The Supper Club in Wakefield

After 5 weeks away from being able to visit the bar, following my major surgery, it was so nice to visit again on Monday 26th February, enjoying a few beers and two large pizzas with my partner. A great atmosphere. It was nice to be back. Neil.

Nice spot for a drink, decent selection of keg beers and ciders. The staff were welcoming and service was very good 👍

Had the best vegan pizza ever! Even gluten free on the menu.

Nice enough place located in the centre of town at the top of Westgate. Came for a quick drink. The Margarita was a bit disappointing (they used large chunks of salt on the glass which wasn't great). Prices were reasonable. Service ok. Good choice of drinks. Didn't experience the food or live music but I do know it can get very busy at peak times.

As a group of older 30s, who have visited the pub many times, staff have been rude, and priority serving has been geared toward younger customers. Poor customer service.

Stunning venue from day right until close at night. We always opt for nachos and pizza as gluten free and they are incredible! Highly recommend

Bar closes at 1:30 but they turn the coffee machine off before 12 so can’t do espresso martinis? Enjoy one star clowns.

The most expensive larger in Wakefield and absolutely horrible The bar staff was really good and changed my husband drink ,we will not be going again lots of other bars and better beers and better prices. Sandy and Paul

A wonderful, atmospheric place in the very center, a perfect place to relax in the garden :-)

The pub caught my attention with the sheer number of customers in the front beer garden. Friendly and fast service, great atmosphere in the place, great music, clean bathrooms, delicious pizza from a wood-fired oven and affordable prices of beers from the tap. I sat down at a table in a side street, where I had the comfort of conversation and a quiet alley. A place off the beaten track, away from the hustle and bustle of crowds and the nearby city center. I recommend.

Food is excellent value and very good. Some of the best pizza for miles. Grab an order sheet and tick your toppings before handing it in to the area by the pizza oven. Get a buzzer and collect your freshly made pizza as soon as it's ready. Pricey cocktails unless you can get there for happy hour before 7pm. However they are very good cocktails all mixed to order and not the cheap premade junk. Live music on Sunday so the place always has a great sociable vibe.

Great bar & would say most popular in Wakefield centre. Only downside here is way too busy for a place with a small bar/lack of bar staff, takes 10-20 minutes to get served so mostly avoid this place now for that reason

Over 7 pounds for a pint and half of Coors when we paid 5.60 for 2 pints at the blind pig....robbing gits....stay away from this place.

Didn't eat, so can't comment on food. Just one beer, very nice Heineken silver, friendly, barman. Was in there early so not busy. Sat next to open windows at front, not a bad spot to pass an hour, I would go again.

Lovely little bar, good food, good cocktails and nice bar staff. The window seats are spot on for people watching :)

Heck, I am meant to be out & about, reviewing Doncaster, South #Yorkshire, content friends. However. Excellent #pizza here is too good to miss! Lunchtime deal best if you're on a budget. Small pizza/soft drink, just £6, 1-4pm, Mon-Thu. Funnily enough I am not actually eating here today. So pic from another great pizza place in Docklands, #London. Could easily be said bar in Wakefield, the food looks so similar.

If you are a pretty young lady you are getting table service, service with a smile and help with your order, if that's not the case don't expect the above

This is a lovely bar. Staff are really friendly. Pizzas were nice and good value and cocktails were on offer!

Went in with friends for a few drinks . Bar staff were friendly and helpful. Tried the food pizza and dough balls that were tasty and we thought very good value. Freshly made

First visit for myself and 3 friends. Cocktails and pizza were both lovely. We got there at 12 but can see that it does get very busy so it seemed we picked a good time. Wasn’t cheap but it was pleasant as a one off

Great place for drinks but can be very busy waiting in queues due to the cocktail offers. Plenty of staff however, just one of those things.

Went for a few drinks before going for a meal , great atmosphere, well recommended.

Had a chicken and pepperoni pizza cost £11 not bad price. Wife had some cocktails. Cocktails 2 for £12. Only thing is they have to be same and get both same time wouldn't be bad if 2 of you drinking. Which she loves from here. Solearo us best one. I had my usual beer can't go wrong with a nice cold moretti.

Never been spoke to as rude before by bar staff. Cocktails were nice but staff need customer service training.

During the afternoon it's a soulless place with outrageous prices for drinks. Not good at all.

Staff have got a power kick, wouldn’t let my mate have his ID back when he is 22! Took us 20 minutes to talk to manager to get his REAL ID back and no apologies given. Bouncers was also trying to trip up us with questions - asking things like when our driving licenses expire which is completely useless. The fact that the member of staff went out of her way to lie about me and my friends to other establishments means that they should never be trusted. Never coming back again

Extremely poor service - got removed from the bar after causing no issues and 2 rounds of drinks because one of the bartenders was the ex of one of our group and we were told we were making her uncomfortable

We love the supper club. Great pizzas and garlic bread pizzas. Simple and tasty with the ability to pick toppings you want. Great drink selections too. We often go lunch time on a Sunday with the kids too. Friendly and relaxed.

Pezzari staff have a bad attitude, especially with someone with sight impairment. Best avoided. I’ve visited previous with no issues, but today was obviously a bad staff day. I won’t be returning.

The best place to visit for a good pizza and to have a good time out with my friends. The drinks offers and prices are good as well

Lovely place, lots of choices of toppings for your custom made pizza. Can't fault it, even better, it was 2 for 1 on the Monday when we visited, x🍕 😊

Visited today for cocktails. Outstanding service. Special mention to Courtney for recommending the Salted caramel expression martinis. Service prompt and atmosphere really pleasant. Would recommend visiting.

We have been here a few times, its always busy, always noisy you cannot have a conversation, the service is slow and the drinks are over priced

One of my favourite places to visit, cocktails never fail to impress. Staff are always friendly and helpful

not clean tables and they are uneven so nearly spilled drink all over myself. Seems to attract the wrong people. Alcohol is good not top quality

Got told to go F off by staff for no reason, then got told to leave because I didn't like being spoken to in such a manor. Never going back. The staff are diabolical, rude and utterly discusting. Then when they saw my walking stick and disability they said they didn't serve people like me because the place was for 'normal people'' Then they got the bouncer to escort me out because the ' manage' didn't like attitude. AVOID AT ALL COST BECAUSE PEOPLE WHO ARE DISABLED ARE NOT WELCOME.

Was really impressed with this place, was visiting a friend who had booked it, knowing that I’m a nightmare with where I eat. Highly recommend this place

Can't comment about food, not eaten there, though the pizzas do look good. Drinks more pricey than usual for Wakey but excellent. COCKTAILS 2 FOR 10 certain times of the day and very potent. Busy at peak times but worth the visit. 👍

Was very busy as it was a Saturday evening but the staff coped brilliantly and you didn't have to wait long. There was also an artist singing which went down a treat

Great place Great location just needs cleaner glasses I mean 1 glass doesn't define a place but still it wasn't the cleanest other than that Great establishment.

Arguably, the best bar currently in Wakefield. Great atmosphere at weekends, superb pizzas and has a good people-watching beer garden which is handy in Wakefield as loads of characters walk past. I'd get rid of the bandit tho, takes up room and looks tacky.

One of our favorites, pizza made to order, choose sauces and toppings and cooked to perfection. Full bar, indoor and outdoor seating.

Nice bar with a decent selection of ales. Pizzas are nice/fresh. Does get really busy though so choose your moment wisely.

Just popped in for a drink with friends. Live music on Saturday afternoon is a great idea. Stayed a couple of hours. Great vibe 😃

Great pizza at reasonable price. Thought beer was pricey but in line with The Counting House. Wetherspoons an alternative

Visited bank hiday Sunday afternoon. Really friendly staff, had a great bottle of red wine. Buzzy, nice mix of people having fun. Just take care going to the loo down steep steps to the dungeon 😁😁. 2 for £10 cocktails looked popular, would defo go again.

Had a brilliant cocktail in the Supper Club's outside seating area - great to watch the Wakey world go by!

The place is very nice the food is very good the cocktails good and strong (even better when you stagger home after several 2 for 1’s. The staff are really friendly and customer service is good too!

Stopped by for lunchtime cocktails, and took advantage of the 2for1 cocktail offer. The barman pointed out that Guinness was on offer too. Great service. We didn’t have any food, but the table next to ours looked great, and the make your own pizza menu is a great offer. Would definitely return if in the area.

Nice pizza, good cocktails, staff very attentive and helpful

This really is a hidden gem whether you want a drink or something to eat. Fresh pizza straight from the oven. Superb atmosphere with the occasional live band or singer at the weekend. Lovely outdoor area on a sunny day too.

Wouldn’t serve us for no reason

Visited for pizza and drinks with friends, I don’t drink, so just had coke. The staff are friendly, there’s lots of room between tables and they can be easily pushed together to make bigger tables. I liked the idea of the pizza tick sheet. But the pizza itself wasn’t great, dough so thin that it was just burnt, sauce not got much taste to it and toppings not great quality. Not sure I’d return here, more of a bar with added extra of pizza which is fair enough, but not for me.

We were having a great time here tonight when my friend became unwell (not drink related). The staff - from the young lady behind the small bar, to the security staff & the manager - were all brilliant! They gave us ice, helped my friend out to get fresh air and ordered us a taxi to take her home. I can not praise them enough. Thank you so much. I hope you get to read this. - you were brilliant x

Nice atmosphere in here, wife loved cocktails. Management very receptive to reviews and reached out to make sure all was good. That's really impressive. Nothing to lose from a visit here at all.

It's always a pleasure to visit the supper club for a tipple and a bite to eat. The staff are so friendly, thoughtful and will go the extra mile for you! It is decorated so nicely with Christmas lighting. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars today is that the food was quite a long wait this time around, but still arrived hot so that was fine for me as I wasn't in a rush. Thanks again :)
