Zizzi in Southwark

Came in on a visit to London, and was served by a lovely Ariane, she was so pleasant, down-to-earth, helpful with suggestions and attentive to my partner's allergy. Absolutely made our trip :))

🤣🤣🤣🤣 The name of the bar is very unusual. We came here for a beer and a bite to eat during our road trip, and it was the only bar that was even remotely welcoming with "home-style" service. We'll definitely be back! I recommend it!

Ariane was amazing, it was our 3rd time here. Whenever she served us,we felt great. Food is fantastic and the service is excellent! Thank you so much!

Been here three times and kept forgetting to leave a review. The food is outstanding—each dish is beautifully presented.The ingredients are fresh, and the attention to detail in both taste and presentation is evident. The service is impeccable, with dishes arriving promptly and our glasses never empty. The manager Laura is very attentive and I will definitely come back soon.

I had an amazing experience at Zizzi’s Bankside, and a big part of that was thanks to Laura Straccio, the Assistant Manager. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome with her warm and friendly approach. She was incredibly attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Laura went above and beyond to accommodate our requests with a smile, ensuring we had a fantastic dining experience. Her professionalism, efficiency, and genuine kindness truly stood out. Food was superb . The view from restaurant across the Thames was fab . It was nice to be offered the choice of tables . The service from Ariane was exceptional and made our 21st birthday meal even more special. Especially with the cake , lighting the candles and a couple of freebies added in too . Thanks so much

Zizzi never disappoints! The pasta was rich and flavorful, the pizza was perfectly crispy, and everything tasted amazing. But what really made our night was Juhana! She was so polite, cheerful, and made sure we had a great time. Service with a smile makes all the difference. Can’t wait to return!

Absolutely brilliant service at Zizzi Bankside, which really made for a perfect evening meal for us! The two hosts were both excellent, very helpful and engaging. If Zizzi could clone Ariane so that there was one of her in every restaurant, they’d be onto a winner!

A very nice Italian fresh air on the banks of the Thames. Loved the open kitchen and the design inside, the up view, the window straight to Thames. I had a new dish, pasta cu mushrooms and truffles and 100% on my taste, love it. The staff is very nice and always at your service.

Hamza was a brilliant waiter, really considerate and helpful.

We passed this restaurant and it was buzzing, so we returned the following night to try it out. It was fine - not terrible, not great. Food was ok, but my wife and I both felt the flavour was lacking - my arrabbiata had no heat or spice. The kids gave the pizza a 6/7 out of 10.

Wonderful food, super nice atmosphere, but the service leaves something to be desired! Very slow service and without much information! We were offered the dessert that was included in the kids menu and waited a long time for someone to come and say that the dessert we had chosen was no longer available!

Waiting to tell us that there is no dish. Bad organization. Too bad the rest is on top

Lovely attentive staff and delicious food with a great view.

Great venue with good views over the Thames. Always our go to when passing. Food was good and timely. Lost a star on service due to being asked if we wanted parmesan on the pasta and not returning after a yes answer but could of been a mishearing or oversight. Quite busy after 13:00 but still seats and good service. Will be returning definitely

Food and service was impeccable! We especially loved the garlic bomb dough ball starter, it was phenomenal with the sweet honey glaze!! Staff were so friendly and welcoming too! We’ll definitely be back again!

Hamza is excellent at his job he was cleared and knew the menu and helped with all our queries. Very polite and served us with a smile.

Lovely view over Southwark Bridge. The food was a mixed bag - the batter on the calamari was a little doughy, the prawns on a skewer accompanying pasta in a spicy sauce looked spectacular and tasted fine, the Black Forest cherry chocolate desert only had 2 or 3 little cherries but the chocolate tasted good. Prices were average (about £15 to £20 for mains) but we enjoyed a 50% discount on mains promotion. Service was a little hit and miss - there was no salt and pepper on the table so I had to ask for some and the waiters were not always available so there was quite a long wait. I also asked for extra parmesan with my pasta which was promptly provided.

Served by Srishti, who was just fabulous. Very attentive and thoughtful and great at her job. I watched her interacting with other customers and their children, and was warm and welcoming throughout. The view was gorgeous (sat in a booth next to the river) and the food was delicious. We had calamari, pizzas and cheesecake - deelish!! Would definitely go back. Thank you for a great birthday dinner for my daughter x

I visited last Sunday evening, and since it wasn’t busy, there’s really no excuse for what happened. I ordered a vegetarian dish, but as I was eating, I found a VERY large prawn mixed into the pasta. The staff didn’t even apologise—just took the dish away and went to speak to the chef, who also didn’t offer an apology. It took about 5 to 10 minutes before the waitress finally came over to apologise and say the meal would be on the house. Of course, I wasn’t going to pay, but honestly, did they think I’d pay for a dish that wasn’t even vegetarian and made me feel sick? It’s clear they don’t use separate saucepans for vegetarian dishes, and the manager should have come over to apologise personally. I felt sick and really upset all evening.

Party of 16 for late lunch. Great food and catered for all our various veggie/GF/carb free requirements. Pre- ordered from the set menu. Plenty of choice. Food all fresh and hot and brought out all at the same time. Friendly service and lovely views of the river.

I was skeptical of this chain restaurant, but was really pleasantly surprised. The food was pretty nice! The decor and view were fantastic. Most of all Arianne who served us was brilliant. She was great with our toddler, was accomodating and really friendly. If visiting the Tate we'll definitely be stopping by again.

This is a lovely restaurant with a view across the Thames. It was very vibrant there when we ate dinner. The menu has many options including vegetarian and gluten free options. The service was excellent. The food was lovely and hot and we could talk freely without being drowned out with music. It was also warm and comfortable.

Today I had a wonderful dining experience in Zizzi Bankside ! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming . We were served by Laura, Paul and Hamza, which they was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and made our visit extra special. I will highly recommend this place for great food , nice view and top-notch service! I will definitely be back!

Really disappointing experience overall. Our server didn't even seat us, just gave us menus and pointed to a table and barely said a word the whole duration of our visit. Never came back to check in on us once and he seemed very disinterested. Food wise, my partners pizza arrived and was more akin to a dried cracker, very tough and very brittle. Having visited previously and had similar issues we hoped these might have been resolved but they were not. Lovely decor and location but that is all the redeeming qualities.

The food was delicious. However, our server seemed to just ignore us after we were served our main course. Another server was very thoughtful and tried to help get our server to pay attention but they didn't. One of the hostesses ended up getting our dessert and our final bill. We had dinner here on 14th December and really enjoyed it. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to ensure a good time, especially Ariane who looked after us so well. Will definately go back there again next time we go to the South Bank .

Ended our day with Zizzi by the river. Staff are very rude and clearly not trained in hospitality. Dishes were served with drastic time differences as well as not being as ordered or described in the menu.
