OK were a little disappointed with the scampi and my husband with the pasta

Always a lovely meal here, food is delish!!! 😍😋

Booked several days in advance. Seated right by the entrance, so every time the door opened we were hit with cold air. People waiting for collections, waiting to be seated or served were leaning against our table and even resting their drinks on it (there was no where else for them to wait). We could not hear each other talk due to loud music and the hustle and bustle of being seated in what would be a waiting area in other restaurants. We could not gain the attention of staff as we were hidden by groups of people waiting to be seated, so waited awhile for our food order and only managed to order one round of drinks. Only vegan option is a veg pasta and menu states not all ingredients are listed on dishes, which is concerning for those with allergies.

Nice little place.great service.foid came out hot and quick.starter did not have much taste but nice and the carbonate was nice but too much black pepper in it.

Came for a family meal, had a table booked however sat for 30 minutes before a drink order was taken. A further 30 minutes went by and still not taken a food order yet the walk in table who came in at the same time were on to mains. Freezing cold and very loud! Called another local restaurant and went there instead.

We booked last minute, a table for two and we were accommodated. The service was fantastic, we were offered drinks immediately and the staff were very attentive. We had a starter - just a garlic bread but it was delicious and then our meals arrived. Escalope Zacharoffe and pizza. The food was delicious and plentiful. Excellent experience. We would recommend!

Waited at the door entrance for ten mins feeling awkward no one even greeted us or said anything. Sat for 20mins and they never even came and asked us if we wanted a drink so we got up and walked out. Very poor service. Far too loud in there too. People shouting over the loud music. Would not recommend this place. Also cold room

Updated Dec 2023 Booked to go in later the same day. Had to wait a little while when we arrived but were able to get drinks while we waited. Clearly a very busy night with lots of big groups. The service was very friendly and the food was quick but very tasty. Only suggestion would be to perhaps turn the music down a little. Original review Collected a takeaway. Great value. The food was great too.

Came today for a proper Teesside parmo as the ones near me aren’t good. It was absolutely beautiful, can’t fault the food at all. Service was good but the restaurant itself was freezing which wasn’t ideal.

Decent quality food there is nowhere else in redcar so they haven't got any competition

Just had a lovely lunch here today , lasagne and pizza both so tasty , lovely service , we will be back. Lager lovely and chilled , also the wine , too full for dessert

I would never choose this place as a go to place for anything. I only end up here for social gatherings and never out of choice, all I can say is its ok. The food is ok, drinks are ok. Nothing to get excited about. Unfortunately the service is very slow, music is deafening. They play a happy birthday song twice as loud as background music if people are there celebrating a birthday however that is literally all they do It happened when i was there and it just seemed like they knocked the volume up for one of there fave songs, nothing accompanied with the ridiculously loud birthday song. Couldn't even tell it was anyones birthday from the atmosphere of the room. Overall, central park redcar is outdated, over rated and I'm surprised its outlived other eateries that no longer exist.

I was invited here with family for a birthday. I was really disappointed with the options they have for vegan or dairy free customers. No vegan starters available and only one main meal to choose from which was a veggie pasta dish. It was edible but nothing special and a pasta dish is not something I'd usually go for and it cost £9.95. Please think about evolving the menu, it's 2023 and I've been vegan for 2.5 years this has to be the only restaurant I've been to with family and friends where I have had such little choice. The decor is pretty and the staff seemed friendly, please just broaden the menu to cater for more people. 😊

We went here to celebrate my sons 16th birthday (his choice) , we booked the table with ease . When we arrived it was quite chilly outside, so we were all looking forward to getting into the warmth . Unfortunately the restaurant was freezing, to the point I was wearing gloves at the table throughout the whole meal , I have raynauds syndrome so really feel the cold especially on my hands and feet . Initially I thought it was just me but all of us were freezing, my dad even wore a scarf throughout the whole meal . It was uncomfortably cold . We spent well over £200 but it was ruined by the uncomfortable atmosphere, even one of the waitresses said she was freezing too . I understand the cost involved with gas / electricity but the customers shouldn’t suffer , when you go out for a meal especially somewhere that’s not that cheap , the least you expect is to be able to remove your coat and gloves indoors. Food was lovely just too cold to enjoy, so I ended up bringing my meal home where I could eat it without gloves on .

Went out for some tea with the some friends. Absolutely brilliant place. Never visited Central Park before but definitely go back. The food was so fresh and tasty. The staff were on point And very professional! Thank you so much.

Ordered pâté and the cajun salmon. Pate was lovely and plenty of it, and wow the salmon was cooked perfectly and beautiful seasoned! Fancied trying something different and this defiantly hit the spot !! Only downfall is we didn’t receive our drinks until we were half way finished with our starters … but the food was lush so well done!

Food was average. Meal spoiled by the fact the place was uncomfortably cold and draughty. Radiators all cold despite it being one of the coldest evenings of the year in mid January. Most tables were occupied but many diners, like us had no option but to wear our coats while eating which isn't acceptable. Some of the waiting staff were surly and unhelpful when approached about the issue. Won't be rushing back.

Really poor service, seem only interested in the phone takeaway orders. We were stood in the queue awaiting to be seated and were told we'd missed out sitting. Granted we were 5 minutes late to arrive. They later seated us. We were then left waiting 40 minutes to order our food. Crazy, at one point we contemplated ringing our order in. Food was fine, shame the service let the experience down.

Up untill about a year ago I had never set foot in this place but now I am a regular. Food is spot on, staff are hard working and prices are sensible. You also get a good atmosphere.

First time visit for me and would recommend going there, garlic mushrooms was an excellent starter, and the chicken pasta meal for main was so filling that we couldn't eat it all, very generous portions,

Small but busy Italian restaurant - good food, good choice of drinks and service is good

Too loud and a bit cramped inside. Food wasn't bad but because the waiters are so busy they are a bit abrupt with you for your order or when serving. It was a Saturday evening. They were also out of stock of a few foods and drink items. Very little vegetarian options on the menu.

The steak was really good. Service was poor my pint was cloudy and disgusting the lady was very rude when I asked for a new pint.

Very good service and lovely food

Menu very basic, always a rush to get you out of the place. Taking your plates and cups away as soon as possible, hounding you asking if you want the bill and asking if they can take your food away (sometimes when still eating) Will sweep around you even when it’s far from closing time- quite uncomfortable. I’d rather spend my money else where on good quality food.

It’s ok, but not memorable. The food comes out a little too quick, and it’s mediocre at best, like school dinners, ok but not great. Feel rushed to pay the bill and go quickly. It’s all about feed them, get their money then Chuck them out. Could be so much better…

Went for my brothers birthday, brilliant service with polite staff, excellent food, we all had different things and nothing was messed up and it came fairly quickly too, also very cheap, there was 8 of us all with starters mains and (maybe a few too many) alcoholic drinks and it cost us less than £200. Would definitely go back again :)

They fit us a reservation of 19 for Easter Friday, which was great. whilst they couldn't guarantee gluten free due to kitchen size, they did their best to get me a gluten safe food of chicken and jacket potato, which was simple but delicious and can report there were no issues after. My family had parmos and fajitas, mussles and prawn salads which all looked great. They do a deal where you get two cocktails for a tenner if you order the same cocktails I had two frozen strawberry daquries which were nice but I don't think they were worth it. Wish I got the bigger ones because I'm so tight 😂 Food and drink came out quite staggered and there was a wait to be seated and for the drinks to come, but considering the busy night of Easter Friday I can expect it. The atmosphere is nice and the seating was just spaced enough to be comfortable. Didn't feel squeezed in. They take five pounds for reservations which they give back on the bill per meal, but if someone doesn't come and you don't cancel in time they'll keep the reservation which is fair. All in all I liked this place despite not being gluten free, they still made an effort to make sure I didn't go home hungry. Will definitely go back.

Allways top draw food and service

Went here tuesday 15th march and are regular visitors but on this visit it was a disaster, We took our seats and waited to be served in the meantime the restaurant was starting to fill up and a number of tables near us arrived around 15/20 minutes after us plus a table of over 10 people who looked like were celebrating a birthday, our drink order was taken afte 15 minutes then a further 15 minutes we were told by the waitress that there was a problem with the fyers tripping and she would take our food order shortly, in the meantime one of the table next to us another waiitress obviously knew the people and was busy chatting away to them for 20 mins and took their order. Our waitress eventually took our order and 2 other tables orders near to us after nearly 1 hour. In the meantime the Table the waitress was chatting to had received their starters and we were told that ours would be delayed again and then not long after the other Table received their mains so that was the final straw and we left along with the large group and 2 other tables so I guess the waitress who had favoured her mates must have cost the restaurant well over £300.

Nice dinner with family , I appreciate the attention to my allergy , lovely service. Thank you , we will be back :)

Spot on food, very quick ticket times and reasonable prices!

Visited 5th Feb on the evening. Parmo was excellent quality. Would have been nice to have an ipa on tap but wasn't really there for the drink. Service was slightly slow as well but they were very busy and I can only imagine how hard it is working in hospitality right now with sickness etc. Will definitely be back and highly recommend

Booked a table for tea time, the place was almost full when we got there. Staff were really busy but we were seated swiftly. Food was well cooked and really enjoyable and reasonablely priced too.

Food was good however felt pressured to pay bill everytime ordered anything made to feel like running away! Ladies toilets absolutely disgusting first toilets to the left full of excrement didn’t flush non of toilets did won’t be returning 🤷‍♀️

Lovely Venu and lovely food, staff are spot on too, really professional but very friendly, what more can you ask for. We'll be back.

I had the fajitas tonight it was lovely and a good portion size, i will definitely be ordering them again, service was really good, my order was ready when they said it would be, staff were lovely and very polite, i would highly recommend.

Refused a table at 8.30pm .waitresses looked me and the wife up and down and said stop serving food. Shocking. Business must be good.

Food was nice, however its a small room and you feel like you are claustrophobic , this made me uncomfortable.

Nice food - Menu a mix of Italian and other kitchen - not made to feel welcome trying to get food on a Satur at 9.15 pm seemed to be too much to ask of the fro t of house

Despite an incredibly busy night the staff were calm, efficient and very helpful.

Been twice now food good but each time we have been and asked for fillet steak they don’t have any. Told each time sold out well why don’t they buy enough.

Have been using central park since it opened and can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. The food is five star and the staff are outstanding

The food was absolutely lovely, the prices were really good too. The staff however seemed to be timed on how quickly they could get you finished and out. There were pen taps while waiting to take orders, the plates were taken while you were still chewing your last mouthful, the bill was brought while my child was still eating pudding, the card machine very quickly followed, I commented about the rushing and was ignored. I would recommend for food and prices however not for staff or service.

Central Park Redcar is a hidden gem of a place in Teesside. The food is excellent, the staff and owners are wonderful and the resteraunt atmosphere is the envy of the town. Another great family night out last night but if you fancy something more intimate they will get you a table in the corner and you will not be disappointed. Our whole family love this place and are over the moon it is still here after the lochdown….

I visited Central Park last night with my family for a Birthday meal, this is not my first time to this restaurant and ever single time I come, the quality of the food is of a high standard each time. Very quick table service, great and friendly staff, the chef is great. Hats off to you all and I can't wait to come back again for ANOTHER gorgeous steak. In relation to people saying this is not Covid safe, I seen every member of staff working hard to ensure tables were cleaned as soon as customers had finished and left; including all the seating areas, the tables are separated, there's glass partitions, there were hand sanitizers, menus were all taken away and binned once used, all the staff wore proper PPE, we weren't allowed to stand at the bar for drinks it was all served to our table. I am not quite sure what more they're meant to do. If people are that bothered about Covid, don't be eating out and trying to Tarnish a hard working business!

Visited recently with family. Very good service and very reasonably priced. We had a few starters to share all very good. Been a parmo virgin i decided it was time to take the plunge. Everyone enjoyed the food although i dont think parmo is for me. Owner popped out a few times for a chat. Very funny man. Worth a visit if in redcar.

Lasagne had far to much tomato in, all you could taste was tomato it just overpowered everything else.

Absolutely amazing food and service it’s the best restaurant in town, they bend over backwards to accommodate. All the staff adhering to regulations regarding Covid, they were extremely professional and ensured all of the customers were seated safely. I don’t think anyone could question the professionalism and integrity of these guys, they always putting the customers first. Well done guys for being so amazing during such a testing time 5*

Not impressed. Food rather expensive - all dips and sauces are extra. Example: a surcharge for jalapenos.. it soon adds up.. Really soggy chips. Impossible to hold a conversation due to loud music (who even remembers Jamiroquai ?) and loud, echoey nature of room. Positives: Portion sizes quite large. Food arrived very quickly, and service was decent enough.

I use to work at Central Park when I was 18. I now live down south and on a recent summer visit my family and I went for dinner on a Thursday at 6pm. We booked a table for 7 people including 2 children aged 9 and 12. The food is still very good value for money and delicious. My children had main meals from the main menus and found them filling. We ordered 4 steaks, 2 fillets and 2 sirloins, all cooked perfectly. The restaurant was busy and service was good.

Great food, great service and good value for money.

We came to Central Park and we were sat around the bar area near open doors and immediately noticed the extra efforts the restaurant had taken to make customers feel safe. Each member of staff was wearing a mask and had hand sanitizer on them and there was also sanitizer placed on the main service desk. The food was great, we got both a starter and a main, well priced and all in all we felt safe and protected. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and will be coming back soon!

Food came out quick and was hot, very nice. Tables were separated to maintain social distancing and all staff members were wearing masks and ensured safety measures were kept too. Regards to a feedback comment left on here by someone who said that there was no social distancing, no mask wearing etc I was sat next to their table when this occurred and their behaviour towards a member of staff was disgusting as they got in her face. Would not pay attention to their review, everything was perfect apart from that rude party.

Date of visit 14th August 2020Came for a meal with a booking of 4 people, arrived and let the staff know we had arrived and then was asked to wait outside, once our table was ready we were shown to it, although bare with no condiments and cutlery I completely understand why and what measures the staff go to in the fight against Covid, all staff wore masks and had little bottles of sanitisers clipped to their aprons which was a nice touch. Normally we have starters but we all decided just to go for a main meal tonight, I had a fillet steak which was cooked perfectly and tasted out of this world accompanied with a side of pepper sauce. Although staff do their utmost to comply to social distancing unfortunately some customers don’t, I heard a member of staff twice ask customers to please return to their own table as free movement wasn’t allowed around the restaurant . Well done staff for doing your best in these difficult times

Gorgeous food service excellent 👌

Atrocious customer service - told to arrive early as the table was ready, yet on arrival we had to wait outside in the rain for half an hour despite booking one week in advance.After being shown into the restaurant we had a table immediately next to the bar area with around 30 people crowded within the immediate vicinity of the table. From being within the restaurant it was immediately clear that it was NOT COVID-secure - no social distancing, extremely crowded, little to no mask wearing amongst staff and no safety provisions such as one way systems. This restaurant needs investigating by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council or Public Health England - totally unacceptable and placing people’s health and lives at risk. I would never visit again, and would strongly advise others not to visit if you have the slightest concern with regards to personal health and safety, or the COVID 19 pandemic. Atrocious.

Probably the worst experience in a restaurant EVER, never mind with the current COVID situation.We booked a table for 8:00pm on Monday night, turned up 15 minutes before our table to see a crowd outside (we thought odd but walked in) we waited by the bar for a while before someone advised us to go outside while they get our table ready. A young blonde waitress (who was fabulous I must stress!) came out and asked for our names and said she’d try get the previous table to hurry up their food and get them out. After another lady came out and took our drink order, the waitress re-appeared and assured us it would be five minutes till we were seated. A lady at the bar then tried to bring out the tray of drinks outside to us which we told her to just wait until we were seated as it seemed bizarre to be brought our drinks outside. 25 minutes after our reservation time we were seated in the packed restaurant. Absolutely no tables were left empty. It was then well after 9pm that we got our starters, nearly an hour after being seated and I think we’d have waited longer if we hadn’t of chased this (for potato skins and mushrooms may I add).We then waited again for our main course, and further waited for the chef to bring us out some cutlery as they appeared to have been in the washer (they were boiling hot) After we ate the meal, which was actually delicious, we asked the speak to the manager to discuss our issues. I stressed that there seemed to be absolutely no social distancing, no one way systems, no booking system and no regard to peoples health and safety (bar the tiny bottle of hand sanitizer as you walk in the door)... to which the manager told me that a big group had booked in on Facebook on her day off and she forgot to add it to her reservation list so she had to accommodate them!! In my opinion, I find this extremely poor management skills, if it puts your own staffs safety and the publics safety at risk then it’s your job to sort it out. You could’ve apologised to the group and offered a reschedule on another half priced date in the future. Two other people appeared to be complaining at the same time as us so I dread to think how many have complained about this. I’m surprised the place isn’t shut down for violating rules. Manager needs to sit down and think about how to run a restaurant and how to communicate with their staff effectively.

Attending Central Park tonight and all four in our party said it was the best steak they have ever had. 2 had fillet and 2 had sirloin, all cooked to perfection. The peppercorn sauce is on another level, we need the recipe, the chips are clearly homemade too.The full meal was top notch, we’re all well travelled and dine out very frequently and all agree the full meal, steaks, chips and peppercorn sauce are up there, if not the best, steak we have had ever... period. Great night, lovely atmosphere, sanitised on the way in, details taken for track and trace, social distancing in place.Big well done to all the staff - great place.

Food was gorgeous, no complaints at all and using the eat out help out made it great value for money. Spoilt right at the end though when we were just saying hello to a couple of friends on the way out when a staff member with short hair and a foreign accent told us very abruptly and quite rudely that we couldn't stand in the restaurant and needed to return to our table. I understand completely why she said it in relation to social distancing etc and we were right near the kitchen door but I really didn't appreciate her tone or rude manner, it takes nothing to be polite and quite frankly it spoilt the end to an otherwise lovely night. I think some staff training is in order or customers won't return.

Good food x great selection x good prices

This is my favourite restaurant in Redcar. The food is exceptional and great value for money. The chicken parmesan is one of the best I've had.
