Words cannot describe how amazing this place is. The portion sizes are very generous and definitely worth the price and it arrived in only 20 minutes!! The pizza is a beautiful blend between the sauce and the cheese and the lasagne melts in your mouth and not to mention the tiramisu which has a very rich and satisfying flavour. My only wish is that they would make smaller pizzas. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone, it is quite frankly a hidden gem in Guisborough and deserves to be more mainstream (I would give it 10 stars if I could). The staff are extremely polite and you can feel the passion of the chefs behind the impeccable quality of the food. I will definitely be back for more! 😃

First order of two pizzas, delivered on time and hot and tasted amazing! Dough delicious, fresh and scrumptious toppings. Took us back to eating pizza in Rome! We will certainly be ordering again!

I have heard so many positive things, but had never tried it, until now. Honestly, my expections were high,I admit, but I am very disappointed. I ordered a takeaway. Lasagne, cold, chewy on sides, like it had been sat for some time, and the filling was not up to what I had expected, it certainly never lived up to the hype.. I love Lasagne, and have to say it was not even up to the standards of some pub meals I have had. Risotto, cold again, not unpleasant when warmed, but, nothing special. Chips, a stingy portion, greasy looking French fries, quite dark too, slightly overdone.. The salad.. fresh, but not as described, felt abit robbed.. no olives, 5 large lettuce leaves, abit of thin sliced onion, and pepper,and a splash of dressing. I really am disappointed.. I felt we had got what was left over from the evening... this was not quality. Honestly,feel let down

Fritto e misto is my first stop for top-quality pizza in Guisborough. The pizzas are perfectly made and full of flavour. The food is authentically Italian and there are plenty of options, both for those who want their usual go-to pizza toppings, or for those who want to try something new. The staff are very friendly and the food is reasonably priced, with excellent quality (particularly recommend the Americana pizza).

We had a family takeaway and the food was without exception absolutely gorgeous. It was well packaged and piping hot and we'll definitely order another takeaway from them.

What with the all the genuine (?!) 5 star reviews for this place we thought we'd give it a go and order a takeaway seeing as you can't eat in there any more. Well what can I say, with a menu that is 90% pizzas they can't make a pizza to save their life. The base of it was burned as you can see in the picture. It tasted, as you can imagine, burnt, like burnt toast. Phoned up and they didn't seem too bothered, offered a new one - but then by the time it would have arrived our other dish would have been even colder, or some free desserts next time, but obviously there won't be a next time! Thanks to the burnt base, the pizza was inedible and to be honest the topping wasn't much better. Pallid coloured meatballs and bland toppings - it tasted of nothing in particular. The other dish was a lasagne, fresh out of the microwave with the telltale chewy edges. It was sloppy and also tasted of nothing. Add in a salad and some arancini and you're talking the best part of 30 quid. May as well have gone to M&S, or even Iceland would have been better. What a poor show and casts some serious doubt on the other reviews.

First time I've been here and I'll struggle to go anywhere else for takeout pizza now that I've tried this place! Food was hot with fresh ingredients and there was no oil or grease in the pizza box like you get with a lot of places. The staff were really friendly and helpful and all of the food was delicious. Try the arancini!

First time. Got a pizza and was absolutely amazing. Really top quality. No greasy box. Slight burn on the crust but that's trying to find a problem. Would recommend to anyone. Gonna try the pasta next 👍

After reading reviews we decided to try for ourselves a takeaway this w/e as not only was it Valentine's w/e but also a big Anniversary! It was barely warm on arrival, both the Carbonara & Risotto were dry! No sauce in the Carbonara at all...just solid Pasta. Worst meal we have ever had! Italian food is one of our favourite foods & this was very poor!

We hoped to have a meal from here 2 weeks ago, but circumstances plotted against us. So we decided that Saturday night was a good time to try to get one! My wife, bless her cotton socks, was an arancini virgin. Till now, she is now a fan, beautiful was her verdict. We shared an Italian tapas, excellent bread topped with Italian ham, mortadella, chorizo,and a very good mozzarella cheese. I enjoyed everything, my wife also. This restaurant will now be on speed dial.

The best takeaway pizza in the area - just perfect. Beautiful base, perfect toppings and the box looks almost new and not dripping in fat when you’ve finished - that must be good for the family. Massively recommend.

Fritto & Misto is a hidden gem just off the high street in Guisborough. The place maybe small but the welcome is big. The owners are friendly and so helpful at explaining the menu. We went with the chefs recommendations as we were spoilt for choice. We had arancini with pesto and four cheeses which were delicious. The picante pizza was cooked perfectly, the dough was crisp and tasty and the topping just the right amount. We also had a calzone pizza which was equally enjoyable. If you want authentic Italian food made with top ingredients and cooked perfectly then this is the place to try.

What we found at Fritto&Misto was accurately chosen Italian recipes, and some of them with a hint of North Yorkshire taste. My girlfriend and I (both Italian) always enjoy trying new restaurants, however we have never found such a perfect match between real Italian cuisine and English taste before in this area. How crazy is to taste parmo on a pinsa (ancient Roman recipe of pizza)? Best pizza in the area.

We had read other reviews of this eatery before we went and it sounded so good. We were not disappointed- we ordered 3 pizzas and some of the very highly recommended arancini. Pizzas were out of this world - I would say the best I’ve tasted outside of Italy - the base was so light and well baked and the mozzarella was superb. The arancini were cooked to perfection and came with a perfectly sized and dressed side salad. If you are in Guisborough you MUST try their food. Grazie Mille to the staff who were brilliant especially the young man on the counter who had to decipher my order through my mask! I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

In the three years or so that this restaurant has been open, it's kept the faith! The food is just as authentic and well-priced as ever, and the items they've added (a range of pizzas and excellent lunchtime pizza "sandwiches") have increased the choice without compromising on the quality. I don't know of anywhere else in this area where you can enjoy this particular combination of italian street food, pasta and pizza. Always a warm welcome too - nothing is too much trouble. Looking forward to eating there again (and again), soon.

Last night me and my gals visited this tiny little Italian for my friend's belated birthday. I had heard loads of good things about it so was mega excited...as usual! We were greeted by the owner/chef/waiter who was super lovely and friendly and was very accommodating with the birthday girl's cheese allergy. We all ordered two courses and were very excited at the prospect of proper Italian grub! We were not disappointed!The arancini were delicious! I shared a bolognese and a pesto arancini with my friend and the other two had meatballs. Divine! We were all very pleased. Next up, our mains. Lasagne, spaghetti bolognese and a burger were my friends choices. I ordered the meatballs and spaghetti which were just gorgeous. The tomato sauce was so delicious; I could have just had a plate of that! Fritto & Misto is small - only 3 or 4 tables but the quality of the food, reasonable prices and brilliant service mean that you could be fighting for a table! The smell of the pizzas is enough to lure anyone in! Just perfetto!

I have intended to go to Fritto & Misto for some time, and finally went tonight. It was a real experience! We were the only two customers but this meant we had Simon's full attention. The food was absolutely beautiful. I can recommend the seafood burger and the Lasagne.

Finally went in,after passing and wondering so often, on a quiet Tuesday evening. It's small, warm and empty...great, I think, suits us. The owner/chef/waiter..soon comes over and we order drinks. The menu is sensible sized and intriguing.We both order pasta and interesting starters...everything is tasty,real and yes....authentic. The best Italian food outside of Italy IMO...friendly, chatty, informative..I will be back very soon.

We had a takeaway last night, pizza and risotto, it was absolutely beautiful! Freshly made, the man was lovely and I said what I fancied and he made it! It is a lovely place if you want to sit in too. Good prices as well.

What a fantastic find! We were transported at once back to holidays in Italy by the wonderful food and warm welcome. A perfect place to take the family especially if, like ours, your kids love pasta and pizza (in this case a lovely Carbonara and Calzoni).

I really enjoyed visiting this place. Everyone I encountered seemed to be enjoying themselves, including the staff! It looks small from the outside, but there's plenty of space to sit and enjoy anything from a really decent coffee to a full meal. There's a good range to choose from, well prepared and presented. The menu is a blend of traditional and modern, with something for most tastes.

What a little gem, tucked away off the Main Street and warmly welcomed by the chef/proprietor for true Italian cooking. A good choice given the small premises, I had bolognese and my friend had a special soup with some unusual pasta/biscuit to add to it. It was a very cold November lunchtime and my only criticism is that the tables and chairs are quite Spartan.

This place is amazing. Very small and cozy the food is unbelievable. Simon who owns the place is so attentive and you can see him preparing and cooking the food. We had a mixed anti pasta which was beautiful and I asked for carbonara without any meat and nothing seemed like it would be a problem. We will defiantly go again and I'll be taking as many people as I can here to experience such authentic Italian food

Absolutely delicious authentic Italian food at very reasonable prices. Really personal service. Not to be missed - it's just off the high Street so is easy to overlook, but it is definitely worth a visit. We had the pesto arrancini, then I had pasta e fagioli and my husband had the lasagne. Really yummy. Even ordered a platter to take home with us.

Everything is fresh and perfectly cooked. There’s no shortcuts even for simple things like a panini - freshly baked bread is used and quality ingredients. On top of this the atmosphere is brilliant and friendly. Great coffee too!

Lovely little Italian cafe, great food and prices

We visited yesterday with our young family and were welcomed warmly by the chef/restaurateur. He was able to recommend dishes for us, and prepared a delicious sharing plate of antipasti. Beautiful cheeses, meats, and home made bread dressed with a gorgeous spicy vegetable tapenade. The arancini were delightful too. Our mains were equally delicious, lasagne, and a vegetarian dish of pasta e fagiole which was pure comfort food. Chef was happy to talk through the dishes and told me how to replicate at home. All very nicely presented too. The food was very good value for money, and we could take home the leftovers (girls too full from starter to enjoy their delicious looking pizzas). Another plus is if eating in you can BYOB. Overall, delicious food, great customer service, friendly and welcoming. Could visit for a casual meal in, takeaway, coffee and cake, I would definitely recommend.

We are slowly going through the menu and finding it hard to decide what meal will be our favourite. Everything we have eaten here has been fabulous and so tasty. My favourite for the moment I think might the starter which includes cured meats, cheese and fried rice balls and the mains might be Carbonara and my husband's is Risotto. The prices are really excellent value for money. Service is great. Simon is so welcoming and is truely a great chef. There is no alcohol licence here, which is by no means a downside as you can simply 'take your own', saving fortune on over inflated charges. I suggest anyone that loves Italian food should give this wonderful little gem a visit. We certainly will be friends and visitors of Simone's for a long time to come.

Lovely little place off the high street . Called for lunch one Saturday and it was absolutely delicious . Plenty of choice on the menu and the owner / chef is really nice and friendly . Would deffinately go again because the fried calzone with mozzarella and spicy pepperoni looks so good . I had the meat balls last time which was lovely .

I ventured out in the snow with my fiancé, having wanted to try this for some time and my only regret is that we waited as long as we did!

As a person who does not normally go out to Italian restaurants in the UK this was a truly welcome treat.

I'd been meaning to book here for a while, wow, I'm so glad I did. Chef Simon puts his whole Italian heart into his food. Amazing meatballs with fresh tomato, a tasting board out of this world with fresh artichoke, Italian cheese, olives and Parma ham (24 months old) plus Tiramisu that made my heart sing and was worth breaking my diet for! Simon even advises on the wine choice! If you love quiet, friendly attention to detail with the freshest food from the heart, eat here!

Food was excellent, four of us (2 young kids included) ordered almost half the menu between us to try a good range of stuff and to make sure the kids had something they would definitely like. we were passing through Guisborough, but would definitely come back for the food here. Simon was a very friendly host, happy to explain where each of the delicious items typically came from in Italy. There was no one else in today (late lunch), which was surprising given how good quality (and value) the food was. We ordered (among others) the red arancini and calzone which were both amazing, even the kids loved them.

I found this lovely little place today, just a few steps from the High St. Lovely, clean and bright interior, and a very warm friendly welcome from the owner. He explained what was on offer and then cooked me the most delicious Aranchini with a great side salad and home made pesto. What a delightful change from the usual run of the mill panini and wraps available at the chain coffee shops in the town. I really hope this little place does well. I would much rather spend my money at independent cafe's than pour more money into the coffers of the mega rich businesses . Great option to bring your own bottle for a very reasonable corkage charge. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

I called in for a light bite to take out. I had heard that there were arancini on the menu, my favourite take out food, and there was a choice of 3 varieties! Ready prepared, but had to be cooked off in the drier. Wonderful, beautiful risotto filled with a bolognaise sauce with added bacon and mushrooms, then fried to perfection. Topped off with a homemade tomato sauce, absolutely brilliant. I hope to return to this establishment in the near future for a sit in meal. Go this boy can cook!

We have visited Fritto and Misti several time for lunch and always been impressed with the range of fresh alternative Italian food. Simon is a super attentive host and his food complimented by his 5 star hygiene rating deserve to be a success. Please please please support this business before we lose it. It's truly worth a visit!

Fritto and Misto is a wonderful cafe which has recently opened in Guisborough. It is a real addition to the town with it's delicious food, and friendly owners. The café is run by a friendly and warm Italian couple who have cooking scrumptious food off to a fine art. We always pick Fritto and Misto over chains as the authentic Italian food beats any non-food you would receive in a fast food joint and for a fraction of the cost. The menu ranges from arrancini (breadcrumbed risotto balls) to calzone and pizza. We recommend going in early as the take-out food sells out quick. If you eat in there is also sometimes options of Spaghetti Bolognese and the like. If you have any room left, deserts including homemade brownies and pies are a must! Even if Italian food is not your thing,

It's a bit of a challenge to find this place, as it's not on Westgate, where Guisborough market is held, but on Westgate Road leading off it. It's really worth the effort to take the few extra steps, though.
