The Chef, Jordan was very helpful. The food was excelent.

Strange restaurant. We had; Bread and olives - meh. It was toasted shop bought, kinda average bread. They had one bottle of olive oil and balsamic across 10 tables so we had to wait for the other table to finish their starter. Then the bottle to pour it seemed clogged as we barely got a drizzle. The other start was great. Aubergine Florentine. Aubergines, peppers, courgettes, lots of garlic, nice tomato sauce, and lots of cheese. This is the only reason I'm giving it 2 star. Then for mains we had soggy veggie pasta and a risotto that was under cooked rice (and it wasn't even risotto rice). Oh also, the fork we had was already dirty.

why have i not been here before ? the food is amazing we had homemade chicken and mushroom soup to start it was excellent never tasted a soup like it the mains were delicious too staff very friendly will definitely visit again

Awful lunchtime experience. Was served by chef/waiter. Really cheerful guy. Couldn’t fault him. Brought drinks and food promptly. Ordered pizza . Dreadful quality pizza base. So cheap , like cardboard. Sparse toppings. Fries were chunky frozen overcooked. Such a shame, in its day this used to be a great pace for lunch .

Incredible atmosphere and decor, open plan kitchen where you can see your food being cooked in front of you. Great service and quality of ingredients. I'll be coming back 🙌

The restaurant was lovely, clean and cosy, the waitress welcomed us and showed us to our table. We ordered drinks and ordered our meals. Our food came within a reasonable time but sadly that's where the good news ends. The food was terrible quality, tasteless, the tomatoes sauce on the pasta was like something jarred from a cheap supermarket. The sea food was very poor quality, tinned tuna, chewy tiny prawns ( about 3 in the whole dish), poor quality muscles which did not taste like fresh ones. There was no taste of garlic or Italian herbs, the sprinkle of parmesan needed a magnifying glass to see it. Also about 90% of the meal was pasta and just regular dried pasta that is so cheap from the supermarket. The chicken pasta was much the same, tasteless cheap sauce from a jar, poor quality chicken slices and a tiny sprinkle of parmesan. Again about 90% pasta of this meal was cheap dried pasta. The pizza one person had was very ordinary and not handmade like a proper Italian restaurant would do, Pizza Hut are far better so that tells you something. The drinks were fine. All in all a very disappointing meal, we would have enjoyed a Supermarket ready meal far more....should have stayed at home !. Da Vinci I assure you we will not be returning.

this place is a peace of shiti went here on a friday i saw rats on the kitchen floor and i had to wait 45 mins for my drinks and 2 hrs for my food this place should be shut down i hate to say it but i also saw some kid getting killed in the back off the place

Did not know this restaurant but it was in a convenient spot...had the best meal of my vacation. The lamb was good and the treacle pudding with custard...sublime...highly recommend.

First visit on Friday was impressed with the menu. Food was served quickly and very hot. Garlic bread was divine 😋. Good sized portions too. Would definitely go again. Only "down side" our orders were taken but menus not removed. The same waitress took our dessert option but didn't ask or give me time to select cream, ice cream etc and had to come back to ask 😕. Will definitely become a regular here.

There were 7 of us looking for a place to eat on Saturday lunchtime. Most of the pubs in the town centre are either full of drunks or blasting football at top volume so it was a real pleasure to find Da Vincis. The food was delicious, the service top rate and ambiance perfect. Ten out of ten.

Had our Xmas get together on 7th Dec, food excellent, but I must say our lovely waitress and she was all on her own, she had no other help serving drinks, food and clearing away, was brilliant, never got stressed, did absolutely everything smiled all the time we where there, first class , definitely recommend

I went for the first time with my cousin who was visiting. Lovely clean restaurant Extensive italian menu food was freshly cooked and piping hot . Staff friendly and welcoming prices very reasonable Portions generous highly reccommend

Great food I had the fish plate and it was very nice. The wife had some chicken skewer dish, if I had to be a little critical it could have done with a little more chicken but she said it tasted very nice. Will definitely go back again.

Last minute meal to start our holiday. Lovely friendly staff. Table we sat at (our mistake) was not clean but was cleaned straight away. Starters & mains ordered. Starters nice but average. My partners main was a pizza which he said was nice but he ordered fries but chunky chips was given to us. I ordered fish risotto. The fish was hard and chewy. I can only imagine it was frozen fish mix that was used. Thankfully we didn’t pay for the risotto. Wine was nice also but we won’t be visiting again. I now have stomach pains so not looking forward to the rest of the night.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the food was not tasty what so every, worst carbonara I’ve ever had.

Welcoming staff and service as always. It has been quiet on the last couple of times I have visited but that might be due to the time (5ish straight from work). Some portion sizes are big (spag bol) others could be larger (lasagna). All food is clearly homemade, fresh and very tasty. I will definitely be back.

Called in a couple of weeks ago on a Monday night. The food was good fresh and very tasty, the waitress that served us was so good making sure we had everything we wanted, would recommend.

Book a table..this place gets packed..food is not the cheapest but it's well worth treating yourself

After a brief conversation I found myself with a 6.30 appointment for a lasagna.. got there and the place was already half full.. was quickly seated and browsing a menu.. drinks ordered and arrived within minutes..the waitress must of took my call earlier as she asked if mine was just a lasagna..I added a garlic bread..as I sat waiting for less than 10 mins the place was slowly filling up.. you need a reservation..we were packed in like sardines, but it just added to the charm of the place..there was 4 chefs and 4 waiters.. the chefs were all prepping and putting together fresh pizza and steaming dishes for the wait staff to serve..the waiters moved around the floor in a sort of dance they was taking them full circle round the restaurant in big circles..at 1 point everyone stopped and came to surround a table singing happy birthday to a embarrassed young guest..the chefs were even banging utensils it was mesmerising.. food wasn't long and it was delicious, I'm assuming the lasagna dish had been in the pizza oven as it was bubbling away for a while.. not the cheapest, but was worth it.

Beautiful food cooked fresh to order. Enjoyed our lunch so much I went back the next day with my friend!

We were here as a party of 14 for a wedding meal and it was a perfect night. The chefs got all the food out at the same time and every dish was perfect. The service staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Every time we've been here it's been a great meal and night, so we keep coming back.

Nice enough place but it just doesn't give off the feeling of being Italian. Foods ok though.

Been coming to da Vinco for years but service was extremely poor and then was treated very badly by the new younger management on the day I was in, they were insulting and very discriminative, so badly that I will not be back!

Wow! Just wow! The best garlic bread me and my partner have ever had and the mains didnt disappoint either... totally delicious. Staff friendly too to top it off. Definitely coming back again

It's worth a visit & enjoyable comfortable place to eat.

Slow service. The risotto was made out of normal rice instead of risotto rice. The chicken in it was rubbery and the meal was very very bland, even with loads of salt added to give it some taste. Suppose to have been cooked with saffron - none whatsoever. I’m sure there were other decent meals on the menu but the risotto was a no go

What a superb place. It was a family meal with our nephews. We were welcomed so well and had the most wonderful experience. The good - just perfect. Great portions and prepared perfectly. And the staff - having a laugh with the team there made the night ultra fun. We will be back again and just want to thank them for such a pick me up on a wet Monday evening. Fully fully recommend.

We have never been disappointed here but tonight we were , it was reasonably busy and the young male and female waiting staff were very nice , however the food was not great 2 out of party had the chicken the sauce was good but the chicken was a bit tough and not the best , the poor young waiter told the chef and he was a bit angry about it which we heard as he threw something across the kitchen , Don’t shoot the messenger it wasn’t his fault . I’ve only given good reviews in the past but not sure we will be back anytime soon

The food was excellent service not so even though not busy. There was no atmosphere could do with having some kind of music in the background. Very smokey from the cooking need better extractor fans. Would still go though because the food is so good.

I was on a holiday and we were looking for an Italian restaurant. So I'm basing this review on european standards of a Italian restaurant. So here goes: The food was ok and cheap, however some of the menu choices completely baffled me. A pizza for a starter for example. How is a full size pizza a starter? The service was not very professional. The waitresses were friendly but they need some training. Basic things like table setting were not done correctly. Putting knives and forks on the wrong side. Same with glasses and water. Our starters and appetisers were brought at the same time. By the time we finished the ridiculously large pizza starter, our appetisers were cold. Finally, we got a tiramisu desert but I think they forgot to put the cacao powder on it. Unless its their own creation, in which case I ask: why change it? So my suggestion to the restaurant is to train your people, slow down the food (one at a time) and replace the starter pizza with an actual garlic bread with cheese. If you want to serve pizza (which you should) put it under the main dish.

Food was great! Well done to the chefs! Young man server was also great, trying his best. However, one of the female servers seemed unhappy with life, didn’t feel welcomed by her attitude at all ‘lovly’

Normally food is banging here but received steak undercooked which was tried to rectify but on this occasion did not succeed and had to return for refund

VERY BUSY NICE FOOD , COOKED TO ORDER POLITE AND WELL DRESSED . SMALL EATING AREA , BUT ADEQUATE

I can’t fault the food, service or value for money. It really is excellent. But please please please do something about the air conditioning/extraction/ cooking smells. At best the smells become annoying and your clothes smell when you leave. At worst your eyes sting after 30 mins and you can’t wait to leave. I thought it was me; sensitive eyes maybe. But we took my 3 yr old niece and she started rubbing her eyes after half an hour, not stopping until we got into the fresh air.

We came a couple of weeks ago with Friends for my 70th Birthday. The down side was we were on a table near the door & people who were coming in were not closing it, & the evening was very cold, wet & windy so we had to keep getting up to close it until it was brought to the waitresses attention, then they made sure the door was closed. The food was lovely, nice & hot, also very well presented. I will look forward to eating here again. Thank you Da Vincis.

Couldn't be any happier with our works Christmas meal here. The staff were helpful over messenger from the start accomodating for us all, and when we got there everything was super organised. Food came out quick, orders were all spot on, the food was all delicious and everyone went home with happy bellies. Not my first time eating here and always been a happy customer

Never eaten at Da Vincis before. Two of us are vegans. I absolutely love a good pizza. I chose the veggie pizza. Alternatively my other vegan option was a tomato based pasta dish. When I ordered the pizza I asked if they had vegan cheese. They said unfortunately not. I asked why. They said if we had given them notice then they would have bought some in for us. So instead we had pizza with no cheese. How disappointing. This town only thinks of the meat eaters. Bet they had plenty of dairy cheese in.

I went for a birthday meal with my best friend and the food we ordered was roasted ham and goats cheese salad and it was amazing. We both had the same meal drink and dessert and the was amazing to. We will be back for more.

1st day of holiday, decided would like an Italian so after looking around the menu at Da Vinci looked pretty inviting. Wasnt disappointed the food was delicious and came out very timely. I had the ribs as a starter which came of the bone lovely, sauce was amazing. Main course had garlic bread and the lamb dijon,. Potatoes were tasty and fluffy. Lamb was tender with a sauce not tasted before which was enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful highly recommend this restaurant

Me and 3 friends dined in your restaurant last night and it was the best night, our waitress susie was amazing very friendly, helpful and funny. She helped us with the bill and chatted with us about making puddings and also gave my friend advice that she definitely needed 🤣. The food was spectacular 👌 I could eat it all again now. The atmosphere was spot on love it there..

Greeted on arrival and taken straight to our table. Very clean in dining area. Table was pristinely set. Meals were ready at the same time, excellent considering we all ordered different meals! One of the staff offered to take a photo of all of us so everyone was in the photo. I would recommend a visit to this friendly and informal restaurant

What can I say ,amazing place ,great food and the lady that served us was an absolute delight,you don't get staff like that these day's,most are bloody miserable but this lady was a pleasure so smiley and couldn't do enough for us,made a lovely fuss of my little son to ,will definitely be back again.
