The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

No longer the mayflower Indian restaurant, its under new management as a Bangladesh restaurant, wild ducks. Second night so a lot of learning on the job...... Food ok, tasty , with different foid offerings but rookie errors ie. Music to loud, Food not served at once, cold plates , lights very bright so lacking ambiance. However, staff welcomed feedback so hopefully improvements will take place . Pricing very reasonable in these inflationary times, sizzling wild duck and chicken Kathmandu particularly tasty. Will be back.

Had a meal delivered tonight . Rogan Josh lamb , got a Phn call no lamb so had to gave chicken . Not nice , no sauce hardly any chicken , very dry. Chicken korma , plenty of sauce no flavour chicken bland . We had many meals from here but tonight was not good a lot wasted .

Honestly best curry in Winchester in my opinion and great value for money. Always order from them and never disappoints👍🏼 Staff are lovely and welcoming too!

La comida estaba bien, sin embargo tuvimos un problema con el pago con tarjeta, pagamos con tarjeta solo para recibir una llamada telefónica diciendo que no había pasado, revisamos el banco y en ese momento estaba mostrando que había pasado. Al día siguiente de que llamaran muy fuerte a la puerta fue un tipo del restaurante, que dijo de una manera muy agresiva hasta el punto de gritar exigiendo el pago de la comida que teníamos la noche anterior, y concedió que cuando comprobamos que tenía razón no había pasado, así que pagamos en efectivo, sin embargo no había necesidad de que fuera tan agresivo hasta el punto de que nosotros después de año de usarlos no volveremos.

Amazing authentic Indian Food. The portion sizes are great for the very reasonable prices you pay. Incredible flavour too! Great service all round and a really pleasant, homely atmosphere inside the restaurant. Best Indian Restaurant in Harborough, for sure!

Had a takeaway. Tasted more like a ready meal from a supermarket. Curry was bland and powdery. Would not recommend.

First time using and will definitely go back. Really tasty foidand good portions,and a goid range of dushes to choose from. Food was piping hot and delivery spot on time

Food is top notch, very nice portions especially on currys enough to feed two easy.. mixed grills are very nice. Service great and bar prices decent too,even got cobra on tap . Highly recommend Big up the Bradford 2025 nuff love

lovely meal never disappointed

Después de buscar un curry decente en la zona durante más de 2 años, mi búsqueda finalmente ha terminado, el tandoori estándar es cualquier cosa menos estándar, la comida es increíble, deje de mirar a su alrededor para su ir a la casa de curry, lo ha encontrado! En todas partes de la zona es basura, estándar es delicioso, no digas más.

I really enjoy the food from here, its great value and the authenticity of the dishes is almost incomparable to anywhere else locally. No super sweet western style curries here... spicy meaty sauces that genuinely display the flavours of the east. The customer area of the shop could really do with a good clean and some updating. A family member of mine stopped going because they were not happy with the cleanliness of the front of the shop.

Been using this takeaway since it opened as Paach bali and it used to be excellent but we had a really poor experience a few months ago where the food was very bland and just not worth the money. We decided to try them again yesterday and we had another bad experience and will not be using them again. We had prawn on puri and they were tiny and the puri would fit on a small saucer, it was quite bland and the prawns were also tiny. The main meals were not much better with the butter chicken was bland and the dansak didn't even have pineapple in which it has in the past (i do realise some curry houses don't add it but here has in the past). Don't know if the management of chef has changed but i can make a nicer one myself so will do so in future or travel further afield

Very disappointing food! KFC Indian BITES The chicken was very dry and stringy. Obviously been cooked hours/days before serving and just warmed up. CRISPY CAULIFLOWER Pre cooked and warmed up. Very disappointed as was looking forward to Award winning Indian food. Need to up their game as I wouldn't buy from there again.

Tuvimos una velada increíble anoche celebrando un gran cumpleaños y nuestro aniversario de boda 🥂 Tuvimos la comida de primavera de 4 platos con maridajes de vinos, que recomendaríamos a fondo. Tanto que comentar desde el edificio histórico, el ambiente relajado y cómodo, hasta TODO el personal que es amable y atento. Nuestro Smellier era increíble. Es muy alentador ver a un Smellier asiático, alguien que entiende los sabores de las especias y luego usa ese paladar con su conocimiento del vino, ¡excepcional! TODOS los vinos fueron maridados maravillosamente con la comida increíble. Mención particular para las vieiras - bellamente cocinado, se derriten en la boca, al igual que el kebab de pasanda. Hermosa. Gracias y volveremos 😍
