Franco Manca in Southwark

The food was very good: sourdough pizza’s which tasted fantastic. Also the size of the pizza is just right. The drinks however disappointed majorly. The cocktails are apparently all premixed. The margerita had “MOTH” in the name, but when asked what that was we got a weird story about a combo deal with a pizza (?) I’m a big margerita fan, so I ordered one, specifying I would like a salt rim on the glass. The margerita was from a can, brand MOTH (aha - could have told me when asked, couldn’t you?) and the salt rim was forgotten. Furthermore it was served in a lemonade glass instead of a cocktail glass. And last but not least the taste was horrible. The Negroni for my friend was from a premixed bottle of Campari Negroni, also served in a lemonade glass. Tasted not horrible, but not good either. This particular waiter who didn’t inform me on the margerita was not very good, the rest that we saw were definitely doing a better job. Conclusion: go for the delicious pizza, but skip the cocktails.

Wonderful Pizza, cosy environment and incredibly friendly people! Oh and the ice cream 🍦🍨 for dessert was good as well. Loved it, and the location it is in is great as well. Really enjoyed the pizza on the way back to the hotel after a long day of sightseeing.

Very good service, very friendly with tourists, not too expensive for the English capital! We will come back on our next trip!

I had dinner there with a friend and the desert had been halfed in size to its normal size compared to the desert in Putney and yet we got charged the full price for it when it should have been half as it had shrunk. I have nor been back since sadly

The food was awesome, and the customer service was impeccable. My favourite was the Tiramisu. Gabriel was fantastic, knowledgeable, and friendly. He's Sicilian and gave me great food and travel tips! Thank you for your kind service! We would highly recommend it.

Always a great pizza Friday night is super busy and service is never so fast if you want a better service better to go in off peak time. Pizzas are always top!

Fantastic experience in this rather quirky building. Great pizza, good wine and one of the best tiramisu’s I’ve ever eaten! The service was great (amidst a national customer service crisis!) and Eva was ever so kind and efficient with us!

Food was very good. I would also give the ambience and service 5 stars, but there was a very loud group of men in the restaurant. You could see in the faces of the guests that everyone was bothered by it, including us. As a result, the ambience was not nice. The service staff would have liked to have spoken to the 5 of them. Apart from that the service was very good. Otherwise the restaurant is highly recommended

Pizza costs between 11 and 15 pounds (the most expensive). The Nutella one 6 pounds. Fine dough, excellent, delicious wine! Highly recommended

Good pricing for the 2 pizzas I had delivered via Uber eats however I found they were a little cold on delivery (was not far away the delivery location) but was tasty & enjoyable still!!🍽️

Average pizza and below average service. We were seated immediately, but took over 15 minutes for anyone to come back and take drink orders. We were seated right at the front near other customers with plenty of servers walking by, but had to flag someone down to get any attention. Pizza was just okay, definitely below our expectations though.

I came with my partner and her family to Franco manca and the food and the atmosphere were good as usual, but this time we met Gabriele and his service made the difference! He was exceptional and very professional during all dinner. He guided us through the menú and he always showed us a big smile when we were asking him something regarding the food and drinks or something we needed. I will definitely come back very soon ✅😉!

The food, as always, was delicious, but it was Gabriele’s service that made the evening unforgettable. I cannot recommend him and this branch of Franco Manca highly enough—an all-round outstanding dining experience! Looking forward to returning as soon as possible.

Very much a pizza place, but what it does, it does well at a good price. The only other options are salads, tapas-esque starters and deserts.

Amazing pizza, cozy atmosphere, and fantastic service! Franco Manca in Bermondsey is my go-to spot for authentic sourdough pizza. The crust is perfectly chewy, the toppings are fresh, and everything is full of flavor. I love how reasonably priced it is for the quality you get. The staff are super friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better.

Really great thin crust sourdough pizza, for a great price. The atmosphere was really nice and it was cool seeing the huge wood fired oven used to bake the pizzas, very tasty would recommend.

TLDR: The food is decent, however the customer service WAS below acceptable with the waitress working being rude and impolite throughout the whole experience which created a hostile environment making it highly uncomfortable for us, we decided to leave. And with the franco manca app being poorly made with issues when trying to sign up. I hope i get back a reply and we could resolve this matter about this specific waitress. Tq The food was as expected, however upon entering the premises, we were not greeted and therefore left standing waiting for the host, even though it was not busy. The host then acknowledged us after a few minutes and had given us a hand gesture. While thinking we were allowed to take a seat, we chose the seat nearest to us which was prepped with a menu. However, once the hostess saw us, we were reprimanded that we were not allowed to seat and that her hand gesture she made was meant to stand and wait, we suggested to get up but was then brushed off by the hostess. After ordering, both waitress and the hostess treated us with a disrespectful glare whenever they had walked pass our table. Moreover, because we had coffee and treats from the cafe before, we were then asked to not eat inside the restaurant which was understandable, however, the delivery by the waitress so rude and impolite. As the whole encounter was unpleasant and uncomfortable, we had decided to leave and get our pizzas to go. Because we had visited this restaurant after hearing about the £5 pizza deal, when asked for payment, we had then asked the waiter about the deal, she had quickly dismiss us and and asked for the qr code, we were then left baffled because we were not offered any help, and so we spent 10 minutes or so, trying to get the deal. Because the app was not well made, we were having issues with the app, which was not helpful as we were not given any help but instead the waitress was rude and condescending, therefore we decided to pay full price and leave asap.

What a Joke. Today we went to Franco Manca in Bermondsey to check out the £5 pizza promotion. The restaurant was super busy, but despite the full house, the service was great, and the pizzas were spot on. It was me and my friend, and while we were eating, something caught our attention. There was this incredibly rude table complaining about something ridiculous, like how to get the discount or something along those lines. Erika, the manager, was dealing with it, and honestly, that table was treating her so badly. We were really impressed by how calm and professional she stayed the way she handled the situation was perfect. We both work in hospitality, and it was honestly sad to see how some guests can be so horrible to staff who are just trying to do their job. literally not only our table has noticed that!!!!!! This review isn’t just to say how much we love Franco Manca (because we do), but also to give a huge shoutout to Erika. She was amazing today, even under pressure. More employees like Erika, and honestly, fewer guests like those ones, would make the world of hospitality so much better. it is gret to have a £5 pound pizza but it is also great to be served from a very good person like Erika.

I went Franco Manca in Bermondsey today, there was some sort of £5 pizza promotion. The restaurant was really busy, and the atmosphere was a bit mad. Had a difficult time settling in, where the table beside was extremely disrespectful to our waitress Erika. She provided lovely service but I think the whole situation made it a little awkward. I’ve worked in the hospitality so I know how difficult it can be dealing with customers like that. Good on her!! I’d probably be out the job if she let me deal with it. Each to their own!

One of the best pizzas out there in London. Definitely recommend especially a special shout out to our waitress Era who was very attentive and was such a bubbly character .

The service was slow and moody, but the worst part of the experience was when the server couldn't even work out how to split this simple bill. We spent over half and hour, with the server who kept coming back and forth on the amount due. One of our group had to take over in the end. Servers need to be trained on how to split the bill between groups because this experience was stressful and doesn't make me want to go back.
