The best curry house in Rugby! The service is very friendly and efficient. We prefer eating in. They have ice-cold Cobra on the tap. The food is fantastic, I love the Sea bass special. The food is always fresh and tasty! My husband tends to opt for lamb options; the meat is always so tender. My son loves the veg curry and paneer korma. The sizzling tawas are fantastic also. Can't wait to come back!

This is one of the best Indian meals we have had!! It was tasty and freshly cooked! Delivery said 60 mins ish but it was probably about 1hr30. The team were friendly when I called up. Would recommend!!

Very unfortunate first order. We were very excited given that this one was hyped up to us. Out of the 4 items we ordered, 2 were wrong. As a vegetarian, getting a naan filled with lamb instead of the regular one we ordered was very unfortunate. The masala we both ordered was also very sickly sweet, it's feeling like we're eating dessert instead. It's too bad given we were really excited for our dinner.

I loved this place but have just discovered they are halal, very disappointing and a definite turn off for me going forward.

Best Indian around. Had a few times and always great but tonight ordered via Uber eats and messed up delivery address (my fault) but they still got the order to me in great time and piping hot! Plus delivery driver was awesome. Will order every time from here

Since discovering this Indian restaurant several years ago, we don't go anywhere else - even after moving 15 miles away. It's truly worth the 1hr round trip! Food is always freshly prepared (you can tell from the slight variance to the same ordered items each time) and is always absolutely delicious. Generous portion sizes too, and (for takeaways) always very securely packed so no in-car spills. A fabulous place.

You might want to check the sweetness level of masala dishes before ordering. Never had such sweet deserts in the name of masala . This review is from an Indian who is born and brought up in India . No mention of sweetness levels in the menu. Ironic that it's called spice lounge, more like sugar lounge.

We ordered from here on Christmas Eve and the food wasn’t great. We thought we would give it one last try on NYE and wished we hadn’t. Very disappointed with the food from Spice Lounge on NYE. One main was missing from the collection and had to return, felt staff didn’t believe it was missing. Ruined the rest of the meal as it had become cold while collecting the masala. The tikka masala sauce was extremely dark (normally a red colour however this was dark brown) and lacked an almond, cream taste/ texture. The balti sauce was very salty and not the usual flavour. The tikka chicken wasn’t the usual standard and was quite tough and some bits were burnt. The paneer in the sag was only just cooked. This was our go to Indian however we will now be going elsewhere. They can’t seem to cope when it’s busy and the quality of the mains have declined in recent months.

From the time we ordered to the time we got our food it had been close to 3 hours, rang 2 hours in to see what was going on, staff just said it was with the driver, no urgency. But, by the time it turned up it was an hour later, food was cold and bag had leaked.

The Naan and Cheese and Keema Naan were gorgeous

I'm not sure what’s changed in the past couple of months, but the quality of the takeaway has noticeably declined. The naan bread now tastes as though it was cooked long before collection and has become stodgy and unpleasant. The lamb has become extremely tough and nearly inedible. On several occasions, incorrect dishes have been delivered, and last night I even found a staple in one of the meals. As a long-time loyal customer, I’m really disappointed to have to write this. I’ve raised these issues with the restaurant previously, and I sincerely hope they can address them and improve.

Ordered a takeaway from here. It was very sugary unfortunately and found.it hard to eat. We had nice starters etc but the sauce was awful for our main dish.

It was our first visit there. On arrival we found the staff not very welcoming. We ordered starters as were not that hungry for the mains. Ordered 2 poppadoms, but got 4! My chops were not lamb chops, as the meat was tough! The king prawn puri was made on a paratha apposed to Puri and was very rich. On payment, the staff was not happy that we had starters only and told us that it was not their policy to just have starters there! We were taken back with that comment and made us feel humiliated. Most disappointed with the experience! Will not be going there again.

I would happily pay for anyone’s taxi to go to another establishment. The level of rudeness was unbelievable. Also, don’t order the Chablis - it’s turpentine.

This evening we placed a takeaway order with Spice lounge. Once home we discovered 2 items were missing and of the remaining 4 items, 3 were incorrect. We contacted the restaurant and spoke with the manager. In a dismissive tone the manager informed us the shortfall could only be rectified on a future order, claiming "we accepted the order" Not only was the manager unsympathetic to the situation, but tried to convert their errors into future custom. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

I’ve had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant multiple times, and it never disappoints. Whether you’re eating in or ordering a takeaway, the food is consistently exceptional. The service is just as impressive, with a warm greeting every time you walk through the door. Without a doubt, this is the best Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant in Rugby. A word of caution, it’s addictive and has started to become a weekly event. Keep up the great work, fellas!

Booked on Bookyup for our daughter’s birthday and when we arrived not even a reservation yet I had record on my phone. We’ve been coming to Spice Lounge for around 10 years and rated it as the best Indian around for delicious food and friendly service. Our visit in July was somewhat different! Miserable unfriendly staff, my korma was nothing like normal, it was thick like the texture of hummus and clearly no cream/coconut added, I didn’t eat it! The stuffed paratha was thick with grease and also horrible, the popadoms were on the burnt side and stuck together so rock hard and the soft drinks as always were flat! The only thing that redeemed itself was the pilau rice that was just like normal. Sorry Spice lounge but you’ve lost our business and will be going elsewhere.

Wow this place has really turned around. One of the best places to eat curry in Rugby 😁 I would highly recommend it.

It’s a shame because the food was actually ok! I ordered a takeaway yesterday evening via the online platform. Arrived and picked up my meal. (It was a Monday night so not busy) Got home and they’d forgotten the chips and the special Biriyani had no egg or prawns. I rang up and the guy just said he’d give me chips next time. There won’t be a next time after that comment - Shocking customer service!

I'll never be using this restaurant ever again. We booked a table for 4 from their website for 7pm, when we arrived on time there was complete chaos on the entrance. The staff seemed to be ignoring other customers who were also being let down in front of us. We were left standing at the bar without anyone telling us what was going on? How long we'd have to wait? I had my wife and two kids with me, all who were pretty hungry and looking forward to a curry. This is the 2nd time they have done this to me. I won't be back for a 3rd time. We left and took our business elsewhere. Thanks Titash 😊 saved our evening!

Amazing! Been having the odd take out from here and consistently excellent quality and taste. Great service when having takeout, friendly staff on phone and when collecting. Chicken curry not greasy and very flavourful… also best chana masala I’ve had! Can’t recommend enough.

Excellent. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy and the staff engaging in Ramadan they were efficient. It took longer than usual to be served but understandable given the circumstances. The food was great and plentiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Advisable to book especially Saturday. Be careful you choose the right Spice Lounge as there are a few when you use websites!

Shocking. Placed order at 1800 and as this is being typed at 2005 still no delivery. Guess it’s an avoid this place from now on

As always the food was perfect. The service was really good. I have been using this restaurant for a good few years for both takeaway and eat in and have never been disappointed. So thank you for a really enjoyable evening. We even use it for Christmas dinner which is also a brilliant experience.

The service was awful. These guys were rude. Slapped the plates down in front of us and the food was just as bad.

SoI was just trying to get a little something so I got a keema naan from here it was affordable at only £3.50 and it was delicious and fresh the employees that served me very kind aswell

Food was hot and fresh. Tikka Masala was a little saucy, not much chicken. Kahrahi was nice with a good amount of chicken. Nann bread was fluffy.

So I made the mistake of buying a takeaway from this place today. We have eaten in the restaurant before and the food wqs generally ok. But today the chicken tikka massala tasted liked it had a bowl of sugar poured into it. I can honestly say a chaep boxed curry from the local co op tastes better. Maybe its changed hands but either way I wont bother eating here again.

Food is absolutely fantastic, but the customer service needs some looking into. Ordered a takeaway and when I got home, was missing a curry. Called up and arranged delivery 10-15 mins later and arrived after 30 minutes. Rice and nan bread stone cold. Not impressed.

Had a wonderful meal on Tuesday evening,We had a large table for around 15 of us.The service was fantastic any the food was excellent and wr are looking forward to visiting again.

Our second visit, lovely food, service was a little abrupt at first, but they soon warmed up after a lot of smiles from us. Really enjoyed my chicken Koria, my daughter had a chicken dish which was a cross between a tikka masala and passanda, can't remember the name of it but she loved it. Will be returning. Really must remember to take a photo before eating it all!

Amazing food. Great service by Rahman. Went with my partner for date night. We had onion bhaji for starters. I had lamb pathia My partner had chicken shashlick bhuna with potato rice. We shared a peshawar naan. Staff were brilliant can't recommend enough. 👏

In my many years of savoring curries, this was unfortunately not up to par with my expectations. The dish seemed to rely heavily on food colorings and flavorings, resulting in an unnaturally bright red hue (it was almost glowing!). It was also overwhelmingly sweet, possibly due to an excessive use of additives the feeling of a sugar rush at the end was noticed. While many others seem to have had a positive experience based on the 4-5 star reviews, my experience differed, making me wonder about their authenticity and most likely paid for. In the future, I will lean towards visiting Dunchurch Malancha for a more genuine taste even though its further to travel and more difficult to park its worth the additional time and effort.

Tuesday night and really busy about 10 mins after we arrived. We walked in off the street and despite a full house, were accommodated and not rushed either. Fresh, Nice meal. Full bellies.

Very racist people because When I called up they told me they had a table then when I got inside they passed me and then you came back to me and told me that I need to leave because they’re closing all because I was African-American very racist I’m glad they done that because they were probably going to poison my food anyway they were very rude to me and my four kids disgusting behaviour

The best Indian Restaurant in Rugby. We have always ordered our takeaways from here and even better - they offer 20% off for collection so always worth the trip down to collect and have a cold Cobra while waiting. They can get very busy, which is a good sign that they are popular, but they are honest with waiting times. Food is packed full of flavour and delicious every time.

Regular haunt for us, never fails to dissapoint. High quality Indian food very reasonable prices. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Best curry house in the area.

Not impressed. I've used several take indian restaurants and this is down there with some others. All the food looked the same, all the chicken was so dry and salty couldn't eat it so it went in the bin. Would I recommend the place YES I recommend you go somewhere else. Also now see a 2 star food hygiene rating not good.

We received a friendly welcome on arrival and had a lovely evening here. The food was all beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. The service was excellent. One of our family members has a nut allergy and there were plenty of dishes that don't contain nuts. The waiter was happy to check ingredients for us to be sure we had chosen nut free dishes to share. Highly recommend. We will definitely be going back.

Never had a bad meal from this place. I've eaten in and had takeaway many times. The staff are always polite and professional. The food is excellent. I would highly recommend.

We have not had a takeaway from here for a couple of years but it was Monday and this was one of the few places open and had lots of good reviews. I do not understand why. We ordered and were told it would take 30 minutes so it’s a popular place. Our meal cost just over £25 a bit more than our usual takeaway. When we got the food home the three small meat samosa pastries had a surprisingly flakey texture. Both our dishes chicken tikka balti and lamb rogan contained good chunks of meat but the overwhelming flavour of both dishes was just salt. No delicate or subtle spice flavours to excite the taste buds just sodium chloride. It was difficult to distinguish between the dishes. The rogan had very few fresh vegetables in it and the tomatoes appeared to have come out of a tin. The one dish that was OK was the mushroom rice. It had some mushrooms a little onion, some flavour and thankfully no salt. When we collected our meal we were very impressed by the decor of the restaurant. It looks like a nice place to dine in. It’s a pity the food did not match. It will be a few more years till we visit again even on Mondays.

Great night at the spice lounge again very busy in the restaurant and with takeout. The food was still delicious. Had the spice lounge special Balti one of the nicest curries I’ve had in a long while. In fact every thing we had was amazing. Can not wait for the next time

Tonight’s service was very poor!!! We had a table booked for 6 o’clock ordered drinks and popadoms for the 5 of us. We had already been told that they needed the table back by 8 which was fine. But oh no this was not going to happen!!! We placed our order for our mains by 6.30 and then did not get served this until just gone 8 ridiculous 😣😣 not even being offered a drink or discount when asking when it was going to arrive, to be told “10 minutes” and then still waiting. We go there quite regularly and also our daughter and her boyfriend but this has been the worst service we have ever had!!!

I've never been to the restaurant itself, but have ordered three take-a-ways and have now stopped. Quite honestly, the food is digusting. My last order was lamb curry, which consisted of five small chunks of lamb in a thin sauce which tasted of nothing, certainly not curry and was swimming in grease and fat! Likewise, the onion fried rice was just greasy unseasoned boiled rice. The keema naan was fine as were the popadoms.

An hour and a half wait for delivery on a Monday night. Food is very tasty but time between order and receiving your order is so unpredictable that it puts me off ordering again. Very unreliable service!! This is my second time ordering and collection was a hell of a lot worse with a three and a half hour wait for collection!! Such a shame because the food is nice!

Ordered 3 different meals. Each of us was extremely impressed. Have been to Indian restaurants far and wide and this one is among the best.

After reading some of the more negative views about the staff I was very wary. To my delight all the waiters were extremely pleasant, smiley and polite. Rahman could not do enough for us. A number of regulars came in and shook hands with the waiters. For those reviewers who said they had terrible service. All I can say is we didn’t see any rudeness at all. In fact they were so hospitable we are going again in a couple of weeks. Well Done lads. You are a credit to the Spine Lounge.

Initial welcome was a little under whelming ( I guess the very big party already seated was to blame). But from when we were shown to our seats to leaving the staff were very attentive and friendly. Poppadoms and condiments were all fresh and food was very good. Highly recommend and will definitely be back 🍛🍛😋😋

A family member spoke very highly of a dining experience that they had, so thought I'd try a takeaway. Very disappointed with the quality of the meal for the price paid, in particular the texture of the masalla sauce, which was more like a paste. Unfortunately I won't be trying it again.

Polite and swiftly saw to everyone coming through the door. 5/5. Reasonably priced. Only a few parking spaces directly outside but plenty just around the corner. Had a Madras. It was what I consider the right amount of heat. Naan was not as HUGE as other places but enough.

He wouldnt give me a bill, terrible service, when asked for indian dessert, he said its not southall???? Racism at its height. Shame on him
