India was incredible! Food was amazing too! Definitely would recommend for anyone looking for authentic Italian food in the area!

This is the 3rd time I've ordered a takeaway from Fratelli's and they have got the order wrong!! How hard is it not to put mushrooms on a pizza! Also the pizza was stone cold when I collected it! Called back to complain and the girl on the other end of the phone didn't have a clue! The sad thing is, the food is nice from there, but their service is poor, and as mentioned above they can never get your order right!

Went for a meal with my parents on Friday night. It was a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere by all staff. Our waitress was India who was very attentive and very friendly. The food was amazing and the prices were reasonable too.

Fantastic service. Fantastic food. We went to celebrate our engagement and it was out first time going for lunch rather than the evening, so was a much calmer atmosphere but still lovely, our server India was brilliant! Very attentive and friendly, couldn’t have offered any better service she was superb! We hope she is there for our next visit :)

Loved it. Don't let the fact it's above a local Sainsbury's, it's beautifully decorated, the food is superb, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is buzzing.

Came with a friend who recommended this restaurant as its one of her local favourites. Was very impressed with the interior and atmosphere, very nice dining experience! We went on a Friday evening and had booked a table on the outside terrace which was very nice but a little windy so we asked to move inside which they only had space in the “bar area” to my surprise it was lovely, actually quieter in the bar area than the restaurant. We did the half and half sharer pizza/pasta. The food was good, nothing jaw dropping for the price but it was a nice good quality meal. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Such a shame. A beautiful place and the staff are very welcoming with open arms. Unfortunately the food was very poor and tasteless. Could have gotten better pizza from Sainsburys downstairs.

Ordered bruschette to share, followed by sea bass and prawns and my wife had tuna fish. Just fantastic ! Great service as ever!

Beautiful surroundings. Lively restaurant. Food to die for. Highly recommend the belly pork for mains. So tender with crispy rind and the Eton mess for dessert was so scrumpy. Lots of delicious fruits and the mascaponi was so smooth. Can't wait to return x

Excellent service at fratellis. My son has special needs and he was a little bit loud and unsettled when we first arrived but the staff were brilliant with him. Nothing was any problem and they really helped me feel welcome. Food was amazing. The staff are brilliant and soo accommodating. I was very stressed that my son was a distraction to the other diners but I was reassured by the staff several times not to worry. I can’t thank them enough for my experience

Always the best place to go in Ponteland by far. The food is always amazing and the atmosphere although busy is always very pleasant! Without a doubt my favourite restaurant!

I visited Fratellis for Sunday lunch with my mum who is 90. I wasn't hopeful as I have never had a Sunday lunch in a restaurant that has ever been better than my home cooked one. I was literally blown away by the standard of the roast dinner, it was delicious, roast pork with amazing crackling and all the trimmings. Honestly, it was better than my own!

Great casual Monday night tea, greeted and sat down immediately. We were looked after by India who was so lovely and attentive! She made our evening by looking after us so well. Food was amazing and brought home the left overs

Great Italian restaurant.. good food.

Our first visit and sadly we were Very Disappointed in the sharing board presented to us Antipasto Di Terre £27:50 no thought or love gone into making it!!!! The cracker flat-bread just dIsintegrated it resembled chewing cardboard I could do better by far myself how difficult is it to make a platter sharing board I’m laughing loudly. No selection of cheeses one small portion of soft cheese that was (gunky) hard to spread and four triangles of the same cheese. Gotta say Tesco’s Italian Finest Platter is superior for the value of £6:00 Assistant manager Nick needs to brush up on his customer service skills, he is definitely not a people’s person he did take 50% off the food bill but sadly his attitude made matters worse. We will not recommend nor ever return.

We had 2 most enjoyable evenings at Fratellis restaurant. We were holidaying in the area and liked it that much we visited twice in 5 days.

We arrived at 8:08 pm for our 8:00pm reservation for dinner as we got stuck in the rain with no umbrellas, stopping briefly to take cover. A local family wanted to take us to the restaurant as we were visiting from abroad. We were met with an aggressive rude man (I won’t say gentleman) who was shouting that we must order by 8:15 as “he can’t keep the restaurant open for us!” Why take an 8pm reservation then? We would have gladly complied with his request had he been polite. He was waving his arms about and saying it’s all very clear online !!! Problem is when booking they hadn’t seen the online information. We left the restaurant and found a wonderful Italian place called Bawn a few doors down that was amazing and the service impeccable! I would give Fratelli a big miss!

My husband and I had a meal here last night on the roof terrace and we had the most amazing experience. The food was exceptional, I had pasta and my husband had pizza, both were outstanding. The service was amazing with one person in particular Rocco who was very attentive, friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend.

First time we've been in a while, the food is still lovely but there was no real atmosphere which was a shame.

I've just been in the establishment to use the toilet and was absolutely amazed by how clean they are with a quick friendly interaction with the staff (not the toilet) definitely recommend!

Can't wait to go back! Best Italian in the UK! Phenomenal staff and wonderful atmosphere.

Visually a lovely place to eat, staff were attentive and pleasant and the cocktails were amazing. The food however was a different story. Calamari starter, cut too small so all you tasted was batter. Main course risotto, the worst I’ve ever had, no seasoning, stock or flavour, white rice and seafood. My husband had lasagne, he said it tasted like a ready meal from a supermarket. Other members of the party weren’t impressed either with their choices but said they were ok and we left disappointed. The people on the next table had pizzas which looked really good, so maybe a good place to go for pizza.

Had a good Sunday lunch here, and it was pretty busy. Hence, it's quite noisy. Maybe pick a time off peak or go in the weekdays. Reasonable prices and the house Pino Grigio was very good.

Had our tea here tonight and was really nice and fully enjoyed it. We looked on the website before coming to see the happy hour was £11 but was charged more when the bill arrived and was advised the website had not been updated but because the food was lovely we are not complaining just pointing this out. Ordered from the lunch menu and had all 3 courses. Great quality, food presentation was fantastic, would definitely visit again.

3 sat. Lunch menu looked promising. Tortellini ok but could do with more filling. Scallop’ Milanese was dry with no spag sugo. Fries ok. The peas with the fish and chips were delicious. The fish and chips however were a serious disappointment. Soggy like heated in a microwave from frozen. I should have sent it back. The interior and decor is stunning. Service first class. Chocolate fudge was excellent. So a mixed experience. A la carte may be better.

Was nice but the service was pretty poor and food was lukewarm, as well as glasses being dirty. I expect more from Fratellis regardless of how busy they are - absolutely no excuse I'm my opinion!

Went here to celebrate Mother’s Day with my mum and grandma. Food was excellent and so was the service. They made us feel welcomed when we got into the restaurant. The food was excellent especially the confit of lamb the flavours were excellent and it was cooked to perfection.

Poor service and rude head waiter. We booked Sunday lunch and were initially told it was all available. Then the head waiter comes over and tells us it’s all off now - this is at 4pm. So we were stuck having to choose from the main menu. The staff were incessant with trying to take drinks orders quickly. I told them about 3x we weren’t ready. The head waiter spoke really rudely to my father when we were ordering. My steak was advertised as including onion rings - but they were missed off. When they brought them after I pointed this out they arrived all burned and incinerated. To cap it off they take £20 deposit when you book and then have the temerity to add the service charge onto the bill. Dreadful service.

Complete let down. Starter was good. Main pizza was actually inedible. Dry, over cooked no flavour. Found a bizarre stalk/twig in pizza. Waited so long for waiter to actually bring me a knife sharp enough to cut the board like pizza that it was cold. Couldn't eat it and certainly did take up the offer of box to take it home. After paying the bill and service charge 3 members of staff kept staring at me so much I had to ask if there was a problem... won't be back funnily enough.

Absolutely terrible fish was so overdone in batter I couldn't taste fish left it ,,, It was two thin pieces made to look like on piece, as for chips all 5 were soggy need I say more and didn't get my starter I ordered , but was made to pay for it. Friends also were unimpressed but top prices paid, I would not eat there ever, avoid!!!

Food is always consistently good. Best pizza garlic bread I've ever tasted. Love the new decor especially in reception area. Will always come back although because of distance may be less than I'd like.

Recommend the salmon fettuccini and the house Shiraz. Quick service. The waiter Oscar was brilliant.

Disappointing service....arrived due to traffic 10mins late @8.10 kitchen closed apparently (at 8 PM !!) no flexibility at all just turned away - no wonder hospitality industry has a hard time - just won't return. That's the difference between an owner operated restaurant and a managed one. Went to Rialto instead -a world of difference.

Great place to eat in Ponteland, car park next door is free to customers, buzzing atmosphere inside and staff are on the ball and really helpful.

New Year's Eve celebrations were spent in Fratelli, Ponteland and so pleased we did! A couple of drinks in village and then settled down to our table for the night to see in the NY with fireworks on the balcony. The atmosphere inside was electric when we entered which was great and we had been allocated a great table in the private area (didn't ask for it). The table was well decorated with balloons and hats and streamers which was a welcome surprise. Service was first class and staff were so busy but very prompt. The food was delicious, steaks and fries a little overdone, but they were still devoured. Great music in background and atmosphere was perfect. Fabricio or 'FAB' and his team were 'FAB', well done and thanks for a great night!

I was looking forward to this visit, but we had a table for 6. The brushetta was so hard on the crust we couldn't eat it. 2 calzone were black burnt on the top, 1 vegatarian pizza was Luke warm and the veg on top was raw. The young lady serving our table never smiled or had conversation once. Then the service charge, really?

I prefer to have a Pizza when I eat here because they're great and good value. Drinks are abut pricey, especially soft drinks but staff are attentive and pleasant.

Called in before dropping off at the airport, fantastic place, lovely food, helpful staff and looked lovely, I was pleasantly surprised as didn't expect it to be so nice and surprising busy, would definitely go back.

We visited on a Friday night and the room was buzzing. Huge space with lots of table options. Friendly staff, attentive and very flexible with menu tweaks. Large pizza’s , extensive menu.. Good place for a celebration.

I always enjoy myself when I come here. The food is consistently delicious and generous in portion size; the gamberoni all’aglio antipasti is especially nice. The ambiance is lovely and it’s fantastic to sit on the terrace in the summer. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They also make a mean raspberry mojito! Love to visit on special occasions, birthdays, celebrations and will continue to do so as every time is a pleasure.

Driving back to Newcastle Airport for Southampton, stopped for lunch with our friends. Service, food and drinks excellent. Definitely stop again next time. Highly Recommended.

Have thought long and hard before posting this review as have been coming to Fratelli’s regularly since it opened and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Came last Sunday (3rd) for lunch. We waited quite some time for the food to come which didn’t matter as we knew it would be worth waiting for. We were wrong. Food wasn’t hot. Pork was beyond fatty, I felt more went back to the kitchen than came out. No crackling but some limp skin. Veg was obviously frozen as waterlogged. Some new staff and they looked decidedly underwhelmed to be there, glasses not cleared away and we had to get up and go to the bar to ask for drinks. This isn’t a problem but would never have happened when previous managers were there. I really don’t feel the need to return any time soon when there are other places to try. So disappointed that our favourite restaurant has become our least favourite. Seems like they just couldn’t be bothered. £30 per head for virtually inedible food. I didn’t make a fuss at the time as we were treating my elderly dad and he would have felt bad but should have been obvious from what was left on the plates that all wasn’t well.

I visited with my dad on a Sunday - we hadn’t booked but they got us a lovely table anyway. The atmosphere was really nice. Food was excellent. Really good calamari. The smoked salmon started was lovely if a bit too generous in portion size. Mains were excellent. The chicken Milanese (they had a different name but essentially breaded chicken) came with a suace as it should be served! We’d recently been in zizzi and found the Milanese dry as it had no sauce. Staff were lovely too! Very good first time experience and we will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed the good service here but there’s always a but when we’ve eaten here… It’s not obvious that the steak dishes and meats in same section of the menu, don’t come with chips. We asked so it was fine but another table were angry when his steak order arrived chipless! My friend ordered a chicken dish and they forgot her onion rings, we didn’t realise until the next day and were annoyed that we’d paid the 10% service charge. We notice that the food is really salty, more than it should be. In this day and age, they should use less salt!

Midweek family meal. Quick service, but enough time in between courses. Food served hot, empty plates and even managed 3 Courses 🐷 Delicious food, although I have eaten tastier lemon cheescake. Quite busy for midweek, staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

Food was gorgeous came to us very fresh and exceptionally quick. On top of that the staff were spot on, they were; Very polite, friendly and so accommodating. Will definitely be returning here.
