Never used them before . The food was great and the service was too.

Ordered online, really easy to use and a good variety on the menu! Estimated delivery was 40 mins and it turned up in just over 15 which we were pleasantly surprised by! Excellent service! Food was good quality and portions were a good size. Would happily order again and would definitely recommend!

Always great food, we eat a lot here. Consistently to the same standard every time, price is amazing for the quality of food you get. Always order the Paneer Tikka Masala as it’s the delicious… Would love to know how to make it myself when I’m not near Chutneys!

An absolute gem, delicious curry and brilliant service

Chutneys have been supplying the food for our Annual School Quiz night for several years, communication is always great, service is excellent (always delivered and collected on time) and the food is delicious. We always get lots of comments on how good the food is and the portion sizes are always great. Thank you :-)

Shocked at how bad the service was last night, and how they handled a problem! Really disappointed. First of all, the prices on their menu are out of date so when we called to order they added on an extra pound per dish, and said they haven’t updated their website for about a year. Why not?! It’s misleading!! It took an hour and a half to get our food and when it came we were given the wrong order. I called to let them know and they just didn’t know what to do with this information, and there was a lot of fussing about with no clear direction and eventually I was just hung up on. We decided to just eat the wrong order because we had handed over £30 to the delivery driver and we were hungry. During our meal we got a knock on the door—they had sent someone back to pick up the wrong order but DID NOT have our correct order in return. So what, they were just going to take our money and the food and leave us, well, just SOL!?

Delicious food as always. We have regularly had food from Chutneys for our extended family. The food is delicious and good value, the service from the staff is always helpful and friendly and we are already looking forward to our next feast!

Amazing food time and time again. We have used Chutneys a number of times now and the food is always delicious. Just had the Mirch Massalla and it was one of the best dishes I've had in a long time.

Don't be fooled by the decor of this takeaway, they can cook some beautiful tasty dishes,even on a very busy Saturday night . I had the Naga Gosht, which was a lovely lamb dish that that melted in my mouth and wasn't overly spicy hot. The chicken Bhuna side of Bombay potato and rices and breads, all had great taste and flavor also . Particularly noticable was the lack of grease in the trays 😊. Will be going there again

Ordered over the phone for collecting in 20 mins time. Ordered a vegetarian byriani and a chicken tikka byriani. Both came with a decent portion of very tasty vegetable curry and two large poppadoms. Both the byriani portions were huge and to be honest one byriani plus the vegetable curry would easily serve two adults. We struggled to finish our food and to be honest should not have done. We were stuffed full - too stuffed! The guys in the restaurant were friendly. The shop itself was very clean and had plenty of space to allow social distancing if a number of customers came in at the same time to collect their food orders. Having lived in S E Asia for 10 years the quality of the food was as good as anything we ate there. The combination of the various spices made for the most delicious “Indian sub continent food” we have had in the UK. If you are in Winchester and staying at the Premier Inn , as we were, then Chutneys is just a 9 min drive using Sat Nav directions. The food was still very hot when we got back to the hotel. Just make sure you have spoons to eat your food!

Our first time ordering from this local takeaway and we were not disappointed. The food was generous, hot and delicious. Prompt delivery too. We will return to try out more options from the extensive menu.

Food was really but service is hourendous! The front of house staff can't handle the phone and walk ins and often charges more than it comes too from the menu. Gives out wrong change and attitude is horrific.

Had the Best Indian meal I have ever tasted on 25th June 2021. The delivery was quick. The food was hot and the flavours just perfect. Also good value for money.

We always get our Indian food from here, we've just eaten our takeaway, which was delicious, but cold. I would have phoned to complain, but we were ravenous. We were told it would be an hour wait,after an hour and a half, I phoned, apparently it was being cooked, fine. No I was lied to, food arrived within minutes, it was cold. Disapp

We are very regular customers - we often get a takeout from here once a week and the food is ALWAYS absolutely brilliant. However, recently they keep massively over promising how fast food can be ready and their covid safety has left us reluctant to order again until after things are ‘safer’. They always say the food will be ready in 20mins/25mins/30mins and then it’s usually more like an hour - half an hour of which we have spent waiting in there for it while people wander in and out, very little distancing, big queues of others waiting for food, others waking in to order, no screens to separate staff from customers and it’s left us feeling very unsafe. If it’s going to take an hour that is fine - just tell us!! It’s just such a shame as the food is always amazing but unless they can give realistic collection times and instal some more safety measures we are going to avoid until things are back to normal.

I'm even more inclined to leave a good review, as unfortunately they were closed one evening so we tried a different Indian takeaway. That place was so shockingly bad that I realised even more so how good these guys actually are. We've used them regularly for years and never once had a bad meal. Great service, delivered hot, staff always polite and put in extras, and the food is just delicious and flavoursome. Not one bad dish out of the multiple ones we've tried. The freshness and flavours stand head and shoulders above their counterparts. Thank you, and keep up the amazing work guys.

Last time we used this takeaway the delivery took 2 hours and food arrived barely warm. Tonight we thought we would try again. We ordered nice and early at 17.51. Told delivery would be at 19.15. Food arrived at 20.33 and is barely warm again. The delivery lady apologised profusely but sadly we will never use this takeaway again as their customer service is appalling.

The kitchen at Chutneys is the best, a busy team of dedicated chefs, cooking together, creating the best curries I've ever tasted. This is our absolute 'go to' for consistently fabulous flavours and top quality ingredients, crafted by cooks who know their spices..

no face masks no chefs kit the front of the shop was dirty. made to feel guilty for insisting on paying by card even though cash spreads the covid more readily. Was this a tax evasion? I do not wish to take part in anything illegal.

Placed order an asked if it could be delivered for around about the time I’d finish work as it would be hot for when I got in and they managed to delivery a few seconds after I got in couldn’t have timed it any better. Food was great and even had a couple of extras to which was nice treat! Highly recommend and prices are very good to.

We live in Micheldever Village where no one delivers to...accept for chutneys! The food is delicious and well priced. The drivers are always very friendly. We are both vegetarians and there are lots of options to choose from. We order, vegetable masala, prawn dansak, sag paneer, sag aloo and various other accompaniments.

It’s the best Indian take away in the area they deliver and will alter dishes to suit your own personal taste just ask the owner who is very helpful and only to pleased to help the food is great never ever had a bad meal and that is for over 2 years Well done chutneys keep it up

Finally found a great Indian restaurant that delivers! We live in a rural area and not many places do deliver to us. We ordered on New Years Eve and despite them being very busy, they were will able to deliver to us. The food was absolutely delicious and flavoursome. They even gave us extra onion bajis, popadoms, salad and dips. Will definitely be ordering from them again.

The food is out of this world! Visiting the area and drove out for a chippy, however passing the sensational aromas of Chutneys stopped me in my tracks and my mind was changed. The kind staff discussed some of the options with me and I was recommended the Mass Jalfrezi. I waited longer than expected but I didn't mind, the chef explained the fish was freshly cut and grilled for the dish. This may possibly be the best meal I have had and I'm very well travelled and a connoisseur of Indian and Bangladesh food.. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Flabbergasted at how amazing the meal is for value and taste, I'd pay a lot more for a dish like this. Thanks so much!

Best curry in Winchester. Staff are very friendly and accommodating of dietary requirements. Food is delicious - nawabi biryani and garlic chilli chicken are particularly good.

I was pleasantly surprised as I normally eat oriental food like Thai,Napalise and Chinese most of the time. For the first time I tried Indian chicken boona and madras chicken, the chicken boona was delicious as the chicken was juicy and tender,you could diffinately taste all the flavour’s of the spices coming threw and the sauce was subtle but flavoursome. The madras chicken was also very flavoursome and juicy but it had a more spicy kick to it. Overall the food was very nice and would recommend it

OMG possibly the best Bangladeshi fish curry of my life. I'm often all about the naan and sauce, I like a lamb curry, not adverse to chicken, every once in a while will have a fish one. Such a good decision. Wicked. Tarka dhaal was fantastic too. Naan a little doughy. Totally recommend for delivery

Estoy tan sorprendido de que este lugar tenga tan pocas críticas. He estado yendo regularmente a Harestock durante dos años para probar la comida de Chutneys. Comí regularmente en Winchester en Diya y Gurkha's Inn y he encontrado que la comida en Chutneys es consistentemente brillante. Sus platos son ricos, llenos de sabor y de increíble valor. Uno de mis favoritos es el cordero Jalfrezi, suaves trozos de cordero con pimientos frescos y chile verde. Su gamba Pathia es deliciosa, dulce, agria y especiada.Cuando vayas, te sorprenderá la sencilla recepción amueblada con solo un televisor para que te diviertas mientras esperas. Se puede ver en la concurrida cocina, donde los chefs preparan lo mejor de la comida india para llevar.Encuentra este lugar, pruébalo. Es una buena cocina honesta que no decepcionará. Lo recomiendo

We have used this Indian takeaway for the last month and I can tell you it is one of the best Indians in Winchester. We tried for different curries this week and everyone tasted different and the spices they use are absolutely amazing the Lamb and the chicken just melt in your mouth not like many takeaways . Keep it up

Absolutely amazing service and delicious food

Had a fair few currys from here and they are so hit and miss. Me and my girlfriend have had a few watery currys, however some can be decent but have stopped buying them myself. Average at best.

Hemos comprado comida aquí dos veces, una vez recogidos y una vez entregado. Tuvimos que esperar un poco para la colección pero eran claramente muy concurrido. La comida estaba caliente en ambas ocasiones y bien presentado. Los precios eran excelentes, y comparado con la comida para llevar y china en el mismo chippy desfile de tiendas (que nos gusta demasiado).

Triste ver que no han hecho comentarios, así que comenzaré la pelota rodando.Hemos visitado 3 veces, 3 veces hemos recibido buena, el servicio amable, 3 veces que nos hemos dejado con rápido, comida muy sabrosa.La zona de recepción es limpio y ordenado, es evidente que tienen una buena atención a la limpieza en el momento actual, por favor mantener este.Merece mucho la pena la visita, volveremos pronto.

Well got the order after a hour .pretty shocking if you like sauce with litter meat 4 pieces for 21 pound .will not order from this place again.I'd get more meat in a ready meal .just got off the phone and the guy said if I wanted more meat I should off ask .how would I know how it comes .
