Been hear before with friends, but my daughter and granddaughter haven't l love the place we had a lovely lunch and my daughter was very impressed so all good

Had a good Sunday lunch here, and it was pretty busy. Hence, it's quite noisy. Maybe pick a time off peak or go in the weekdays. Reasonable prices and the house Pino Grigio was very good.

Ab absolutely fabulous evening celebrating my sister in law's 60th with the family. Fabulous service, fab atmosphere and most importantly fabulous food. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Ordered from the lunch menu and had all 3 courses. Great quality, food presentation was fantastic, would definitely visit again.

Had our tea here tonight and was really nice and fully enjoyed it. We looked on the website before coming to see the happy hour was £11 but was charged more when the bill arrived and was advised the website had not been updated but because the food was lovely we are not complaining just pointing this out. Thankyou.

Great restaurant for all the family!

3 sat. Lunch menu looked promising. Tortellini ok but could do with more filling. Scallop’ Milanese was dry with no spag sugo. Fries ok. The peas with the fish and chips were delicious. The fish and chips however were a serious disappointment. Soggy like heated in a microwave from frozen. I should have sent it back. The interior and decor is stunning. Service first class. Chocolate fudge was excellent. So a mixed experience. A la carte may be better.

got a starter and pasta to take home with a pint whilst I waited £45. I drove home got changed etc then checked my food, i was given the wrong pasta. I then rang to explain to the owner as I saw he was in. A girl answered, put me on hold 4mins then said he wasn't in, he went home. Out of frustration I swore a minor word and said I will bring it back. I then got dressed again and drove there, eventually got parked. The owner approached me and said you want to speak to me, So basically he must have told staff to lie saying he wasn't in. I told him food was wrong, my starter currently getting cold at home etc He was more concerned about me using a swear word on phone! Had he of not told his staff to lie to me, and his other staff read orders properly, I would have not be provoked. I said it all about the money, you get a complaint when something goes wrong you don't want to know. He then said take your food and you are no longer welcome here! Shame, he gets the food wrong, pretends he wasn't there when I ring and complain, because I express my feeling as ruined my evening he says don't come back! I'm actually disappointed in his attitude as I was a regular customer over a lot of years. Loyalty is obviously not valued here. I have read your response to my review, you are a very funny guy, you have played with your words very carefully to make me out to be a bad guy. That's simply not true, you know what I described is true. You actually made it awkward upon my return because you expressed no apology whatsoever regarding the inconvenience. You say easily fixed, 2 drives, dressed and undressed twice, 40 mins combined time parking. pretty annoying i'd say. I did not shout and swear as you put it, multiple occasions being rude offensive and abusive is basically a bare faced lie!! I have a laugh with both your son and Mr gamble we get on very well, they have a sense of humour, I innocently suggested one of your staff was Albanian some months ago, and she took it as an insult, ever since then she avoids, and refuses to serve me, why is beyond me. I regularly visit pretty much all the restaurants in Ponteland, We all get on very well, the food is almost never wrong, if it is they apologise and replace it without having to go though any drama. Might I respectfully suggest you adopt there methods, dont twist the truth and give your customers the service and respect they deserve.

Beautiful place but food is very mid

Was nice but the service was pretty poor and food was lukewarm, as well as glasses being dirty. I expect more from Fratellis regardless of how busy they are - absolutely no excuse I'm my opinion!

Went here to celebrate Mother’s Day with my mum and grandma. Food was excellent and so was the service. They made us feel welcomed when we got into the restaurant. The food was excellent especially the confit of lamb the flavours were excellent and it was cooked to perfection.

Wonderful dinner with visiting family, superb food served in a welcoming atmosphere by very friendly and knowledgeable staff.One of my favourite photo places to eat. I have eaten here for lunches and for dinner any times. Highly recommended

Poor service and rude head waiter. We booked Sunday lunch and were initially told it was all available. Then the head waiter comes over and tells us it’s all off now - this is at 4pm. So we were stuck having to choose from the main menu. The staff were incessant with trying to take drinks orders quickly. I told them about 3x we weren’t ready. The head waiter spoke really rudely to my father when we were ordering. My steak was advertised as including onion rings - but they were missed off. When they brought them after I pointed this out they arrived all burned and incinerated. To cap it off they take £20 deposit when you book and then have the temerity to add the service charge onto the bill. Dreadful service.

Complete let down. Starter was good. Main pizza was actually inedible. Dry, over cooked no flavour. Found a bizarre stalk/twig in pizza. Waited so long for waiter to actually bring me a knife sharp enough to cut the board like pizza that it was cold. Couldn't eat it and certainly did take up the offer of box to take it home. After paying the bill and service charge 3 members of staff kept staring at me so much I had to ask if there was a problem... won't be back funnily enough.

Food is always consistently good. Best pizza garlic bread I've ever tasted. Love the new decor especially in reception area. Will always come back although because of distance may be less than I'd like.

Recommend the salmon fettuccini and the house Shiraz. Quick service. The waiter Oscar was brilliant.

Absolutely terrible fish was so overdone in batter I couldn't taste fish left it ,,, It was two thin pieces made to look like on piece, as for chips all 5 were soggy need I say more and didn't get my starter I ordered , but was made to pay for it. Friends also were unimpressed but top prices paid, I would not eat there ever, avoid!!!

Disappointing service....arrived due to traffic 10mins late @8.10 kitchen closed apparently (at 8 PM !!) no flexibility at all just turned away - no wonder hospitality industry has a hard time - just won't return. That's the difference between an owner operated restaurant and a managed one. Went to Rialto instead -a world of difference.

We went on a Friday night. Explained we only had a short time and they managed to accommodate us. Quick service. Food was really good. Highly recommend

Great place to eat in Ponteland, car park next door is free to customers, buzzing atmosphere inside and staff are on the ball and really helpful.

New Year's Eve celebrations were spent in Fratelli, Ponteland and so pleased we did! A couple of drinks in village and then settled down to our table for the night to see in the NY with fireworks on the balcony. The atmosphere inside was electric when we entered which was great and we had been allocated a great table in the private area (didn't ask for it). The table was well decorated with balloons and hats and streamers which was a welcome surprise. Service was first class and staff were so busy but very prompt. The food was delicious, steaks and fries a little overdone, but they were still devoured. Great music in background and atmosphere was perfect. Fabricio or 'FAB' and his team were 'FAB', well done and thanks for a great night!

I was looking forward to this visit, but we had a table for 6. The brushetta was so hard on the crust we couldn't eat it. 2 calzone were black burnt on the top, 1 vegatarian pizza was Luke warm and the veg on top was raw. The young lady serving our table never smiled or had conversation once. Then the service charge, really?

I prefer to have a Pizza when I eat here because they're great and good value. Drinks are abut pricey, especially soft drinks but staff are attentive and pleasant.

Called in before dropping off at the airport, fantastic place, lovely food, helpful staff and looked lovely, I was pleasantly surprised as didn't expect it to be so nice and surprising busy, would definitely go back.

We visited on a Friday night and the room was buzzing. Huge space with lots of table options. Friendly staff, attentive and very flexible with menu tweaks. Large pizza’s , extensive menu.. Good place for a celebration.

I always enjoy myself when I come here. The food is consistently delicious and generous in portion size; the gamberoni all’aglio antipasti is especially nice. The ambiance is lovely and it’s fantastic to sit on the terrace in the summer. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They also make a mean raspberry mojito! Love to visit on special occasions, birthdays, celebrations and will continue to do so as every time is a pleasure.

Driving back to Newcastle Airport for Southampton, stopped for lunch with our friends. Service, food and drinks excellent. Definitely stop again next time. Highly Recommended.

Have thought long and hard before posting this review as have been coming to Fratelli’s regularly since it opened and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Came last Sunday (3rd) for lunch. We waited quite some time for the food to come which didn’t matter as we knew it would be worth waiting for. We were wrong. Food wasn’t hot. Pork was beyond fatty, I felt more went back to the kitchen than came out. No crackling but some limp skin. Veg was obviously frozen as waterlogged. Some new staff and they looked decidedly underwhelmed to be there, glasses not cleared away and we had to get up and go to the bar to ask for drinks. This isn’t a problem but would never have happened when previous managers were there. I really don’t feel the need to return any time soon when there are other places to try. So disappointed that our favourite restaurant has become our least favourite. Seems like they just couldn’t be bothered. £30 per head for virtually inedible food. I didn’t make a fuss at the time as we were treating my elderly dad and he would have felt bad but should have been obvious from what was left on the plates that all wasn’t well.

I visited with my dad on a Sunday - we hadn’t booked but they got us a lovely table anyway. The atmosphere was really nice. Food was excellent. Really good calamari. The smoked salmon started was lovely if a bit too generous in portion size. Mains were excellent. The chicken Milanese (they had a different name but essentially breaded chicken) came with a suace as it should be served! We’d recently been in zizzi and found the Milanese dry as it had no sauce. Staff were lovely too! Very good first time experience and we will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed the good service here but there’s always a but when we’ve eaten here… It’s not obvious that the steak dishes and meats in same section of the menu, don’t come with chips. We asked so it was fine but another table were angry when his steak order arrived chipless! My friend ordered a chicken dish and they forgot her onion rings, we didn’t realise until the next day and were annoyed that we’d paid the 10% service charge. We notice that the food is really salty, more than it should be. In this day and age, they should use less salt!

Midweek family meal. Quick service, but enough time in between courses. Food served hot, empty plates and even managed 3 Courses 🐷 Delicious food, although I have eaten tastier lemon cheescake. Quite busy for midweek, staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

Food was gorgeous came to us very fresh and exceptionally quick. On top of that the staff were spot on, they were; Very polite, friendly and so accommodating. Will definitely be returning here.

My 1st visit here for a Friday night takeaway, very nearly went to the well known franchise about 3 miles away. I mean, how good can a takeaway pizza be…. WELL, let’s put it this way, it couldn’t have been better. By far the best takeaway pizza ever and I’m oldish 🤣, but just like you get in Italy, thin crust, lashings of the mist beautiful tomato sauce with patches of buffalo mozzarella, plenty of chicken, mushroom and garlic toppings. This is going to have to be a regular occurrence and the inside of the restaurant is calling me for a visit soon. Amazing! Mmmmmmm

Went with the family for a Sunday lunch, I tried the beef which was cooked to perfection and very tender (others on table got lamb, chicken and pork and spoke highly of all three). The portions were very generous with enough t meat to go well with the giant Yorkshire pudding, pot of gravy, roast potatoes and veg. Service was excellent, the place itself is very tidy and smart looking. Highly recommend and will be returning to try other items on the menu

Came here pre flights from Newcastle. Large restaurant with ample parking. Service was great and staff were attentive. We opted for the 2 course special. Starters were huge and tasty (all 3). My main was a little bland, so didn’t finish it (pasta with courgette...

Food almost took 2 hours, and the "paella" was sloppy and calzone burnt.

Never write a review but just had to for this place! A lovely find while passing through Ponteland. Great value lunch, everything was delicious and the staff were all lovely, great service. Wish we lived closer so we could go more often!

Awful experience again and again. The food has been on a downward spiral for months now. There are much better pizza and pasta from your local takeaway than you do in this poor establishment. I’m highly disappointed by the lack of quality. Your chefs are lacking in either passion or experience. Please just get some real chefs in, as I will never spend a penny in this place until fresh mussels are cooked and not dried up lumps Save you money and go to francesca pizzeria in jesmond for a better service and better chefs cooking your meals. Note: service charge should be discretionary not included in your bill, this is just a rip off.

Booked for our 1st Sunday dinner but not 1st visit. It was quiet so not sure I needed to book but I prefer to. The staff and service was exceptional from the moment we walked through the doors. We were made to feel as if we were round a friends house one Sunday. The chicken Sunday dinner was the best I've had and the lemon cheesecake(,posher on the menu) was to die for. I hope the 10% service charge goes straight to the staff as they deserve it.

It was okay, went early on a Saturday night. Food was okay, nothing special. Though pizza was lacking a bit in sauce on the base. Staff were a bit indifferent, didn't really interact much.

Really enjoyed this meal a few weeks back. The service was good and the pasta was fantastic. My kids enjoyed the kids menu and I got pizza envy when I saw them landing on another table. Will be back

Myself and my partner came for a meal at 5.30 last night and we had a fantastic time! Service was amazing, staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious, hot and great portion size. We opted for the happy hour menu with prices starting from £10- great value for money. Special mention to Rachel and Rocco who were our servers. Went out of their way to make our evening! And even laughed at my silly joke about the 'aforgotto' And peppe who has been there so long still working hard. Well done all!!

My family and I were here for lunch with a good family friend. As with our last visit the service was impeccable. The food was unbelievably good. We had pizza’s and risottos. The food was unbelievable and the staff were well above the standard of most other places. Well done!

A bustling busy restaurant and rightly so the Sunday lunch was one of the best I've had for a long time. Plenty of meat, veg and a giant Yorkshire pudding 😋

This is a busy restaurant popular for parties. It's been a year since we last went and unfortunately the quality has gone down. The Fritto Misto was greasy, the base on the pizza has become thicker. The service was fine

It has been a long time since I was last at Fratelli we called in on the hope of getting a table. The staff were very accommodating and found us a table. The food was very good. I would have given a five star review if it had not been an added service charge on the bill I believe that giving a tip is discretionary and should not be on the bill

Great experience. Such accommodating staff after a botched the initial booking. Able to take in a large party (18 people) at short notice for a family reunion. Lovely food, served promptly (even on a busy Saturday evening), and charming staff. Can't recommend too highly. Score 12 out of 10 if I could.

Was really looking forward to going for lunch today but was sadly disappointed. We ordered the calamari for start which was lovely and the antipasto for two was also really really nice. Sadly, the soup was unbelievably salty and we found a hair in the sunday dinner. I was a bit disappointed by the atmosphere too. I dont know whether it was the lack of background music or the fact that the restaurant wasn't full but there was just something missing. It definitely didn't have that nice welcoming feel to it.

My absolute favourite restaurant 😋 We had a lovely meal. We had the chicken and pesto pasta with pinenuts (can't remember the name of the dish)! The service was great, as was the atmosphere. Thanks 🥰

Lovely afternoon on theyr terrace.

On Friday June 2nd. I ordered Saltambocca a la Romana. The veal was very tough a sure sign of cooking too long and too fast. A big question mark now hangs over the competence of the chef and I shall hesitate to recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Excellent place for our family get togethers.

Power went out before we could put in our mains order due to some citywide glitch, but our meatball appetizer was delicious and so were our drinks. Service was fantastic. They kept us informed and ultimately they even gave us a carton of milk to take for the baby since the Sainsbury's power was out and we weren't going to be able to pick any up for her like we planned. Lovely place with lovely people! The menu for mains looked amazing so hopefully on our next trip to the North we'll be able to stop by again and eat more.

Very disappointed pizza. Soggy , raw calzone. Cooked in a rush and not worth the £200 paid. Didn't complain on the night as was daughter's 21st. Shame as starters were good.
