Curry Club Rugby Indian Restaurant in Rugby

Ordered food online through Uber Eats Yesterday, They called me and said that they have some issue in their kitchen and my order will take 2 hours to get prepared. They told that they can cancel my order if I am not ready to wait that long for which I replied, please cancel my order. They cancelled the order but informed Uber that they have started preparing food because of which I was charged full amount for the order placed. This restaurant should not keep themselves available when they have problems in their kitchen and cannot deliver the order in time.

We went for an all you can eat breakfast buffet. It was scrumptious and delicious, with each dish prepared with love to perfection. The service was very warm and welcoming. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit to Rugby.

Ordered a few times and has been okay. But tonight order the food was very late. An item was missing upon delivery . Spoke to the restaurant and they said they would send a replacement but they never did. One of the mains we did receive was ridiculously over spiced so couldn’t even eat it. Will not order from here again.

Terrible quality restaurant, food delivered cold , and not cooked properly after they claimed that it was delivered 30 mins earlier !! Unprofessional Go to any other restaurant but don't eat there at all costs ! You are paying for a disservice and for terrible food

Very disappointed gone for dine in with my daughters , food was ok , but my food was served in side plates instead of dinner plates ,we were struggled to had in that plates but noticed rest tables were served by dinner plates

I had a delivery ordered online but no one let me know it was ready to pick up. I was meant to receive an email but got nothing. After an hour I went in and they said it had been sitting in the kitchen for 45 minutes. Food was alright. Nothing special.

ABSOLUTELY NOT ACCEPTABLE..Food was a disgrace.This wouldn’t be served if you were dining in.Salty chicken mushed spinach.Disgraceful to say the least never again

We had a lovely meal here, ordered 3 different dishes, 3 different naan breads and rice. All of us loved our meals, the service and staff are amazing. They even took the effort to create a curry for the vegetarian of our group. Would definitely recommend

Visited here for the 1st time and was very dissapointed. We were not shown any menus on arrival, however we knew we wanted aloo parathey. We were brought out 1 paratha out each (we had to order raita separately) which is odd as all other places give 2 parathey each for a serving. I asked for the 2nd ones and the owner said those were coming. The parathey themselves were very thin, oily with hardly any aloo filling. During our experience, we were not offered any water. I was shocked to know our bill was £25 for 2 parathey each (2 people), 1 plain paratha, and 1 raitha. When I queried this, I was told it is only 1 paratha per serving, so by us asking for 2 parathey, we were charged double. £10 each (£20 in total) for 2 parathey is outrageous and frankly a complete rip off. I would not dine here again or recommend this place to anyone regrettably.

Had a takeaway for Xmas dinner today 2024 it was disguting the tandoori mixed grill was that burnt that you could hardly see the chicken inside it the meat samosa s were made with the wrong pastry as soon as it was getting cold it was unbeatable as the delivery driver couldn’t find the right address. I wouldn’t mind but I ordered over £100 worth for most of it ended in the bin. I can say the salad was about the only thing enjoyable. Never again will I use this curry club Indian. If you can’t cook the food to an enjoyable level then you shouldn’t add takeaway on busy days

First time ordering from Curry Club and the last! Food arrived late and cold. Most of the meal was inedible! Raw paratha (not the one we ordered) korma tasting of dirty oil and coconut, the consistency was disgusting! tikka madras watery and tasteless, we ate very little. never had such a bad Indian meal and won’t be using this restaurant again £50-£60 Terrible tummy ache all night and this morning the inevitable 🙈 Update! Curry Club said a refund had been agreed with Bookyup on reference 911 (comical I know!) called Bookyup and they called Curry Club who told them NOT to refund us. Called Curry Club back and they said no refund as we left a negative review! I’ve been ill all day. Avoid avoid avoid!

Really exceptional service. Given advice about ‘heat’ and flavour even though I knew what I wanted. Chef came to discuss several times. Clearly invested in his customers. Great curry, exactly as requested.

I had seen the flow of great reviews on the website and thought I’d give Curry Club a try. And I’m glad I did. The food was absolutely amazing and I will surely visit again.

Meal ordered 18th October for 6:30 finally arrived an hour late despite assurances it will be ‘2 minutes’ and left on the doorstep. Cold! Have used Curry Club for years and usually excellent but I’m having second thoughts about continuing.

Excellent service. Lovely food. Shame current owner has sold up. New owner will have big shoes to fill once he takes over fully. New owner will be getting a licence to sell alcohol, so BYO will end soon. Currently if you do BYO be careful as they look to charge £2 per bottle/drink for drinking on the premises.

We've been to the curry club a few times over recent years and each time always excellent food and service. this time wasnt an exception 3 of us went, me, my husband and his son friendly welcome and shown to a table starters and mains ordered, plus some sides as always food lovely and hot and nicely presented. had some leftovers so took them away to enjoy for lunch the following day! Ray the owner and manager is lovely and we always enjoy chatting to him so another great meal and evening. 10/10

They provide left over food or uncooked food! Worst quality as well as quantity. I don’t recommend at all- please stay healthy by not having their food.

We are one of many other victims of restaurant., spoiled food and especially cheap, nuisance, NON-SENSE, absolutely silly arguments from owner PRASHANTH for asking itemised bill.. and ended up paying 548£ WITHOUT BILL for group 16 ( End of cricket curry night) we have recommended and booked this place for our end of cricket season dinner last night.. It ended up very very unpleasant and even cops had to come to that place because the owner Prashanth called and framed us as DRUNKERs. Food was awful and he charged us 548£ for 16 of us… In that serving he is claiming that he served 80 papadams 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️.. which means more than 4 per person 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ When we asked to give itemised bill 🧾 he started talking non sense and he called cops… he mentioned us DRUNKERs. (He himself asked us to bring alcohol from outside ) Posting some videos below. Later I came to that he has this kind of nuisance with many others, and they even sent me conversations happened with him *Imp*: Toilets have manual locks from inside, one of our friend got locked out in the toilet while night. NOT SAFE FOR CHILDREN TO USE TOILETS IN THIS PLACE

Had a lovely meal at Curry Club, warm and welcoming. Lovely staff & very good service. The curries were tasty (maybe butter chicken lacking a bit of flavour), with good quality chicken, chicken chaat & paneer tikka were great, big portions. Price was pretty reasonable for all the food we had.

Staying at the Travelodge down the road. Found the perfect curry house, food was outstanding and fresh, service was brilliant. Hopefully I come back with work so I can hit up the Curry club again.

Best place to visit especially on a Sunday morning - unlimited tasty breakfast. Varied spread of buffet which is served at the table. Starting with Idli Vadai, Dosai, aloo paratha made by Simran was 😋 yummy.

Excellent food and attentive service. I’ve enjoyed standard ‘curries’ for many years, but the Breakfast buffet (cooked to order) was a new experience for me and a step up in terms of freshness and flavour. Superb value.

I like to think I know a good tasty Indian restaurant but this restaurant very much exceeded my expectations it was fabulous. my Chicken Jalfrezi was perfect , actually everything was perfect , the rice , poppadoms , nan breads . Plenty of food I couldn't eat it all. 100% delicious - and you can also bring your own wine . Staff were very friendly and attentive and the restaurant was clean and bright. If I'm ever visiting rugby again I will book this restaurant again . You're so lucky to have it as your local .

Ordered a take away tonight and was extremely disappointed. All of the food was completely bland, we ordered fairly mild food but there was absolutely no flavour to it at all! No taste to the "free" onion bhajis, no taste to the garlic naans, the sauce for my meal was watery and flavourless, even the dips for the poppadoms were watery and tasteless. I hate to say it but it was the worst meal I've had. Shame as was really looking forward to it judging by the reviews. Maybe chef had an off day.....won't be ordering from here again.

Staff were lovely but the food was awful - like a boiled, unflavoured chicken breast had been dropped in coconut milk as an afterthought. Could not finish either of our meals and wouldn't take the rest home. Also we were offered "complimentary" bhajis at the start and we're then charged these on the bill and had to dispute. Would not recommend.

Spent a work training week up in Rugby, off the back of my first night's meal with them, ate every night at Curry Club. Top-tier service with a natural friendliness and tasty good value curries. Good luck to them!

Just the kindest and nicest staff who have welcomed my family for years - my dad passed away and it was his favourite restaurant and every time they remember us and remember details about us it’s so heartwarming. Plus really delicious food that never disappoints! Can’t recommend highly enough. FYI it’s BYO if you dine in 🩵

we've eaten at Curry Club many times and this time we went with some other friends for a birthday celebration. As always the food and service was 10/10! all had starters, mains and sides. they also kindly stored a birthday cake we brought with us (we checked before hand it was ok to bring it). we gave the owners a big slice to share to say thank you! We love Curry Club and we will of course be returning! Note - Curry Club is closed on Tuesdays. their website however hasn't been updated to show this.

Service was very good and the gentleman that served me was polite and helpful. However the food was probably the worst curry that I’ve ever had. Chicken tikka masala that tasted like a Chinese chicken curry, no sweetness at all. The lamb Bhuna was bland. Ended up throwing both out and having something else for dinner. Unfortunately won’t be back

I was in Rugby for work with a colleague and last minute needed somewhere to eat. Owners were very polite in accommodating us and making sure we would looked after as they had a large party due to arrive. Very quick with good tasting food. The freshly cooked bread here (poppadoms and naans) are absolutely out of this world, some of the best I've ever had. Great place to eat.

my partner and I took our friend to curry club last night and wish we hadn't !!! only one waiter dashing around like a headless chicken so had to wait. the chicken tikka masala was completly TASTELESS- we would rather have had less content and MORE FLAVOUR! we asked for the bill and when we checked it-charged £11.95 for each curry and £9.95 in the menu!!! other items were wrong as well. We should have listened to TRIP ADVISOR (read few reviews earlier) ADVISE AGAINST GOING HERE-STAY HOME AND SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

Came here for the second time with family, food was nice and had a nice atmosphere, waiter was friendly, however we’ve got home to find that we were overcharged for all of our meals, the bill says that each of our curry’s were £11.95 but all should have been between £7.95 and £10.95. This isn’t acceptable. Won’t be returning.

To be honest I was very disappointed with our meal on this visit. I'll keep my review short, my partners meal was supposed to be mild but was very spicy, it was changed to her satisfaction but this meant I was eating while she waited. To be honest I found the chicken in my meal over cooked. . We just finished our meals and paid then left. We didn't realise they didn't serve Alcohol, perhaps they should respond that this is the case when confirming booking as walking to the off licence at the top of the road is ok on a warm night but this night wasn't warm.

Had an amazing takeaway last night from this restaurant. The staff are always so friendly at the door and in the restaurant. Food always top quality. Would certainly recommend.

Friendly service and excellent food. We were also given a lift back to our accommodation. Faultless.

The best Indian in Rugby. Ray in particular is superb, amazing customer service and very friendly and lovely chap. Food is always delicious and comes out quick enough but not too quick! You can bring your own alcohol too

This is the second time we have eaten at the Curry Club. It’s the best Indian restaurant in Rugby! I am vegetarian and I really enjoyed the vegetable bhuna. The dish was well cooked, delicious seasonal vegetables cooked in a rich and creamy roasted spice sauce. It goes well with basmati rice or naan bread. My best friend enjoyed the chicken tikka masala. Great service too!

6.30.excellent service and food. Pathia, Masala, Butter chicken and Paneer Bhuna all spot on. Sauces with poppadoms are the best we've had anywhere. My brother from abroad favourite curry house.

While on holiday on a narrow boat we walked from the canal to the Curry Club. This was our first time in Rugby and fancied a curry. And wow we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and I highly recommend a visit. Also a huge thank you to Rubel, who looked after us for the evening. Offering a very friendly welcome and great service throughout the evening.

We went on a Wednesday Evening and the staff and food was good but we asked about the special offer £9.95 Sunday to Thursday and they said it is only for the takeaway so ....................... That information in this TripAdvisor is not accurate. And that is why I have only given 3 stars. We had the place all to ourselves, 3 persons.

my husband and i love this place! we went this time with 4 other friends, 2 not been before and they came away as fans of Curry Club. friendly welcome as always on arrival. we all had starters and they were 10/10, empty plates all round. the mains and sides we had all went apart from little of mine which i took away to have another time. as it was a Sunday evening the restaurant was very quiet, but we didn't mind that. we'll be back again at some point im sure, the food and service here is always excellent!

Delivery was 35 minutes, amazing. Ordered a variety of food for three people and everything was delicious, we could not fault anything. very reasonably priced a lot cheaper than other places. First time ordering but definitely not the last.

The owner declined my order because I only wanted to order a curry and naan bread. He thought it not worth his while. He was arrogant and rude.

We were staying at the Travelodge nearby and the walking distance and reviews inspired us to try Curry Club for dinner. What a find! We enjoyed it so much that we took friends back the next evening. Two great experiences two nights is a row. The friendliest, most helpful and polite gentlemen at reception, brilliant service, relaxed atmosphere and amazing food. You feel completely at home and not at all rushed to order and eat to give up your table. They couldn’t have done more for us. Thoroughly enjoyed both evenings and couldn’t recommend more. It’s a ‘bring your own alcohol’ so stock up and take it with you for a long and enjoyable evening. Best dining experience in a long time.

Tonight we ordered takeaway, I had the Paneer Tikka Wrap and cheesy chips. The wrap was inedible, thick and stodgy, I think they forgot the tikka spices for the paneer and there barely any of it! and it was so! Dry. The cheesy chips had a minuscule amount of flavourless cheese on just the top ones. All in all, very disappointing, however, it has to be said that the other 3 people I was dining with, really enjoyed their meals.

Visited here after a great day out at Wembley, we were staying in the Travelodge near the train station, it’s a 10 minute walk from there. It’s was a Sunday night around 8:30 when we arrived, so not very busy at all, so we got a table no problem, might be a different story on a Saturday night at peak times. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they don’t serve their own alcohol, but the gent who took out order pointed me in the direction of a local off licence, 150 m down the same street. We had poppadoms, mixed Keebab starter, I had mixed balti, my daughter had a mixed tawa, garlic naan and saag paneer. All the food was hot and tasty with just the right amount of spice and heat for us both. All in all a great meal to a fantastic day out at Wembley stadium. Give this place a go you won’t be disappointed 👍🏼
