Food was excellent, owned and run by Italians who took very good care of us. Service was excellent. Not a huge variety on the menu but the food was superb.

Really delicious food and some great wines in a small and cosy restaurant.

There is no service, there is only one waiter and the food is just for tasting, there is flavor but not for satiation.

I bought meat for 10 pounds. A tabe but arrived. All fasfoods are better. 👁️👄👁️

The bruschetta appetizer was one of the worst I’ve ever had and we ended up leaving after apps only because the food was so bad and the smell from the bathroom was overwhelming. The staff was super nice so broke my heart a little to cancel our dinner order and leave.

Very pleasantly surprised with an Italian authentic meal. The service is super friendly and gives you personal advice based on the menu. Absolutely recommended and best to make a reservation.

Over priced, mediocre food, poor service. I went for lunch with a group of friends, we had not booked but were able to walk in at 12.30 - there were very few customers - there was a reason for that. It was a hot day, but the waiter did not offer water when we sat down. I asked for tap water, but he brought bottled @ £4 for half a litre. A bottle of house wine was £35, main courses were £18 - £28, portions were small, my pasta was lukewarm with 3 small slices of aubergine and some tomato sauce (£22). The bill was extortionate and I felt completely ripped off.

This restaurant is a great discovery. The food is authentically Italian and delicious. We had the linguine alle vongole and the strozzapreti with swordfish and they were both excellent. The service was also very friendly and the prices weren't overly expensive.

Very average to poor food at an exorbitant price! Noting many have given it 5 stars but for us, beef fillet was tough (poorly cooked dry on the outside while pink inside) served with a handful of ‘roast’ potatoes and two bits of carrot. All for £30!! Gnocchi was bland and sloppy - all for £26. With two starters, three mains and a glass of house wine, total price for three of us was over £150! Considering the poor food quality, very poor value for money.

We went out for dinner and the meal cost over 150 pounds for the three of us. Most expensive meal on our holiday. Significantly overpriced. And the food was bland, sloppy and tasteless (our gnocchi). My partner’s meat dish was over cooked and chewy and the bread we were given was stale - worst meal I’ve had for such a very long time. Feel scammed over the horrendous price for such an awful meal to be honest.

Lovely Italian restaurant conveniently located to multiple major London sightseeing locations. Food and wine were excellent, service as well. The ambience was a little more "big city functional" than "Italian osteria," but, I mean.....it's near-downtown London, so that's pretty expected, and it's still a very enjoyable dinner.

Situated behind Tate Modern this delicatessen and restaurant is producing some interesting dishes with a list and stock of wines to satisfy all price points. Service was friendly and helpful and this is an ideal lunch spot post a Tate (in our case the Blue Rider exhibition) visit. We shared some bread and followed with 2 plates of pasta - one of red mullet and another of prawns - both very good. The bill can mount here. We had the 2 pastas, a couple of glasses of Chianti, water and 2 coffees - £130 for 2. Decent cooking and if you like Italian wines worth a visit.

They have signs that it is authentic Italian food, with a server who seems to be Italian. While the food is all right, it is nothing spectacular. The service was rather nonexistent and quite slow.

This was a while ago but my experience kept replaying on my mind and I think a review is in order. I went because it had good reviews but was left disappointed. The food was bland but I didn’t want to complain so I just ate it and half way through I found a hair in my food! For this I did complain. When I complained to the server, the server basically said what do I what them to do about it. Maybe Utterly appalling behaviour. I should have went to KFC instead if I wanted bad service. Actually that’s unfair to KFC since they have better service. Plus the food there is seasoned.

I've been here a couple of times and the taste and quality of the food has been one of the best in London, as far as pasta dishes go! Perfectly al dente, with interesting flavour and ingredient combinations and pleasant service. While not cheap, I think the value for money is more than guaranteed, especially considering the location.

Real outstanding Italian food. Small place so you need to book in advance. Spectacular paccheri with broad beans, bacon and pecorino. Even the second courses are exceptional. Absolutely worth trying.

Delicious food, risotto with venison, mushrooms in cream sauce. Excellent service, good wine selection & suggestions. Small place but creative dishes. Not a spaghetti place.

You must try the cannoli desert! Fabulous host, and amazing food! Will definitely be back!

Food was unique - each dish is well designed with various combinations of the selected ingredients. For those who are bored with “standard Italian food in uk” it is surely worth a try.

What an absolute little gem of a place, tucked away behind Tate Modern. The waiter was very attentive and friendly, and really knowledgeable about the food and wine. We (a family of four) each had three courses, and every plate was absolutely delicious - good seasonal dishes, and generous servings. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return when we visit London again.

Way overpriced for average food! Service below what was expected at that price. No atmosphere and nothing to get excited about. Better off in a half decent pizzeria, at least you’d probably be warm! Never to return.

Quality Italian restaurant. We ate ziti alla Gricia, vegetarian lasagna and delicious pork cheeks, braised in Barolo, with polenta. Everything excellent. Very good desserts and excellent wine. Fast service, friendly and professional staff. Definitely recommended.

This place is a scam. They charged me over £25 for a dish that was smaller than the size of my fist. Ridiculously small menu with even smaller portions. Will not be coming again.

The waitress was so lovely and very accommodating. We arrived with no booking and got the last table. Food was delicious! Small place with very intimate feel! ❤️

This is the best unique Restaurant I have been too. I have been coming here for years and I can not recommend a better place to come to eat and drink. Outstanding service, atmosphere, food and wine. I have travelled all over the world and visited many restaurants and this place is one of my top three! If anyone says any different in the review I am astonished 😦

Just bought a supposedly 200gr of Pecorino. Shame on them I got overcharged big time, they should either buy a new scale or just don’t sell stuff you can’t even measure!

I love Capricci. I had not been in years, but dropped in yesterday for a late lunch mid-way through a day at Tate Modern. The fish dish I selected had just run out, and the waiter suggested the guineau fowl. It was amazingly good. The service is also excellent -- attentive and effective without being overbearing. I felt very comfortable as a solo diner too.

The food is tasteless. There is not much service. The waiter acted like he did not expect customer. Noone served water after we ordered. Surprisingly bad. I don’t know how the restaurant gets such high rating with food this bad. Cup noodle would taste better than this. Disappointment

Very expensive, waited long time to be served food, and then left more than half the plateful. Disappointed not the Italian restaurant we were expecting.

Lovely cosy place with welcoming staff and big portion food. However, a bit pricey. Only downfall is the bathroom.

Found a gem in the heart of London If you love truffles then this is the place for you.

They are overpriced for food and a glass of red wine. And they charged the service fee without asking.

Great food and service. Very low key friendly place. On looking in the window I thought it was a deli that just did snacks but we asked and there was a nice seasonal menu. Pasta with duck ragu was sensational as were the scallop starters. The assorted bread 'nibbles' with oils were so amazing we asked to take the rest of the bread home! The Sardinian waiter was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommend.

Great food with wide selection of wines. The manager matches the wines with the food and you can also buy great packaged products of Italian artisanal gastronomy... Small kitchen that prepares fresh food... Coffee is also great...

Visiting London on business so with a colleague and this restaurant was recommended by the hotel staff. We found the menu choice quite limited especially as a vegetarian. However decided to stay and try the food. The one Vegetarian option was a special so not priced on the menu. We shared the mixed bread nibbles which was OK but way too much dry bread with a tiny amount of butter and oil. Nothing wrong with the mains but given the price they were also nothing special. Recognising higher prices in London we found this over priced for the standard of food we got. The wine list had way more choice than the food menu. Service was fine but we wouldn’t visit again, it’s not in our opinion, good value.

We came across this gem of a restaurant just across from Tate Modern. It’s quite small and even on an early Monday evening was very busy. And deservedly so. The menu is really varied with interesting twists on Italian food. Everything we ate was freshly cooked, very tasty and beautifully presented . Service was friendly and really helpful on explaining the menu. When next in London we would definitely seek this out again.

A brilliant Italian Sunday roast. Lovingly made with top-quality ingredients, bringing heart-warming flavours. Friendly, attentive service, yet leaving us in peace, too - i.e. not over-attentive. Very good choice of starters and mains. I'm from Yorkshire so love my English Sunday roast, but this Italian one was sublime.

Dined here before a show at Shakespeare's Globe (about an easy 10-minute walk). A warm evening so we took a cafe table on the sidewalk for the light breeze and people-watching. The service was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Menu was varied; the presentation and preparation of our dishes (bruschetta, salads, coniglio, and espresso) were just right for an informal summer meal. Interesting and unfussy wine list. Have a glass of Prosecco. Have two!

The restaurant has no ambiance. The food was quite average. The starter was a pepper with a filling of something that resembled canned tuna. The main courses were ok but nothing special. The staff was very friendly and took an interest why we did not touch the starter. We booked through the open table app and after we left they canceled our reservation on the app. Probably to avoid a review. And this is why I took the time to write one!

So pleased it is still there. We hadn't visited for many years.

Avoid. Lived in this area for three years and finally decided to give this place a try. Very high prices and small portions, undercooked spaghetti(nothing to do with al dente). Paid 24 quid for half a plate of risotto, no value of money at all.

I hadn’t eaten here before. Tiny kitchen but super food. My friend had the pasta with truffles. They didn’t have any gluten free pasta so I had the monkfish and new potatoes (with truffle) which was excellent. As were the wine and the coffee.

Quality ingredients well put together. Delicious authentic Italian fine fare with wonderful, accommodating service from lovely Italian people. We felt like we were eating with family and had one of our nicest family evening meals in London. Super wine too!

Three adults and two children had a delightful lunch. The restaurant, between 12.00 and 1.30, was not busy and all the food was cooked fresh. The menu does not have a huge selection but none of us had any difficulty finding something to choose and we were all very satisfied. The wine list was extensive with ample choice of wine by the glass. The waitress was excellent. Helpful, friendly and efficient. There is an open kitchen and it would have been nice for the chef and the other staff member to at least acknowledge us. They weren’t exactly overwhelmed and a smile doesn’t take a huge effort.

A hidden gem behind the Tate Modern. The food was delicious, you could tell and see pasta etc were all fresh and homemade. We had the set menu which very tasty and also very good value for money.

This place was recommended by a friend and it was delicious. It has a wonderful menu, food was perfect. It balanced being a trendy upscale resturant while also being very approachable. We will definitely be back. Our server Maya was excellent. HUGE wine list.

The guys here are fantastic. The menus are authentic and great care is taken with selection of the ingredients and the preparation and cooking. And then there are the wines which are reason enough to go there alone.

Capricci was absolutely a delightful stop during our time in London. I can’t believe we simply stumbled upon such an authentic Italian experience. We left with full bellies and full smiles, plus recommendations for our next visit to Sicily, Italy later this year. Highly recommend!!!!

A convenient place for dinner around Tate Modern or before the theatre. Friendly and professional service, nice food; but surprisingly expensive for what it is — beware the "discretionary 12.5% service charge" that gets added to the bill without mention.

Took 2 elderly friends here for early supper. We all enjoyed the nice but overpriced meal, (my husband said he thought his glass of wine tasted strange), settled the bill and then told by manager/proprietor ? That we were not welcome to revisit! My husband...

Menu covers all bases, cheese, pasta and delicious meat and seafood dishes that are truly authentically Italian. Excellent wine list too. Prices match the experience.

A succinct menu but everything looks attractive and not something easily found in chain restaurants— full of seasonal surprises. The fregola was recommended by the Sardinian person taking my order, with Bottarga (cured roe) fished from near his hometown. Although it looks like some people dislike the smell, personally I didn’t find it fishy at all. The tomato broth was perfect, flavorful and not overpowering. There were quite plenty of clams. Also loved the texture of fregola. The basaltic vinaigrette was slightly sweet and went well with the rocket and shaved Parmesan. Really appreciate the all day menu :D (was enticed by the focaccia deal but I was planning for proper dinner, despite it being abnormally earlier). Wish I’d been here sooner but it’s always bustling at peak hours. Looking forward to coming back again and trying new things, even for takeaway.

Excellent food. We both had the lasagna. It's a very small place so reservations are expected. We haven't been in London long enough to determine the price level. It seemed pricey but I'm not sure.

Si vous cherchez une bonne pizza, passez votre chemin, La pizza 4 fromage était finalement une pâte recouverte de sauce tomate avec un peu de « parmesan » semé par endroit. Idem avec là fruit de mer (sauf que ces derniers n’étaient pas bons du tout !) Sinon personnel aimable, sympa pour ne boire qu’un verre.

Our hosts were brilliant- the wines offered are varied and interesting. The host clearly has in depth knowledge and the tortellini and tiramisu I had were very good indeed.

Interesing menu with a range of unusual dishes not commonly seen in run of the mill Italian restaurants. Everything we had was veyr tasty. Amazing selection of wines, all available to take away too.

Really lovely little gem of a place! The food options were great, the pasta was fresh, the cheese options were fantastic, the service was very pleasant, the atmosphere was lovely and cosy. The seats are not very comfortable if you stay there for longer.

Sadly the food was totally tasteless - £20 for a pasta dish that tasted of nothing and was tiny is absolutely unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend.

Amazing and authentic italian experience

We had a very nice experience at Capricci and it was very nice with authentic Italian food. The servers were really nice and attentive, and they made good recommendations. We started with a cheese and ham platter (Salume e formaggio misto) which was absolutely great...

Very cute little restaurant, ideal when visiting Tate Modern as it’s 3 minutes away from the entrance. I had the scallops, which were good, not outstanding, and enjoyed a good approx spritz. The type of place that is more about the atmosphere
