They advertise a ‘Buffet Night’ in a poster on the door. Didn’t even get through the door when a very rude man (the owner?) told me “it’s finished…a long time ago”. I suggested they should take the poster down then, which he started to do. Went round the corner and had a nice curry at the Lavan’s Spice. As I walked back passed on my way home the poster was back in the window! They are openly LYING to customers advertising a buffet night they don’t actually do! AVOID!!!

I booked this after hearing some good reviews and I was not disappointed the food was amazing we had onion bani and garlic mushrooms for starters and then a posanda and masala for mains with garlic naan and Bombay potatoes if had realised the size of the portions then wouldn’t of ordered so much couldn’t finish it all the service was second to non very attentive and friendly and the prices were very reasonable expected to pay more with the quality of the food would recommend and certainly go back even if it’s for takeaway food

Sorry to say but this was a disappointing experience. When we arrived there was no vegetarian option, though it had been specifically ordered in advance. It was eventually produced and tasted ok. The poppadoms were bendy, the barjhis were hard, and I had stomach ache for two days afterwards.

I recently visited Anica Restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Here’s why: Food: The quality of the food was below expectations. Service: The service was another letdown. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

Visited 9n a week day. It was fairly quite. Ordered papadoms, pickle tray, mixed meat curry, naan and mushroom rice. The lamb and chicken in curry was very very dry but prawns were spot on. Gentleman offered to make me a new one but it was kind of late because started to tuck in so said it's ok. Rice was nice and naan was fresh and one of the best I have had. I have asked for takeaway for the leftovers and it wasn't too much to ask. Gentleman made deduction on my bill because of the meat which was nice of him and also you get 10% off if you pay by cash.

Our favourite Indian has closed, we've tried a few since but nowhere else has matched the flavour. Thought we'd give Massalla Club a go. Food arrived quickly, great portion size, pipping hot! My husband had madras and was really impressed. I had jalfrazi, the chicken was tandoori that really added to the flavour, but was lacking a bit of spice. I ordered a cheese nan, what arrived was a keema nan (i hate lamb). I called the restaurant, within 7 minutes a cheese nan had arrived, along with a kind apology. So grateful.

Beware if there is only 2 of you wanting to eat out here. Waiter refused to let us sit on a table for 4 because there was only 2 of us. There were 3 empty tables for 4 plus 1 table for 2, but that was pushed up to the service counter and that was the table the waiter offered us. We didn't want to sit immediatly next to where customers would be hovering over us whilst paying for and collecting take-aways and where the phone was ringing and conversations between the waiter and customers were regularly taking place. When he said we couldn't sit elsewhere, I said 'we'll leave it then'. Then the waiter responded, in a sarcastic voice, with a 'BYEEE'. So that's a loss of income for them of between £1500-£1700 over the next year as we would have called in for a sit down meal for two every fortnight, plus a takeaway for two once a fortnight. We then had a meal at one of their competitors and then walked around Settle before heading off home. Whilst walking around Settle we looked into the Spice restaurant again to see if all the tables that we had been refused the use of, had now been taken. There were still 3 tables for 4 that were empty, plus the same table for 2, that is pushed up to the counter, was also empty. PS We had been to the Spice a fortnight earlier and the same waiter had tried to have us sit at the same table by the counter. On that occasion we asked if we could sit on another table and when he said no, we asked 'why not?' He then said 'ok' and we sat elsewhere. We didn't want to go through the same 'negotiation' for a second time. It's dimple, if they don't value us as customers then we'll spend our money elsewhere.

We had to come into Leicester for personal reasons and thought why not get some sweet sticky food to take home. So I looked up sweet centres near belgrave road and this shop caught my eye. Having gone there we were very disappointed with the amount and quality on offer. I asked for a box of gulab jamun (1/2 kg). The first thing the lady said was “is that it?” (In Punjabi), which shocked me. Then she said £6 for about 6 gulab jumuns. Asked for money back and will never go back. Shop wasn’t busy only people cueing up for online/phone collection.
