Love this place- best around!! In the 8 years I've eaten here (weekly!) I've probably only had 1 meal that wasn't over 8/10. Exceptional and 5 * rating on hygiene too!

So very disappointing! My god was so bright red, so strong it was overwhelming and not consistent with the same dishes I’ve had in any other Indian. I was unable to eat the dish so I had to ask them to make some change and add more cream for it to be edible. The 5 dishes we received were average and the quality was nothing like it was last time we visited. We were so disappointed as we’d taken family there so it was embarrassing. The other point to make is there was a service change added. Weirdly it was hidden on the bill in the middle and just had the descriptor as S/C. I had to ask what the charge was- apparently the menu stated there a service charge…. I didn’t see that. We were only a table of 5 so I was surprised. He offered to remove it, but it was the way it had been done that irked me. I paid it anyway. Won’t ever go back.

Three of us had an early dinner here on Thursday and, well I was honestly underwhelmed. Charged 80p for each pickle/dip accompanying the poppadoms, x6 chicken wings on the menu had become x3 but price was the same, Babu served us and it felt like he didn't want us there but whatever, had worse, had much better. My comment here Babu would be you are in the hospitality business, have a run at being hospitable! My friend asked if the meat was Halal, " we buy from cash and carry, it says Hala on the label. Makf that what you will". Was the response. I sincerely hope the take away / delivery side is on fire cos I won't be beating a path back there a d my friends were less than impressed. I couldn't eat the bahjees undercooked, oily and told Babu this. A drug of 5he shoulders said it all from his perspective. No discussion on how he could address my comments, the Biyrianni wasn't exactly hot either but I hope that this was an isolated issue and they were having a bad night. Listen, I can only tell you my experience and would encourage you to make your own minds up and try it for yourselves but don't say you weren't warned. OMG!!! I've had the best curry I've ever tasted. Chicken tikka in honey and mustard with pilau rice. I wish the place was nearer to where I live, as I'd have this every week if I could. Anyone who lives near or is visiting this place is very lucky. [And my friends enjoyed their meals too, along with the peaceful atmosphere and prompt, attentive service].

Ordered a takeaway on Sat 16th and ordered it for 8.15pm and arrived promptly but it has clearly been ready earlier. To top it all, a naan bread we paid for was missing. Disappointed.

We’ve been coming here for a while now and the food is excellent good value for money my husband loves the prawn achari and aloo gobi my go to dish is prawn rogan and the garlic fried rice is amazing. The staff are very friendly and approachable, with any requests.

Been using this establishment for years visiting friends ,the staff have changed and a older guy with glasses on is very rude in the middle of serving us stops and starts with some other customers,instead of dealing with the task in hand ,then on picking up takeaway and trying to make payment done the same again,so I jumped in and told him deal with one or the other ,the guy has NO CUSTOMER SKILLS whatsoever and will cost the business in the long run unless he is taught some skills ,and then the order was short of poppadoms, which will be pointed out on next visit

Went here for a meal with friends so food was good service good but due to the time of night the restaurant was a little empty .but apart from that it was giid

Yet again a lovely meal. Well presented and very tasty. Staff are always polite and helpful. They will explain the dishes if you are not sure what they are and will adjust the ingredients to your liking. Whether it’s a sit in meal or a takeaway it always tastes good! My self and my partner visited the restaurant with another couple on Saturday 15/4/23 and were left bitterly disappointed. After sitting down and ordering drinks we were looking forward to a pleasant evening. Things started to go wrong upon ordering our mains. A gentleman who appeared to be the manager came to take our order, he seemed very disinterested and annoyed by my request to make a mixed meat tikka masala, hotter. When our food arrived they had got my order wrong and given me a chicken tikka instead of the mixed meat tikka. I immediately informed the server but was quickly and impolitely told that I would have to wait 15 minutes for the correct curry. The manager was unapologetic and made it clear that changing my dish was of the upmost inconvenience to him. So I had to persevere with what I had so that I could have my meal with the rest of my party. After eating half the dish and feeling disappointed, we asked for the bill. After once again expressing my disappointment to the manager, I was reluctant to pay full price for my curry, and asked for this to be removed from the final bill. The manager told me that I should have raised my concerns at the time. I had done all of this so was not happy with this response. After raising this, the manager walked off without saying a word, and sent a waiter over to deal with us whilst he hid behind the bar. After paying, we left and said thank you to the staff. Although we were sent away with a charming dirty look from the manager. No apologies. No manners. No business from me in future.

Consistently great food coupled with fantastic service.

The take away was little late to say the least. We were told a 40 min wait so when we arrived five mins late we we expecting our takeaway to ready. Unfortunately we sat for a further 30 mins waiting. The food has always been good and it didn’t disappoint. However we were told that the restaurant would only take cash. This seemed bizarre as someone in the restaurant came up and paid by card. Clearly the management are trying pull a fast one. One rule for one and one rule for another. The older guy behind the bar said he was only following company rules. Absolute rubbish. Shame but we won’t go there again all because of less than 10p card processing.

We love this Indian - by far the best in the area. Great food, fresh, tasty and such good value. And they never over charge unlike other some others.

Great food as usual. Change of staff than last time and not as welcoming as before. Rather reluctant to give us a proper description of the bill as well but nether mind as cannot fault the food,the best in Rugby!

Went here recently as a family, the staff were really friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and the service was quick and attentive. The portion sizes are great and there’s a good selection of drinks. One thing to bear in mind is there is a steep staircase which for less mobile people may be tricky. There is no lift. Great central location in Dunchurch with easy access to parking. Prices are reasonable - definitely wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Been using Cinnamon lounge since day one many years ago. Have a curry every week from there and the staff are great, the food is fresh. In all that time in over 8 years or so I would say 99.9% have been 8/10 or more.

There are six of us in a curry club and each month we try somewhere new. The decor was smart The food was absolutely delicious Our bill is usually £35 - £45 each including drinks and tips. However, despite all the price rises, even with tip our bill was £30 per head. The only negative, the waiter was somewhat stern and not very friendly.

We went as a family and we didn’t book - we were greeted at the door and told that we should have booked. From then on we were treated so badly and the main man in charge that evening was so rude. We had to ask for drinks and even had to ask for the menu. Everything we needed we had to ask multiple times and everything took so long. We might as well of had the food thrown onto the table and were even asked to help clear it! I have to say that the food was good but that did not help the bad taste we had from how we were treated. Also please please check your bill - ours was wrong! Paying cash can save you 10% - bit worrying

I visited the Cinemon Lounge with friends on a Saturday night, after having a nice meal we asked for the bill (its a good job i checked it) there was four of us, i counted 4 mains and in between the mains which was hand written there was another amount of £7.95 which we couldn't work out what we had had for this amount. So i called the manager over and politely asked him what we were being charged £7.95 for? He looked at the bill and replyed: "well prices have gone up and we haven't put them up on the menu, so we are charging SERVICE CHARGE" (uurrr) In my experience when i have been charged service charge its always desplayed at the bottom of the bill and it clearly says service charge. Im wondering how many other people they have done this to and they have not checked their bill and also paid them a tip. Well i shall not be going there again thats for sure

While staying in the local area we wanted a curry to celebrate a birthday. We researched several local curry houses and chose Cinnamon Lounge and we are glad we did. Great food, plentiful portions and plenty of flavour. Well worth the money. If we ever happen to be back in the area then we will be back I'm sure.

Good food. A bit limited on the beer options, but a comfortable place to eat nonetheless.

You would think they would use fresh lettuce to accompany any meal that required salad. The salad with my onion bhajee was brown, clearly days old and way past it's best. Very disappointing, spoilt the whole experience. Lamb pathia, not the best either. This was a pre-order take-away and you never think to check the quality whilst on the premises. ☹️

The two words in the title say it all. My wife and I have been to the Cinnamon Lounge many times and continue to be amazed and delighted at the variety and quality of the food. The manager, Babu, is a very friendly and helpful gentleman and will, I am sure, go out of his way to ensure that customers are happy with the food and the service which are both excellent. Looking forward to many more visits.

Came in on a Friday night and had a lovely meal. Service was fast and polite. Curry was full of flavour and lots of tender meat, rice and naan also good quality. £34 for 2 people and beers very reasonable! Will be back again :)

Best curries I've ever had. I'd be willing to put money on these guys having the best curries in Warwickshire! The guys are great there and their food is amazing. I've never had a problem and I've been going at least once every 2 months for the past 5 years....don't judge me..

Taking my partner from Birmingham... we found this visit very entertaining.. Veg curry good.. Lamb was 4 pieces of meat in thick soup.. 'entertainment from a waiter' Coke was not cold. But possibly the worst thing was the service "No sorry I can't ask for another beer i do the food orders only"...???? Its 5 steps away...... And the what I assume is the manager was so grumpy.... there was no connection at all....but the the young guy behind the bar did smile and was polite x

Ordered food directly from the website. Was told it would be 45 minutes. No food came, when we called the restaurant they denied knowledge the website even existed and hung up. I’d avoid because mainly they lack basic courtesy. Try Malancha instead (just down the road) nicer food and better manners.

we live in Devon, and visited Cinnamon as we were in the area for the Dog Show, the food was delicious, great service and will certainly be back when up again next. Special call out to the man we assumed was a manager, looked after us all night , great place

The smell that greets you should be enough to put you off but if you do decide to stay be prepared for the rude and absolutely appalling customer service. The no frills tables and seating has seen better days and the menu overly extensive. The food, when it arrived was swimming in gee and tasteless, my kamb curry had a total of 4 prices of lamb which were chewy, the rice and popadoms were acceptable and the naan undercooked and bland. My friends curry was sour and unpleasant. We were asked how our meal was and we responded with our views and received no response! No apology no suggestion of an alternative, just nothing! We were left sat for an hour with no drinks, no offer of coffee or desert so we finally asked for the bill. There was no reduction to compensate for our appalling meals. As we left we had a glimpse of the kitchen and would advise anyone not to eat in this establishment

Customer service shocking, food was nice enough, but staff were rude and forgot some of our order. Then told its £20 cheaper if pay in cash.

Chicken on the wings was clearly days old, had the taste and smell of rotting chicken, called in and they said they will 'speak to the chef', and thanks for the feedback (LOL). pilau rice was sweet??? and to top it off, the driver can't come up one flight of stairs because of covid. there are no restrictions anywhere except in your mind

After a days fishing on Draycott water 8 of us sat down to an excellent meal, staff of highest quality, nothing too much trouble. 👍

The restaurant has a nice and comfortable layout. However the portion sizes are small. I had the crispy prawn and mix kebab starter and it was literally 4 to 5 small prawns on a plate next to a lemon and lettuce. plenty of luttuce. same with the mixed kebabs which also had an onion bhaji😒. small and few. the main dishes had only a few pieces of meat also. the service were nice until we had an issue, before ordering we asked whether a dish would be sweet or if it can be made spicy instead to which the server confidently advised that they can make it spicy instead of sweet. when the dish arrived it turned out sweet, the server took it back and brought it again a few minutes later. when tried they had only added chilli powder on top of it to which we returned the dish. they still charged us for the dish saying it was our fault for ordering a sweet dish when i had specifically asked before ordering whether it can be spicy and not sweet. the waiter walked away mid-conversation. it isn't worth the price.

We chose to go to Cinnamon Lounge for dinner, based on locality. The existing reviews were very good, we were not disappointed and we had the most fabulous food delivered to our table. I had the Dhansak and it was the best curry I have...

Curry fans-we called in on the speck as we were passing through the town-the meal was absolutely delicious-my 2 friends opted for a chicken curry and I took the gamble and had a lamb dish-the lamb was succulent and chunky-it was worth the punt-the spices...

Lamb sag was tasty. Tadka dall was good as well.

It was fine. The meal was to a good standard. The gentleman who handed the meal over could have done with acknowledging me as he put the meal down he just talked to the drivers waiting. I wasn't even sure it was mine to be honest. And l'd spent a lot of money. (Maybe he had had a bad day)

Been using these guys for about half a year now and the curry is always consistently delicious. I recommend the Pathia dishes if you like a little kick and the tandoori chicken biryani is so good.

Will never order food from here again. Ordered takeaway at 5PM for collection at 6:30PM. Waited at the Cinnamon Lounge for 1.5 hours until 8PM. Continuously lied to and told it would be 5 mins. I had prepaid with an online order and it seems people who had not prepaid got their food faster. I know it was New Years Eve but this was just pure greed taking more orders than they could handle. If the 1.5 hour wait wasn't bad enough, they didn't even have the heating on and it was about 0 degrees inside. I guess this is to again maximise their profits. To put icing on the cake our food was totally cold - not even slightly warm - that cold it needed 5 minutes in the microwave. Guess it was precooked and stored in a Fridge and they forgot to heat it up. Luckily we don't have food poisoning. AVOID. NOT HOW YOU TREAT PAYING CUSTOMERS. Pity I can't give it 0 stars.

Food ordered for pickup at 6:45. At 7:35 still waiting on packed staircase with people coughing around me. No one way system. Not Covid safe what so ever and a danger to health. I will never use this place again and would advise all too...

great food but a very long wait

We ordered from here and a time frame was not provided for delivery and when the food finally arrived it was greasy and the poppadoms where missing. We phoned to ask if the poppadoms could be sent and we were originally told to “go on the website and retrieve our money”. Then when we said we were unable to do this we were told to drive to dunchurch to collect the money (the fuel would cost more). We told the man on the phone to leave it. The people working here have no empathy.

Ordered a delivery at 6.40 with an estimated waiting time of 70 mins, which was fine. Food actually arrived at 9.35. Numerous phone calls, blatantly lied to several times, saying food had left. One meal was substituted for something we didn't order. Overpriced for what...

EVERYONE BOYCOTT THIS PLACE. Ordered food from here on JustEat yesterday, food was due to arrive at 6:45pm, rang at 7:00 saying my food was due 15 mins ago and got a rude response without an apology. 8:00 1 hour later we rang again and was told 8:15 but didn't arrive until 8:45; 2 hours of my life I'll never get back again! Quality was decent but quantity was poor and to add insult to injury my missus asked for some money back but they refused. Please do not eat in/take out from this place, they don't deserve your money.

Where do I start it was a terrible experience from the start ! Booking system took over 24 hours to confirm the booking after two attempts but after the visit wish they had never replied. Shown to a table where I would have been practically sat on a stranger's lap we refused to sit there and opted for a table the other side of the restaurant no social distancing being observed Then the food the poppadoms were bought within second and then we were offered a drink about 20 mins after. Main course order was not taken for over half an hour. Dips with poppadoms were weird onion salad coated in a strange tomatoe sauce, yoghurt and mint tasteless and a jammmy effort and some other sauce like ketchup none had any Indian flavours The main course the rice was cold despite being bought out in a covered dish the Lamb chilli Gosht was like a three day old mutton stew you nan made no Indian flavours, no chilli, the garlic naan bread was ok but a weird doughy texture and tasteless no garlic in it ! The service was diabolical ordered a second glass of wine only to be told I don't do drinks go to the bar yourself. Pubs are all offering table service now but this establishment does the opposite I have never been to a restaurant and been expected to get my own wine from the bar. The staff are clueless, the food was diabolical and as for track and trace it was only when we commented rather loudly that it hadn't been done they bought us a book the last entry was 4/9/2020 we visited on the 26/9/2020 so tack and trace clearly not been carried out. In my opinion Stear clear of this one there's a lot of improvement needed apparently changed hands since the good reviews

Food is very good, but the service was very slow tonight. We waited half an hour between our starter and main and 20 mins for a drink. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would have been 4 stars if not for the waiting times.

I’ve tried all of the Indian restaurants in Rugby and all of those that only offer take away. The food at this restaurant is far superior to all. The dishes come out well presented and lovingly prepared. After my first visit this week, it will now become my regular.

Many missing or wrong items, infuriating long wait for correct items which ruined our meal. If you value your time, sanity and prefer to eat as a family, avoid this place.

Truly amazing, all our food was spot on, 10/10. The mushroom jalfrezzi incredible, and the chicken Biriani was so refreshing. Best Indian around.

Best curry house in Rugby buy your drink down stairs at the club if you like a bitter

In recent weeks the restaurant now offers two main dishes for the price of one on a Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. So the great food and friendly service is now even cheaper! Wonderful value for money!

This is very good restaurant serving Indian food. The food is superb, and the service polite, prompt but not intrusive. It was the first time ever, that I have been asked how hot I would like my jalferzi! The decor was modern and clean with no irritating music so my husband and I could enjoy each others company and the food (it was our anniversary). I had previously been with a large group - 36 and that had been a good experience too. The only slight negative is that the restaurant is accessed by a steep staircase which is not disable friendly.

First time visited Cinammon Lounge and were pleasantly surprised. It's up some stairs so may not be accessible for everyone.We had tandoori chicken as a starter and it was a huge portion and very good. We also ordered 2 pints of lager, lamb passanda (creamy almond sauce), lamb dhansak (hot with lentil sauce), veg side, pilau rice and garlic naan. Good sized portions and tasty curries for just over £40 which we thought was a reasonable price.Our only criticism was that the naan wasn't cooked long enough so wasn't crispy, puffy or garlicky.However we will definitely visit again when we're in the area.

We have tried a few Indian restaurants but this is definitely the best. Great menu and they will change or add anything to your liking. Food is delicious and always plenty of it. There is an offer now for 2 for 1 on main meals Sunday Monday and Tuesday when eating in. Definitely worth a try.

I decided to try Cinnamon Lounge after a long break on advice from a friend: I was not disappointed. I had the Chicken tikka Pathia which was delicious and fresh. The service was excellent and the welcome warm. Ask for your poppadums to be roasted Also Sunday through Tuesday is two for one on mains! Bang goes my diet!

The Cinnamon Lounge in Dunchurch near Rugby is almost my nearest Indian Restaurant but the one to which my wife and I constantly return for these reasons:1, The food is consistently and absolutely delicious and of the highest quality.2. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous.3.The prices reflect very good value for money.Babu the manager and Adil his assistant have become dependable friends over the years and so when desirous of Indian food there is nowhere else we would rather go.Last night (5th January 2020), I enjoyed the tastiest chicken tandoori imaginable accompanied by a very tender chapatti and some exquisite tarka dhal washed down with Cobra. A meal I frequently choose and one which never fails to please to the utmost.Also I was interested to learn that the restaurant will soon be offering a time-limited "buy one get one free" offer on Sunday , Monday and Tuesday evenings. My advice to anyone wanting to experience the joy of tasting fabulous Indian cuisine is to get along soon.

We eat here every two to three weeks. We are always made very welcome and when we order our food we are always asked just how hot we want each particular dish. The service is always excellent and the prices are very reasonable. We have never been pressured into ordering more drinks though only having bottled beer is a shame. Looking forward to a return visit very soon!

Firstly let me begin by telling you that the car parking is scarce. Nothing to do with the restaurant but just be aware of it.The restaurant is upstairs and whilst it is nice inside the acoustics are terrible. Voices reverberate all around and for me it was uncomfortable. We could hear conversations around us. No draught lager yet the drinks menue states by pint. Only bottles available.The menu is good as is the food, however no one asked if we were enjoying it. They did ask often if we wanted more drinks. Some attention to the customer would have been appreciated as we were on the stairwell before a member of staff shouted goodbye. Good food but not a return visit for us.

Ordered take away, the food was fairly good, but there were undeclared peanuts in the cinnamon lounge special curry which left me feeling ill. Unimpressed with not declaring allergens properly

I ordered take away from the cinnamon lounge, and the service was fine and good quickly made. However, on eating the Cinnamon Lounge special curry it became quickly evident that there were peanuts in it which I am allergic to and were not declared on the menu. I know they usually say"we cannot guarantee nut free" but usually I don't react unless there's a large amount of nuts in something.

Visited here for our anniversary in August - the restaurant is lovely and although quite a small place can fit a lot of tables in. The service was really good throughout, meals were really delicious and lots of choice on the menu. The portions were good, and prices very reasonable. We will definitely come back here!

Organised a Xmas Meal for Dunchurch Slimming World group for approximately 25 Xmas 2018 at quite late notice. The experience was fabulous- the menu was carefully thought out with a selection of curries and sides . The staff were fabulous - the food all arrived piping hot at the same time and there was plenty of it at a very reasonable price! I know everyone had a great night x
