The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

It looks all upmarket, staff friendly but was there for 3 hours and pudding wasn't worth the wait. Just wanted to get back home.

I don't go here as much as I used to so it's always makes me smile when I do. Great place, food always is good, I like the vibe! It's a traditional family run business and they are always do welcoming. Not sure what drink you want? Don't worry they will make anything you fancy or experiment and make some with the ingredients you do want. Can't wait for my next visit 🤗

The best pizzeria in the area, dare I say the best pizza in the country. Fantastic service with a harmonious atmosphere filled with the pure joy created by the amazing pizza and service.

Thank you for your reply. I do now exactly what bruchetta bread is as I eat it often and it definitely is not a sliced piece of French baguette!!! This is the attitude that we experienced while we were there. And the staff were watching a video as I heard it!!! We went as a table of 4, the attitude we recieved was not very welcoming, when my daughter wanted some mayo to go with her meal she was told 'your not ruining your meal in my restaurant, we only serve authentic Italian food!', not angood attitude when people suffer from anxiety!. When we were also ordering they had no rice one of our choices so we had to change what we wanted. Our starter came and was suppose to be on bruchetta bread but was served on French bread. Not very authentic! We felt that we were being rushed to have our meal (our table was booked for 5pm and we were told when we arrived we had to vacate our table by 7pm which was no problem but we were being ushered out by 6pm). Staff standing at the till area watching videos on there phones. If we could have gone somewhere else for a meal we would have but nowhere else had any tables available. Would not be in a rush to return.

Enoteca di Luca, Guildhall, is one of my favourite places in the city. It has a great variety of wines that can be paired with amazing Italian dishes. The staff there is very friendly and polite. The manager, Alessandro, in particular is a great addition to the venue. He is super friendly, very professional and always provides great advice on wine choices. He goes above and beyond for his customers to have a great experience. I highly recommend this place.

Approved by an Italian: Authentic carbonara (absolutely incredible made with the correct, high quality ingredients just as they do in Rome), delicious red wine, flavourful mixed antipasto with a perfectly baked focaccia. A special shout out to the very friendly staff Giuliano, Antonio, chef Fabio and the rest of the team. We will be back!

Great atmosphere and surroundings but the food is bang average and a little bland. Far too ££ for the standard of food.

Perfect for our annual birthday meal for my mum and sister in law. First time we have been and really enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was lovely. There weren’t many others there, though this was probably because it was a Thursday, so was quiet. Very accommodating, had a high chair for our toddler and enough space at the end of the table for the pram for our baby too. Also happily made changes to the children’s menu to accommodate our fussy eater. Food was lovely. Will definitely return! Easy and free parking (for 2hrs and after 6pm) in dunstall street car park located just behind Oswald road.

Terrible restaurant, absolutely not to go there

Booked 2 weeks in advanced, travelled from cornwall to eat here just to turn up and find it closed with no notification of this fact. Not happy!
