Had my anniversary meal here on 3 September and the food was absolutely amazing. 10/10 would highly recommend! Faisal/Faizen was a great host. Will definitely come back here again. 👌🏼 Lamb biryani with butter chicken from here was the combo you all need!! 😩👌🏼

Excellent food, excellent service

Good atmosphere, excellent service, clean and friendly. Names of the dishes were really weird - who uses ’maa qasam’ (swear on my mother’s life) sentiment to name a starter? Does a dockyard chicken come from a scrapheap?? But the service was brilliant- well done Atif

Food was flavoursome. Drinks could be sweeter. Were a bit sour. Great service and beautiful and clean restaurant. They did a little dessert with a candle for my bro’s birthday. Polite staff. The chilli paneer, samosa chaat, and masala fries were the best dishes.

Came here for Eid with family, prices are a bit higher than other places but it’s understandable, as the quality and service made up for it. We were recommended one curry dish and was told it wasn’t spicy at all, but believe me it was and I can handle my spice. All the dishes came out a bit spicy, had to buy a desert to cool our palette down. But overall the service was impeccable, I would come here again. 4 stars was given due to sheer volume of spicy food, even though the waiter stated it was mild.

The restaurants atmosphere is most definitely different to your typical Pakistani/Indian food. The decor /music all resembles a contemporary vibe. Drinks were spot on. For starters we ordered the panni puri, it comes with three different combos, the Youghut one was my favourite, tasting like a classical panni puri. The two pans served (berry and mint) were not to my liking, the berry pani would be ideal for a mock tail I wish they stuck with he originally tamarind. Mains we ordered them lamb biryani and slow cooked smoked chicken. The chicken my husband loved with the right balance of flavours. The lamb biryani was a let down unfortunately, there wasn't enough masala, the rice was over cooked so became mushy. They were kind enough to gift us a mango cheesecake for our anniversary which was very nice of them. I would suggested to go back to original mango cream cheese combo. They use a setting agent which takes away from the cheese cake texture. A creamy mango cheese would be a better fit!

Only visited once with the whole family but had to walk out as they didn't have a lot of items on the menu. We were the only ones in the restaurant. In an area where Indian restaurants are plentiful, you need to up your game to survive.

Absolutely beautiful experience. They have not cheaped out on the design of the place. Has a modern look and everything has been well thought off. They've revolutionised the food, with the samosa chaat being served in the style of an ice cream, the cutlery is very ergonomic and much more. They're pricing is exceptionally well for the quality, give it a shot

Atrocious. When entering the premises the waiter was near enough mute. We could not hear him listing the available dishes. Was not able to take order correctly and got the quantities of items wrong. Misleading photos on social media. Service took over 1 hr for starters to arrive and drinks. Overpriced and dark ambience- could not see food items properly even. Not authentic Indian food. Does not have working toilet seat. It was broken. Felt embarrassed to take family here. Im sorry to say would not come back as did not deliver to expectations as shown on social media. Very upsetting.

Absolutely love this place. The starters are the best thing. When we come, we order more starters than mains. The lamb chops are spectacular in taste. One of the best indian eatery's around. Definitely recommend everyone to visit if you enjoy indian cuisine!

Been meaning to dine at Mumbai7 for a very long time and today was the day. Went there for a meal with some of my family. Had really nice lights, decor and ambience was great. Food was really on point, credit to the chefs. Will definitely be visiting again. Easily one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to, food was full of flavour. I really enjoyed the experience. Staff were also very polite and helpful with choosing what to order. Nice little touch when the staff brought out an amazing pistachio milk cake with a candle for SIL on her birthday.

RAMADAN EDITION: Came here for iftaar during this year Ramadan. Cleanliness not an issue, nice atmosphere, was very quiet when we came in. We ate from a Ramadan Menu, ordered Garlic Naan, Butter Chicken, Chicken Biriyani, Chicken Tikka Malai. Overall was nice l enjoyed the Butter Chicken the most.

Ive never had an amazing experience than dining in Mumbai7 . Specially the hospitality of the owner who came to our table , asked if everything was okay and food was up to the standard. Even sat down with us for a quick round of tea (Complimentary) from him. Loved the Biryani and Bindas mocktail. Many more times to come #Mumbai7

Went to Mumbai 7 for mother's day and the experience was second to none. The service was excellent and the food was the best I've had in east london. We also had the Pistachio milkcake which was very unique and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Delicious food and great customer service. Ordered butter chicken, which was not on the current menu. This was very tasty with great flavour depth. Wagyu steak on chips was tasty but would've liked more marbling on a Wagyu grade steak. The mixed chat platter was tasty as well and has some smoke theatrics to go with it.. I wasn't a fan of the garlic naan as it was quite thin and I found it to be a little on the hard side. I personally prefer fluffy, uneven naans.. Though the decor is nice, the atmosphere needs shaking up. There was no music or sound in the background for a while, so it was dead quiet and a little awkward. Will definitely be back to try their other items.

Went to Mumbai 7 for the third time for Mothers Day and the experience was just as nice as the first time round. The staff were really friendly (especially with my little one) and ensured that we were happy with everything that had been given. Good was really nice (starters are always a league above everything else).

Really tasty food and great service!

We went to Mumbai 7 for my friend’s birthday, and the decor and customer service was very nice. However, what let the meal down was the portion sizes. We got the Mumbai Chowpatty Chaat platter which was £14.50 and it came with only 12 small pieces, and it was all very mediocre, a dish where it was definitely style over substance. Biryani was nice flavour but meat pieces were a little dry. Butter chicken was nice but a bit too sweet. Lamb karai (off-menu) was very nice, good flavour. Overall everything was okay, but not amazing.

I went to this restaurant having no knowledge of what to expect. But it was really nice. The food was cooked very well, it was very tasty. Recommend the chicken boti we asked for it to be spicier and they did do it as we wanted. It was excellent with some butter naan. Nice experience and good service! Keep it up

Been meaning to visit here since it opened, with people recommending and saying it's great food. Special occasion so thought the perfect time to go. Plenty of free parking in the main road and side street. Inside decor very nice, light colours, and music on low. Staff very attentive and helpful Got a mocktail, that had dry ice for some visual affects. Flavour was actually really nice with, rose syrup, elderflower and lychee. Starters was cauliflower and some chicken mix slider. Very good flavours in the cauliflower, slider was actually just one big piece but still good to share Mains garlic naan, biryani, a dry fish dish, masala chips, and lamb korai. All presented well, good flavours, fish dish was really nice, like a battered cod but more spices. Masala chips was really good, mixed well Korai and biryani was great as expected, albeit they both could of had a bit more portion in them for the price your paying. Overall good for occasions I think, I wouldn't visit regularly, as price is a bit more then other similar restaurants. Decor, quality and flavour of food was very good.

Booked Mumbai 7 for a nikkah and enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. The service was great, staff was lovely and helpful. The food lived up to our expectations. Overall, we had a great time. Highly recommend this venue for special events.

Highly recommend! Came here for my besties birthday dinner (there were like 20 of us) Half of us came late lol, really appreciate the patience and service. The interior is beautiful, really loved the set up. The Maa Kasam chilli chicken is my fav lol, love the name. Big thank you, keep it up!

Good food & service - nice decor too

This restaurant provided fantastic food & service overall, I would definitely recommend coming here in the future. We came as a family of 5 celebrating a birthday meal & the atmosphere, music & the service was great & felt straight away from the first minute of coming in. The chefs & staff members greeted us as we entered. The starters we had the Prawn Koliwada & Cone Samosa Chaat, it was absolutely amazing & definitely would try again. The mains, we had the Bollywood Biryani, Braised Wagyu Bhuna Steak, Butter Chicken Curry & Masala Chips - all food was cooked to perfection. Desserts & tea is also recommended. I’ve got to say, the waitress called Arzu provided us 10/10 service & definitely deserves a pay rise for everything she done in the night, she is the main reason why im writing this review. This place is a hidden gem & a very family friendly restaurant, not too busy which is perfect as you’d want to enjoy the experience there. Would 100% recommend going there!

Amazing services, delicious food and great atmosphere!!

The food was great! Do try the Chaat, Nihari and Fish. Tasted truly nice. The ambience is also decent! The presentation and theatrics for some dishes is a nice touch. I don't know if it was just us, but we struggled with the plate size! It's the usual buffet size plates (small) and not the regular restaurant ones! Otherwise, it was a great experience.

Just returned from this place after having a great vegetarian meal, I love my food and have been to many Indian restaurants in London and abroad and can safely say that the food here is on point! Great quality food with impeccable service, the waitresses actually seem to be happy working there! It all makes a difference plus probably had the best masala chai which was made with milk and not tea bags! Will be back soon, keep it up!

My wife and I had the restaurant to ourselves for lunch, and ordered a range of things. The food is definitely above average for sure and reasonably priced (particularly when no service charge is forced on the final bill), and it was a nice lucky touch we had the restaurant to ourselves too! I did have really bad heartburn at night, although I think that is more the nature of the food tbh.

The food was at best average and certainly not value for money. But the setting was nice and the service was good.

Salutations, this is my review of Mumbai 7. First off, one of the waiters explained the meaning of the name and I've got to say, it's very clever! :) The theming is very pleasant aswell. As for the food, it was delectable! :D The only gripe I have is that the fish fry had a bit more batter than fish, but otherwise I'm all good! Thank you for reading.

I went there in a group of 6 foodies. The Ulta Samosa Chaat was what attracted me to this place when checking the pics and reviews. The place is well maintained and has the right volume of staff. I was impressed with how quiet the kitchen was, sign of a well-trained kitchen brigade who were very courteous too. Pooja was our waitress the whole night and she really was on point with the service, so deffo a shoutout for a wage raise for Pooja to the management. For the dishes, everything was really nice and tasty with some surprising spice combinations. We had a wide variety of starters and also shared a few mains all of which you can see in the pictures and videos attached. Also, deffo try the Fantoosh & Hanging Garden mocktails. With the quality of service, professionalism, skill & creativity in the kitchen, and the dishes themselves, this place would have lines for days if it was in Soho. Will definitely be back here and wish the business a lot of success and continued creativity which I feel is their strong point.

Mumbai 7 provided the catering for my office's Christmas lunch yesterday. Food was amazing and loved by everyone. Seconds were had by everyone and some even went back for thirds. We had biryani, kebabs, bang bang cauliflower and vegetable rice. There was also raita on the side. I made sure to take the details to compliment them and plan a visit to the restaurant to try the full menu. Thank you for the lovely food.

The food at Mumbai 7 is absolutely exquisite! Please order from here and you will not be disappointed. I ordered catering for an event and was astounded firstly at the service. I ordered Starters - Fish Pakora, Chicken Tikka Mains - Chicken Jalfrezi, Lamb Biryani (These two are on a different level) Everybody at the event were raving about the food and wanted details of where I made the order. The only sad thing that happened was, I wasn't able to take pictures of the food as everyone was stuffing themselves. Order here and thank me later

The restaurant is beautiful, the food was good. The masala chips were my absolute favourite, yummy! Pani puri plate had a good selection, but I prefer the original, haha. We got butter chicken, which was creamy and tasty. The Lamb karai curry was really nice and spicy. The food and service were good. I'd definitely recommend trying the place out.🫶

I have dining at several Indian restaurants, and this was by far the most memorable! From the friendly and accommodating service to the ambience, with amazing dishes on offer…what a treat! The food was not placed in front of you…it was PRESENTED…revealing tasty dishes, awesome Mocktails and desserts that merely melt in your mouth! Let’s start with the starters: ♥️Loved the Tandoori Prawns, Tandoori Chips (delicious). The cones were a really nice idea and well presented with condiments to compliment the starter. ♥️Big hit - Lamb Shank 😋 and Lamb Biryani ♥️Dessert - Loved, loved, loved the Pistachio Milk cake! I’ve never tried this type of cake before but it is probably one of the best desserts I’ve ever tasted! ♥️Mocktail with the dry ice in the tea pot!…INCREDIBLE. The presentation of all dishes were Michelin Star quality, as you can see from the photos and I would highly recommend dining at Mumbai7 for an unforgettable experience, whether to celebrate a special occasion or a nice place to dine.

The place is ok but the food came late especially the rice we got the bill and the waitress said she needs to ring her boss to take off the service bill very unprofessional in front of us slow service

Went in for lunch on Sunday. Waitress and restraunt must be under pressure as when she took our order wouldn't allow us to order a normal meal for 2, instead pushed a third main dish on us and extras, ended up taking away 3 full containers worth of food. Main issue however came when we asked to take the service charge off because the food was slow and our rice came very late into our meal, I was also dismayed about her tactics when taking our order, resulting in us over ordering. The waitress kept saying servjce charge wasn't possible to take off because the owner wasnt there, after a lengthy conversation about how we didn't want to pay service charge, she called the owner and took it off. She didn't even say goodbye or thank you after we paid, her demeanour changed completly ruining our experience completly. Absolutely digusted, I've been here a few times but won't be coming back. Customers shouldn't have to feel bad or guilty when ordering food, and should also not be scammed or emotionally blackmailed to pay service charge. Usually a good experience, restraunt must have fallen on hard times to employ these dirty tactics to make an extra penny or the management is putting a lot of pressure on it's staff which is unhealthy practice and makes for a negative dining experience. Will not go back.

Food is no tease to much grease and oil is to much

Dinned today, my friend had vouched about this restaurant, so thought of taking my family here. DECOR 9/10 The decor was mesmerizing. Amazing for a photo shoot, the rich gold and black combination gives you the feel of unparalleled luxury like the restaurants from central london. Toilets were clean and tidy, everything was at place. PARKING IS FREE FOOD 10/10 If you are tired of turkish platters and are looking for genuine soul satisfying indian food, this is your all time spot. STARTERS VADA PAV 9/10 The only place that serves true mumbai vada pav. CHILI CHICKEN 9/10 I dont know what they put in the sauce but it just got me drooling, the best chili chicken ever, just cant stop having it. LAMB CHOPS 10/10 The chops were huge, french trimmed, just to the point. I have tried chops at many places but this place definitely serves the best quality lamb chops. MAINS BOLLYWOOD BIRYANI, CHICKEN KADAI, LAMB KADAI. 10/10 DESSERTS PISTACHIO MILK CAKE, PASSION FRUIT AND MANGO CHESSE CAKE 9/10 If you are looking for a full fledged dinning experience with your family and have planned for indian food, this restaurant is on the top list, must visit.

We had a great experience at Mumbai 7 The food was flavoursome and reasonably priced. The service we received was so welcoming, thankyou Pooja we will definitely be back.

We tried 2 starters and 2 mains and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and flavours. We tried the paan chicken and lamb chops for starters and Nihari and Murg musallam for mains. The skill level of the chef was very evident from the fact that all 4 dishes were done to perfection. The chef knows a thing or two about Indian cooking. The kolapuri paratha was very tasty too. The staff was very polite and the restaurant was clean and well decorated. They do not serve alcohol which we did not miss with the great food. The only negative about the restaurant is that it is located quite far away from the city and quite a trek from central London. However, if you are a food lover and appreciate original Indian flavours, that should not get in your way.

So basically when we enter they welcome us veryyy gently. The service we got was very impressive. The person who working their her name is Anusha gave us very good costumer service tbh. I will recommend this place to go and check it out…. Try their food very tasty….

We went when we were having a sporadic storm with thunder & lightning. Due to the weather, it was very quiet but in some sense after a long week it was nice to be able to enjoy the music and catch-up with my dear friend. Also the music re-mix playlist was on point! Lovely to hear some classic tunes that had been blended remixed with new tunes...Nice! Lighting was perfect, not too low for the evening...Decor is cute and clean. Despite it being quiet, service was excellent. Staff were very welcoming when we walked in. Usually you'll find restaurants service being poor when it's quiet as floor staff relax and chat amongst themselves. But service there was fab. Having a medium range in the menu is a great idea, it may need a little tweeking as per customer requests in due time, which I saw the manager do when talking to the customers taking on board suggestions. But good because it means the dishes are perfected in training. Mocktail drinks came out and looked sooo cute and tasted gorgeous 😍. I ordered a Mumbai Dhinchaak as the ingredients are soo me! Elderflower, Pineapple, Ginger...loved it, yum! and my friend ordered a Bindas which is a refreshing lemony minty taste Mocktail. Food came out fresh and cooked well. The only two things I'd pick on is the garlic naan, I wish it was bigger in size, chunky / fluffier...it was a bit slim/thin for my liking, and portion size is a bit small for the price of each dish....those would have been the only flaw for me.

The decor is lovely and food was amazing. From the presentation, wait time and the taste, it’s definitely one that I would recommend. Not too spicy so just right for everyone. I was pleasantly surprised for the whole experience.

We tried this restaurant after recommendation from a friend.The decor was nice but the lighting was dim.But it came as a shame..the food starters chilli chicken tasted good however prawns,the chaats lacked taste.The quantity for the price was very little!the less talked the more better about the mains..everything we ordered were just below average than any ordinary takeaway! The staff who served us wasn’t friendly..didn’t give us complete menu ,and later she added that butter chicken was included in the menu although the old menu which they gave us didn’t have butter chicken on it !Tava puloa was bland and just ridiculous for the price!Only dish we enjoyed was chilli chicken and chips..so one star for the decor and one star as the food was served quick. They didn’t have much on dessert menu either which was a negative when you go with children. So are we recommending them or visiting again ..NO ..if you want to waste your money and time then it’s upto you!!

Before a week ago I visited Mumbai 7 with my kids the environment is very friendly and the owner behavior is excellent... Staff and food is beyond of my thinking... because our plan went to another restaurant but somehow we can't go their then once my friend suggested Mumbai 7 menu is limited but every single item is Worth it 👌 I suggest to everyone you should visit their..

Walked in here for the first time around 3pm today. Kitchen staff were friendly and welcoming. Restaurant was empty and only one staff. The asian waitress that approached me was not welcoming or friendly and didnt even smile or say hello. The menu was also very limited. I went to the ladies toilet there was no tissue there so I asked the waitress for a tissue. She completely ignored me and walked off. We then left. Service is very poor from this particular waitress so we left simply because of this.

Arzu was one of the best waiters who I’ve ever experienced,she gave us the best service and was always there when we needed something, without her the restaurant would not be the way it is, the food too was very delicious and I loved the smoke show with the drink thought it was very unique, thanks Mumbai 7 for the amazing experience!!

I had my post-wedding meal (walima) at Mumabi 7 on 29 April 2023. In the lead up to the event, my husband and I spoke regularly with Faizal (the owner) to communicate what was required. Faizal worked hard to ensure our needs were met. He provided different options, shared his experience of what worked and showed diligence when it came to dietary requirements – particularly allergens. For example, one of the guests suffered with a dairy and garlic intolerance, and Faizal and the staff at Mumabi7 produced a tailored menu to ensure the guest could enjoy the food. They also went to great efforts to ensure no cross-contamination. On the day of the event, Sunny (the restaurant manager), the chefs and kitchen staff, and the catering staff, all provided an outstanding service. Sunny was in constant communication with my husband and I to ensure the food was served in a timely manner, it was to the standard required and everyone enjoyed it. The food was outstanding: the lamb chops were succulent, the chicken curry (dockyard chicken boti masala) was flavoursome and the yellow tempered daal was cooked perfectly. It was evident that the ingredients used were of high quality and fresh, which made the food taste as nice as it did. Very impressed! Came with friends, we were not sure where to go that evening midweek, booked a table. The place was pretty empty on a Tuesday evening so we wondered how the food would be. However, the food was amazing. Lovely menu, not the usual boring Indian dishes. Fancy names for everything including drinks! It’s a fine dining place after all. We ordered a different starters that were spicy and nice on the taste palette. Main dishes were very delicious too and we were too full otherwise would have tried desserts too. It is well decorated and you can take loads of instagrammable photos there! I definitely recommend this place, whether for a date or just to have a night out with friends!

Wonderful place. Decor is nice and sleek. Food presentation is brilliant in a way which I haven’t seen before and most importantly the taste of the food matched the presentation! Some places care about presentation and not concentrate on flavour but this restaurant had both down to a tee! The mocktails were brilliant and packed with taste! Very affordable place to eat also! Not to mention the staff were really caring and inviting! They also have a little area where you can pray! Could not recommend Mumbai 7 enough! Thank you for the food and hospitality will definitely be visiting again!

This is a must try restaurant with no parking problems. The flavours of the food are very different to other restaurants and the mocktails are also amazing! The decor is modern and a warm welcoming smile from the chefs as you enter! Our server Arzoo, was just amazing, helping us with the menu and service with a smile. I went to Mumbai7 for a meal with family and I can honestly say the food was delicious! We ordered a variety of starters and they were all great in their own unique way - all freshly made with good quality ingredients, tasty and full of flavour - the curries were full of flavour too. The restaurant is very nice and the deco tasteful. Overall a great meal at a lovely restaurant. Highly recommend a visit!
