I placed the order around 6.30pm and chose the delivery time slot of 7.30pm but the order did not arrive until 8.30pm! The delivery driver explained that the place was very disorganised and not well run. unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened so I will be going elsewhere next time I order.

Really enjoyed our meal, generous portions and very tasty.

Great delicious food. Took a little while to be delivered but Saturdays are busy so we understand. It was hot and fresh when it arrived. Definitely would order from here again.

The food never arrived. And the delivery guy was making all kinds of excuses. He was impolite and so was the restaurant manager.

Food tasted nice, took just over 2 hours from ordering and was an hour late, meaning it was relatively cold.

Food was late, only after contacting the restaurant was the delivery time updated to a later time. Food still failed to arrive in line with the new delivery time. Overall food arrived over 1 hour late from original delivery time. No proactive update from the restaurant, had to chase several times. Not great service, restaurant was very unhelpful.

Continued quality food efficiently delivered.

We delivered at 5:37pm and it arrived at 7:30pm. We rang twice and they keep saying 5/10 mins. When they arrived they said they don’t delivery here!? Additionally to all this we missed 1 curry off the order (1 chicken Dhansak).

The food was delicious and the delivery driver was really accommodating even though our house is very hard to find. Would definitely recommend this place! The curries were flavorful and had a nice kick without being too spicy.

As always, the meal was very good. However, it arrived well over an hour late. Furthermore, the delivery driver rang the doorbell and left the meal on the doorstep. Presumably embarrassed at the delay. A shame as I have been very impressed up to now.

Order never arrived, restaurant said they delivered however house said it wasn’t there house and also called a number which a man answered and said wasn’t there order. Called the restaurant the man was not understanding what I was saying and repeating himself. No food arrived at all.

Order never arrived and they won’t answer the phone. Appreciate it NYE but ignoring customers and not delivering their food isn’t unacceptable. Will never order from them again

The food was Cold ! The Chicken , Nan Bread . Did phone to tell them. No response!

Booked for 7. Arrived 8.45. On line claimed food was on the way before 7.15 but rang at 7.30 and driver had not left

Took nearly 2 hours. Poppadoms were soggy. One dish quite watery but tasted ok.

Delivery took over 2 hours, food only just warm. When ordering chicken dishes maybe state that it’s tandoori and not plain. Unfortunately won’t be using again

Main meals were really nice as usual however our one issue on this order was that we did not receive all the normal chutneys and dips we normally do when we order poppadoms… i.e. no mango chutney only chilli this time

Although the delivery was late, the driver was apologetic and the food was excellent. Definitely the best curry and side dishes I have had for a long time.

Ive never had a bad meal from curry cottage before, but tonight was the first time in years I’ve had an ok meal, the chips were almost cold, the tikka masala didn’t have as much sauce as usual and the I ordered a peshwari naan and had a plain one turn up, and the order was 30 minutes late however I understand places are busy and the delivery guy did apologise for the delay

Chicken korma was disappointing no coconut in tasteless will not being ordering again took pictures and not yellow like it’s supposed to be

The lamb was so chewy that it was impossible to eat, food was spilled in transit and delivery was late. never had this experience before but today it was down on both the parameters Food quality n delivery so will avoid this restaurant in future.

This takeaway normally serves the best Indian food but on this occasion was so disappointing. The food tasted bland and the Parata was burnt and tasted awful. Rang takeaway restaurant and they apologiesxandcwould give a free parata next time. On a positive side, the onion Bhaji's are the best I have ever tasted

This has got to be the worst place I've eaten in years! The place is a proper joke, I don't get how it is still trading. Waited nearly 2 hours for my food to come, after about an hour and a bit I phoned to see the progress as I started to get worried. I was then passed to the manager who was abusive as soon as he got on the phone, swearing at me and offering to 'meet up' with me to punch my lights out all over a curry. Never seen anything like it in my life, I would rather starve then eat here again!

Palak paneer was absolutely lovely roti nice, salad and sauce loved it, Just one thing the tandoori chicken I believe was over seasoned and a lot of oil in the tray. but overall enjoyed my meal

Food had a sour taste, no other flavour, I ordered king prawn biriyani, it came with one prawn. The mixed grill was so sour had to throw away.

I ordered king prawn vindaloo and paid £3 for extra king prawn, I got 4 prawns ,naan was undercooked and doughy, nargis kebab was really nice though

First time trying these and we were extremely impressed. was absolutely delicious, requested my curry in notes if could be made alittle less spicy and they did this for me which was much appreciated, everything was enjoyed. Two currys were tasty, rice was lovely, the breads were lovely and the free onion bhajis were very tasty. Highly recommended,definitely found our new curry house 😋

Ordered at 18:35, Order was due to arrive at 19:15, arrived 20:10, tried texting for an update through just eat, no response, I called the restaurant at 19:55 and was told it will be there in 10 mins, with no apology or explanation as to why it was so late. Food was nice however this is the 3rd time it was a lot later delivered than advised.

was late. refused to refund any money. was delayed 10 minutes, then another 10 min minutes and then another 30 minutes after that. was ridiculous as planned dinner to fit on with plans but in the end had to keep it warm for over an hour after delivery

Excellent food and despite being late it was still nice and hot. Very tasty and nice fresh spice flavours.

First time we've ordered from here- found the spice descriptions slightly milder than what I've come to expect from other places, however, lovely and well balanced flavours that are a taste sensation!

The food is usually great although the delivery is always always late. It is shameful that the owner thinks it is funny when people give him a bad review, see google and Just Eat reviews for his unacceptable response when customers leave a comment he doesnt like!

Order was late. Food wasn’t great. Tandoori was so salty couldn’t finish it. The nann breads were rubbery and the whole lot was lukewarm. Won’t be ordering again. Staff very friendly though and the delivery driver was lovely. Just awful food.

Ordered on Just Eat and confirmed at 18.15. Had an acknowledgment then a confirmation that the order way on the way at 7pm. By 19.35 it had not arrived so I called to question where it was. I was told the driver had multiple deliveries and would be with me.. I was concerned the food would be cold on arrival so having previously used Curry Cottage on ‘many occasions I asked to speak to the manager. He came on the phone with an incredibly aggressive attitude and said I had been disrespectful to his member of staff. If stating that knowing the owner was not the lad I was talking to was not the owner and requesting to speak to him is disrespectful then yes but I don’t believe so. He simply cancelled my order and told me I wasn’t getting any dinner an hour and 45 minutes after ordering. More fool him as he has now lost a regular customer and what’s more he has wasted food riding around in a vehicle somewhere!

Always late!!! Great food but cannot be replied upon to deliver in a timely manner. If you have a choice order elsewhere. Manager becomes aggressive when you can after waiting 30 minutes after notification it is on the way. Said I was disrespectful to his staff member but simply stated he wasn’t the owner and I wanted to speak to the owner! His resolution? Spite me by cancelling my food 90 minutes after ordering it….. really very poor and such a shame as have ordered many many times and y

Over an hour late. Est delivery time 19:15-19:35. Food arrived at 20:30. Food was ok and hot so no complaints there.
