Ordered in. Quick delivery. Lamb chilli masala and a south Indian with keema nanns. Only place we use eating in or out . Best Indian food by far in Hartlepool. Friendly lovely people.

Ordered food march 30 2025 at 6.45. We had family round for mothers day and hoping for a nice evening. Food did not arrive until 10.50. Family had left and our evening was ruined. Will never use these again absalute joke

Come here practically once a week from Middlesbrough, never had a complaint about the food in the time I’ve been. Always excellent service and beautiful food. Worth the drive, better than any Indian around here for both sit in and takeout

Food was very tasty, service was good and value was good too. Only lost a star for two personal reasons, firstly the Cider was served warm! and secondly the subdued lighting did make me feel a little bit like "are they hiding something". When Hartlepool again I will visit again as the food, as I say, was very tasty and good value.

Ordered a delivery after booking the £12.95 meal deal. Food was absolutely delicious Food included popadoms, starter choice of rice, mail meal and naan bread. I chose onion barjis - they were the best ones I’ve tasted, followed by prawn Karai, special rice and garlic naan. Got to be the best Indian in town

We came for a one of the girls birthdays and we had the best night ever. The staff were amazing especially Sulayman who is an absolute asset to the restaurant. They made sure we had a brilliant time and they were very attentive to our needs. The food was delicious, we all only had positive reviews and no complaints. We will definitely be back. We've had three orders from here so far and all I can say is it's the best takeaway I've had! It's absolutely gorgeous!! I definitely won't be going anywhere else for my takeaway.

Since my last visit this restaurant has had a makeover with mainly booth seating. The menu pricing is very reasonable. Unfortunately the food was fairly average.

Been getting this Special for some time now. No complaints whatsoever on the quality of food, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the staff are always smart and polite. Bit disappointed tonight that the Menus still state its £9.50... but was charged £10.50 2 weeks ago...and tonight it was £11.95...and same menus are there. "Its gone up again" . Doesnt detract from the quality of the food but this needs sorting out as its not fair in my opinion.

We had our xmas party here , 25 people . The worry is it wont come out at same time ! This wasnt the case . each course everyone in the group were served together within mins of each other , The others were 100% correct and the food was fab. The service was fast and friendly . As the restaurants was not busy service was very slow and not attentive, seem to concentrate more on takeaway orders. Food was good, however, far too many green beans in my wife’s dish, half of the contents was green beans. Sorry— but feel you need to up the game to succeed in Hartlepool.

We have a weekend at Crimdon Dene with family and ordered a meal for four from this Indian based on their reviews. We all agreed that the food was the best we have ever had. It was fresh, tasty and not swimming in oil. It was delivered in a great time, still piping hot. Absolutely amazing value for money, people should definitely try this venue .

It takes quality food to impress me and I am very happy and no longer hungry. It has been nice to find out that I can eat fresh chillies too but I might not be happy about that tomorrow.

It's great to have masala lounge back to what it used to be. We've been going since day 1, there was s little blip but everything is good again now. Good food, good service, good prices what more could you ask for.

Warm welcome, quick , efficient , friendly staff who know the menu. More than ample portions in their special menu. Food was delicious , drinks well chilled , a really enjoyable evening in a very popular restaurant .

Thought we would have a change from our usual curry house ordered a takeaway. It took 3 hours to arrive finally got it at 9.45 after being told several times it was on its way lies, too late by that time to really enjoy it. Can only comment on my dish which was quite tasty but not spicy at all and tepid in temperature I had to warm up in microwave. Will not be going there again back to our usual I think not a great way to win new custom.

I visited & had a take away from this wonderful restaurant , the food is outstanding plenty of it & very tasty, the staff are very helpful & even joined in with our conversation, I had family visting from Richmond & they gave her a complimentary drink.

Due to the weather conditions we ordered a meal to be delivered, the Masalla Lounge is only about half a mile from were we live, it took two hours to arrive, our diners were cold, the food had spilled out of the containers and it was so greasy it had fallen out of the bottom of the bag. After phoning to complain they gave us the meal free but it was inedible. We will not be ordering from Masalla Lounge again.

Visited with friends for a meal, swiftly seated and staff courteous and polite throughout our stay. I was astounded by the options available on the menu, one of the most extensive arrays I've ever seen. We opted for the 3 course special at £8.99, the poppadoms were lovely, the starters well presented and tasty, my main wasn't quite what I expected but I did order it, too dry, however the rest of the group had no issues, the peshwari naan is one of the nicest I've ever eaten, so tasty and full of coconut (not great on the old waistline). All in all a nice first visit, was a bit disappointed with the bill though as the small menus inside state the special is 8.99 but on the window states 9.99 not acceptable! Check what you're paying for when the bill arrives. It wouldn't put me off a return visit as it was good quality and plenty of it.

Been here loads of times since opening and always been perfect. 15 of us came in March for a 50th and had a major issue with the wine which was handled really badly by staff. Decided to try takeaway tonight n disappointed again. Food delicious but a special meal cost more than expected and no rice or chips. Had dips, starter, curry n naan.Rang to ask why and were told menus altered a month ago. No apology or even a sorry. Sad downturn for our once favourite Indian.

We regularly use this resaurant, whether its for take away or a night out and we have been going since it opened, the food is lovely (onion bhargi is my fave) the staff are pleasent and helpful and give you just what you want. I often go within a group of 8 to 10 and we never have any problems with the service.... keep it up Masala Lounge you are doing a good job

Ordered four course special and a king prawn masala ordered 7 pm no problem 20! Minutes mate. This to collect also. After many trips to coral I got my meal at 7.55 already paid half an hour earlier. Paid extra for king prawn on the main as well. Bloke comes out of the kitchen no opology about being late. Instead I was asked if I had paid. Got hom main meal was shrimp not king prawn king prawn Masala was consisted of very thick sauce with a few prawn pieces. The lady offered me the same for free when I was next passing. After eating it I vVe decided to decline her offer. Get it right in the first place

Very generous potions couldn't finish it, wanted to lay down and have a knapp after meal. Best Indian meal in Hartlepool u must try won't be disappointed .

Me and my friend have always loved Indian food and had decided upon an Indian Takeaway night however we decided we would go out for an Indian instead of a takeaway and my friend suggested here as she had been here before. Went on the happy hour food was to die for!! Very generous portion sizes, and I left full! Couldn't squeeze in a dessert! Staff were very friendly and as we were the only people in the restaurant at the time we were looked after and met all of the staff members! Decor is lovely and the level of music is just right. Would recommend and can't wait to return!

The food was lovely and a great price however our drinks order was wrong on the first round my husband ordered disaronno and coke and was given what we think was Bacardi instead but they were Adamant it was disaronno. I ordered white wine and rose arrived. Even so the food was really good full of flavour. The staff were polite and nice although we did feel that they didn't try to build a rapport with the customers. We are only visiting the area so probably won't be paying another visit to masala lounge

Restaurant has good ambience and staff are friendly, there was a mix up about which days the early bird special was available as there was conflicting information on the menus and internet. Nevertheless the meal was very good and I will definitely go back there soon.

went there on a Friday and it was £8.95 for 5 courses. It was absolutely amazing. Great food, really friendly staff and great prices. The restaurant was immaculate and our server topped the evening by being really friendly, helpful and polite. Honestly couldn't ask for anything more from a restaurant.

This restaurant has a lovely, friendly atmosphere which you can feel as soon as you walk through the door. On arrival we were greeted by a charming local guy who we then found out was one of the owners. This multi-cultural connection was very refreshing and the staff are so polite; with so many restaurants around, it’s not often people go out of their way for you, but hats off to them; nothing was too much trouble. These guys know how to cook and are so hospitable, and for me, that’s what makes this particular restaurant so special... I have now visited Masala Lounge several times and each time my experience has been a happy and very enjoyable one. I have tried a different meal every time and I have enjoyed every one, however, my favorite is the chicken tikka chom chom which I would highly recommend! By far the best restaurant in town and if a review says otherwise I would doubt they have even been. SEE YOU SOON!! xxx

Went in with a group of friends on Friday night, again perfection all round. Food was fantastic, restaurant was busy providing a great atmosphere but staff kept on top of the service making sure all customers were seen to.It's definitely become our favourite restaurant.

Don't normally write reviews. but feel I have to on this occasion. my wife and I visited Masalla lounge during a stopover in the town. we have had countless Indian meals around the country, and the world, and can honestly say this was the best,out of India. the food was exceptional.the restaurant is spotlessly clean and modern. the service was excellent and very friendly.in fact we have just stopped over again purely to visit this restaurant again.not disappointed, 5star. already planning next trip.cannot wait.

The menu here is very impressive and the food was excellent. However ... we were met with an appalled look when we arrived and asked if they could do a table for a group. We were eventually seated at tables that were already empty when we arrived. The service was dreadfully slow - we were in the restaurant for 3 hours, and not intentionally so! But a good meal if you're patient.

Made a visit for a change from my normal curry house, cinnamons in the marina. We arrived around 7.30, we had not booked a table but were seated straight away, we had to wait nearly 30 mins to get a menu and place our order. The food was tasty but not outstanding.... the service was painfully slow, we also had to wait for 45 minutes for our bill, eventually I made my way to the bar to chase it down and leave. I will not be going back and will stay with my trusty usual curry house.
