The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

This lovely restaurant never disappoints. The warm welcome, excellent menu choice and delicious food make it one of our favourite places to eat out. We chose to share a starter as the portions are so generous and then ordered two main dishes plus rice and naan. The food was absolutely delicious and we look forward to returning.

Never order a Delivery from this restaurant!!!! Even though we preordered our order, it was delayed by more than 1 hour from the original delivery time. It's happened to me before too and seems to be a regular trend. I live the food from here but this delivery wait has driven me crazy many times.

I ordered a takeaway for my birthday. It was a Monday. I placed the order at 5.30pm for a 7pm delivery. Shouldnt be busy as it is Monday I thought. I expected to turn up a little early if anything. Nope. It was 40m late. Took two phone calls from me to chase. Second time the person at the other end admitted the delivery guy did not leave until after 7. The food itself is decent. I have ordered a delivery several times before. It is a bit hit and miss and no way to track. This was the most delayed. I have also dined in here which is clearly the better option. My main complaint is there is no warning. They would have known it was going to be late. Also something in the way of compensation would be nice. The train companies do it now. On a side note. I ordered a Bhuna and Rogan Josh and they were virtually identical. Certainly in appearance.

We went for dinner tonight with my parents who live in Winsford after I had read some great reviews of the Bombay Lounge. First impressions are a modern interior with lots of friendly staff. The food was really excellent, the main courses were generous and my lamb dish had loads of meat which was really well cooked. If you are looking for a great curry and are near Winsford I would really recommend going

Our group held a meetup at Shivalli for a party of 15 people and it was amazing. The staff were so helpful on the night and the food was absolutely delicious!!! There were lots of vegan options too and everyone was satisfied. Will definitely arrange a group meetup here again.

This was the first time ordering from this restaurant a few days ago and was disappointing. The onion bhajis were nice, the pilau rice was ok but I'm sorry to say that the Chicken Korma was not very nice. It did not smell or taste like Chicken Korma. Korma should be sweet and smooth but this curry was not sweet and not smooth the sauce was grainy/bitty very bland, not nice at all. The pieces of chicken were very small also. Will not be ordering from here again.

Quick delivery and really nice good quality food

Excellent food quality and very flavoursome. I couldn't fault the meal (Lamb Chops cooked to perfection) and at a great price. Will definitely be back.

Worst kachori chat I ever had😢 Kachori is so tuff and not enough gravy or sauce.

I had heard good things about this restaurant, so I popped in with the hope they did Balti. I asked before I ordered if they did Balti. I was assured they did. When my “Balti” arrived, I looked at it with disappointment. I needed food and knew I’d have to eat it, but it was such a let down. The dish was overloaded with large onions and peppers. As a Brummie, I know what a balti should look and taste like and this wasn’t it. After shoving most of the onions over to one side of my dish, I ate what was left. As a curry in its own, it was ok. Nothing special. The restaurant was ok, bit small and not very full. Staff were friendly enough. Maybe some other dishes are ok, I don’t know but I will not visit again.

I will hang out first to see the historical buildings on the longest river, River Thames, before I eat here until I repeat twice the same day😂😂
