The best restaurants serving Indian food in Wales

You will be hard pressed to find better Indian food within a hundred miles.

Ordered a meal online, that appeared normal, but didn't show, thankyou for ruining our anniversary, absolutely disgusted, that they didn't update live bookings

Best place in the valleys for a curry, the keema murgh kurzi was delicious. Special shoutout to Taz, amazing customer service!

Tasty food & excellent service recommended

Very disappointed, possibly because it was so busy but certainly not up to it's usual standard. Booked table was not ready, food slow to appear & didn't all come together, half the table of 4 had food the other half didn't, plus some elements missing. Chicken tikka very dry, other food luke warm & condiments especially the chutney watered down terribly. Definitely won't visit again early evening on a Saturday if we decide to give it another chance !

It's a lovely place and great food I love the curry

Expected high standards. Was in for a shock as I did not feel that the staff were attentive to even cared to ask us how our food was. I mean it’s good they didn’t because it was terrible.

Great food and service, staff were extremely friendly. Living in Canada I have missed a true British curry and came to the Star of Wales via some podcast recommendations. Since my first review, have been back 3 times over the last 12 months, great as always.

Had a takeaway and the food was piping hot and very delicious, I walked through the door and the food was ready for me.

Ordered 2 madras currys It came to my door with vegetable sauce I rang up to complain they got my order wrong They didn't want to sort it out So they lost a customer Be careful wirh these while ordering Bad experience

Tasty, authentic, friendly and efficient

Rubbish of late. Staff smoking in the doorway. Food is dreadful and flavourless. Slow service too. Why bother? Pay some more and go to the local in Magor or order from Caldicot and have something nice. This will be shut soon unless there is change, living off the previous name and owner.

Lovely Authentic Indian food. Throughly Enjoyed

We've been using Balti King for a while now and can honestly say they are the best in Cwmbran and surrounding areas. We have tried other curry houses and takeaways but they are not anywhere near as good. The owner and staff are really friendly and go out of their way to help too. Definitely recommend!

Excellent curries. Fresh ingredients and really lovely staff. It was delicious - try the lamb you won't be disappointed!
