Sara Spice in Isle of Anglesey

Not one for reviews but this is the worst india I've ever visited. Gave most of it to the dog. Swimming in water, dry chicken and dry nann. Just a soggy mess not thick and creamy korma. The other meal was the same. Nearly £30 what a joke

We were visiting the area on holiday and went to Sara Spice for New Years Eve. The food was delicious and well cooked and presented. We would recommend a visit and would definitely return if we are back in the area. The staff were really friendly and welcoming too.

I recently visited there. And i have my dinner there. The food was awesome and very delicious. The service was also very nice. I highly recommend to everyone go there and enjoy.

Great food. Tawa Chicken Tikka Sagwala and Taka Dahl very good... everyone in our large group commented on how much they enjoyed their meal. Great staff. 2nd visit... we will return

Lovely curry in a pleasant restaurant. The food was great and the host very hospitable. With food this good it is hard to understand why it was quiet.

Had a nice dinner, good tasty food. Reasonable pricing. Friendly service. Could be presented on the plates a bit nicer. Seems to be the only dine in option in town, lots of take aways around.

The food was very tasty and decent value, but the service was very poor, taking an age to get our order taken and then even for drinks to arrive which obviously needed no preparation...and there were only two other groups in the restaurant. Based on the tastiness of the food I would give it another go and put the slow service down as an anomaly this time.

Wow 🤩 what an amazing meal. Holidaying in Anglesey and googled good Indian takeaways. Read the reviews and laughed at the bad reviews of most. Picked this one and omg what a meal. Everything perfectly cooked and great portions. If you’re in the area grab one of these and you won’t be disappointed. Well done Sara keep up the great cooking as my family and me will call again when in the area.

I visit Llangefni 2-3 times per year to visit family. I'm a massive curry lover and, although I've walked past this particular Indian restaurant many times in the past, I had not ventured in before. I'm happy that I made the decision to dine their with my girlfriend on this visit to the Island. I'm pleased to say the food was very tasty, the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The waiting staff were very attentive and the owner was very friendly. Will be returning when I visit Llangefni again!

My wife an I came to this restaurant for our 17th Anniversary and the food was amazing, the owner was fantastic, why this place didn't have more costomers I don't know. Please visit this wonderful restaurant before he has to close. I will definitely be back with my whole family. Highly recommended.

Best Indian food in the area, possibly on the island. Wife is veggie and said their potato and mushroom sagwala was the best veggie dish she has had, hands down. Their curries are varied and all well-flavoured. Breads are excellent and cooked authentically with no additives.

Went in for a sit down meal waited some time for service!customers were walking out because of slow service.Food was ok.

We're on holiday in a cottage about 20 miles away and ordered on-line. It was well worth the trip - the food was ready on time and was excellent. Portions were generous and everything was really flavourful with just the right amount of spice for each dish. Honestly - probably the best Indian meal we've had in years, including in restaurants. Highly recommended.

Had a take out last night .food was tasteless...and being sick from 3am not good at all I will not be going again !

We were staying at a nearby campsite and chose this restaurant by chance. We are so glad we did. We all agreed it was the best Indian takeaway we have had!! Fresh food quickly prepared at a reasonable price and the lime pickle is fantastic! Only down side is they prefer cash and charge for a card. If we had known we wouldn't have got caught out. It's a shame we live too far away to return. Thanks for a great meal.

Probably the best curry I’ve ever had (& I’ve had a lot). Delicious tender lamb fish, excellent flavour. Many thanks for making us so welcome!

On this, my first visit to Sara Spice, I took home a delicious Lamb Rogan, with Rice and Bread, costing a little just over £13. I highly recommend this dish as a take-away menu option, and as you can see from my photographs, there is also a wide selection of other food options. (Every Wednesday night there is a 4 course banquet for £11.95). A most enjoyable meal. Thank-you! :)

Had a takeaway from here and I enjoyed it. Wouldn't say its one of the tastiest curries I've ever had, but it wasn't bad. Service was quick and the portion sizes were good.

Have previously purchased meals from here with no issues, but our last meal tonight was very poor. Ordered 2 tikka meals, what we actually got was not what we ordered, also the naans were undercooked, very disappointed and will not be ordering anything from them again.

Great service, great food. The cook came over personally to ask me if I was happy, which I was!

Quite disappointed! Ordered set meal for 2 and paneer tikka masala the masala didn’t taste like a masala and the set meal was missing 3 items! Still £44!?!?!?!?!?

Had a takeaway meal fro here. Service was spot on. Gentleman that served me was very smartly dressed and polite. Food was excellent, best we have had in a long time, well done Sara Spice.

We all Felt like a curry and sadly didn’t enjoy the food and managed accidentally to pour the wet runny sloppy sauce and rice into my clothes which had my blood boiling. I routinely try something I know on a menu and it wasn’t good and my partner was asking me to stop moaning but I felt ripped off … not the best eating experience however I didn’t get a bad stomach from so at least I can say that as a positive… and it was a one off just a shame it wasn’t nice and could have been made professionally instead of how it was presented

When this was Ali's Spice I said it was the best Indian restaurant on Anglesey. It has changed hands and I have to say the food is at least as good as before. The approach and menu are slightly different but the quality is excellent. They now have a drinks licence, by the way.

Food was lovely. 100% recommended.

Quite an enjoyable dining experience. Only just opened, so will need to see how it goes on in the future!

Always get a takeaway from here, great food every time

Really disappointing. You could hear a pin drop, no music & no atmosphere. The staff were walking around in tracksuits which was quite strange. Could be a great place but needs to be managed better. Food was just ok.

Great curries, friendly service and reasonable prices. The meat in the lamb dishes is so tender, and they have some not so common dishes too which I would highly recommend. Their rogan Josh is 👏

Absolute terrible food , had lamb karahi...terrible taste, lamb cut into very tiny bits, curry tasted over cooked, had a strong taste to it..used way to much basaar, tandoori roti made with white flour, went dry and hard the instant it hit our table..pakoras were terrible, pure yellow in colour and not spicy at all..only thing decent was the mango lassi, even that was a bit too sour, minx you lassi is slightly..missus had pindi aloo and daal, absolutely no taste and full of puri...might be fine for local people who don't have any idea what asian food is supposed to be like..but for me bought up in the curry mile..it was awful...

Lovely staff, very oblging and courteous. Attractive décor. Cannot fault the food or the variety on offer. Haven't been for sometime dure to debilitating illness, but about to have a takeaway with my husband this evening.

Food was tasty. We get from here regularly but on this occasion, Sunday 28/02/21 we were given the wrong rice, my daughter doesn't like onions and was given onion rice instead of fried piller rice. Unfortunately we didn't notice until we got home and we drove from brynsiencyn to pick it up so that was unfortunate as it spoilt her meal

Food is consistently amazing and COVID guidelines followed brilliantly.

The best Indian in North Wales. Well worth the visit as you won't be disappointed. The meals are full of flavour and well priced. Ordered over 6 times in the last month and won't go anywhere else.

Staff were good but that is all my experience. Food was not great for the money paid. Fish was dry and very small pieces, chops are meant to come in a portion of 3 we got 2. For the price we paid i definitely could have got better quality and quantity else where. But definitely 5 🌟 for effort of staff at location. Unfortunately restaurants and far and few and options are limited on a Sunday evening.

Just been in Ali's last night on 28.08.2020. I am so great I did. The experience was very nice. The service was excellent, the food was very nice. Highly recommended for a lovely meal out. Kind Regards Attila

Excellent first post lockdown curry! The fish tikka marsala was spot on. Bargain price too thanks to PM/Johnson's cheapo covid dinners thingo👍 Spotlessly clean too.

Had a fantastic Mushroom Naga and Peshwari Nan. When we ordered the mushroom dishes we were told that there was only Chicken Lamb or Fish available but when we said that we were Vegan were told that we could have mushroom. I don't understand why that's not an option on the menu. We will definitely return when we are staying in the area again

Food was very good. Service was ok. Speed of food coming out was acceptable but the entertainment was superb! The entertainment started off with a light argument between staff and ended with fisty cuffs in the kitchen! I'm not sure what it was about but someone was accused of being a mudda fu**er, the chef decided to go home and another was covered in curry sauce, hat off to the guy covered in curry, he ploughed on like a trooper and ran the place by himself. 5 star review!

Bought a takeaway for the first and last time. Onion bhaji' s were heavy and seemed pre-cooked. Lamb jalfreeze had 5 little pieces of lamb and was not so hot.

We visited for the first time last night and we will definitely return. My chicken tikka balti was absolutely delicious as was all the food. The plain nan bread we had with our meal was also cooked to perfection and not stodgy/heavy. The service was excellent too. Thoroughly recommended.

We for the weekend with friends and was looking for a place to have a decent Indian was recommended by locals to try out Ali’s Spice... very warm welcome friendly staff and soon as you walk in the smell is so beautiful I felt hungry straight away lol.. I have chefs recommendations and I chose Cheesy Chicken Saagwala Asian Style And Am telling you it was the bed food Iv had ina long time last time I had a food like this place was back in India.. Mr ali who served us was looking after us...thanks guys And well done Definitely recommend Great Service, Great Food And Great People

Food and service were perfect. Went as a party of 8 for the Thursday buffet - great value and selection of dishes. The staff are excellent, would recommend to anybody. We will definitely be returning!

Under visited Bangladeshi restaurant in Llangefni. Service is good, food is good, but sadly people would rather order take out than sit in . Big mistake people xx there is a great dining experience to be had here if you sit down to eat here. Will return.

Absolutely fantastic!!! The food was so mouth watering and the service was spot on went with a large party for a Sunday Buffet and a young lad from Bradford was at the front off house welcoming us as we went in.. he was looking after us although out and made us laugh so much well done guys will be returning soon x

Super meal (we had it as a takeaway). Really tasty and interesting dishes (and we had a good selection), very friendly service and ready on time. Looking forward to return visit when we are next back. Deserves to succeed.
