Don Beni in Bracknell Forest

Delicious meal as usual! We have missed Don Beni so much during lockdown. Was wonderful to be back. The staff are always so friendly and the food is such high quality. The prawns were huge and so tasty.Everything tastes so fresh and well cooked. Great to be back!

I went with friends the food mostly was frozen the veg had been frozen the quality has gone down. The wine and the food is overpriced disappointed

Only option was to collect a meal during lockdown - collected on time, great service from the staff, massive portions (as usual!), and superb quality food. The high spot of the week!

the italian pizza chef is one of the best around in london and around.the pizza is a very really nice. the problem is when the pizza chef has the day off ... other pizza chefs are not as good as him

After coming here for valentines and loving the food I was treated to a meal here when they were allowed to reopen. The food was still good and very tasty. Because of the restrictions they have to have less tables in now so worth booking ahead. Hand sanitiser is provided on every table. We ate early this time and with the natural light the restaurant looks a lot brighter. Still not a fan of the bright yellow and orange walls! One of the best Italians I have been too and I really do enjoy it.

I cane here today with my misses who’s half Italian the food was like eating a plate of Greece.i would not come if someone paid me the only way I could describe the food is as rotten. If I wanted place of Greece I would go to cheap cafe.

I was treated to a meal here for Valentines. By my boyfriend. Neither of us had been here before and were not disappointed. There was so much choice I struggled to decide and had to send the waiter away a few times (sorry!) They were not bothered and very friendly. The food itself was delicious. I had a mushroom starter and carbonara. Couldn’t fault the taste at all. My only criticism preventing it getting a 5 rating is it felt very dark and cramped. If it was lighter and tables not as close it would have got full marks. Loved the food and can not wait to return once reopen.

I love Don Beni because the hospitality from the people there is so welcoming and the food is to die for!!!!! My two personal favourites are the American Pizza and the lasagne. The flavours are amazing. At the end of the ending they serve you the bill with mints and lollipops. They are great with little children and there is always something on the menu for everyone. I recommend it to anyone!

Saturday evening so booked. Place busy. Plenty of staff. Good menu all meals enjoyed will venture out to our local Don Beni in Eton now. ✅

We had a family night out, wife and two boys, 12 and 16 years old. This is a tricky group to cater for, more so with the boys. We had an absolutely fantastic night out, great food, four clean plates. Great service, polite and friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

Unfortunately I do not have pictures from last night but the pictures that are already put on trip adviser are up to date with decor colours. I thought the food as always was amazing we had the gamberoni prawns, they were lovely and a larger portion than Winkfield rows Don bennys.... No complaints there, bring it on lol I was eating at the right place then, sauce was real tasty had a nice kick as wel not to spicy just right , the veal was beautifully cooked as well again lovely portion, and rigatoni with pancetta was a real good size and full of flavor and spice and tasty the service was really good they were genuinly very nice and well mannered and acomidating and explained there menu to us effortlessly when we asked them about the dishes we might of preferred that night I would go back again and will soon, cheers guys

I recently visited Don Beni with some friends. Our table was booked for 8pm and we arrived and sat down. The starters were very nice but unfortunately by 10pm we hadn’t had our main courses. When we asked where they were, they then appeared about 15mins later. Some of our party felt at that stage it was too late to eat their food so either left their food or took it home in a box. When we then received the bill we decided, due to the late arrival of our food, as a group not to pay the full service charge, which has automatically been added to our bill. We were told by the person serving us that we had not paid the full bill and he was very confrontational and then walked away when we explained we had paid the bill but we were not intending to pay the full service charge considering that our meals had been so late. I am not sure I want to visit again due to the way the situation was handled which is a shame because the food was nice.

Another no nonsense visit to Don Beni's with family visitors. We can always rely on good service and good food .

We went there for dinner last night with my brother and sister in law. We always have such a lovely time there. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Starter: Avocado and Prawns with garlic bread.This was like a meal on it’s own. Beautifully presented and absolutely gorgeous.Main:Fillet steak in a dolcelatte sauce, sauté potatoes, spinach and mushrooms.Again fantastic presentation. The steak was so tender it was like cutting into butter. The sauce was to die for. So creamy and plenty of it. Potato’s and veggies were well cooked and plenty of them.Dessert:Home made tiramisu. Oh it was just heaven Staff and Price:Really friendly and nothing too much trouble. Very welcoming.All this for just under £90 for 2. Highly recommend this small but wonderful restaurant.

Food was nice, service friendly enough. But looking around the place it looks quite dirty. Window frames and pictures very dusty and dirty. The place looks in need of being modernised/well cleaned . Decor dated. Just my thoughts, hope owners read this as I like food.

My daughter and I ate here last night. I’ve been here many times but not recently. I love the atmosphere of this place, feels just like being on holiday. The food was delicious, my daughter had a pizza and I had a seafood spaghetti that I totally recommend. The staff were great, friendly and efficient. My only complaint would be that there are too many tables squeezed in, its definitely not somewhere to go and have a quiet romantic meal! However I will definitely be back.

Took my Mum and my 9 year old son here. Pizzas were great. Mother loved the lasagne. Although it was a quiet lunchtime, service was first class. Would come back again.

We had previously been to the now defunct branch in Windsor, but as we live nearby, decided to try the Crowthorne branch. Glad we did. Very warm welcome on a Tuesday evening, and it filled up quickly. I asked our waiter his opinion on the Jamie's collapse, and he explained that all restaurants have been suffering increased food and staff costs, rates etc. On to our food choice and we boringly both chose Calamari (delicious), then lovely seafood dishes as mains. No chance to try a dessert as we were full. Reasonable bill including the wine was about £65 plus optional tip. Worth a repeat visit, and to the one in Eton near my sister.

We visited Don Beni on a quiet mid week evening; we were greeted with smiles and shown to our table of choice. Menus and drinks followed in short order. Our food orders were taken and our starter - a foccacia for the table - was delivered promptly; it looked and was appetizing. However when our main course order was delivered to the table, although the portions were generous, the food was overcooked and far too hot to be edible as plated. A disappointment which does not reflect the standard we expected.

Like this restaurant a lot. It’s a quite noisy and very lively. Possibly better for groups rather than a romantic dinner for two.

This is possibly the most well used Italian in the local area, in fact the decor and atmosphere feels like being on holiday. Never had a bad meal and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.

We had booked a table of 6 for 7.30 and 4 had starters, which were good and large! I shared part of my friends Prawns. The mains were nearly all steaks,most cooked as requested and nice sauce. I had asked for the half Lobster with prawns and other shellfish and spaghetti in a tomato base. I was given the whole lobster which is a very similar dish, but no prawns. I didn't immediately notice and it didn't bother me when I did, but sadly whilst the spaghetti, mussels, clams and sauce were beautiful, the lobster was over cooked.

Ensure you are hungry before coming here as the portions are huge - we were full after the starters! We had a lovely evening meal with great service and delicious, fresh and plentiful cuisine. Even the salads looked amazing. The staff were friendly and attentive at all times. Only small issue would be that the music playing was rock - would have rather had smooth or Xmas tunes. However by 8pm the whole restaurant was packed solid and very loud with chatter so could not hear the music. We did have to shout at each other at times. Bit too cosy as well so felt slightly squashed. However, loved the food, the service and the evening. Will be returning for certain

Birthday meal booked over the phone for 6 people, no trouble at all to accomodate us.

Dined here with family. The third time for me, but more often for them. As before, great food, comprehensive menu, attentive service, and nice ambience about the place. My BUT - as mentioned in previous reviews - relates to the obligatory 10% service charge - not something I'm comfortable with. A decision regarding a "tip" should be left to diners - who might want to award more - but this should always be a matter of choice - not compulsion.

Had lovely lunch with my mum, everything freshly cooked. Nice atmosphere and good staff. Will visit again.

We chose Don Beni as a restaurant for a family celebration meal out. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Enjoyed drinks without being rushed. Meal dishes were all very good and the service was absolutely impeccable. A great evening out and will return. Thank you.

We had a lovely family meal in Don Beni. The food was amazing. The portion sizes were great - slightly more than you need. The service was impeccable - the waiting staff couldn't do enough.

Been here many times and always perfect food and lovely staff. Child friendly so perfect for my family, my daughter loves spa bolognese, my wife the pollo don beni and I love the lamb cutlets.

Consistent good food. Excellent pizzas thin based. Good portion pastas. Perfect for a family day out.

Crowthorne is a small town to visit, Don Beni is the perfect restaurant for a lunch, family dinners or a night out with friends. We were visiting Wellington College for a few weeks and found Don Beni on our second week. The staff is incredible, very welcoming. After eating fried food and curry for a week Don Beni was a welcome surprise. The food is incredible... The pizza wonderful. My favorite was the Super Mare E Monte pasta, perfect flavor!!! Make sure you have the Limoncello!! I wish I could pick the restaurant up and take it home with me!!!!

Enjoyed a family meal here recently. Food very good, and ample portions. Where it fell down a bit for us was slow service, and someone forgetting our prior booking, which meant a wait for our table. The restaurant's popularity ensures that it's pretty full, which has it drawbacks in terms of making it difficult to enjoy quiet conversation - a low ceiling, and tables very close together, ensure magnified noise. Not a fan of the rule that a 10% service charge WILL be added to all bills where 6 or more diners are involved. Gratuities should always be left to the diner's discretion.

Went here with a friend today (Sunday) for a lunch and i ordered a nice and fresh Risotto Salmone with a fresh ingredients,wich i recomend , and my friend ordered a mush & ham pizza, also fresh and very taste (I could not resist and i took a slice)The place is quiet small but the atmosphere is nice.Our server was attentive, and give as time enough to see the menu and he was more than happy to help us with the decision!I will recomend this place to anyone!

We've taken our children and grandchildren to Don Benis in Crowthorne since the day it opened. In fact now the grandchildren, on hearing they are staying with us say, "can we go to DBs every night". My husband rates the lamb cutlets and steak very highly and is very fussy. It's a place we eat at regularly and there are several vegetarian options which is a plus for me too. I can't rate it highly enough, especially when we have been out all day, it's a great place to pop into. We know the staff well and they are keen to please.

Had a wonderful family meal at Don Beni's, we were a large table of 9 (7 adults & 2 children), we were given a nice space at the back of a small but very busy restaurant. Being a Friday evening there was a lively buzz, and although the restaurant was packed, it had a very intimate atmosphere. On recommendation from one of our party who had eaten here before (also had take away)

We hadn't planned a night out but visited last minute. We were seated immediately and the service was excellent. I remember don Beni in Wokingham but this was far superior in all ways. We both really enjoyed our meals and we're looking forward to visiting again.

Have eaten here on a few occasions with family and have always had excellent food and great service. It is only a small place but is a traditional Italian, and can get busy but this only adds to the atmosphere. A great little restaurant and good value for money.

After a disaster at the pub next door, we were welcomed with a smile to Don Beni. Gorgeous, intimate setting with candles and music. We had a perfectly chilled Sauvignon, light starter and then Veal Pizzaiola and my better half had Carbonara. Both were exquisite, in fact, the Carbonara was labelled 'the best ever'. High praise indeed! Our meal was served promptly, and topped off with a frozen Limoncello shot, yum. This is a must if you visit Crowthorne, you won't be disappointed, and you'll leave stuffed!

Lovely italian restaurant, although it's not very big but i really like the atmosphere. Food was never dissapoints, always taste really good. Some of the staff were funny they made us laugh, and they always making sure that everything was ok. So service was great. There's parking space nearby. We always come here for special occasions. Highly recommended

We eat here once a year when we're down for Ascot but we were all disappointed this time. Menu and decor dated and the food was only average. Won't be coming back next year

This restaurant is all about the atmosphere. With its quirky little terrace and waiters who must be exaggerating the Italian accents, it feels like going on holiday. It doesn't have the sterile atmosphere of the big chain Italians (whoever chose the yellow paint on the walls was brave). The staff are the most attentive and accommodating that you could wish for and alway try to squeeze you in, even on a Saturday night when you haven't booked. The food is good. I have been a few times now and I would say the pasta and pizza options are better than the other choices although the MISTO PESCE DIAVOLA that I ordered off the special menu was very nice. It was a selection of lobster and sea food in a tomato sauce which arrived with a finger bowl, nutcracker and wedge of napkins. Expect to get messy with that one! The majority of plates are between £10-£15 but they are large so go easy on the starters.

Disgusting food, the pepperoni tasted vile. It was overly greesy, such a waste of money for what you get. Don't bother going here!

Don Beni is our local and what a fabulous place to have on your doorstep.Staff are a delight and the food never disappoints after eating here on several occasions.

I think the title says it all really. While my foodie preference would be Kabirs around the corner, in the time we've eaten in Don Beni, it's been nothing but good really. The atmosphere is always fairly boisterous, it's always noisy, but food is very tasty and we've never had a bad meal.

We have eaten here for 3 years now, but only just got round to leaving a review. How to sum up Don Beni, perfect service, beautiful food, great value for money. On a business trip to Crowthorne we decided to eat at the local Italian and it was a great choice. Really good menu and plenty to pick from as a vegetarian and with a few tweaks they were more than happy to make it vegan. Garlic mushrooms to start, olives and bread and the vegan pizza (no mozzarella or Parmesan) + pineapple was absolutely delicious. Good music and atmosphere too.

Amazing food, Amazing service, all with candles and attentive staff. The steak is one of the best around - Filleto al Barolo is one of the best steaks I have eaten and we are foodies so have been to many places. The garlic bread with cheese is also absolutely yummy along with the king prawns. Pollo Don Beni and the Pollo Naughty are two of my favourite chicken dishes but the Pollo Milano e Napoli is my favourite chicken dish in any restaurant. Tony is absolutely lovely and cannot do enough to make your experience memorable. All of the staff are lovely. Make sure you book, its so good I don`t want to tell people so that we can always get in but at the same time it`s good to acknowledge worthwhile places so that others can also enjoy the best food ever! The pizza`s are also hands down my favourite - I could eat there every day!!

The usual trip advisor "where shall I eat tonight" pulled up Don Beni. A 40 min walk from digs, but was well worth it. A warm welcome, an excellent menu choice for all tastes. I had grilled sardines and the seafood risotto. Both were well cooked, full of flavour - especially the risotto which is done in a tomato based stock- something I've never had before but am going to attempt at home as was perfect.The restaurant itself is very homely, candle lit tables; the staff friendly and efficient.Well worth a visit.

We were with friends 2 times the first time in November and the second in February. in November we stayed in some bad reading recensioni..abbiamo took carbonara, and we who have been in Italy I can say that the carbonara is not that ... the pizza is not the same at all italiana..la second time we took only 3 pizzas and I can guarantee you that are truly exceptional it will be changed pizzaiolo nn so but they are one of the best pizzas that are around here I highly recommend you try the pizzas

As usual, we found it buzzing with an atmosphere many would die for. Staff were attentive without being pushy and helped us with a wheelchair situation. A little tight for space but all contributed to a lively night !

We visited on a Saturday evening for a family meal out. It was very busy so a good job I had booked. The Waiter's are charming & very friendly. We shared garlic bread to start and boy was it garlicky! Which is just the way we like it. Then they all had pizza's, the girls had small ones (which could have fed an adult. I had Carbonara which was delicious & again portion size was very generous. The ambience is lovely soft lighting and candles on the table, lovely pictures on the walls. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

A lovely restaurant that is good for romantic dinners, dinners with friends, or big family events. The food is gorgeous, particularly the seafood and the steaks are amazing. The staff are attentive and friendly and make a point of recognising returning customers.

Very friendly restaurant at the end of Crowthorne High Street, have driven past many times but decided to give it a go. I started with the Minestrone which was full to the brim with fresh vegetables and was very obviously newly made, for the main we went for the Pizza and came out piping hot was a good size and well priced. In all a nice Sunday meal, not rushed and a very reasonable price, although next visit the T-Bone will have to be tried

Me and my friends decided go out for a dinner, and we found this lovely restaurant in this small village. Food was tasty and very good portions, I didn't finished my Veal Milano e Napoli.. My friends had filets, it was perfect cooked and came with fantastic sauces. We will be back for sure!

We too my brother here when he was visiting from Toronto, and he remarked how lucky we were to have such an excellent restaurant in our village, and he was right. You may not think that high praise, but the city of Toronto has more Italian's in it than any other city in the world other than Rome, so they know Italian food! Friendly, great service, excellent food. Not a budget restaurant, but worth it. Excellent pasta, risotto, pizza, and seafood.

We went as a party of 7 on a Saturday night. It wasn't very busy but the service wasn't good at all. A few things simply didn't arrive on our order and at the end of the meal we had to wait a long time for the table to be cleared and after about 10 minutes I had to ask to see the dessert menu for the children. My medium rare fillet was very overcooked as well. Our friends who also go there regularly said it is extremely expensive and you expect more for what you pay for.

Stopped coming here a few years back when the changed the menu but was told they were back to their "old" ways. Great menu (again) and high quality. Has to be one of the best Italian and steak restaurants around. Great service, attentive.

We went for dinner last night with friends, we were going to go for a curry but decided to try Don Beni's, luckily we got the last table it was Busy, Buzzy, warm, friendly and great food, we will be going back again!!

We've been Don Benians for years! Even though that there are a couple of Don Beni's out there, it doesn't feel like a copy/paste chain restaurant. Waiters and hosts are hospitable and as importantly, efficient! It's true that you may have to wait a little longer than normal when it's busy, it gives you time to chat about the day and enjoy the cosy atmosphere over a couple of drinks, in true Italian style! Great to go to for a fun and informal evening out where you feel comfortable and relaxed and end up with a full belly (avoid the temptation to put your feet up!)! Food has that home cooked feeling and I am quite sure there is a little Italian mama hiding in the kitchen barking out orders with military precision to frantic kitchen staff!

My wife and I went on Monday 5th September, it was a warm evening so we sat out on the verandah, service was good and the food good too, the only down side was one of the avocado's that my wife had was very hard and un-edible.

Food is ok. Portion Sizes are small.Service was quite slow 'in my opinion ' We took my Elderly motherinlaw.She found it difficult to see her food and certainly had no chance with the menu.

Took dinner here with family - first time for me, but others in my party have been here before. Pretty busy for mid-week, but it didn't impact on service at all. Nice ambience about the place. Food excellent - all of us had different meals, and all declared very satisfied. Not for the faint hearted price-wise, as some of the main courses are priced around £25.00, but you get what you pay for. Be aware that a 10% service charge is included on the bill, when presented to you. Not a practice which everyone will find acceptable.

A small establishment with parking in the rear. A quaint authentic Italian restaurant with a superb selection on the menu. More expensive than other restaurants in the area but as a treat well worth it.
