other couples also raised this with the owner of the restaurant. Instead of acknowledging the issue he was just insisting it was not blood. The fries were soggy as well not cooked properly. Lastly, when I was paying the owner again who was actually rude decided to put a tip on the card machine that I didn’t ask for I just wanted to pay my bill and leave!

Good food and nice atmosphere. Went for Iftar and the food was out on time and warm. Only downside was they didn’t do larger water bottles, only 330ml bottles.

We regularly went to this place several years ago and enjoyed there peri peri chicken roast and pizzas then had bad experience during pandemic and gave a bad review, but now we were passing by today and thought of trying it again and this time I must say they have improved 200%, also they are one of the few 100% HMC approved restaurants keep it up brothers.

I went for lunch yesterday, ordered the mixed sizzler- which was a mistake as the chicken was rubbery and meat very chewy- stick to one type of sizzler if you go. Churros were very nice and fresh. Music was very loud, had to ask them to turn it down, and it’s a shame they don’t offer tap water considering everything on the menu is quite expensive (pubs have to serve free tap water, but no regulation for restaurants)

The Sizzlers are always a must for me. The pizzas are also delicious and their starters are yummy too. I'd recommend the potato skins and the cravette parisienne if you like prawns

Excellent food & Service. Highly recommend the sizzlers. My go to place in Batley, whenever I crave a sizzler. In the last 5 years the service and portion size have certainly improved. They are very accommodating for infants and make an excellent small (9") margarita pizza with fruitshoot for only £5 - highly recommend if you have young children. The staff are friendly and accommodating. People have to understand at busier times it is difficult for them to be attentive to all. Please do not base your judgement on negative reviews. Go in and try for yourself.

2stars because i don't want to be mean... But 1st and last time I'll be going here. Definitely a must avoid place. Its called salt and crust but the lasagne had no salt and the cheese was so cheap (rubbery cheese) And they charge for water, dont they know there's a recession, everyone's gas/electric bills have gone up people just about afford to go to restaurants and they want to even charge you for water, HELLO I'LL HAVE TAP WATER, no one is allergic, we have tap water everyday... And customer service could do with some improvement, some of the staff came off as rude... you know who you are ...

I’ve ordered deliveries from this restaurant a fair few times and they never fail to impress. The lady over the phone is very helpful wether it comes to me making mistakes over the app on ordering or information on the food. It’s great quality at a cheap price not to mention how quickly food arrives!

Absolutely rubbish,food took about 1hour and 30 had to ask the waitress 3 times for a drink terrible.

5*s for the breakfast, can't fault the food so it's only fair to give 5*s I had a full english- very very tasty and the vine ripened cherry tomatos made me feel like I am eating out and treating myself. Loved the sausages, not had these kind anywhere else. Portion sizes of beans, mushrooms was spot on too. Highlight was the karak chai, again uniquely flavoured with a hint of ginger, very tasty. Second dish ordered was Indian breakfast, generous portions and the mango pulp was a unique addition in comparison to other local brunch offers. Our waiter was exceptionally polite, helpful and attentive. We felt he may have needed some help but it was very quiet the time we came in and soon after 11am additional waiting staff came to support. Things to improve: * Have salt and pepper on the table (or ask to add on items like eggs) * Music was too loud and not correct taste for breakfast/early morning. Would be nice to either have something toned down, quieter and not the same music played on an evening. When we asked the waiter to lower the volume he was very helpful and did this straight away. Would recommend and return for breakfast.

Great food with creative flavours and combinations, burgers and pizzas are fantastic quality and excellent service too. Nice seating area, all halal and shakes are good too especially Lotus biscoff

I ordered x2 mixed grills for me and my friend both were chicken Shashlik and lamb donner option , I’m not even joking when I say this is by far the nicest kebab I’ve ever had in my life , the food was mouth watering tasty , portion size was incredible, presentation was perfect, waitress was friendly and couldn’t help us enough ,I will definitely be returning next time I eat out , every dish I’ve tried from here never fails if anything they get better , 10/10 well done , compliments to the chef ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
