La Torre in Northumberland

I had the menu special king prawn with garlic sauce on toast, Chicken in a peppercorn sauce and chips and a chocolate mousse . Every thing was delicious, service was very good and had a lovely atmosphere. A very good evening.

Asked for no carrots on Uber they put carrots on and only had a tiny tiny bit of mash and swede whole order was cold and the green beans and cauliflower cheese was hard the meats were worst I’ve ever had pork was so tough, gammon was fatty and chewy and turkey was like processed the beef was decent though won’t be back

My friend who’d booked had a phone call from the manageress the day before to warn her that there was a very large party going in at 3 for a bottomless brunch complete with DJ so did we want to get there a bit earlier if we didn’t fancy the noise. We got there at 13.30 and the service was excellent. We went for a main and a sweet. I had ravioli smothered in a light cheese sauce. It was absolutely gorgeous. The raviolis were quite small instead of the huge ones you sometimes get but even so I had to cut them in half and there was lots of them. For a sweet I had the Affogato - I rarely have a sweet but this was just blissful! The rest of the party were thrilled with their meals too. I’d been at an Italian in Gosforth earlier in the week and the food I had at La Torre was far superior. We were going out just as the brunch party was going in. I’m so grateful to the manageress who rang my friend I don’t think we’d have heard each other. It’s the little things with restaurants that lift them up above the others. I just wish it was nearer to where I live.

Come here for a work night out we hired the room up upstairs the food here is amazing Amy who works on the bar is so friendly definitely a keeper got involved with us drinks price is very good would definitely recommend this place to anyone

First time visiting La Torre Bedlington, the service and atmosphere was good, however the food was shocking!! Tasteless and totally bland.

Been to this place a couple of times now. Service always excellent - staff make a real effort and always have a smile on their face. Unfortunately I have not been blown away by the food. Below average compared to other Italians in the area. My chicken parmo tasted as if it'd been defrosted and pizza not up to par for an Italian restaurant. A real shame because the atmosphere is great. Couldn't complain about the desert!

We visited as I’m not a fan of traditional Sunday Lunch but my husband is. It was perfect, I had Italian and my husband had a beautiful Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. The food was very good and the service impeccable. We will be back soon.

We go to this restaurant regularly, we consider ourselves lucky that it is within walking distance. Tonight was as usual, great food, drinks, exceptional service. The staff are amazing but we would like to thank Amy (new to us) for her professional approach , very attentive to our needs. X

Creamy roasted garlic mushrooms to start which were amazing, followed by a turkey and stuffing sunday dinner! Portions were a so big, and everything was booked to perfection! We did add extra pig in blankets and cauliflower cheese which proved too much to eat! The service was fast and very friendly and nothing was too much to trouble for the staff

I did not enjoy the food. The pasta was rubbery and the garlic bread was dry and not very garlicky. Waitress was good.

I was in last Saturday for bottomless brunch for my mam's 50th birthday, I paid for myself and her and we were with a table of 10 all together. I'm very disappointed and honestly feel like I've been robbed blind. I waited 45 mins for my first drink despite ordering it 3 times. I ended up only having two cocktails and a glass of prosecco and my mam only had 3 glasses of prosecco. I can't understand how you can have a room that full and only have one person working the bar making drinks. It certainly wasn't worth £80 and in comparison to other bottomless brunches, this one was the worst I've been to for organisation and attentiveness, it seemed poorly organised and definitely wasn't worth the £80 that I paid. I contacted La Torre on Facebook and they responded by asking where I was sat and since then I have been ignored. People on our table were holding their glasses in the air for drinks and we were being completely blanked and walked past to serve other tables. They say that you can order another drink when your current one is half empty, I'd say good luck with that. I'd save your money and go elsewhere for bottomless brunch.

Booking for a party of 7 people for an evening meal. Warm welcome from staff who showed us to our reserved table. Ordered a drink & a calzone from the menu, which was a 30-minute wait, which we were preadvised, that's how long our food would be and the other 5 orders would be quicker. Well worth wait, good food and amostphere in restaurant. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal and drinks. Two other parties at nearby tables celebrated a birthday. Would recommend.

Spent a couple of hours there celebrating my mates 30th birthday. Top service, top food and great atmosphere. Portion sizes were like you get in the States. Class place you have there lads. Keep smashing it 😉👊

Well situated in Bedlington although parking is not the easiest. Staff are friendly and the service is good. Plenty of choice on the menu at a reasonable price. If you can't eat it all simply ask for a doggy bag.

Amazing restaurant! We traveled from Liverpool to stay not far from here and the food is amazing. So SO tasty and very quick service. My steak was cooked to perfection and my fiancé loved his starter and main! As a chef, that's high praise indeed. We also got engaged whilst we were here and the waiters and waitresses made a fuss and brought us a glass of champagne. Next time we are up these ways we will 100% be coming again. Thankyou for an amazing meal and an amazing evening!

Beautiful food! I ordered the muscles in garlic sauce for starter (it was huge) i would recommend they serve less as I was stuffed by the time my main arrived. They were beautiful muscles cooked to perfection 👌. My main was chicken in tomato and chilli sauce. The sauce was very nice and was obviously a specially made sauce, the chicken was boiled and cooked perfectly again, I'm just not a fan of boiled chicken but I still enjoyed it. Definitely will be going again as I want to try more on the menu and review it. Recommended, only down side was I am disabled and the disabled toilet was out of order and its quite a walk down a flight of stairs for normal toilets.

This is the restaurant where you want to be with family to eat or with friends to drink cocktails! We were here with the family, we were served very friendly, the food was excellent. La Torre is definitely recommended for those who love delicious food and want to be served like a king.

It was a bit quiet for a Saturday lunchtime, but it looked like they were setting up for a busier afternoon (parties). Portions were huge, could have just done with a starter! Really tasty. Plates could have been cleaner, service staff were lovely, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu. Overall very good and decent value

We always use here when going for an Italians, it's our favourite restaurant. Food is always brilliant, and the service is excellent. The staff actually makes your experience even better. We recently just tried Sunday lunch, and wow, it's absolutely beautiful. We got the 2 courses for 11.99. The portion sizes are actually huge inwent for a small lunch. We will definitely be back probably every Sunday 😄

First time ordering from La Torre. Ordered a Sunday lunch for delivery. Lots of beautiful, freshly cooked vegetables, the turkey was delicious cooked to perfection and a tasty gravy to add. Just the most fantastic meal.....carbonara linguine followed by sticky toffee pudding and my wife had the chicken stroganoff followed by mint brownie. The food was well cooked, portions were a good size and the presentation was fantastic. The price was exceptional, less than £35 including two diet cokes for a fantastic meal. The service was brilliant, all the staff were friendly and looked after us brilliantly. The decor is good and the atmosphere was lovely. It was quiet when we arrived but they were hosting an Ibiza event so by the time we left it was buzzing. We need to come back more often.

Good food & good service from a very pleasant team of waiting on staff

Really disappointed phoned about 4 days ago to book a table for a Birthday meal for Sunday 3rd September 6pm. As the party arrived at the door we were greeted with a glazed look. I said my name and was told the kitchen was closed they were finished for the night. I said I had booked and left phone number they said no booking on the system no real apologies. This was chosen as the person who's birthday it was loves the restaurant. Luckily another Italian restaurant outside of Bedlington when I phoned them was open until 8pm and accommodated us. I will be returning back there and will think twice about visiting LaTorre again.

Amazing food and good prices, lovely home made chips and good gluten free options Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, they have a separate fryer for gluten free and gluten free pizzas are lovely. They usually do cheap deals during holidays where kids eat for really cheap. Gluten free mint aero brownie was amazing! Worth going for that alone!

Visited for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed our food, however we waited 35 mins between starter to main which is in my opinion is a bit to long, I must say the restaurant was busy so can understand a slight delay. I would recommend a visit and we will be back.

Good customer service and friendly staff

Avoid at all costs.. where to start. Garlic bread oily and undercooked on the bottom, way to sweet. Battered king prawns there was more batter then prawn. Mac and cheese tasteless and sauce was sour and from a jar. Main course carbonara was bland and heavy. Chicken stuffed with chorizo?? More like the cheapest pepperoni. I won't go into detail but after eating here I've had to worst day in the bathroom. My partner and I eat out at least once every 2 weeks and this was the worst food we've ever had. Would give it a minus 5 if I could.

Music too loud, screaming kids. Starter looked like it had been plated up for hours, enjoyed the mains but won’t be rushing back.

Went for a family meal part anniversary and part birthday meal. Staff was friendly and helpful and I had the pleasure of everyone singing me happy birthday with a free limoncello and a sombrero on my head. As for prices well worth it for the food we got.

Found this amazing gem of a restaurant today. Staff was amazing they really went that extra mile. Food was home cooked, authentic and just delicious. Could not believe the price either two course meal for two people and a drink for under £35. Will definitely return!! Thanks guys keep up the good work x

Overated. I went with 2 friends for bottomless brunch on Saturday afternoon, and we were seated on a table for 2. We wouldn't have been able to fit our food on never mind any drinks. I asked to be moved to a larger table and the waiter didn't seem to happy about it even though I had booked 5 weeks in advance and there were plenty of empty tables. The food was nothing special at all and the drinks were atrocious, especially the cocktails. My friend had a blood orange gin and tonic served in a large cheap glass with a bit of shrivelled passionfruit in it!! despite us repeatedly asking for smaller glasses with less ice and a proper gin glass. The toilets were a mess with the floors strewn in empty toilet rolls and the handrail up the stairs was a sticky dirty germ harbouring mess. At £40 per person it is not something I would recommend to anyone. I certainly won't be returning.

3 of us went 30th December. The service and hhe food was first rate. A really nice friendly atmosphere. This is a real gem of a place. The details seem to be important. Such as, another table ordered a Brandy. This was served properly over a warm bath of water. Great pride is taken by the whole team in the roles they perform. They should be justifiably proud.

Drinks were disgusting, had no alcohol in but charged full price, didn’t even ID us and threatened with police. Chicken was rock solid and chewy , overall disgusting experience.

Shocking service, had asked to be severd, they didnt serve some of the starters till after everyone else had finished theirs, some mains missing, and some cold !! Not even apologetic just said they wouldnt charge us for the cold meal, which wasnt eaten. Sorry but would not reccomend.
