Masala Lounge Indian Restaurant in Hartlepool

The food is so tasty and lovely.

We were on holiday in Turkey and a guy from Hartlepool recommended this restaurant to us. We were a party of 5 as soon as we walked in the door we were met by friendly staff. The food was amazing and the size of the portions for the price was incredible. I can’t wait to go back. Well done for a lovely evening.

Masala lounge has become our favourite place for food, either eating in or takeaway. The food is consistently 10/10 and is undoubtedly the best Indian food we have had. Their chicken tikka paneer starter is unbelievable!

Food was delicious, chicken karia was hot , loads of tender chicken pieces and generous portions. We also had chicken tikka balti, again delicious. Good value for your money.

Great tasting food, the only thing was, the menu isn't up to date, online and in the restaurant it says £9.50 for a 5 course dinner, only to be surprised with the bill saying its now £11.50, the menu should be updated or the staff should tell you of any increase or changes,this is how they catch you out,it was the only thing that annoyed me, otherwise, good food .

Excellent service and great food as always.

If you want an Indians, order the day before then you might get it on time

mint yoghurt for starter was everywhere due to the lid not applied properly everything was ruined due to both curries where crushed and also leaked everywhere and bag of chips ripped and covered in all products due to leakaged total disappointment

Food was warm, only 5 pieces of meat in the main, all sauce.

Enjoyed one of the best curry's I have had in Hartlepool. Chicken tikka chat was the best ever and for main, The balti was packed with flavour with just a lovely hit of spice. I cannot fault my experience with exceptional service in a well run and lovely clean and tidy environment . All finished off with a refreshing pint or 2 of Cobra. This was on Friday when the special was on and there was no compromising on the quantity of food provided, both dishes packed with chicken. If you have never been it is definitely somewhere you should try. I hope like me you will be impressed and it will now be my goto Indian in the town

We picked it up at the time they said really tasty and nice spicy would recommend my only Indian in Hartlepool as far as I'm concerned top marks 👍

When I rang there was no apology to little gesture for apology or anything not so much as free drinks just ok won't be long half hour past and said it be there I ordered 1835 it arrive 2020 almost 2 hours later

Great food, great service at a very reasonable cost

By far the nicest Indian I’ve tasted in Hartlepool. I even asked for a few alterations on the deal and masala lounge done this for me no problem. Chips were outstanding and the flavours from the chicken tikka chilli masala were out of this world. Thank you massla lounge

Always go here. However, the past few weeks has seen an almost 50% increase in price with a reduction in portion size. Otherwise, really nice food!

First time I've ordered from Masala Lounge and it will be the first of many! I had to cancel my order through Just Eat as soon as I ordered as my fat thumbs hit the finish button prematurely and then did it correctly straight away. When the order arrived we were missing a few items but they were the ones I put on the re order after I messed up so probably a technical error and I take some of the blame! I called the restaurant stright away and was met by an extremely understanding, professional and helpful call handler! He quickly sorted our order and had it delivered in record time! 👏 I've travelled up and down the country and this is without a doubt the best Indian food and customer service I've had!

Wasn't impressed with the starter it was quite dry. It cost nearly £7. No cheese on the naan bread, which was disappointing. I wanted cashew rice, and it didn't contain a single cashew. The lamb is tender and lovely. I ordered a balti, and I basically got a chicken tikka, just a spicy version.

Driver very friendly we didn't here the door as in the garden he brought it round to us food excellent thank you .

Our food took over 2.5 hours to arrive this evening and when we did start eating my husband found a STAPLE in his curry and only realised once he started to chew and bit it! It doesn’t bear thinking about what could have happened if he had swallowed it! As a regular customer we are really dissapointed with this! We cannot dispute the taste of the food itself but someone needs to look into how a staple made it in there our son eats with us and I dread to think about him eating it!

Food was not very hot and delivered 35 mins late

I'm giving delivery 2 star because it was, technically, on time. However, the delivery driver gave it to two crackheads in the street instead of looking and coming to our door. Luckily we saw this, rang up and the person on the phone was super helpful and polite and even made our entire order again free of charge with two extra poppadoms. The food itself was great. Fab portions and overall delicious, as usual. This is the first time I had a problem with this place, and given the way it was handled, we will be ordering again in the future because service (usually) and food is good.

Ordered a delivery after booking the £12.95 meal deal. Food was absolutely delicious Food included popadoms, starter choice of rice, mail meal and naan bread. I chose onion barjis - they were the best ones I’ve tasted, followed by prawn Karai, special rice and garlic naan. Got to be the best Indian in town

It was OK but not like any Dansak I've had anywhere else. My poppadom was completely crushed and in numerous pieces, it was like a bag of crisps.

Ordered food at 6.50pm, they estimated delivery time at 8.30pm-08.55pm. Called the restaurant for them to tell me 5 minutes this was at 09.20pm. Still waiting for delivery at 09.45pm. Nearly 3 hours later

Waited a long time for food.......not great quality either, don't usually have a problem with this restaurant so would order again, they must have been busy

Amazing quality food. Fresh ingredients, Good size portions. The best Indian takeaway give it a try there is something for everyone and you won't want to try anywhere else.

Food in general is fantastic. However today we ordered vegetable samosas and meat samosas came instead. My boyfriend is allergic to mince meat so luckily I tried them first. Apart from that food was brilliant as per normal.

1st time in here for a sitty down and it didn't disappoint, food was spot on quite a while between courses but you drink more that's the plan.

Delivery took long but food was outstanding

Food would likely have been ok if it was delivered on time and intact. Instead we were handed a plastic bag by a driver with the food spilled out into the bottom, mixed together and half of the contents of each carton sloshing about in the bottom of the bag, its was cold and nearly impossible to serve up into bowls. Most of it had to me tipped away into the waste bin and it cost us over £35+ -it was a disaster. So disappointing as probably down to the driver and not the restaurant but hey - we order for delivery not a lottery as to how it would arrive.. what a mess.. will not order again.

Generally the food is amazing just stay away from Lamb dishes it was like trying to eat a leather boot, even the dog was struggling to chew it. rest of the food was good, will never order lamb again from here lesson learned.
