Absolutely lovely food ,friendly staff, well worth the drive for collection 😁

Was really dissatisfied with the takeaway this evening. None of my personal requests were met. Everything was totally ignored. Food tasted like a korma rather than a sri lankan curry. More chips than chicken.

We had a lovely time, the food was hot, tasty and plentiful. The service was first class by Yamin as he remembered my husband by name from previous visits, and also knew which meal he would choose. Highly recommended.

Ordered a takeaway for me and my family tonight through the website and paid on my card to then get a text message five minutes later saying my order had been cancelled but they had still took the money out of my bank (order was over £30) rang the takeaway up and they said there is nothing they can do about it and the money will be refunded back into my account within 3-5 working days and advised me to ring foodhub as they were putting the blame on them they then gave me a number. my partner spoke to them over the phone and they have said this is not their fault it is the a mistake on dilshads part. This is the first time I’ve ordered in a while (never usually have any problems ordering) Will not be ordering from here again which is a real shame. If anyone does order from here I advise not to order online.

Great food and service was spoiled by a cold draught in the room. It's no fun having to eat with your coat on. Several tables were uncomfortable with the cold. 🥶

Great. This restaurant has really raised its game recently. Always good for 10 lads full of drink but now a bit more sophisticated.

I have been eating at this restaurant, on and off, for over 25 years. The food is always acceptable and the staff attentive. Yesterday evening, a table for 6 in my name. 4 adults two children. As always, the food was fine. When it came to paying the bill, I passed £100 in cash to one of the waiters. I explained to him that this is towards the total bill and my friend would settle the rest. As myself and my friend have known each other for over 32 years, I was puzzled when he handed me £10. It turns out, when my friend went to pay the balance, the, 'Lady' at the till, told my friend, "he pay £60". We have all started discussing this now. Could the Dilshad please make all Internal CCTV footage public. Myself handing the waiter £100 in cash. The audio between myself and the waiter. Also the CCTV of the, 'Lady' that accepted and counted the cash. You folks have multiple cameras.

Ordered food 523pm to be delivered I was told 1hour 10 min wait 1 hour 23 minutes then decided to ring restaurant to be told delivery has just left on its way 30 minutes later no food so I rang again to be told I will check were the driver is I replied I want to cancel as its nearly 2 hours 🙃 then a knock at the door with the food I cancelled I explained to the driver what had happened he replied I've just left the restaurant now so they lied 🙃 I will never order from this takeaway again absolute disgrace 🙂.....

I have been all over the North East and love this place! If you're considering this then please give it a go, you won't be disappointed

Good if you want a curry in a hurry. The food was superb but the service was the worst I've ever had, which spoilt the whole experience, we felt rushed, our main meals came out while we was still eating our starters. The only contact with us was to take our order. We had to go find someone to pay the bill. We would have had desserts and more drinks if somebody had bothered to ask, our night out lasted less than an hour.

Fantastic beautiful Indian food, cold beer, service great, and very good pre theatre prices!! Will definitely be back!!

Take out order - ordered a chicken tikka which tasted nothing like a tikka, was super super sweet with no spice at all. A lamb curry which tastes exactly the same as the tikka but was a yellow colour. The final dish was a tandoori chicken that was swimming in oil :( . Chips were also not great

We had a delivery tonight from here, the food and customer service was excellent, the delivery arrived early and the driver was lovely. We will definitely be ordering again, we had chicken tikka wraps, pashwari nanns and korma sauce, it was amazing, thank you ☺

Lived in Glasgow 25 years, this is as good as any curry house there. Been in business since 1979. Just outside train station.

I have been getting food and off from here over the years. The food as always been decent. I'm sad to say the food seems to have gone down hill. We ordered takeaway (collected) tonight. The food was bland, the naan was rubbery. I ordered a madras and it wasnt spicy. It was edible, but not at the standard it should be from here. Shame.

Lovely food as always, been here a few times and never had a bad experience would recommend to anyone probably the best Indian restaurant in hartlepool.

It is normally 100%. But they had a large group of young lads in, who were loud. Plus, it was packed anyway, so service was not quite there. But 10 out of 10 for trying.

Superb went with a friend today service and food awesome very good highly recommend.

We’ve ordered from here quite a few times and the food is spot on but the last 3 times we have, the delivery has been far to long! Nearly waiting 2 hours for our food! Thought we’d give them another chance but it just keeps happening! Don’t think we’ll be ordering again and only for that reason! And it’s s shame as the food is beautiful

Absolutely disgusting, burnt pashwari nan, piece of chicken was a leg which tasted vile. The pashwari naan was burnt, the meal was supposed to be a piece of chicken but didn't say anything about it being a leg. Definitely old sinuous chicken, tasteless other than fatty and horrible. Asked about a refund as ate a mouthful and they offered £5 and refused to hold a conversation with me about it. Very poor

Food was nice but small portions of chips. The menu states the special 5 course menu for £12.95 is on “everyday” however tonight it wasn’t on. Possibly because it’s NYD but this is false advertisement

We had a tea here on Boxing Day, the food was average, watery pickles, decent portions but lacked a little bit of flair. It was reasonably priced but the annoying incident was a group of 4 with 2 lads in their late teens deciding that it was ok to vape in the premises, it was a game of dare as to how blatant they could be and the staff just tuned a blind eye, it was annoying as they blew the vapour out. Is it not also illegal to vape inside?

Visited with my partner tonight for his birthday and although we had some drama with me dropping my phone down the back of a seat (oops) the staff were so helpful and accommodating…. Plus it was my fault for requesting a seat change haha!! I can’t thank you all enough, we always get a takeaway from here but will be back.. and my phone will stay in my pocket next time lol! Order was missing the poppadoms, yet they still sent the dips? The curry, chips and rice were all premixed in the foil packaging resembling a mushed mess.. And.. it was delivered cold along with the onion bhaji. I had to give 1 start but wish no stars was possible. Not sure about Hartlepool Eats delivery services part in this debacle but they certainly were not interested in helping and are also now of the menu in our house..

Always a warm welcome, food excellent quality in my opinion as we dine at many Indian restaurants and the food here is always to a very good standard. Evenly spiced and good portions served by friendly staff. Well worth trying for yourself.

Have now been 3 times all on busy Saturday nights. Nice polite severs who now recognise us which is great. We have tried different foods off the menu each time and have enjoyed everything. Can thoroughly recommend trying this restaurant.

Ordered a take away for 7:30 came at 9:39 only after we phoned them a number of times. The phone was switched for all of the 2 hours when it finally came some of the order was missing when I rang to complain they just made excuses really bad service don’t think I will be using them again

So I ordered food at 7 pm and I still have no idea where it is. I don't know if they deliver it on foot or if they cook everything individually but I think it's s joke that I have had to ring them a 1 hour and 20 minutes later only to hear oh it will be made soon. Avoid !

Booked a table for 7pm. Arrived and straight to our table, popodoms pickles and pints served straight off. Ordered starters and mains. Mixed kebab starts was very tasty. Lamb and chicken dishes all served with rice. Tarka Dhall side dish was nice and creamy and loaded with garlic as requested. Breads were very good. Service was very good, drinks served promptly. Friendly staff. Will definately be back in for another visit.

We visit here often and have to say the food and service is as always first class. It is up to people to give it a visit and judge for yourselves. We visit many indian restaurants and the food compares favorably.

1st time here with my partner . Went not even realising it was special night. Every thing about the food was beautiful . Poppadoms onion salad chutney etc... starter ,main, rice, and nan plus we had 2 pints of cobra ( draft as well ❤)...

By far the best indian restaurant in Hartlepool. The food is delicious but not only that the staff is so genuinely nice and go out there way to make sure everything is perfect. Do try!

Don't use takeaways often as I always feel disappointed, not tonight. Arrived within 30 minutes, hot, fresh, tasty, cooked to perfection and only cost £11! Well done and thank you :-)

after the revamp 41 years in business, dilshad have uppet there game big time, fantastic service friendly staff, beutifull food, once again brilliant.

Ended up eating here largely because there was parking nearby. Service was adequate but menu very limited. Food was OK but not the best I have had. There were few covid precautions, no masks, no hand sanitizer, no contact details taken. I won't go on and I won't be going back.

Fantastic sit down with my lovely. Happy hour menu is excellent and great value at £10.95. We will be back soon. I do recommend the korai lamb. 👍👍👍

Have not been here for some fifteen years WOW, but what a transformation to the restaurant. Food was superb served piping hot, great flavour and generous portions coupled with excellent service, no complaints whatsoever, will definitely be back soon.

wow!!! went to dilshad for there Grand re opening and to see the restaurant fully refurbished was absolutely fantastic, 41 years in the making, start to finish everything was brilliant, keep it up guys, thank you again for a fabulous night. we urge everyone to give the new dilshad a try n see for yourself.

Food was excellent and you can't fault the timing but to get half way through the meal to find a inch long black hair, not my cup of tea and I find that highly disgusting, will never be using this service again, make sure you are aware of this unhygienic establishment.

My food took 2 hours and 39 mins to come. I had to ring them 3 times and ask where my order was to be told 10 mins each time. When my food arrived, the rice was mushy, madras was blank and naan was 100% from Asda. Never ordering again

We recently called into the Dilshad to enjoy their fixed price buffet. As usual, this restauranty does not disappoint!This service was pleasant and efficient, the food was presented beautifully which is always a good start and the taste was fabulous.We look forward to going back again very soon!

Ordered meal for delivery @ 18:15 after several phone calls to see when it would be delivered every time they said it was on the way (NOT) very rude when calling up finally arrived @ 21:50 but had already ordered another meal by then so told them to take it back as I already canceled my order (BE AWARE).

Ordered a takeaway it came very quickly, unfortunately the starter and the main had no taste of spice or anything. Far too much oil was leaking from the containers, the food was just floating in it. Won’t be ordering ever again.

Starters excellent, naan bread excellent. Portions large but our two different mains both disappointing with spices nowhere to be tasted and also both dishes excessively sweet.

We had a curry in here last night and I just thought I would do a short review.Ordered a chicken phal and all I can say was you nailed it guys.Really good atmosphere very clean and the staff were very pleasant.There was a large party eating and I believe it was to celebrate the birth of a new baby boy.Thank you so much for the vodka it was a lovely touch to celebrate your good news.We will be coming back very soon.

Only people in the restaurant which doesn't help with the atmosphere. The decor is dated and a bit odd. The food was served quickly and my veggie balti was nice . Husband had chicken Sri Lanka which was average. The Bombay potatoes were a bit sour. All in all it was average but we wouldn't rush back. Shame..it used to be fab years ago

We will not attend this place again we waited 2 hours for our food with only 4 tables of 2 people in the place. we were placed to sit in front of the window by the older waiter were there was hundreds of tiny flies landing on the table and on ourselfes. we asked to be moved to another table which they did, but other customers that were entering were placed in the same place, they complained and was moved. more people came in and again the waiter still put people in the same seats for them to be moved too, what sort of idiots does this when there was an empty restaurant, it wants reporting to trade and standards in all fairness this is a hygiene issue, i wouldn`t like to see the kitchen if this is in the main dining area, they blamed this on the building work out side and flies like thebright light but the pubs other the rd didn`t have this problem there should no flire where there is food you can buy equipment to control this. The older waiter was very rube a bit argumentative and very arrogant to my wife when asking where our food was.

The food and service was excellent, curry was probably the best we have eat, service friendly, food served lovely and hot, if we were ever in Hartlepool again we would definitely go back.

First of all the service in this tandoori restaurant is not great, the food itself is not good. There were five of us in my group and not one of us managed to eat the food. I ordered a chicken dhansak, my preferred choice. This was like no other dhansak I have ever tasted before, it was sweet, had a strange, not very nice taste, and contained no lentils at all. The worst part though was all the very small flies. They were everywhere, in the food, naans, rice and even in the drinks. I asked the waiter about them and he said they were drain flies caused by the drain work being carried out outside the restaurant. If I didn't feel sick before that statement I certainly did then. I would not recommend this restaurant and will certainly not be eating here again

Just been to the dilshad tonight. Flies all over our food. They offered to replace the curry and naan bread but we didn’t want to cause a fuss so said we would be ok. Then flies all over food and drink so we left the meal. Husband complained to the owner (which he was really upset about as we have used this restaurant for a long time), And was told we had to pay for the 2’popadums and 2 drinks £15. Appalling service tonight. Tried to fob us off with the fact that there was building work in the street. Cost us taxi fare to the town and home again and we didn’t have food. Disgusting service. We will not be using this restaurant again!!!!

The food itself was of average quality, we got the meal deal and the amount you receive for the price is good..... however, the unexpected guests around our table were more hungry than us, it became difficult to tell if the black seeds on my naan bread where seeds or flys. I think they enjoyed their visit as what started out as one or two sharp turned into a family vacation on my masala. We didn't complain but overheard two other parties mention it to the manager, his response was it was due to the roadworks going on outside. In all honesty the place needs a lick of paint and a good fogging for 24 hours. If you enjoy half decent food at a reasonable price then it's a good place to go, just be aware what you're crunching may not be salad.

Sour sauce. popodoms were so greasy, naan bread smelt like an old chip pan, resembled a wet dough more than a man bread. Worst Indian I've ever had in my life. Need to up there game big time. Never again just because people order food from an app, should not mean you get a worse service than in the restaurant. If I was sat in there I would have walked without paying.

Havent used this place for years due to moving away . I will make this brief
