The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Ive wanted to eat here for a while as we drive past weekly to the secondary school. We booked a table for our anniversary and it was our first time visiting here. We were greeted when we walked inside and seated straight away. Our food came to the table around 10 minutes after ordering which was fab. My partner had the bolognese and garlic bread and i chose a pizza with a side of homemade chips. All food was thoroughly enjoyed and reasonably priced. The young girl serving was professional and polite as was the man behind the bar (maybe the owner but unsure). I couldn’t fault anything, it’s beautifully decorated inside and has car parking to the rear of the building. We would definitely return here.

We had been recommended to try this restaurant, so we tried it. Our first indication that this might not have been a good choice was that no one ever came to our table to begin the service! Everything was on us, from ordering drinks, food, dessert menu or the check. We never received any water or were asked if we wanted anything. Now we did see a glimmer of hope from some of the staff, but one waitress seemed like she would rather be somewhere else. It was like it was the first night they had been open and no one knew what to do. Now it was not all bad, as the food was good, plenty of it and at a fair price. Proceed with caution and definitely be assertive with the staff!!!

Great welcome and service not the food terrible. No taste no presentation I had spinach ravioli would have been nice to have more than one leaf of spinach! Sorry will not be back, staff great but food terrible.

No me gustan los helados, pero esto estuvo bien. Es caro, pero vale la pena. Hay un montón de opciones, incluyendo regalos de chocolate también y apilan bien las cucharadas de helado. Personal muy profesional.

Stopped in as doing a Lambeth walking tour. Great coffee and lovely service, made us very welcome

Simplemente delicioso. Platos súper sabrosos, porciones grandes y un personal amable maravilloso. Tercera vez visitando y en todo caso, se pone mejor cada vez.

El mejor restaurante italiano en Sheffield. Comida siempre fabulosa, personal amable, buen ambiente y buenos precios. Tuvimos otra noche encantadora y no puedo esperar a volver.

Came here for a birthday meal with family, i can’t speak on everyone’s behalf but most of us agreed the main course was very mid. a couple of us got the funghi spaghetti which was advertised as a creamy sauce and mushrooms, but it was definitely more of a spaghetti bolognaise minus everything but pasta and mushrooms, really dead and misleading meal tbh. the pizza my partner got was very mid, the quality of the food just isn’t there. this restraunt looks nice but the food doesn’t match. the desserts were very crap too. the “home made cookie dough” was very sugary, you could literally taste and feel the sugar granules, so very sickly that even though me and my partner shared one, we couldn’t finish it, and i hate wasting food. the servers are very nice, just wish the food was too.

En Chelsea, uno esperaría pagar por encima de las probabilidades por pasajes mediocres. No así en L'antico. El Carbonara era perfecto, justo como debería ser. Los espaguetis estaban vestidos, no ahogados en salsa. Y todo en las oficinas que no esperarías encontrar en Londres. Muy recomendable.

Great food at reasonable prices. The service was good and the food menu had good options for Italian style food. Highly recommend

Un italiano pequeño maravillosamente cálido y acogedor perfecto para la noche de citas. Vinimos aquí para una celebración de cumpleaños y nos encontramos con personal amable y servicial. Solicitamos una ‘mesa superior’ al hacer la reserva para asegurarnos de que podíamos tener uno, y sin duda valió la pena por la novedad! Ambos comimos pizzas y estaban deliciosos, a un precio increíblemente razonable para la zona, también (especialmente teniendo en cuenta las mesas de novedades están obligados a atraer a un montón de clientes! ).

My family and I ordered some pizzas and sides and they had put meat on all of our vegetarian pizzas, they refused to change or refund the food and were very rude and unprofessional about it!!. Just to top it off the pot of sauce that came with a side was visibly used.

Went for a bottomless brunch. Great value for money, good food and drink and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back and would recommend to anyone thinking of going. Venue was also great and very welcoming.
