Just visited Jays kitchen, food was exceptional, I love spice and their Naga was perfect, service was fast and friendly and great price, a real gem of a resturant.

Very nice food. Personally, I went in by myself and had no issues using the Wi-Fi. I can see this is a good restaurant for larger parties and groups of people. The time I usually go in is on a Sunday for the eat all you like buffet. I find this is quite empty when I'm there that people seem to be picking up takeaway orders or deliveries.

Very complete buffet for less than 12 pounds and very attentive staff. Very tasty food...

Delicious food, all cooked fresh to order whether eating in or taking away. They deliver too. My only criticism would be that the lighting is a bit bright for a restaurant which gives it a strange ambiance when eating in. Service is very good..

We went for the Sunday buffet which the 5 of us all thought was delicious. Hot fresh food for a set price per head, great value, will certainly visit again.

Disappointed by the rudeness - I DID NOT ASK TO BRING MY DOG INSIDE. I went to collect but despite knocking nobody appeared. When he did appear he was very rude. On the phone he had said I could pay at the door as I had my dog but then he seemed really annoyed at that when I was there. I asked if I could just pay so I could leave and he walked away to get the card machine shaking his head and gesticulating at me. Then he bought the bill and had removed things and added things and wouldnt respond to my questions why. In the end I just walked away without the meal as he has being so rude. Maybe not the right thing to do but but I was shocked at his behaviour especially when the restaurant was completely empty inside. I have worked I hospitality for years and will always give the benefit of the doubt but this guy just was outwardly rude. Other reviews on trip advisor seem to suggest a theme.

The first thing we noticed upon arrival was how unfriendly the man who seated us was. He immediately looked put out when we hold him that we were not there for the buffet & wanted to order from the menu. Sadly, the food was medicare at best and the price was outrageous! My friend & I visit Indian restaurants all over the South West and Jay’s Kitchen was significantly more expensive than any other Indian restaurant that we had visited, despite ordering the exact same dishes. It’s such a shame as Frome really needs a good Indian restaurant, sadly, this isn’t it …

Avoid the Sunday buffet. Although a couple of things were acceptable most of the dishes taste bland, the chicken was rubbery as I can imagine it's been siting on that buffet tray for ages. My husband and I were the only ones dinning in and we felt watched by the staff the whole time we were there. Price is ok, so just keep in mind you get what you pay for. Both of us had terrible guts the next day.

Came for a meal on a quiet Monday night. The food was ok and the portion sizes were adequate.

Lacked volume of flavour and was particularly watery

Sadly not a great experience and won’t be recommending or using again. Food was late, cold and missing a dish. When I telephoned a really rude guy answered (am presuming the owner as he’s been mentioned for rudeness in other reviews). He rudely told me my food wasn’t cold and that he wasn’t late- maybe he can’t tell the time. I spent £82 on cold food with an item missing. Not good.

So disappointed. Paid £5 for delivery and was 15 minutes late- driver couldn’t find us so called us eventhough I pinpointed our location. As a result the food was cold with a dish missing. Spent £82 on this delivery. When I called got a really rude guy who told me the food couldn’t be cold- really? Can’t be bothered with rude people who don’t do their job properly. In short, shoddy service, cold, overpriced food and a rude owner. Never recommend.

Wouldn’t order again or recommend. Ordered over £80 worth of food, paid £5 for it to be delivered late and coke and missing an item. When I called the guy was really rude. Not to be recommended- disappointed and feel ripped off.

Pleasant, clean and uncluttered restaurant Polite and attentive staff, delicious and plentiful food attractively presented, offering good value for money. Worth the trip to the outskirts of town, no hassle with parking.

I only use this restaurant about 3 times a year and have done for 5 years I will nt be calling there again, when asked if my food was OK, I told him that the chicken was very dry (I had a chicken vindaloo), they did'nt seem to care and charged me full price. I WILL NOT BE CALLING AGAIN
