Great time at Ask this evening, Edit made us feel so welcome and was so attentive the whole evening. The food was delicious and service was great across the board!

I booked Ask Italian Castleford for my niece’s 21st Birthday. It was a great evening enjoyed by everyone. It was made extra special by our waitress Karolin, she was exceptional! Made everyone feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make it special for the birthday girl, which was very much appreciated. The Birthday girl was so delighted and we will definitely be back again. Thank you so much Karolin x

Our server Edit was lovely and got us seated straight away. Our drinks and food were served promptly and was amazing.

The staff here are absolutely amazing. Me and my friend were seated within a minute of walking in with the waitress promptly coming to take our drinks orders. the drinks came and were amazing, and the food was even better. freshly cooked and hot and not too doughy or filling. compliments to the chefs and the waitresses also, all so attentive and polite. thankyou for a great experience

Edit and her team made us feel very welcome as they were both friendly and professional. The restaurant became quite busy after we arrived but the service was as impeccable as always. Will definitely keep coming and will recommend to all friends and family to come to this branch too.

This is my usual go to restaurant at junction 32 but today was not my best experience. Eaten here many times but today was not very good. It wasn’t that busy but food was undercooked and pretty bland. I normally eat there mid week and the food is very good. Maybe different chefs on a Saturday. Won’t be visiting again for a while.

Great spot for an early dinner, service was quick and attentive without feeling rushed. Lora was fantastic, really looked after us and found us a table even though we hadn’t booked and looked quite busy, she was amazing with our toddler too, made us feel welcome and allowed us to enjoy ourselves and relax! Thankyou! Pizzas were great, and little one absolutely loved his smiley face pizza!

Lora was a delight! So lovely to myself and friends making us feel super welcome. Food was brought out promptly, there was a small issue with one dish but Lora spotted the mistake and quickly amended it!

I don't normally fill these out but felt I had to because of the exceptional service from liviah at your Castleford restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for her when she served myself and my young family. She got the balance just right between being attentive but not making us feel rushed even though it was a busy Friday night. Thankyou so much

Fantastic 3 course meal here, we visit regularly utilising our taste card. The service is attentive and the portions are a decent size too. Olivia was fantastic with fast service and great conversation, highly recommend

The restaurant was lovely and not as busy as expected which is a plus for us. Our waitress, Karolin was lovely and checked on us several times. Our party have chosen four different mains which were all really delicious although the pizza was on the smaller side. Overall a great experience and we’ll definitely visit again.

Food was fantastic, service good from Martha. Not a complaint but worth noting you can't use blue light discount on Fridays and Saturdays.

Great selection of pastas here as well as pizzas and other Italian dishes. I find there are less pasta choices at other establishments. Good selection of veggie, but maybe there could be more veggie options that aren’t mushroom based. Food was really yummy, service from Livian was great too. Loved it!

Came in today and met a lovely lady called Laura her customer service was fantastic she was so pleasant and happy it was a refreshing change from normal restaurant. She is a credit to the company and I hope she gets acknowledged for her hard work and commitment.

Food was excellent for a chain restaurant. The prawn and crayfish pasta sauce was as good as always.Leo was fantastic. My pizza was really really good, calzone!! Very full now.

We didn’t book a table but were greated promptly and sat within minutes, wine selection was very reasonably priced (including a Chianti Classico for under £30)! Food was also great and well presented. Leo and Karolin were looking after us, both were fantastic and really made a chain restaurant feel like a family Italian, would highly recommend!

Went on a birthday treat with mum, the food was absolutely amazing 🥳 really nice and filling foods. Service was an easy 5 stars, kind and friendly waiters. The atmosphere was stunning. Tables were spotless and lights were beautifully decorated. Will definitely come back

I had lasagne which was utter disgusting. There was no cheese sauce and no cheese on top juts dried burnt pasta . The meat sauce was paper thin and over salted … it cost no more than 50p to make … I will never return

Ask is one of my favourite restaurants, the garlic butterfly prawns are truly amazing but do vary a lot, the bruschetta can be burnt or there can be not enough garlic sauce, but most of the time, they are perfect. The mains I am still working through, but I do like the seafood the best. Tirramasu is certainly SIMPLY THE BEST!!! The staff are always polite and friendly and attentive especially the Italian accent too

Lovely food except some of the bread was rock hard, didn't get our free dough balls either. Waited absolutely ages, about an hour and 20mins from starter to main course. Tables all clean but lots of food on the floor and the toilets were super dirty. Such a shame as love this restaurant.

We visited ASK Italian for the first time and were impressed by the nice decor and ambiance of the place. While the starters were enjoyable, the main courses and dessert fell below our expectations, especially when compared to other Italian restaurants we’ve tried. However, the highlight of our visit was the staff—they were absolutely amazing, among the best I’ve ever come across.

Went as a group of 8 friends and were very disappointed with the food. Ordered Sea Bass main and the fillet of fish left a lot to be desired, it was a slither not a fillet and came with no White Wine sauce as suggested on the menu. The side of Fonduta Potatoes should have been roasted and covered in 2 types of cheese however, the dish I received was boiled potatoes covered in bechamal. I queried this with the waitress who said it was as per the menu. It was not anything like the description nor the advertised photo on their online menu. We ordered 5 of these at £5.75 each so most of us were disappointed. Calzone Carne Piccante lacked a lot of filling and had extra onions as a nice surprise seen as my friend actually hates them so couldn't eat this. We decided against going for drinks as we had planned after leaving and went to grab a KFC as we were all hungry after eating little to nothing. Cheesecake was lovely but assuming this was not made on the premises and was instead, bought in. The waitress was really lovely and she is the only reason I am leaving one star.

The food my husband ordered, the cheesy garlic chips weren't cooked properly and just had grated cheese and a drizzle of garlic butter, shouldn't they at least had melted cheese? The breaded chicken was worse than a chicken burger from mcdonalds, it was dry and with a small amount of garlic butter in the very middle, the salad didn't have any mustard in the sweet mustard dressing. Not impressed at all with the quality of the food for the price, and it was for our 30th wedding Anniversary treat!
