House special pizza is fantastic

Found the owner rude and charged us for items we didn’t order.. Went for a special occasion and as we was seated the owner said the garlic bread will be brought to us very soon however no one ordered this so we thought it was complimentary, it wasn’t and was put on our bill at the end, I didn’t like the garlic pizza so only one slice was left and when the owner served me my main he said to me make sure you eat it all don’t like to see food go to waste (this wasn’t in a joking way either) so I felt I had to eat every last bit. Aswell as this when he gave me my cutlery my fork still had food on it which put me off my meal, the bathrooms was very disgusting with urine on the floor and lots of dust, went back to the bathroom about 1hr later and it hadn’t been cleaned.

Lovely quirky italian restaurant, absolutely amazing food and the guy who runs the place is an absolute legend! He's so funny and polite.

Lovely decor, very friendly atmosphere, great food, and excellent service! It was our first time visiting and we had a very warm welcome. The food was served quick and was delicious, cocktails were also amazing. We had the Sex on the Beach and the Green Eyes, both lovely! Definitely going to return here :)

All the staff at Valentinos made my birthday celebration a night to remember. The food and service all evening was first class from start to finish. Furthermore, more Ramsy the owner of Valentinos made me and my friends feel like part of the family. So, if I was going to rate my evening it has to be 10/10 and we will be returning soon!!! 😀🤙

False adverising dont do it unless you just like pizzas. Me and my wife were so lucking forward to this meal as we have been before a couple of years ago and was busy and fantastic food. After my eyes saw the supposed dinosaur saw size lamb ribs as adverised and fresh pasta we couldn't resist booking. On entry we were plonked in the middle of the cold room (as supposidly heating was broken!) and given a beer mat to prop up the wonky tabel, funny to start with but it got worse, we ordered ed garlic mushrooms which didnt taste of any garlic and smotheted in what i would d say was milky cream? We were given a fresh portion but obviously they dont taste there food!just the same!! After receiving ribs like pigeon legs i asked what type of dinasaur was this from,he just laughed and said he couldnt get them any more! The pasta wasn't fresh, out of a can i expect which he disputed,all the other food wasnt good apart from the garlic bread! Wasnt happy but i paid my bill because i think they must have been struddling, they need to get the food right to make money, they were friendly but a bit narked when i complained, i didnt go there to make friend just eat fresh italian food. Disappointed and wont be hoing again, not sure whats gone wrong since last time?

Honestly one our favourite restaurants, we only visit cleethorpes for this place! The service is above and beyond. The food bangsssss! We travel from Essex just eat here our holiday is planned around this place, and the fact he remembers us after a year was amazing!

This really is the best Italian restaurant in Cleethorpes. The food is delicious and the service is truly Italian stallion! 🤭

Visited the restaurant on a Thursday evening. There were a good number of diners in at various times in the evening. The owner was the only person front of house and he is super friendly, efficient and perhaps a tad eccentric in a nice way. Service was great and the food and wine were also great. I had the prawn cocktail and then the veal. All polished off with a bottle of red and the cost was more than reasonable.

Lovely meal tonight with my family, food was cooked great, atmosphere was fab from start to finish. Will be back, thank you.

First impressions greeted by a very enthusiastic waiter and shown to a table. Obviously this act was to try and cover up how bad everything else was! Table was sticky, cutlery grubby, glasses not clean. Ordered a bottle of Valpollicella to be told hadn’t got any but had an alternative. Fine until we went to pay. Tried to charge nearly £4 more because it was a more “expensive” bottle and also tried to charge more for garlic bread because he supposedly gave us a larger one. Mains were average. The whole restaurant needs a deep clean the loos should be condemned. Service very haphazard, other orders were wrong to nearby tables and another couple ( who were local) walked out. In the end we paid cash for the price we should have been charged. Put it down to experience & left. Will not return

Amazing place our waiter even made me something specially since i am quite a picky eater i loved it and the meal kept us full for 2 days personally i don't like pizza but that sauce made me like pizza

Food was absolutely amazing, very authentic Italian and I can’t speak more highly of the service, went above and beyond to accommodate our very fussy son. We will definitely be returning.

Why 5/5 - it’s simple. It’s fantastic. The whole experience. I remember it opening and going with friends , and today so pleased we dropped in after returning to the town this year. Pizza - best since we are in Rome Atmosphere - just great Staff - you have to experience it. Superb. This will be our place for pizza now we are back.

Make sure the server gets your food order right, thick accent so he’ll get it wrong and charge you for the wrong food and the new food that you want. I wanted one spaghetti bolognese, comes out with a bolognese pizza and two spaghetti bolognese when my friend didn’t even want to eat. Refused to listen and made me pay. Well on first impressions a nice quirky restaurant however I know consider it be grubby & dirty,toilets did not go down well. Found food very basic,average at best hair found in pizza ,wine Brought to table open no cork or top ? Kebabs ok chips awful more food left than eaten party of 8 present. Must be better places to eat one to avoid.

It was absolutely terrible. We went out for a family meal and they gave us dirty plates and a glass with lipstick around it. Food was horrible and I do not recommend!

We popped into this restaurant to make a reservation for the next night as it looked busy for a Friday night so we wanted to make sure we got in on the Saturday evening. I asked for a table for 4 people at 6.30 and the owner asked if we could come at 6pm instead. We arrived at 6pm and were seated without being asked if we had a reservation. After 40 mins, we hadn’t even been asked if we wanted drinks. Eventually our order was taken, although the menu seemed to be out of date as they didn’t have the wine we wanted and we could only have chips with our main meal even though the menu stated jacked potato as an option. 20 minutes later our drinks arrived. 45 minutes after that our food arrived, the waitress said she had 3 meals but couldn’t tell us what it was. My brother had a pizza which he said was OK. The rest of us ordered Polla Alla Crema which we have had several times in numerous different restaurants before but it was very bland with no flavour in the white wine sauce at all. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant. The food and service were terrible and we will never return.

Disappointing first visit to this restaurant. Worst Italian meal ever served. Frozen chicken.. inedible ! Sea food salad looked like something the cat threw up. Lamb ribs so tough knife couldn't cut through them. Jacket potato on menu but owner advised not to have this because it would be too long to cook. On reflexion they obviously do not have frozen Jacket potatoes to serve with the other frozen food. No presentation! No effort made to replace or rectify meal. Although was not charged for the chicken course. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired.. empty tables not cleared. Upstairs wash room broken floor tiles waiting for an accident to happen. Date night ruined 😕

Dirty, not authentic Italian. Coleslaw with calamari, lettuce leaf on top of a tomato seafood pasta alongside another crispy calamari, one olive and lemon? The place makes no sense and needs a good clean. Plates come out dirty on the edges. Weird vibes and don’t recommend.

Don’t be fooled by the pretty entrance and music! The service wasn’t just slow it was none existent. 30 minutes waiting to be served and a further hour and a half for our starter of garlic bread! Starving, we then received our main course which was completely incorrect so we decided to leave, not only did we not get an apology we got treated disrespectfully and over charged by the head of house :(

5* exceptional service and exceptional food. I have come to this restaurant several times now and each time I’m amazed by the quality of food. The owner of the restaurant is a joy to be around and is always so happy and lovely to all the guests and is a pleasure to be around. The food is always exceptional. Last visit I had a calzone and the chips were amazing and the chicken and mushroom inside were divine. Perfect for date nights and amazingly priced will be coming along again this Saturday with friends. Highly recommend

Very friendly staff. Very nice atmosphere. We had some nice half-half garlic bread (cheese and tomato sauce) starter and it was absolutely delicious. For the main, we had lasagna, pasta carbonara and a pizza quattro formaggi. The carbonara did not quite taste like I expected but it was nice non-the-less. The lasagna and quattro formaggi were excellent. We finished off with a nice round of home-made tiramisu which was absolutely fabulous. All in all a very good experience.

Never again. Service terrible.....very slow...verging on snail like and food just about as bad. Very small table given for 9 people even though we had prebooked. General cleanliness was terrible...filthy. Took over 1.5hrs to get the correct drink order. The owner was self absorbed, and didn't listen when taking orders. Over charged for totally tasteless food. I have been to Italy a few times and this was definitely not authentic food.

My mum and me went for an amazing meal. We had a glass of wine outside sat in the sunshine before a brilliant meal. The manager wanted s running the front solo and there was a large birthday party in too. He delivered great service with a smile and loads of character. Will happily return in August for our birthdays 🥳 x

I really liked going to Valentino's; was my first time visiting. The place and decoration is very lovely and the service is really good aswell. I do not give 5 stars only because I wish they had more 'white sauce' pastas. Other than that, everything is great. Maybe one more suggestion would be adding a chilly spice powder on the tables for customers that love spicy food. Really recommend it.

To look at the positives, the restaurant was very cute and cosy and the owner was very friendly. Interesting music choice too, I’ve never heard Evanescence- Bring me to life, played in an Italian. We got the 20” focaccia starter which was great and really good value for money but I’m afraid if you want to order any more food I wouldn’t bother with anything but the focaccia. The pizza was the worst pizza I’ve eaten in my life! Cheap pre made pizza base, cheap tomato base and the cheese was tasteless and the amount of grease was so bad it was sliding around on my plate. My friend got the spaghetti bolognese and it was basically cheap shop bought boiled spaghetti and pre made bolognese, no Parmesan or cheese offered either. I feel like this is the sort of restaurant you see on Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen nightmares. Shame as I’m sure it was a lovely restaurant at one point, but next time I’ll just eat at home for half the price and less tummy ache.

Called up to complain at how bad the takeaway was after getting charged sit down prices even though we had a take away.. To get home and the food was absolutely gross non of the family had any of the food . And then to ring again to speak to the manager but they put the so called chef on the phone who said back to me not my problem if its gross and that I don't know what I am talking about I am the chef if you don't like it go somewere else. Never again will I go here

Came here for my friends birthday and had an amazing time! All the staff were lovely and made sure to make it a special night, food tasted great and everything was very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody!

Food was reheated from frozen in my opinion. The mushroom starter & garlic bread was lovely. The 2 steak mains were absolutely disgusting. Not fresh at all & didn't have a clue on how to cook it. The owner replaced them by bringing a new steak on a side plate then took the old steak off with his fingers & slid the new one in its place. Seriously NEVER AGAIN 😒

This is one amazing place to find and I'm so grateful to have been able to actually go there on a quiet night. The service and atmosphere is great. The owner adds such a flair to this establishment, he's amazing and friendly. Really makes you feel like you're at a family meal.

Valentino’s has to be the best pizza restaurant in Cleethorpes IMO!! I’ve been coming here for about 25 years off and on and the food is consistently of a high standard. If you want consistently good food this is the place to visit. Love Valentino’s,
