The best restaurants serving Indian food in Wales

Having been away from the UK for five years, we went back today and yes it’s as good as always. Old fav Rohan Josh lamb. We both ordered the wonderful dips for the great poppadoms too !!!

Love this Indian. We always go here and have take aways too. It’s always fresh and competitively priced with other Indians.

Esperé 30 minutos para nuestra mesa - sin disculpas. Además de eso, luego esperé más de una hora por nuestra comida. Lo mejor fue que el gerente culpó al “personal juvenil” por su falta de disculpas y valores amables. No visitaremos pronto. Necesitan resolver la dotación de personal, la gestión del tiempo y el servicio al cliente.

We are visiting the area and decided to try out Gulshan on our first night. Needless to say we were not disappointed. Best Indian meal we have had in years. We will definitely return next time we’re visiting the area. Thank you.

Very delicious food and my first experience and i'm satisfy their services .The staff are excellent, very attentive and polite.

Food is very bland, doesn’t taste like curry at all. When my 8 year old says dad this doesn’t have any spice at all immediately knew I was in for a rubbish curry. Microwave curry’s from Iceland have more taste. Naan is like pizza bread, definitely isn’t made in a tandori oven, microwaves out of a packet. save your money go to a proper indian restaurant.

First time ordering from here (delivery) and I have to say, I was impressed. The presentation was nice (the food was in a nice package inside the plastic bag), the food was still hot, the Chicken Tikka Vindaloo was really good, the Pathia sauce was lovely with a nice sweet and sour flavour, the mushroom rice was good and the Keema naan dipped in the Pathia sauce was definitely a winner. The Poppadoms and mint sauce were nice too. I will definitely be ordering here again at some point. 5/5

Great food, excellent service 👌

Hadn't visited for a few years as not based in Risca but popped in with wife for starters and main on a Friday night. The food was extremely good value for money and good portions. For example my garlic chicken tikka starter had five pieces of chicken. The staff were very welcoming and we both left with a positive experience and as such will be looking to return. A real curry house with staff very knowledgeable about the dishes.

Nice place, but I was disappointed that the food was not piping hot.

Had a delicious Salmon Bhaja last night... beautifully cooked - generous portions....so pleasd they have such a good selection for veggies and fish eaters....best meal out in a very long time. Brought my left overs home and just as delicious the next day....thank you

Ordered online and had a very poor order delivered. Prawn Puree Starter - a minute amount in the tray. Less than 25% full, which arguably turned out to be a blessing as there was so much undercooked garlic in it that it was inedible. Nothing like how it usually is. Mixed kebab starter - horrendous. The lamb pieces were not just tiny but were all gristle. See pic. Inedible again. Keema rice - pretty much flavourless except for a horrible after taste. Like too much ghee was used. Madras - much darker than usual and didn’t taste great. Tiny pieces of chicken in it and very few of them. Not good. Very disappointing experience from a place that we have ordered from many times. I wouldn’t have guessed this came from Tava, such is the gap in quality from what they usually serve. It was so disgusting it’s gone straight in the bin. Just wish I’d taken more pictures to demonstrate how poor it was. 0/10.

The food was great and the service was great. The only problem being everything was a bit tight for space. The staff were attentive and you didn’t have to wait very long for service.

First time ordering from Plaza as a takeaway and this will be my next go to for a dine in experience. Complete foodie especially Indian a firm favourite.. Well Done everyone 30 years in cuisine speaks alot, it travelled well and was very very nice. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
