We checked out previous reviews and were a bit unsure what to expect. We were definitely not disappointed. Food and service were exceptional. Delicious steak and seafood combo.Fillet steak fell apart. Really good quality and we will be back soon Thank you! 😋

This restaurant is upstairs but does have a stairlift for those with mobility issues. Extensive menu and also offers two 3 course meal options, one at £14.95 and one at £21.95. I opted for the cheaper one. I had bruschetta to start, Kiev pizza(chicken, sweetcorn, garlic and mozzarella) and profiteroles. The was a £2 extra charge for the bruschetta and profiteroles. The food and service was excellent. Nice atmosphere and attentive staff. Would highly recommend.

Clean restaurant and everything seemed pleasant enough. My son says his pizza was great and my partner’s pasta bake was also great though it didn’t have much meat in. Ironic really as my vegetarian pasta did contain meat! A big lump of chicken…! Not happy at all and, whilst they agreed not to charge me for my meal, the apology was very poor indeed. A mumbled “sorry” was all I got before the manager went off to talk to the chef. No further comments from them but as a vegetarian, being given chicken is very offensive to me, and I would have expected some feedback from the chef with a more genuine heartfelt apology. Actually quite disgusted with their response to what was no doubt a genuine mishap but left me feeling repulsed. More care needs to be taken and needless to say, I won’t be going back!

A fabulous, authentic Italian. We all ordered something different from the menu. We all had the same opinion, the food was delicious. Better authentic Italian cuisine I haven had.

Sat here having tea it was lovely but I have to say I got 6 bits of small chicken in my meal was very disappointed for 10 95. Staff was very nice and place very clean

Tried this restaurant whilst on holiday. 5 adults and two small children. Children's meals were brilliant value. Steak was delicious as was everything that we ordered off the extensive menu. Staff very attentive. A very relaxing and pleasant dining experience and we would certainly recommend this restaurant.

what a hidden gem!! Pizza and pasta was some of the best I've ever had...so totally unexpected and the service was outstanding! I've told all my family and friends this is the place to go when in newbiggin by the sea!!

I went this evening for a meal, had amazing service with amazing food . You can go and see the chefs from the past, making the fresh food in front of you lovely and friendly easy to talk to recommended 100%.

I eat out quite a lot and this is one of my favorite restaurants. I have never had a bad meal here. Service is always polite and the food and quality of the chefs cooking is excellent. Add to that the prices are always reasonable. I recommend to anyone.

We regularly visit with family and love the reasonable prices great value and delicious food every time. I am however increasingly concerned about the stairlift which has worked intermittently for the last year or two..The lift is clearly not serviced regularly as it has not been working well for a long time.We always have issues going up in the stairlift ( less so on the way down) . Although this is frustrating my wider concern is that if there was a fire or emergency any disabled customers would have major issues leaving the building. I’m not convinced a risk assessment has been done either as this seems to me to be a major issue. Looking at the wires today revealed 3 loose wires and one that had been cut( very visible to anyone looking) not sure we will visit as regular from now as I’m worried about my stepmoms safety and want to feel confident that she is safe xx

Wouldnt even dare attend here. They change the dates of all of the food in fridges and if you say your pasta is geasy they take it back and pat it down with paper towel , also both bosses have a stinking attudie and hiring young people and making them feel bad !!! This place needs shut down and a visit from Environment health

We use this restaurant whenever we’re in Newbiggin by the Sea. The food is freshly prepared and there’s a good variety one of our favourite restaurants. Check out their ‘Specials’ they’re really affordable and are top quality.

Thanks for looking after us for our Christmas Day lunch. Can’t fault the food, service and the lovely girls who were waiting on the tables. Hats off to all the staff who did a great job.

Starters lovely but main course went on Xmas eve had company down from Edinburgh I know that veg are ment to have a crunch to them but you couldn’t put your fork through the cauliflower and the Yorkshire puddings would of broken the windows we ate at 5 pm and when confronted the chefs response was only one came back when there was four sent back he had been a chef since he was 16 and he new they were ment to be crunchy and he had made them fresh that morning not good at all definitely won’t be back

Food was fantastic, menu had a good choice. The mussels were superb for a starter & the portions really impressive. I had the Cozze Fresche & the chicken Valdostana, both excellent. The restaurant is above a club, but don't let that put you off, absolutely superb

Overall food was lovely, just one out of the 4 meals wasn’t right but it didn’t spoil the visit. The restaurant is a big open plan space and being so busy it was a bit loud. Being a busy restaurant make sure you book ahead. First floor setting.

About 100 yards from our hotel, so we booked for the last night of our stay. We only wanted a main course and a bottle of wine so I ordered a steak with a sauce and my wife ordered sea bass fillets. The steak came swimming in the sauce in the centre of the plate and the chips came separately but where is the veg? There isn't any... The steak was awful, grainy and hard to chew. I would assume that it hadn't been aged. The chips were good though. My wife's sea bass came on top of a sort of Greek salad. 2 fillets , that she said were ok. I think she expected maybe new potatoes or something but that was it. It's a good job that we shared a Beefeater meal in the afternoon. Those 2 meals and the wine [ which was good } came to £60.85. Not great value really. It was reasonably quiet, diners wise and I can see why. I don't like doing bad reviews but this was pretty poor.

Really lovely find on our our stay in Newbiggin , food and service were good. Mussels starter from the board were amazing….

The food was really good, staff friendly and attentive. For starters we had the creamy garlic mushrooms, the sauce was very rich and strong in garlic but so tasty, they're served on their own but with the sourdoughbread and butter we were given for our table we were able to soak up the sauce! Potato skins starter were nice and crispy. For mains, we had salami pizza, chicken bake, breaded chicken dish and sirloin steak with black pudding and a djion sauce on special. All the meals were cooked well, excellent flavour and really enjoyable. Staff kindly offered to box our pizza to allow us to take away with us as we were too full to eat it! My only criticism would be the surroundings. The restaurant is in need of refurbishment with a lick of paint needed on walls that are heavily stained. The toilets were off-putting it looked like someone had been sick in both cubicles that were unflushed, sanitary bins covered in rust, and toilets generally dirty looking.

The service and the food were terrific! I had the steak and was joyfully surprised by the originally and rich taste. We all had a great time and return every time we are in Newbiggin!

Dropped in at lunchtime and ordered an all day breakfast. It arrived quickly, within ten minutes, but most of it was cold or barely lukewarm. If 10 is hot then the scores were Sausages 8 Bacon 5 Tomatoes 4 Egg 3 Mushrooms 2 Beans 2 I couldn’t make a fuss as I didn’t have time to send it back, ordinarily I would have done. I am left wondering how a “cooked to order” breakfast can arrive in ten minutes and be cold? Either it was left on the pass for too long or else it was poorly reheated, either way it was a poor effort.

Food was nice however starter portions were small for the price. The food was tasty. The staff were very attentive and quick to serve. However, the restaurant room is somewhat life a cafe but overall the experience was nice.

The restaurant lacked a bit of atmosphere however the staff were very pleasant and the food was very good. The desserts were the cheapest I’ve seen in a long while and very nice.

Had to try this little gem again whilst in the area! Had a fantastic meal from the lunchtime menu. Excellent food again. It's a shame we don't live nearer! Will definitely be back.

Best lobster bisque I’ve had for a very long time. The special was a chicken and mushroom stroganoff which was exceptionally tasty. Can’t fault it

We visited on a midweek evening. The place was not too busy. The surroundings are pleasant with plenty of room between tables. The staff were friendly and helpful too. The menu is quite large with a choice of different pastas for your pasta dish. We had a starter of calamari to share which was very nice. For mains I had the Due Fratelli pasta which was a large portion with plenty of chicken, bacon and mushrooms in quite a peppery sauce. It was lovely. OH had the pasta marinara which had loads of seafood and was a big portion too. He really enjoyed it. The desserts are home made so both of us had tiramisu which came with cream and was delicious. We had a bottle of the house red which was good. We were really pleased with the bill of £56. We'll definitely visit again when next in the area.

Excellent food and service. We went on a Wednesday evening and it was really busy and they seemed to be short staffed. The staff managed the situation well and still provided great service.

Due Fratelli is an Italian restaurant with a good range of pasta, pizza and other dishes. Food was excellent, as was the service (possibly because there were few other diners). A very good option if you are in Newbiggin.
