Monsoon at 24 York Rise is a must-visit Indian restaurant in Kentish Town! Youâre greeted with a warm ambience and friendly staff when you walk in. The food is simply outstandingâeach dish is crafted with authentic flavours and fresh ingredients. I highly recommend the Manchurian King Prawn, as it was one of the best Iâve ever had! The service is impeccable, making you feel valued and cared for throughout your meal. Plus, the prices are very reasonable for such high quality! I canât wait to return to Monsoon for another incredible dining experience. If you're in the area and craving delicious Indian cuisine, this is the place to be!

Super fast service, high quality food and attention to detail all make this restaurant stand out from all other local "Indian" restaurants. After trying many restaurants in the East Devon area this is one of the few that we would definitely return to. Thank you Imran for showing us how a great meal can be cooked and served with style.

Having seen some good reports about this place, I thought it would be worth a 45 minutes drive to give it a try. I felt rather fortunate that we got a table at short notice on a Saturday night, that said it wasn't close to full during the time we were here. It's a rather impressive dining room, they have done a very good job and obviously spent a lot of money on it. Naturally this has to be recovered and is reflected in the prices. The plain frontage gives no indication of what lies behind. Unusually for a Bangladeshi restaurant you could be forgiven for thinking that it is a micro pub, given the prominence of the bar in the window. We had a table for two in a corner which oddly was in a cold draught, when I mentioned this to our waiter who had poor English, he advised, "yes we have Cobra". The service was pleasant, a little slow and not overly attentive given the number of staff. Poppadoms and dips were very good our shared onion bhaji wasn't the best though. I appreciate that these are precooked and reheated on the night but these were quite 'tough', and the portion was a bit meagre. They made an effort with the salad but there wasn't a lot of that either. There was quite a long wait between our starters and mains. The main courses were OK, the wife enjoyed her balti but my roasted red chilli chicken korai was a bit thin in taste even though it looked great. The sides were OK but we had to opt for boiled rice instead of pilau as I am not a fan of the tri colour version. Overall it was not a bad night but I was expecting to be impressed, especially at their prices but unfortunately it didn't happen. Another night, with a different dishes and I guess it would be a different story.

I can't refer to this place as Malancha as it remains forever in my memory as Omars. Last time here I had a very acceptable meal. But, mid week dinner several years later, with a different name on the door not so much. Pre booked a table for x3 at 19.00hrs and on arrival I can honestly say, I've had warmer welcomes from my dentists. Pre booked a table for three, mentioned that we had a reservation and the guy looked at us gone out. Bit like Katie Price in a library. Oh and as a fuller figured gentleman, some may say fat git (& they'd be right!) It'd be nice if they unlocked both the outside doors. So me and my mate sat at the table waiting for our colleague and eventually got offered a drink and poppadoms but we declined the latter until arrival of our friend who had driven from Birmingham to meet us. The cabaret consisted of one of the waiters picking his nose, then inspecting the fruits of his efforts and bashing on with serving the guests. Nice. We all agreed that the food was underwhelming. Cant be bothered to go into detail about the dishes we were served, perfectly edible but yeah, non of us had our taste buds entertained. Couldn't be arsed to have the conversation with them as I suspect any attempt to improve would've been fruitless. Look , try for yourselves, you may have a completely satisfactory meal, I hope you do so please - give it a whirl I was hopeful the son of Omars would be up to par but sadly my search for a good Indian restaurant in the Rugby area, like Lord Sugar looking for his next apprentice, continues. Itâs a shame couldâve been good⌠wanted it to be good, but⌠ordered Lamb Rogan Josh, it was mostly gravy and only about 6 pieces of lamb. Was also a bit on the salty side. Was hungry so, I ate it and could taste the potential but ultimately it failed. That said my partner loved her Chicken Tika Masala. So like I said, all could have been good but only some was. Will I order from there again? Hmmm⌠not sure tbh. Possibly, but nothing with lamb in it, cos they are obviously skimping on costs.

Thank you Jalali for restoring my faith in hospitality and kindness. As a solo traveller to the area I was very disappointed to be turned away from 2 venues in Tamworth for being âon my ownâ One venue could clearly have accomodated me but chose not too as clearly a chap eating on his own was bad for business. Thankfully I then happened upon Jalali and a very warm welcome. They quickly accommodated me and gave me a very warm welcome caring enough to find out that I had a lonely mission to accomplish while here and being very understanding. The food, like the welcome was excellent and the careful attention from the staff was most welcome. True Indian hospitality and I highly recommend this little gem to others. Thank you đŻ
