I didn't consent to be on your text-list. I cannot cancel it either, because I am required to text a premium-rate number, which I cannot text because I am on a sim-only contract. I don't want to spend £10 on credit just to cancel a service I never signed up for. Even if I did, I have no idea what the cost of texting this number is. It's more than £1, which is how much credit I have on my sim. This system of non-consensual, pay-to-cancel text-marketing is also highly illegal. Take me and everybody else off your list right now or I'll take this to court. I've already reported you to trading standards for this. Absolutely unacceptable behaviour.

We ordered the chicken tikka, lamb Tikka, garlic naan, a Biryani and an aubergine dish. The tikkas tasted like dessert; far too sweet. Even the garlic naan was sweet. The Biryani and aubergine were nice enough.

First time having food from here and had it delivered. The food was absolutely delicious. So full of flavour with nothing overpowering them. Absolutely divine. Highly rate especially for flavour.

Poor quality chefs special curry not that special and overpriced for what it was. the tika masala worst I have had ver sweet that killed the tast. This food has gone down hill over the last couple of years. Think it will be my last visit.

Staff are friendly, the food was on time but the food was awful. Couldn’t chew the mixed kebab starter, both curries tasted the same with no flavour, spice or spices! Will not return as this wasn’t tasty at all.

Ordered via their app 5.30pm. Message to say delivery would be about one hour, which was fine (about 6.30pm). Nothing turned up. Rang and a poor girl answered phone who had no idea where our order was. Rang again and was told it was on it's way, there had been a delay with the delivery driver. Food turned up 2 hours later, cold and watery. No apology, no communication. Very poor customer service. Will not be visiting Curry Express again.

First time visit, having ordered online. I thought the food was pricey, and even more so when I realise VAT was added separately and not included in the dish price. 5% discount for online order was a nice gesture. Quoted 20 minutes for a pick up, in the end was 30 minutes from order to collection. Order was King Prawn Balti, Lamb Tikka Biryani and a Keema Naan bread. All totally delicious, piping hot and plentiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The staff were friendly and polite, even apologetic for the slight delay. We would definitely order a takeaway from here again. It is only the post order VAT addition that prevents this being a five-star review.

We arrived at a Holiday Cottage nearby on a Thursday evening. Decided we would have the night in with a takeaway, as recommended by the owners of the cottage. I called the Indian and asked for their delivery service however they only normally deliver on a Friday or Saturday. They went above and beyond and confirmed that they would deliver to us. Within 40 mins we had the best Indian food we had ever tasted. The flavours and spicing were absolutely amazing. My Husband and I both agreed that this Indian food was so much better than our local Indian take aways. Highly recommended thank you!

Unfortunately as the costs have gone up the seasoning and quality has gone down. Previously I would have given them 5 stars however they have shifted from being pricier with a higher standard of ingredients, to being a lot pricier with very generic bland ingredients. The price increase is forgivable the lack of flavours and quality of ingredients is not. The king prawns used to be stately now they are stateless. There's a running answer on Reddit that states you should always at least double the amount of garlic called for in a recipe , double nothing is still nothing.. I thought I may have been unlucky and just happened to get my food when the usual chef was on holiday, my last 3 orders however have seen a big drop off in seasoning and flavours

Food decent but poorly run. Had to wait 40 minutes inside for collection despite giving an hour notice. They then missed part of the order. In fairness they sent the missing part by delivery but that was also 30 mins after stayed time. So decent food but be prepared to wait!

We had an indian from here last night and it was very greasy, luke warm and just average. Nothing really stood out as being particularly delicious or flavoursome. It was 40 minutes late (1.40 in total). Also the driver knocked back at our door after paying to say the agreed price had changed and we owed extra money - I’m not sure how legitimate this was. It was ok for an Indian but I wouldn’t order from there again.

Been there couple weeks ago, first I called them and asked if they do can make any vegan food, a young lady was very helpful and kind to answer all of our questions 😊 The kitchen looked very clean, and the food smelled amazing!! Had a takeaway treat last night but what a difference, not sure what’s happened . Man behind the counter was very nice but the food wasn’t a touch on before. Very dry, spot the chicken and the foil dish was only half full. Ordered a Peshawar nan no fruit in the middle very crumbly unlike any previous nan I’ve had. The complimentary papadum and dip is no longer complimentary so beware .

Went with a group of friends and received great service and amazing food at a reasonable price. Everyone enjoyed it, couldn’t be faulted.

Just wanted to say thanks for the most delicious takeaway for ages. Never had tandoori salmon before but we will definitely be having it again.

Always used to be a lovely meal, but must have changed hands as now very disappointing. Doesn't taste as nice as it used to and the food doesn't seem to fit the descriptions in the menu.

Always good food here over the years and we've never had a disappointing meal, but last night it was the best curry we've had anywhere for years. Sooo tasty and flavoursome with lots of fresh chopped herbs and spices, not greasy, not runny, not fluorescent artificial colours. The sag ponir was made with real curd cheese as it should be (no cheddar!). The nan breads were delicious, the tarka dall was nutty tasting, the rice was fluffy and tasty. There's some new fish and veggie options too so they've definitely broadened their menu recently.

Whilst visiting the area for a few days we decided we would like a curry. The information in our accommodation recommended Curry Express so we called to see if we could get a delivery. We were staying in a very remote area a few miles outside of Yelverton, accessed only by driving down extremely narrow lanes. The owner initially advised that they could not deliver but when he realised we were on holiday he delivered to us himself. Never in a million years did we expect him to do so but he was insistent that it wasn’t a problem. Sure enough within half an hour our curry had squeezed it’s way down the lanes and found us and it was delicious! We obviously gave him a big tip! I’d recommend this place not only for the food but for the amazing service.

Absolutely spot in meal.... Had the mixed starter which I would definitely recommend.Onion bhaji was superb, Full advisor biryani! The lamb was very tender and the dall was not too hot. We had a takeaway one evening while staying nearby on holiday. The place does not look much from the outside, but the food was good and well priced. Recommended if you are in the area and don't fancy cooking one night.

I can't believe that there are so many indifferent or negative reviews on here! We always get really good service from here. Our particular favorites are bagon bahar, chicken dansak, chicken chaat, matar ponir but have eaten pretty much everything on the menu.

Has the owner/chef changed? We have been getting take-always from here for 15 years but the last 2 have not been good: chewy chicken, not the melt-in-the-mouth chicken we’ve been used to. The curry we had on Saturday night was just awful - oil was literally dripping all over the bag and all containers were sodden with oil. We had a Phall and a Vindaloo but the sauces were the same; just one with chicken and the other prawns. Chicken saag was oily and tasteless. Even the pilau rice was oily. We will not be going back for a third time this year - needs improvement quickly or business will fall away as we are used to better here!

Usually VERY good, and we have had dozens of takeaways from here over the years, but ordered a week or so ago for collection and although the Lamb Razalla was pretty good (If hotter than we expected), the Chicken Tikka Madras was a few small bits of Chicken Tikka, floating in what was basically red water. Edible, yes, but It couldn't be described as a sauce - more of a thin gravy. Also, dont know if they have changed the recipe for the special fried rice, but it just wasn't as good as it has been before. Difficult, because I love curry, but the Chinese next door is equally as good as CE on a good day, so quite a choice to make next time...

A very respectable Chicken Bhuna & Chicken Bangal this evening - ok, I’m not going to say there isn’t better out there if you are prepared to travel, but I don’t want to travel so I’m happy to go here and have what I would call a very respectable meal.

just had a takeaway and probably the worst ever. A total of 4 meals. One lamb tika malty which was fine. Two chicken Rogan Josh, both inedible due to very dry chicken. One chicken Korma, again inedible due to very dry chicken. Plus 4 naan breads all pretty disgusting - like the ones you can buy from a supermarket. I rang the curry express but was basically ignored. This was a real shame as we have had loads of excellent meals from there in the past - never again.

Food is the best around. They cater brilliantly for coeliac & allergies. Really friendly & helpful. Five stars all the way!

When my daughter and son-in-law come down to stay from Hampshire, this is where we always go for a takeaway. They love it and so do I. Faultless food and excellent service - who could ask for more? If they opened up as a restaurant rather than just takeaway they would have people queuing up!

We were staying in Walkhampton on holiday and drove to Curry Express for a take-away one evening. The waiting area certainly does not reflect the quality of the Excellent food, everything tasted very good and was still nice and hot by the time we got back to the cottage. NB this restaurant is take-away only, you cannot have a sit down meal here.

This is our regular curry shop and it is by far the best we have ever had. The service is reliable and food is always delicious. We have tried many other Indian takeaways in the surrounding areas but this one beats them all by miles. Highly recommend this place!

I was delighted to discover this excellent takeaway. The staff were friendly, food was well cooked and very tasty. The only niggle that I have is that the minimum order for payment by card is a bit high. I do understand that in small businesses some kind of minimum has to be imposed, due to charges made by banks to process them but do feel that a £10 minimum is more acceptable, especially as more and more people are using contactless or PIN payment in lieu of cash.
