Cafe Sambuca in Northumberland

Food was ok but didn't allow a large party to pay for there own meals. So one member had to sort it all out after. I won't be going back

ingredients were perfect. but everything was lukewarm. not very nice. I'm not happy at all. absolutely disappointing

Brilliant restraunt been few times never had a bad meal

Use this place at least twice every week. Food, service is always brilliant. Have to say though, that today we came for Sunday lunch and were unusually were disappointed. After getting our drinks we had to wait 25 minutes and then we had ask the waiter if we could order. He wasn't busy he was just setting tablesbut appears not to have seen us. The place wasn't particularly busy. Starters were good as usual and my wife was happy with her main course but.mine wasn't up to the normal standard. The peas were like bullets and the beef although plentiful and tender had no flavour. Putting this down to a onne off and won't let it put us off.

food was great, other than the potato skins being a bit hard, but the service was dreadful, extremely slow, waited about 20 mins for them to take our order, and when it came to getting the bill we waited over 10 mins and had to remind them, woman was quite blunt but the man seemed friendly, dont go if your in a rush i guess

Food was top quality and very happy with the price we paid. Pizza was amazing and the fact they box it up if you can't eat everything is even better and stops food waste.

Visited with my husband + 1 friend 4 lunch we had soup and seafood pasta. The food was delicious.and the service was quick. The staff were very friendly.

Went for lunch on Christmas Eve and the atmosphere was amazing! Staff is brilliant and attentive. The food was delicious and that might have been the best soup I’ve had in my life. A place to come back again again and again.

Really appreciate the delivery driver taking a detour to deliver to alternate address. Food was flavoursome.

Ordered to collect at 21:20, but was made for 21:00. Food was sat around for 20 minutes. Pizza and potato skins both cold and tough on collection, did not eat the potato skins they were that bad. Carbonara was hot but not great, watery and no meat

Order arrived early & was piping hot. Steak sizzler had loads of pepperoni in it which isn’t in the description of the meal & totally spoilt it. Apart from that everything else was lovely.

Food was cold, poor flavour. Potato skin started was overcooked so like burnt crisps & cold. Carbonara was cold, no flavour. Spaghetti Bolognaise was cold & according to daughter not nice but not horrific. Lasagne was cold. Most of the meals went in the bin.

Garlic bread was rock hard and there was very little cheese. No Parmesan in the carbonara

very overpriced for what you get had the lasagne and chips and definitely not worth nearly 17 pound got about 10 chips and a very very small lasagne it's a rip off

You always get a warm welcome on arrival, the staff are so friendly and helpful, I'm such a picky eater, don't like onion, mushrooms and a lot more so they always talk to me so I'm happy with what I order. You can go in anytime for three course special or if you are celebrating something they do a fabulous steak night.

De ontvangst was prima, het eten was uitstekend en alles ging lekker vlot. Wij aten de seafood risotto en de seafood spaghetti, allebei heerlijk. En tot slot kregen gratis de heerlijkste tiramisu ooit. Weggespoeld met een shotje sambuko.

A great little no nonsense italian. Fantastic value for money, food has always been good for us, either pizza, pastas or Sunday lunches. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. Will definitely be back with the family. Would highly recommend.

I had a fantastic time here last weekend with my partner! From the start, the place had a vibrant atmosphere and great vibes, with busy and friendly people. It’s not our first time here, and they always make us feel very welcome. The food is tasty, the wine is great, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The whole place felt well-organized and inviting. And the best part? The prices were amazing for what we got. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Just boring food Manager can’t do enough ., he is overpowering….. I’d rather pay double n have decent food So so noisy tables too near to one another I don’t want to hear other peoples conversations

First time using Just eat in recent times. The food was exactly what we were expecting from Sambuca having eaten in the restaurant a number of times. Delivery was on time. Overall a great experience that we will be happy to repeat.

driver complaining I'd been charged £3 less than I should. I only paid what I was billed at. food was cold, bread was soggy. I got 2 free bottles of Tango which should have cost me £3.95 each but the bottles I got had £1.99 on them

Really enjoyed my meal here had the lunchtime special, potato skins and the carbonara and coffee, staff were really nice and resurant had a nice atmosphere definitely will be going again.

Last minute plan for dinner with no booking, but we always know we will get a table and good service. Very busy for a Saturday night which is always a good sign - a table was available after a very short wait with a drink. One starter then the pizza from the special menu and fillet steak for me with peppercorn sauce requested to be served separately. My steak was cooked exactly to order, so tender and delicious. I am reluctant ordering steak elsewhere. We have been coming here for nine years and always find the food and service to be consistent, good value and more importantly a reason to return!

After being let down by another Italians in Blyth we got booked into Sambucas! This was a blessing in disguise even though the place was packed we were greeted with plenty of friendly staff at our beck and call nothing was a problem. You can tell how popular this place is and it’s not because of the cheap food. Everything was delicious and fresh at a bargain price and don’t forget they do two for £10 cocktails. This restaurant knows exactly how to run a business you can tell by the success of the place it’s just done right!

Pizza toppings were divided up onto each slice. So a slice with onions, a slice with ham, a slice with pepper etc.. Bolognese pizza was just three splats of bolognese didn’t look very appetising.. Pasta was good, but never had pizzas like that before :(

All great as usual. Just a shame the delivery driver was too scared to enter the holiday park and I had to meet him at reception despite giving the mobile home number.

Always great, friendly service. The food is excellent. Especially the jambalaya chicken. Toilets spotless -always a good indication of overall hygiene. A bit noisy when it's busy - you have to shout to be heard across the table. Seems like that's part of the Italian experience though. Or me getting old. We'll be back very soon.

Wow what a amazing time! We visited here on Saturday for my mam birthday we were a big party so we were ask to go wait in their waiting area which was quite cozy and relaxing after about 5-10mins we were taken to our table but the staff were so friendly they always remember who you are and even if they don't know you they are so friendly anyways We got to our table we got about 5-10 mins to look at the menu before they came and tuck of drinks order we were told we all had to pay together was they couldn't do split the bill as they had issues in the past which we all were ok with We got our drinks the not long afterwards we were asked what me wanted to eat the waiter was so kind as I could say what I wanted and he was understanding which was amazing as not place will help or willing to wait until another person in Ur party can help u we all got our food ordered which didn't take long to come to us We then finished are starter and main off they were both lovely However we came to ordering our pudding and for some reason the person who tuck this order got it slightly wrong but was quickly resolved which was amazing When we came to the end of our visit they all said thanks you which has never changed and I hope it stays this way Also while we were there it was a little girl birthday and how they treat her was amazing and so funny I so recommend this place to anyone and definitely be coming back as the service is 110% if not more as it always has been and the food aspecilly if you get the meal deal is cheap and well worth it

Just had an amazing meal here. Absolutely delicious! I went for a spag bol and it was the best I've had in years. My husband had calzone which didn't disappoint. Packed full and very tasty. The profiteroles are something special too. Lovely service. Very friendly. Very reasonably priced too. If you're after a decent authentic Italian meal I would highly recommend Sambuca. Will definitely go back if in the area again.

Was recommended to eat here and so pleased we did. The food was AMAZING and to be honest the best I have eaten. Norwich is a long place to just come from and have a meal but I 100% would travel again for one!! Nice to see a NCFC scarf in the bar area 😀

Having moved to Blyth earlier this year I have only found sambuca’s in the last few months we had a large family meal in October all the meals arrived together, were all hot and delicious service was outstanding since then have been several times for lunch and with friends for dinner, again couldn’t fault anything. This restaurant offers great value for money and would recommend a visit.

Absolutely amazing service everytime. I have other sambucas closer to me but would always rather travel to the Blyth one. staff are always super friendly and go above and beyond. my kids love when I say where going here too which is always a bonus 100% recommend. I will most definitely be back 🙏

Eleven of us met for lunch. We were all served almost together and the meals were piping hot. I think we all chose the special lunch, which at £7.99 for three courses was excellent value. I had potato skins followed by arribiatta, which was lovely but a little bit heavy handed with the chilli. I still managed to eat it all. The ice cream afterwards was very welcome to cool off my mouth. No complaints though as everything was lovely.
