All the food was excellent! Would recommend the prawns, the lamb and the guiseppe pizza. All fresh. Antonio the chef showed me his award which he won 2 years in a row, to beat Ramsey. Great date night spot, underground vault. Good value. Will be heading back for steak and pasta in next few weeks. And had about 5 shots of lemon chelo with Guiseppe the boss. Walked in without a reservation and they were so accommodating considering how busy the place was. They let us wait at the bar whilst they sorted a table for us and gave us a glass of Prosecco whilst we waited, for free I may add. All the staff were fun, and the owner was amazingly funny. Now for the food, utterly outstanding. Chicken Milanese was beautifully cooked and the spaghetti bolognese that accompanied it was exactly what you expect from a family run Italian restaurant. Finished off with a cold shot of Limoncello. If you’re in London, near London Bridge, go visit this place. You won’t be disappointed. The next day we wanted a light lunch, so went to the take away place they have upstairs on the Main Street. Panini was amazing and the value for money for central London was phenomenal. Again, go visit, you won’t be disappointed. We will definitely make a point of returning here the next time we are in London.

Recommended place if you want to eat Italian in London. I've been there on two occasions, the first excellent, on the second there was a small problem (they prepared the wrong pizza for me) but they were promptly available to offer me a discount and their heartfelt apologies. It can happen. I will definitely return for the quality, professionalism and live music! Well done

According to Google reviews, there are 7 people for lunch around 2 p.m. Already the room is in the basement: claustrophobic refrain. No network or wifi available. Do not order the Caesar salad which is not one: frisée salad, sliced ​​avocado and 5 pieces of chicken breast and without CEASAR sauce! Return to the kitchen discovering the salad all wilted. The pizzas are delicious: point +++ When it's time to pay, the waitress slaps us with a handwritten bill without details. And when we ask her for details she tells us she doesn't have time and to do it ourselves: lunar situation. To conclude : 7 pizzas €151 3 coffees: €16 1 coke: €4.58 Without forgetting the service which IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICES: €17.35 Total of this scam: €188.93 FOR 7 PIZZAS + 1 COCA + 3 COFFEES. In short, you understand, you can find much better elsewhere: move on.

I order pizza all pollo and I can say that the chicken on the pizza taste horrible and tomato sauce taste horrible as was take out of the can and put straight away to the pizza ….I ordered it a coke was half ice and half and I told to the waiter no ice and he did….fir sure I don’t comeback there…don’t recommend it

I can't understand all the positive recessions. The staff is anything but hard-working, more like express handling. The Cola consists of 80% ice. Pizza absolutely average and the spagetti bolognese is really bad. All in all high prices and poor quality as well as poor service. I advise against this restaurant.

Había leído en línea que el restaurante ofrece pasta sin gluten, así que cuando entramos a cenar estaba muy emocionada. Sin embargo, cuando llegamos pregunté por las opciones de GF y el camarero dijo ‘si tienes un problema de gluten no comes nada’, lo que fue muy molesto, por no mencionar grosero! He estado aquí para cenar con amigas y fue increíble. Desafortunadamente anoche vine con una cita, y le dieron un puñetazo en la cara de la nada sin ninguna razón. Aparentemente alguien vio al tipo irse inmediatamente y mi cita fue echada sin explicación y los porteros no revisarían cctv. Me pareció impactante y poco amable -para qué sirven los porteros- hacer cumplir algún tipo de ley y comportamiento para no dejar que la gente cometa delitos sin consecuencias. He compartido esto con amigos y aparentemente ellos saben de dos situaciones similares que han sucedido aquí. No es aceptable y no debe tolerarse. También escuché de teléfonos robados y tarjetas de bolsas. Me sentiría extremadamente inseguro ir allí de nuevo e instar a otros a tomar precauciones estrictas. Fantastically good food and very pleasant service. The boss himself came to the table and treated us to a good drink after the meal. So will definitely come back here, the next time I go to London. Very disappointed to be writing this review as I have been coming here religiously once a quarter for the last 6-7 years with colleagues as a mini tradition. Unfortunately I went earlier this week and the food has taken an awful turn. The lasagne was hugely undercooked, I was served red wine with two dead flies in it and when I asked for a new glass the waitress sighed and rolled her eyes. The cutlery on the table was very dirty and the service was awful! (a lady with a serious attitude problem and ill fitting uniform). Over the years we have honestly really loved this place and the food used to be SO good. In the past we’ve always had wonderful and charming service and always left a tip. Something has clearly changed this year and it’s not working well. Sadly we will be finding a new spot.

The food was average, a bit like it was frozen and then served. The ambience hasn't been edited for a long time, and they don't really invest in it. I was a bit put off by the fact that it is a night club overnight. What disappointed me the most was that the waiters sat down at the table and ate. We were just about to pay, so it was embarrassing for us to lift the waiter from the table while he was eating, so we waited until he finished so we could pay. A bit disappointing considering that it has 4.2 * on reviews...

What a find! 3 minute walk from the Shard hidden down a alley and down stairs I super cute old fashioned little Italian. Home run, lovely atmosphere, very homely feel. Attentive staff, tasty pizzas and tiramisu. Will definitely go back.

Delicious food great staff and reasonable prices. What lets it down is its toilets. They are old, dated and smell of damp.most people judge cleanliness in restaurant based on toilets as that’s what kitchen would be like. But these toilets need barely 10/20k and they could be modernised and actually WANT to go to the toilet rather than hold it in !! Please update and upgrade your toilets asap

We stopped by here for dinner this week as we live nearby. It's a basement restaurant that's been around for a long time. It was very nice and the service was excellent. Food was very good and authentic and they took cash without question. We will return and would recommend.

Average but overpriced standard Italian fare. .. but we are right next to london bridge. The rent must be huge.. The atmosphere and vibe is really good. It feels like we have stepped into an Italian taverna. Food did not blow me away. The people and ambience were awesome however.

Wow,what a fantastic find. It’s like going back in time when Italian restaurants were cosy with great food,great service and traditional. We went on 12thOctober 2024…. They had a singer not so loud that you couldn’t converse but enough to enjoy the ambiance. Service was friendly and fast. The food was fantastic. The owner comes around introducing himself and pouring complimentary Limoncello’s. Later on in the evening you could have a go at singing yourself (easy after a few complimentary Limoncello,s)which was great fun. In Whole we had a lovely night and will definitely be visiting this gem of a restaurant again. Thank you all for a wonderful night.

This place was brilliant. We stumbled upon this place by sheer chance after a couple of post work drinks with colleagues, unsure we'd get a table. Giuseppe and Co welcomed us in, found us a table and we sat down to look at our menus. The food was great, I had the clam pasta dish, decent sized serving and tasted great. Two other mates had the carbonate which I tried which was also good. We had a couple of decent bottles of red, while chatting away, and singing along with the guitarist singing some classics, U2, eagles etc... A couple of us chatted away woth Guisseppe, lovely bloke. Also gave us a shot of limoncello as we were leaving which I thought was a nice touch. Service was good, atmosphere was good, food was good. Will go back again now I know its there!

Had the breakfast special which is a breakfast bap & a coffee / tea for £5 which is such great value. The breakfast bap consists of bacon, sausage, egg & sauce of choice. They don't skimp out on the toppings. The bap was hefty and giant. The coffee is barista made and tasted great. Not sure if they do dairy free alternatives. I'd definitely recommend this place for the offer, for the part for London it's in, is great value.

I might be "missing something" - next time I come around,[The Guy that didn't want ketchup on the pizza] can I have a less "Krispy Bottom" it was delicious otherwise.....I will eat my way through your food when I'm around next time

Giuseppe's !!! If I could give 6 stars I would. The owner of the place is the brilliant. The atmosphere in here is electric you get that Italian feel, the waiters/bar staff are brilliant, welcoming and friendly And the food is spectacular it’s the best Italian in the whole of London it’s absolutely fantastic I had to go three times.

The food was really lovely and portions were good too! The owner gave us an extra shot of limoncello, lovely Italian hospitality.

While in London with my dad and his friend, we stumbled upon Giuseppe’s Ristorante Italiano & Pizzeria, and it was a fantastic find. Despite not having a booking, the staff warmly welcomed us and quickly found us a table. The atmosphere was electric, with live music and an entertaining owner who even treated us to a song. The food was delicious - we enjoyed lasagne, salmon pasta, and pizza - all complemented by plenty of complimentary limoncello. Although pricier than most Italian spots, the vibrant atmosphere and excellent service made it well worth the cost. A memorable experience deserving of five stars.

A traditional neighborhood Italian restaurant. From Thursday to Saturday they have live music. On Friday (and maybe other nights) this is provided by a singer,who sings songs from Frank Sinatra and others if his ilk, as well as modern songs. Sometimes it turns into quite a party, with customers joining in and Giuseppe topping up limoncello glasses. Later on, the restaurant turns into a disco/bar that is open until 4 am. Go there for a good meal, but there is the option of a party later on.

A quaint Italian restaurant with a small menu. My partner had chicken breast in cream sauce with mushrooms, I had a mixed salad and spaghetti Napoli. The portions were plentiful and good. The service seemed slightly overwhelmed and friendlier to the locals.

Old bar-like Italian restaurant. Food is ok but very expensive considering its old and not very clean environment. Fairly noisy. The toilet is shabby and somehow smelly. At that price (£150) for 3 adults and 2 children, I would not recommend this as there are many better choices around.

Me and my friend had a booking at 5.45pm on 03/07/24. (Under the name Katie: you sat us next to your till) Upon arrival we had the misfortune of being met by a sour faced, rude, large, dark haired woman ( she was our server) she acted as if our presence was a inconvenience to her! She spoke about us to the barmaid and the barmaid told her to be quiet and go in the back room. We ordered one alcholic drink each and both were watered down. My jack Daniels tasted like tap water and my friends lemoncello spritz had barely no alcohol in it. We ordered lasagne it was ok but not worth £16.95 and the cabonara which was vile and a portion of fries. I was charged nearly £8 for the fries ( i was scammed) all items you sell must be on the menu with a price and the fries wasn't. I alsomanaged to record the servers talking about us and i have put it on instagram and facebook. The customer service and the way the restaurant is run is a absolute disgrace. Please go elsewhere there are plenty of nice Italian restaurants in the area. Your staff need to be fired and you need to retire. Instead of talking about your customers appearance i suggest you worry about yourself first. You're a middle aged obese woman who wears too much make up and your clothes do not fit you... buy a bigger shirt. It's not nice is it? Shame on all of you.

Was really lovely chatting to Giuseppe, he was so friendly and insisted me and my friend have a slice of pizza and a drink on the house. We’d already paid for our drinks but agreed we’d get another one after. So I went back to the bar to get 2 more beers, Giuseppe got us the drinks but a lady at the bar charged me. I thought it was a bit odd but I paid anyway. The next time I went to the bar I decided to chat to Giuseppe to get the free drinks he offered, again a female colleague got involved and passed me 2 peronis. She then walked away so I thought these must be our drinks on the house. I walked back to my table with the beers and a man and woman from the bar stormed over to me with a card machine and demanded I pay. I politely said “oh okay Giuseppe said we could have one on the house but okay” and I reached for my purse. The guy picked up the peronis to take them away and the woman said “yeah but you only get one round for free, don’t take the piss.” I thought that was really rude and aggressive considering how polite and willing to pay I was. I explained there must have been some confusion because I had paid for all our drinks so far and then they suddenly changed their minds and said “well you only get the pizza slice for free”. I ended up paying for the drinks again. The weird thing is I was more than willing to pay for all my drinks, I was just offered one on the house and then made to feel like a criminal when I accepted it. Such a shame, I don’t feel comfortable to go back.

I sadly did not enjoy anything about this restaurant. I don’t know if it was because of our age, but there were four of us and we found it far too loud - and when the singer started, it made conversation for us impossible. However, everyone else seemed to be enjoying themselves 🤔 I was the only one in our group who eats a plant-based diet, was told I could have a pizza without cheese, which I declined. I decided to have some vegetables and potatoes. I was very disappointed with what turned up tbh. No effort was made to make my dish look appetising. We couldn’t wait to get out of there, and to add insult to injury, the bill was ridiculously high, an absolute rip-off. We couldn’t work out why we had been charged so much, but we needed to leave so just paid up. The others in my group said the food was just average. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

It’s a hidden gem. It’s located in an alley and its all worth it. The staff is absolutly amazing, they are the best and wanna have some fun together. They gave us an amazing evening and we are defenitely coming back here!

When you find a restaurant this good, the formula seems so straightforward it is difficult to understand why all establishments don't follow suit. I've never run a restaurant but if I did I'd want to be like Giuseppe's. I have been twice recently, on both occasions served warmly and expertly by Juani, ably assisted by staff that are all welcoming and genuinely pleased you're with them. (Formula = a. great service) A most unassuming entrance belies the excellence beneath, literally as you descend stairs to be greeted with ephemeral wafts of garlic and an atmosphere of unabated good cheer. We celebrated a family birthday and took two tables to accommodate all 14 of us. Live music was provided by a single guitarist and vocalist (different on both my visits) who captured the zeitgeist with understated brilliance. (Formula = b. great atmosphere). There is just a life-affirming hubbub permeating the premises which evolved as the evening progressed into a full singalong; maybe therefore one of which to be aware if you're planning on a romantic, quiet dinner. The menu is a fairly extensive and a traditional index of Italian fare, priced very reasonably. Likewise, the wine choice is broad enough and without the usual speculative and unjustified surcharge so familiar in other restaurants (Formula = c. don't rip off your customers). The food just reinforces all the values that have been hitherto present. Warm, wholesome, fresh, flavourful and absolutely delicious. No frills or nods to the minute portion faction, just a delectable plate of scrumptiousness (Formula = d. great food). For the two visits I have made the eponymous Giuseppe appeared and just when you think you can't be any better looked after, he greeted, chatted to, and circulated amongst his customers proffering humour and limoncello in equal measure. This is when the penny drops; here is a guy who seems to revel in the hospitality he offers. He clearly works hard, leads his staff by example and mixes with his customers as if long lost friends (Formula - e. great leadership). Everyone in our party had an absolute blast. So, if you're seeking a night where you can be well met, well fed and enjoy a carnival atmosphere, you'll find it all at Giuseppe's.

The best Italian restaurant in London.

The food was good, not excellent but OK. The restaurant is very, very noisy. In addition, almost immediately we had started eating, a singer started up, making it impossible to hold a conversation. As a consequence, diners were screaming at each other across their tables making the overall noise level, just below unbearable. Then the bill arrived. Advertised at £20/30 per head, the bill for the four of us, was over £300. We had two beers and two glasses of wine. Never again!

Cool place! Felt very much like an “authentic” Italian restaurant via a hidden door somewhere in lower Manhattan. Amazing atmosphere…bustling but not chaotic. The staff were great and attentive. The food was excellent. Can’t complain about anything! I feel like they’re gonna see a lot of me.

How a place like this exists boggles the mind. If you are looking for a 1980’s Anglo Italian experience then this is perfect however my suggestion is either go to one of the other amazing restaurants around borough market of simply buy the ingredients and cook at home. Nothing on the menus is beyond even the most basic of cooking skills. I resented paying the bill.

Super overpriced for the quality of the food. The spaghetti carbonara are not a real carbonara you would expect from a real italian place. The live music was awful and they charged us more money for paying by credit card. We will definitely not come back.

The service here was amazing! And the food at this restaurant was very authentic and delicious. The food reminded me of when I was in Naples and Rome a couple years ago. This restaurant is also located in an alley which is really cool kinda of seems like a hidden gem. The food was pretty expensive but expected because it is London after all. I will definitely be back again when I am in the area! They also give a free shot of limoncello after you are finished eating which is really nice! Highly recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Italian food! I ordered the Bruschetta and Bolognese Pasta both were amazing!

We ordered a pizza and shared plus one drink each. The pizza was amazing, we really enjoyed it and we would definitely come back again for this restaurant!! The staffs were all so friendly and smiley. There were three gentlemen, Massimo was the one who served us, but all of their hospitality was incredibly nice! You cen feel they were very genuine, we got two shots of limoncello as a treat from the store, we were so grateful 😊 There are a lot of good food that I want to try, will be coming back again soon!!! Would have expected more from a family run restaurant. Good Italian food is not hard to produce. This was lazy and unloved. Service without a smile. It was a Wednesday so lack of atmosphere almost forgivable. Just couldn’t escape the feeling that they wanted everyone to go home asap so they could pack up for the night.

Food was typical Italian but well presented and tasted very good especially considering the cost for two of us having starters and mains was about £80. Restaurant is a bit cramped and the service was a little slow.

First time here ever in 24 years in London and I was extremely pleased. Amazing food, nice and friendly staff, great atmosphere, not too pricey and big portions. I recommend it.

We went here for lunch without a reservation. Nice and clean place. The spaghetti bolognese dish was plentiful and good. The only flaw was perhaps the staff being a little absent, but perhaps it was due to the time given that it was 2pm. In any case, you have to wait a bit before you can order.

Go anywhere else! I used to go all the time but went recently to have lunch came away so disappointed and frustrated to the point where I will never go again! The food isn’t bad but I was left with a bad taste in my mouth because one of the servers was rude, aggressive, and disrespectful. It was so unwarranted because all I did was ask about using the tastecard and the response I got was so aggressive and disproportionate - I was so uncomfortable. It’s not worth it, London Bridge has many other restaurants, don’t go here!!!

I love Giuseppes, I always try fit in a meal here when I have friends visiting or any excuse to get dinner there when I’m in the area. The pasta dishes, particularly the vodka salmon are just *chefs kiss* The food really is 10/10 usually when I go with friends we all order different dishes and share them all. Love atmosphere too, it is such a cute, authentic Italian, family run restaurant. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of it !

Now, this is exactly how an Italian restaurant should be. I've recently been let down by a couple of Italian establishments. However, this has put my faith in them again. Great food, great service and a proper Italian goodbye from Giuseppe. I will bring my wife next time.
