Lovely cafe dog friendly inside and out.

Coffee great, excellent staff, dog friendly, but the bacon roll, a disappointment, bacon as bad as Maccy Ds, rolls chewy.

It's ideal for dog owners like us after we have been on the beach. We visit at least twice a week and there is a patio area round the back with seating and tables. The dogs like it too. The food is good and the people who own it are friendly. It's one of the best things about Marske.

Lovely friendly cafe. Our dog was made to feel super welcome. We are on holiday in the area having visited the beautiful local beach and came in for a quick lunch. Very reasonably priced and chatty staff.

Lovely, warm welcome on arrival. Dogs obviously welcome. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. A nice selection of food and drinks. The staff were lovely.

Called in for lunch whist walking the dog from Redcar to Saltburn. Very dog friendly and a lovely atmosphere. Somewhat disappointed with my sandwich. Literally that. A sandwich alone on a plate. Could have been improved with a little bit of salad or dressing.

Spotted this little place tucked away in the corner of Marske highstreet, nice and quiet when we went in for our coffee pit stop part way through our walk. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors to the front and rear, nice and shaded by trees at the front, friendly staff, cannot comment on their food selection as we didn't purchase any (only chocolate 🍫) dog friendly place for K9 lovers 🐕 Also doubles up as a bar 🍷🍻 Nice place, would definitely give it a second visit.

What a wonderful find, the staff were soooo friendly, and provided water and doggie biscuits for my faithful friend. Four adults and two children ate, lovely toasties, and we felt really welcome, 5* would recommend

Brilliant place, great staff, excellent service

Late Sunday afternoon looking for a coffee we came across this place. It's a bar as well as a coffee shop and it has a very cosy outdoor area which they call the back yard. We had coffee and delicious raspberry and almond slice. The service was quick, friendly and we could have stayed there for much longer had time allowed. Will go back again for sure.

Great panini and salad, milkshake and cappuccino. Really good service and lovely cafe with really nice little garden. Genuinely dog friendly with snacks and blankets available for our 4 legged friends. Great, friendly staff as well. The only reason for taking 1 star off is because of the misleading named 'Mighty breakfast muffin'. It was in no way 'mighty'! That aside, my wife's tuna melt panini and salad, her cappuccino and my Bueno milkshake were lovely. I also bought a caramel slice, to fill the hole that the 'mighty muffin' failed to fill, and it was yummy! Definitely recommend this cafe, especially if you are looking for a genuinely dog friendly venue.

Excellent food, excellent service, and a real dog friendly atmosphere. Serves alcohol as well as cafe drinks, if I lived closer, I'd use it regularly.

Popped in a couple of times whilst visiting Marske. Good service and a variety of options in terms of where to sit; beautiful weather so we opted for the garden. Definitely worth a visit.

Simply pure. I ordered a bacon,sausage and cheese sandwich, which was advertised as something like a "mega" sandwich. When it came it was tiny. It was premade and just warmed up in a grill sandwich maker. It could of come out of a vending machine. To add insult to injury I ordered a large coke. When that came it was just a normal small bottle ? Very poor value for money . Shame really.

Friendly staff and affordable tasty food. Coffee was good too. Sat in the sunny courtyard at the back. We'll definitely be returning.

Excellent coffee and choice of treats with a lovely friendly atmosphere… just had to remind them about our treats but the honeycomb tiffin and white chocolate berry slice were so delicious they were definitely forgotten about… well worth a visit and we will be back again

Came across this lovely cafe after walking along the beach to Marske from Saltburn. The family run cafe was obviously popular with locals but also so friendly and welcoming to visitors - even if you didn't have a dog! The garden outside was a perfect place to sit, the coffee and cakes were delicious and great service. We even bought some lovely fresh eggs from their own hens to take back. Next time we'd go for lunch :)

Called in for late breakfast on Sunday. My wife and I both had bacon buns and flat white coffee. The coffee was great and the buns were ok but perhaps could have done with slightly more bacon. All the staff were friendly and helpful As the name implies this cafe specialises in catering for people with dogs.

Didn't have food but staff were very helpful and knowledgeable regarding my grandsons intolerance. Very friendly, great relaxed atmosphere

Followed the recommendations online and headed here during a brief stay off in Marske. We took advantage of the sun's rays in the garden and enjoyed the hottest mocha ever (requested) and overall a pleasant café. Go see.

Quirky little place which doubles as a bar at night. Limited menu, I had a sandwich my husband a toasted panini, both ok. No prices on menu which I think there should be. Ladies toilets 👍. Cafe v small but has a conservatory area with tables and also outside seating. Obviously dog friendly!

Great find, just what I needed half way through my coastal walk. The food was delicious, the latte was a good size and it was very great value.. Just hidden away so go look for it..

This was a spur of the moment choice and so glad that we did - relaxed friendly atmosphere though you need to like dogs. Those present were very well behaved. Dogs that is 😆 ended up staying the rest of our evening there - perhaps try the food next time. Need to stock ophir gin though the alternative offered was fine 🙂

Since moving to Marske, In The Dog House has become THE PLACE for us to visit. The dog loves it too and frequently drags us in on her walks...well it would be rude not to. 😆 The staff are all wonderful, and it has a fantastic atmosphere with lots of local people that make us feel welcome. The cocktails are wonderful and the food is delicious, even the events are top notch. Well done guys and gals, you do a great job.

A small and cosy establishment, with friendly staff and good variety of drinks to choose from.

We visited here with 2 dogs for a spot of lunch. I have a severe nut allergy and another family member has strict dietary requirements. Although, the kitchen did use nuts, the staff here went above and beyond to make a safe panini for us both. We had a great lunch with fantastic service. We will be back!

Excellent place for lunch, able to cater for a food allergy and very helpful staff. Enjoyed lunch and it was great we could take two dogs as well.

Really lovely spot- nice food, good drinks and a lovely outdoor area. Super dog friendly with plenty of room for our Lab to relax after a day on the beach. The staff are very welcoming and it's just a lovely place to sit on a sunny afternoon.

Called in for friends birthday brunch . Panini and salad with pot of tea . Really tasty, beautifully presented and relaxing time . Was in there too, later in the week for a jug of pimms after a walk with the dogs . Sat outside in the rare sunshine . Great afternoon groom ma dogs too

The food is great especially the panninis. Sarah the waitress is brilliant, her customer service is excellent. She is a rare find these days. We only go in on a Wednesday because she's in.

Great dog friendly place to visit. Indoor, conservatory and outside area around the rear of the establishment to relax in. Food was great and also the real ale drinks. We took 2 greyhounds but plenty of space to lie down for them to relax. Would recommend a visit.

We are so lucky to have this little , well not so little actually bistro in our village . It's great for a coffee and a snack .. glass of wine to indulge after a walk with the pooch on the beach . Its very reasonable . Good food , great pot of tea , lovely staff.

Staff busy and rude.Such a shame as always been very happy there served small coffee and charged for large when enquired about it was told couldn't reach the shelf with the larger glasses.Will not be going again .

We visited In the dog house twice in one day as we liked the atmosphere and the friendly staff so much! First visit we had been for a walk with the dog, and loved how welcome that we were ALL made to feel. We had the best toasted cheese sandwiches we have ever had,! Loved the fact you could have a coffee or a alcoholic beverage. We noticed the cocktail menu so decided to visit later on that evening when the cafe turns into a bar and sampled the cocktail menu

Great place to visit with or without you pooch, the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Have to praise the 2 blonde ladies on today at lunch time it was really busy and they had a great system going making sure everyone was served quickly and still welcomed. Hot chocolates are to die for as well as the toasties.

I love going here the staff are always friendly on arrival and the hot chocolate is really good overall best place for a coffee and a chatt. I don't go any where else apart from the dog house now the cakes are really nice as well

Great - drinks and eats good, nice conservatory and garden to sit in for the summer. Walkway really narrow in the main cafe - really needs to be redesigned.

I've had some lovely times with my grandchildren here, the staff were always so kind and accommodating to us. However this time I visited alone and basically just wanted tea and cake. As the waitress ( Sophie ) asked how I wanted to pay, because I rarely pay with cash I said card, however then realised I had enough to pay with cash. The waitress wasn't happy as she had already rung the amount in the till and said she'd prefer card, I asked to pay cash at which point she rolled her eyes and said she preferred card, I asked why it was a problem to which she accused me of being aggressive, there was a couple of people sat close by who agreed this wasn't the case. Needless to say I left very upset, and so disappointed that one person can spoil such a lovely environment.

Popped I'm for a coffee and a tuna melt sandwich. Quite a few in with their dogs. Great atmosphere, food and drink was very nice. Very quick service too. I noticed someone was cleaning the tables as soon as they became empty. I would definitely recommend this place.

It was ok here. I liked the idea of having dogs with you, but the lack of a menu was just odd. How are you supposed to know what is on offer without a menu? The toasties seemed to be prepackaged and then warmed up, although the panini's seemed to be made fresh.

Lovely place to grab a cuppa and a cake. Staff are very friendly, and it's great to chill out with your pooch.

Really enjoyed our first ever visit to In The Dog House. There is outdoor seating both to the front and back. Only a small selection of toasties and paninis but a decent selection of desserts and a large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Appreciated the salad dressing served with the side salad, its a nice touch. Nice chilled out atmosphere and the staff were lovely. Good place to stop off at after a beach walk from Redcar or Saltburn. Found it a little pricey which is why four and not five stars.

We called for lunch after a lovely walk along the beach. The staff were amazing and made us feel very welcome. There was a lovely atmosphere, the food was excellent. The experience did not stop there, as when we were returning to our car, one of our party fell in the road. Not only did the staff come out to help but also the staff from the dog grooming next door took care of our two dogs. The whole community helped . Thankfully the 90 year old lady who fell is now safely at home. So many thanks to everyone. But especially to "In the dog house" staff. With that care we will certainly be back. Definitely one of the safest places to be. Finally a special thanks to Kate. Anne and Ken .

Finding a cafe as dog friendly as this is such a bonus. We normally visit the area to walk from Marske to Saltburn where we enjoy our fish and chips before walking back. This cafe has caused us to revise our start point. In future we shall park at Saltburn, walk to Marske, enjoy our luncheon at this lovely cafe and walk back to Saltburn.

Spacious cafe, with lots of indoor and outdoor tables. Very welcoming staff. Tried lovely vegan lemon cake (even though I'm not vegan) Delicious. Will return soon.
