I haven’t had a takeaway from here for years so I was really looking forward to our meal. The meal arrived on time (according to the email) but that was the only plus. The starters were nothing like what they were supposed to be like and the main meal curries tasted very bland indeed. Overall a very disappointing meal - please go elsewhere!

Anica is a great for Indian food. The atmosphere is okay, and the flavors are good. Service was good. If you're in the mood for Indian, it's worth a try.

This is the first time we’ve used Anica as the usual Indian restaurant we used had now closed and we needed to find a new one! We found this service to be really good, and we were served with a friendly face when I walked into the restaurant. The Takeaway food was absolutely fantastic, and we will be using the services of Anica in the future

The staff were generally polite, although perhaps they need to exercise a bit more decorum when presenting the bill; not allowing the customer enough time to scrutinise the list of items is not good practice! Particularly when there had already been a discrepancy earlier when we’d to remind them of missing items. The food was very average and the spicy dishes not spicy at all. Of course you can request it to be made hotter but that would simply involve chucking in additional spice which isn’t the same as the dish being actually cooked in it from the start. The restaurant itself smelled of damp/mould and the toilets were not cleaned property. In the ladies there was evidence of dried vomit (or something very similar) around the washbasin for example. With so many Indian restaurants to choose from in the town you would expect that those who want to be the best of the bunch would make an effort. Sadly Anica doesn't fall within that category and we will not be returning, or even using it for a take away in the future.

Only went for a takeaway decided to eat in and had a terrific dinner. Highly recommend will definitely go back.

1st ever just eat order after moving into a village. Amazing food and service will definitely use again. Brilliant value for money!

Rats upstairs plus the chef doesn't wash his hands after a toilet ...was sick for 2 days afterwards

My partner ordered a takeaway tonight and they got our order wrong. I ordered chicken tikka masala and although it said it on the packet it certainly wasn't CM. It was extremely spicy and tasted nothing like it. My partners order was correct however, his food leaked in all of ours. Rice and my main dish that was wrong. Naan breads were both burnt. This used to be our favourite place but they've massively gone downhill. This isn't the first time they've messed our order. It has put us off now ordering from them again as its been to many times. We were also promised a phone call from the manager for refund but we haven't heard anything!! Definitely avoid.

Excellent food and service. Very attentive without being overly in your face every 5 minutes. Extremely tasty and portion sizes were perfect. Nice to see a restaurant provide decent portions! Would highly recommend eating in so you experience the service. We would not have found this without our Taxi driver giving us some guidance as the restuarant is not sign posted anywhere. When you see Poundland, there is an alleyway next to it. The signs above the alleyway say toilet. Don’t walk past it! Go through the alleyway and you enter a square. The restaurant is on your right as soon as you get to the square.

Do not order from ancia.Absolutely terrible service. You will be lucky to get your food. They use thier own delivery drivers.I wasted 2 hours for their food, after 2 hours I cancelled my order. The main thing is they are not giving any proper response.

Do not order a delivery from here. We tried last night and they missed out part of the order. We called to complain and they clearly didn’t care. There was no apology. It took over an hour before they sent the missing item and by the time we received it it was stone cold. I would never use them again because of the fact they didn’t care at all with no attempt to apologise. We had to ring them again after waiting a hour to receive the missing item and then it took another 15 mins before it arrived and it was stone cold. Service was abysmal - avoid like the plague!!!!!!

Good evening all I looked at reviews for this restaurant but iam glad to say who ever writes comments like them they are totally wrong my brother and myself and the wife been going there for at least 4 years with no complaints,we going shopping at outlet for 2days then have curry we think it’s excellent food and friendly staff .

A dreadful Indian restaurant! Place is quite scruffy and the food was awful, a group of 9 of us all agreed it wasn't very good at all , I had a chicken madras which was definitely not freshly made and was out of a packet or tin it tasted very much like a Chinese curry mix . We Definitely won't be going back ! And have just realised it only has a 3 star food hygiene rating!

It's often said that there are four or five foodie staples that you simply must find when moving to a new area. Unsurprisingly, a good curry house is one of these, and Anica is this for me; the food is delicious, portions are generous, and prices are good. I've had a couple of disappointing experiences with other Indian restaurants in the area (nothing major, just some watery sauces, high prices for what you get, and the like) but no such concern with Anica; thoroughly recommend.

Very nice food - delivered on a Saturday night took 1 hour. Would reccommend the chicken Ada tasted absolutely amazing. Spent about £15 pp without drinks. One of the better Indians in the area but not the best (that would be zaara).

This has now become my go-to Curry Restaurant in Bicester, delicious food, friendly staff and quick. Looking forward to my next visit!

We ordered through Just eat for an order to be delivered to our hotel whilst working in the area. Food was plentiful, hot and tasted ok, however it was very late being delivered and we so tired we had gone past being hungry. The delivery driver was cheery enough though.

Delicious food - particularly mixed kebab starter and chicken tandoori starter. Great portion sizes (we took leftovers home). Also, very friendly staff.

We regularly get takeaway delivered from here - it is our favourite. We've occasionally dabbled with others but always return to Anica. Lovely food and unlike one other which I won't name, they always get the order right.

Best Bangladeshi Ayre fish in Jalfrezi style I have ever tasted. Aubergine side dish was delicious too. Would highly recommend. Mot expensive.

A very good Indian restaurant, i think it's the best in Bicester but the competition isn't great. The decor needs an update but the service was friendly and the food very good. Never over crowded either. Parking at Wilco is free after 6.30 too

The food and service was ok, I personally would skip the starters if I went again. The main courses were ok and reasonable in portion size for 3 of us to share.

Terrible customer service. Ordered through Uber eats and our food was not prepared becuase of a technical error. After multiple calls and being told our food was on the way, the manager finally told us our food was not being prepared after 2 hours.

Very disappointed with our food, the sauces are now made with coconut in them, but says nothing in the description as if I’d known that I would of saved myself £39 by not ordering, very sad indeed

I’ve been spoiled for choice when it comes to curry as a London guy (Dishoom, Brick Lane curry houses, etc). Was at work in Bicester and really wanted a nice curry. Ordered the lamb madras with coconut rice. Was a banging choice 😋👌🏽. Definitely taking my family in for a meal here soon.

Great dinner here this evening - really tasty food and excellent service. Their dine in deal for a starter, main, side, rice or naan with a drink for just £25 is excellent value! Will definitely be going again.

Worst customer experience ever!! We went in for a drink and ordered a couple of starters. The server was upset that we did not order any mains. In his words “it’s not allowed to come in and just have starters and drinks”. Never heard of such a policy and it is not advertised so beware before you enter. If your bill is not high enough then they might get upset and you will be in for a fun experience.

We went there midweek. Waiters were excellent, food was very well presented and delicious. I can honestly say it was the best Indian meal we've had in a long time. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Outstanding!...Used to go to Anica religiosly but they lost their way abit..However started going back for a while now and have to say They are Back!! Outstanding as it used to be. Consistant and tasty...Value for Money in Bicester right now as all the others seem to be Ripoff prices since Lockdown.. Not Anica. Top Draw Highly recommended. 👍

Best Indian in town for definite!

Every time I've ordered from there it was spot on but this time this time it wasn't the best. The chot photia starter was most disappointing, the chickpea seemed to be going off.

Excellent Indian & Balti (Bangladesh) cuisine. Very polite staff. Excellent service. Very clean and cozy environment. Large portions, freshly cooked food and not frozen and reheated in the microwave. We were very pleased without expecting it is the truth as we were looking for a restaurant on our way back from Bicester and came across this by chance. Extra useful tip: his kitchen stays open until 11!

Ordered from Anica through Deliveroo. Hours later and still nothing. Tried calling the restaurant but no answer. Do not order from here.

I have been meaning to post this review since last week (28th Sept 2021). Rahim and the Anica's team were FANTASTIC in helping to organise a surprise birthday (takeaway-dinner) for close friends of my wife, for her birthday. My role was to organise the people, collect the orders and arrange delivery time. EVERYTHING went without a hitch - this is thanks to Rahim and the Anica's team. THANK YOU for making my wife's birthday eventful and also providing us with lovely bottles of beer and wine and additional food items. For anyone wanting to find a venue (for surprise event) or organise for takeaway party dinner - look no further than the Anica's team. They will definintly do everything to make your surprise event special!!!!

I've been in Bicester for over 8 years now, and I can hand on heart say that Anica is the best Indian restaurant, if I could give more that 5 starts I would.

First visit for us everything was lovely, we will defiantly be back.

I came to bicester village, searched on Google for a indian restaurant and this place looked the best on Google. Nice place. The food was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent, the Waiter from Nepal (Joe) was very friendly. Highly recommended

Great food and always a good welcome.

This was a good experience with a varied menu. The staff were very friendly and professional. The food was good and timing between courses was perfect. The staff were not hovering over you all the time but but we're still very attentive to your needs. Small extras or requests were not a problem. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5, was the table sizes. They are a bit small and felt a bit cramped but on the plus side it stops people having their phones on the table. Access is easy from the market square or Victoria Street parking.

This used to be mine and my partners favourite takeaway restaurant but when we ordered our usual takeaway yesterday it was extremely disappointing. I had chicken tikka masala not only was it different colour to what it normally is it was extremely bland and tasteless. Normally the chicken tikka is red colour this was orange and it was awful.My partner had the khanda chicken he normally eats all of his but both of us only ate half . Extremely disappointing. I hope they havent been taken over by a new chef!

We moved to Bicester in 2014 and found this great restaurant not long after. Ever since it has been our ‘go to’ for takeaway and we have also enjoyed dining in the pleasant, comfortable and well maintained establishment. The staff are always polite, attentive and helpful. As both my wife and I work with NHS patients, it was nice to see there support during the COVID pandemic, offering a discounted price on their fabulous and tasty menu.

Our son bought us vouchers here for Christmas. Ordered today and the portions were huge and we have enough for two more meals! Also we have only used half our vouchers! My king prawn dish was delicious and the veg curry was full of veg - usually I find it has a green bean and a spud in it from other restaurants! My husband said his mixed grill was excellent.So get negatives:1. Ordered for 6 and arrived at 6.152. The delivery man didn’t know it was paid which could have been awkward!Staff very friendly and helpful

Anica is by far the best Indian restaurant in Bicester in my opinion after trying them all out over the years. The food is always very tasty if you eat in or have a takeaway. They are happy to make dishes more spicy if you particularly like a certain dish but want a bit more of a kick! Definitely try this Restaurant first when you next fancy an Indian meal!

This is a review of two parts, my husband's was delicious. I ordered sag paneer which came in a coconut sauce which it didn't say on the menu and not something I would never order. It was okay but I would double check what you are ordering. I will go back but be careful what I order.

Visited here to celebrate our anniversary. Wow what a hidden little gem of an Indian. So pleased we booked. Food was excellent, the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return next time we’re in Bicester. A lovely touch receiving a complimentary drink and beautiful flowers and Prosecco for our anniversary.

Previously had a take away and was very good, decided to dine in and food was very good, service was quick and efficient, not rushed and walking in late into a Indian staff can get a little sloppy, overall highly recommend and good food, tandoori mix starter was spot on .

Fancied a last minute curry, decided to order a takeaway to be delivered as my wife has heard lots of good things about the restaurant.Ordered directly via their website 2x rice & 2 x mains.Website confirmation stated we will contact you within 5-10 minutes with an estimated time of delivery but if you haven’t heard anything please call on a given number.We were in no particular rush (6:45pm) when ordering, but after 45 minutes we phoned for an update as hadn’t heard anything.This is where it started to fall apart - the gentleman we spoke to asked what did the email confirmation say as he didn’t know as hadn’t seen it. To cut a long story short & several phone calls later including promises that the food would be hot we eventually received our meal over 2 hours later.It was like warm at best, more sauce than content and was very unmemorable- bland and boring meal - won’t be going back any time soon, there are plenty of other Indians in Bicester providing better food & better service.

What an amazing meal we had last night. Everything was delicious, all food was very tasty, piping hot and the portions are massive! Our children we also offered ice creams to take away which was a lovely gesture, thank you Anica we had a lovely evening.

Really good food, the tandoori rezala was fab, naan bread and mushroom rice excellent too. Really pleasant staff - thank you for a really nice experience - highly recommended

My partner and I are regular customers for there takeaway deliveries! They do the best chicken tikka masala and my bf has the kandhar chicken which he loves! Never had any problems with Anicas. Great food, fast delivery and staff are really friendly and welcoming!Best indian in Bicester!:)

Ordered a takeaway it took a long time to arrive and when it did the egg in the rice was burnt and brown.I don't understand how or why any chef would allow it to of left the kitchen.we use this restaurant alot but sadly its really put me off

Ordered a takeaway for first time tonight. Arrived quickly, friendly service, food hot but...most important, food was excellent and great value!!! We’ll be back!!!

Normally everything is fantastic and no complaints! But this evening, my tikka masala was so watery and not thick enough and virtually tasteless. Usually is by far best around but today was a real let down! Arrived 20 minutes early, I’d rather wait and be perfect than be rushed. Everything else was up to standard!

The food is honestly amazing and we as a family have been eating here for a long time. However over the last year the service has gotten so frustratingly slow, 2 and a half hours for delivery when we were advised it would be an hour. It’s such a massive shame. If they are struggling with getting orders out, they should be honest about it when people place an order. I’m sad to say we won’t be eating here any more.

Really lovely flavoursome food. The best Indian takeaway we’ve had in Bicester thus far (and we’ve tried a few!!) Order was delivered on time and piping hot. Service upon ordering and upon delivery was excellent, and with a smile. Would recommend to try the Saag rice. You won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I decided to try this Indian restaurant at the last minute as we had previously tried several other in the town. The staff were very friendly and the portions of food were nice and of a good size. We worked out that we spent less eating in than if we would have ordered a takeaway to be delivered. There was a slight difference between the drinks listed on the menu and the brands being served but that wasn't a big problem for us. A good atmosphere and crowd of people too.
