Luigi's in Redbridge

I visited with my 2 sisters. Have eaten here previously as well. Although that was over a year ago at that time food was good. However on this occasion and I think it might be due to new chef not sure. Food absolutely diabolical. Mash was definitely packet. The cheapest worse prosecco I've ever drunk ( trust me us sisters have tried a good few)... When we complained regarding chicken being cold in the middle. We were sent an apology with 1 glass of prosecco to share between the 3 of us. Never going back !! Seriously avoid

Nice Italian cuisine but requires some improvement on customer service and facilities in the premises, for Restaurant without a toiled in working order is unacceptable.

Having been born and bred in this area, I have driven past this little Gem for 35 years! Have been here a couple of times now for birthday celebrations and I would like to say in my opinion this is the best Italian restaurant ever❤️ Amazing home cooked tasty food, cooked to perfection, staff lovely and attentive. Would highly recommend and we will be eating there again next time we’re in the area. Shame we don’t live nearer as this would be our go to on a Saturday night👌

We went for the unlimited lunch buffet for £29.50 inclusive of wine and beer. Tons of starters including prawns, roasted aubergine, mushrooms, sausages, corn on the cob, ribs, fish and chicken goujon, pizza amd so much more. You choose 1 main from a large selection and then buffet desssets - crème caramel, apple pie and custard, cherry and chocolate cake, amaretto cake, fresh strawberries and raspberries, panna cotta and loads more. Honestly the best value for money and really tasty food. The staff are so friendly and they have a 2 piece band going round the tables singing and playing an accordion. Go and judge for yourself - we’ll definitely be going back?

Went for the fixed menu on Sunday lunch, unlimited starters (help your self buffet) plenty full selection, good choice's of main roast dinner including a fish choice, inc wine & select yourself sweet, not rushed from your table.

Don't go there if you like wimped it will be wasted on you They treat you like a customer and not like an idiot, they serve fantastic food but if you prefer imitation Italian food go elsewhere, if you like crappyy service this not the place for you...the restaurant and staff are fab

I cannot recommend this place enough. Food is top tier. Atmosphere is amazing. Everyone who served us was the absolute best. If there were a way to give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would.

Had the christening of my baby here. Been recommending in the past to a lot of ppl to make the party there as was everything perfect. Now i've been a bit dissapointed comparative with other times. I hired the place from 5 to 12. Arrived at 4 30( they gave us coffee without paying-really grateful). Paid for the dj menu as well but I had constantly to say to the waiter to bring for him food as well AS I PAID. Waiter was super in rush and literally running without even managing to say something to her.Receiving the cakes that were included in the menu around 7pm altought i paid from 5. I didn't agree with the kettle to make your own coffee. Is a restaurant with party not a canteen or breakfast

Luigi's is a traditional Italian restaurant that has served the local community for many years. A visit there is like going to an old friends house...Good food and great value.

I visited Luigi, on their Italian nights six times but I was food poisoned twice. I will go there for the music from now on and not eat, I can not trust their food. What is the point of having a open food bar when one might get food poisoned?

Visited this restaurant as it’s the only Italian restaurant in the area. After having visited Naples recently I decided to order the Neapolitan pizza and it as nothing like it. We were in a group of 6 but it ordered garlic bread and it looked like garlic bread from the supermarket with some cheese on top. Pizzas was tasteless and didn’t seem fresh. The best part was probable dessert and the wine at the restaurant. Def won’t be visiting again.

Good group meal, I had gamberoni starter and lamb rack main with vegetables. Pannacotta for dessert. All well cooked and served without fuss or much delay. Others in my group were not quite as impressed with pizzas, but their choice was limited by being vegetarian.

Let’s start by saying that the food was good and that I enjoyed it. I ordered the gnocchi with Gorgonzola, spinach and cream. The recipe needed that little more of the cheese taste to come through. Unfortunately spinach and cream do tend to make food taste a little bland and that’s where the Gorgonzola comes in. But it didn’t cut it. The plaster needed some more salt but I appreciate some like it some don’t.

There as a guest speaker for a Probus lunch meeting. Set menu served efficiently to approx 30 people. Not specifically Italian cuisine served but the vegetable soup, main course of veal and desert of apple crumble was very good and didn't slow me down for the talk afterwards! Nice area for private dining so good for functions.

It is a very nice traditional Italian restaurant that serves amazing food 😋 we went here for our daughters birthday and had a great meal. luigi himself was very friendly. He accommodated us very well, the food is fairly priced. I would definitely recommend 👌

Food was fresh and delicious. Live music on New Years Eve by the talented duo enriched the atmosphere with festive cheer. We will be going again soon. (The live music is on Sundays and perhaps on special days)

Stunning restaurant with a lot of history. The hosts were fantastic. Family run business it seems, its a lovely place, plenty of areas to sit. Even has a back garden! The food was out of this world. Real authentic Italian cuisine. So impressed. You cannot go wrong. We had a large party of guests and they were able to accommodate us all. Thank for for a wonderful evening!

Lovely Restaurant .But need to think about people that are Dairy free .Don't do soy milk or sorbet. Live in the times and think about .Allergies.

Wonderful restaurant providing a genuine Italian feel. The seafood pasta is unrivalled, however, stay away from the liver! Wonderful service although it was on a quiet night. Good experience overall and I will definitely be back!

First visit despite living in the area for years. All I can say is that this a truly authentic Italian restaurant and a hidden gem. The staff are all lovely and helped us make the right food choices. My only niggle was there was party going on in their banquet room next door and the pounding music could be heard through the wall. So can only give it 4 stars. However, this won't stop me going back.

Revisted this place after 17 years,its gone well down hill.will not be returning. No cocktails.limited alcoholic drinks. Needs redecorating. Female waitress really rude and was made to feel unwelcome. Food was pretty tasteless. When i said i didn't want dessert she said thats ur choice shall i get the bill. I asked for another alcoholic drink n it seemed like she just wanted us to leave. There was also a wedding going on next door n we couldn't hear each other. Female needs retraining in customer service.

Pizza only Margherita, but not even this good, and the service was really bad!!! The lady who is serving us,very strict and somehow rude!! We tried this place 2 times and both times bad experiences!

Not great to be honest. I can speak up for vegetarian menu ( coz I am vegetarian) Respect the restaurant is well established and have long presence in local area. Let me come to the point. Supermarket Garlic bread takes more merit than what we get here. I didn't expect such low standard from a ethnic Italian restaurant. Similarly, Bruchetta is of low standard. We ordered ribbon pasta with white sauce and mushrooms. The ribbon were stuck together whilst cooking and it turned up as 4 ribbon pastas bundled up resulting uncooked pasta in-between. I separated them and ate the rest. Non alcoholic drinks menu is just off the shelf products like Coke, J2O, Lemonade is also from 2 litre cans. There is nothing passionately done to prove its Italian. Desserts: Seems they brought from wholesalers specialised in supplying to restaurants. I didn't go and watch in kitchen but my best guess is Black forest getao and tiramisu are readymade stuff not made by restaurant chefs. I found this restaurant is more pricey to what actually they deliver.

Quite a dated place however, service was good. Food was decent - nothing to shout out about to be honest. Rack of lamb was on the specials board however, the waiter said it was lamb cutlets and not rack of lamb which was fine. I asked for pink and my friend asked for medium to well done. Both arrived charred. Mine not so overcooked but, not what I was expecting to be frank. The starter was a tad bit dry (mozarella) no olive oil dressing but, overall wasn't too bad at all. Desserts were good as well.

Trying to ring them several times to book a table but no one bothers to answer the phone!!!!!

Had a 3 course meal here. The starters were nice. The main was brilliant. The desserts very well balanced. They have good wine. The prices are decent. Serve a good variety of meals and staff are friendly.

Went for a dinner, had frito misto for starter which was very nice, my sister had mushroom pasta and I had the seafood spaghetti. Thoroughly enjoyed the flavours of both, can't fault either dish. Service was friendly and quick, lovely meal out.

It was Xmas work do...wasn't very impressed as I'd heard good reviews but a few years back. The staff were miserable and not very friendly...food was mediocre 😕

We only popped in for a very quick bite, but it was a very nice meal and we enjoy it very much. The Sea bass was lovey and the lamb chops were just as nice. Very well looked after. Would thoroughly recommend.

Amazing food.4 out of 5 for the place .

Gents toilets really grotty, consists of 1 cubicle with no lock, stains round the seat, grubby all round, handryer doesn’t work. My wife confirms ladies not much better. Adequate service, 1 choice of pizza but you can have toppings but have to ask as none on the menu. Went for meatballs spaghetti - was the blandest Italian I have ever experienced in 40 years. Spaghetti cooked well but that’s not hard, no taste, little sauce, meatballs were mushy & couldn’t tell what meat they were if in fact any. Best thing was the garlic baguette & bottles of beer (once the warm glass had cooled down). Can only suspect there’s no real Italian competition for miles. Very poor & thankfully will never go again.

This place has really gone downhill. The food from starters to mains was bland. Piccolo in Wanstead is the best Italian by a country mile.

Delicious authentic food with friendly staff. Shame it was so quiet though. The outdoor area looks like it would be lovely on hot summer nights- takes me right back to Italy

The food was good! But the general ambiance was only ok. The ladies washroom toilet didn't flush and the hand dryer didn't work. There was a VERY loud party next door and the thump thump of that music rather ruined the experience.

The place is very homey, food was delicious, the service was super friendly and the desserts were excellent, their drinks menu looks small but if you ask about the options of any products, there are more than the ones listed there. I will be back many times

Rating as a delivery driver- always a pleasant experience when i get an order to pick up from luigis. Food is piping hot and staff are very professional.

I totally enjoyed my evening here! Lovely Italian food and wine, attentive staff and fairy quick service. They also have outside little area and therefore you can choose where are you going to dine. This is family restaurant and you can feel it in the atmosphere of this place. Ideal place for a little celebration, romantic date or just an evening meal however it's good to book a table in advance because later it can get busy. I would really recommend this restaurant.

Been going here since I was a little girl and my family had been for many years before. The staff are always so nice and friendly. Have moved away now and am honestly gonna miss going there

Amazing traditional tasty Italian food. Great portion sizes and lovely sauces with the chicken I ordered. The prawns in garlic sauce tasted awesome. You can tell fresh products are used when cooking.

I went here for my birthday this Friday the barman was superb make it is pulsar martinis and espresso coffee The fillet was cooked to perfection I would definitely recommend this place and definitely go back the staff were amazing thank you for my celebrations.
