Two vegetarians walked in for a last minute evening meal on Sunday and had a lovely experience. There were plenty of vegetarian options to suit all tastes! We had very attentive service, the poppadoms and dips were delicious and the food came in good time and was delightful. Worth mentioning they also do a buffet on a Sunday which looked like very good value for money (but we didn't try it). Highly recommended and I hope they get more customers as it's a very lovely restaurant.

On a rare occasion, I found myself craving curry and biryani. I decided to order from Jay’s Kitchen, hoping the food quality would justify the menu prices. I ordered Jay Lamb Curry, Chicken Biryani, Mutter Paneer, Saag Aloo, and Cheese Naan. Here’s my detailed experience with each dish: Jay Lamb Curry: This dish was a major letdown. It was overly oily and lacked any discernible flavor. The description promised a rich, aromatic curry, but what I received was far from it. Chicken Biryani: Calling this a biryani is an insult to the dish. It was incredibly bland and devoid of any taste. The spices were either missing or used so sparingly that they made no impact. Mutter Paneer: This dish was poorly executed. The onions were undercooked, and it seemed like an entire can of peas was dumped into the sauce. There was barely any paneer, and the overall taste was disappointing. Saag Aloo: This was perhaps the most confusing dish. Instead of spinach, the dish was filled with broccoli. I’m not sure when broccoli started masquerading as spinach, but it was a bizarre and unpleasant surprise. Overall, my experience with Jay’s Kitchen was extremely disappointing. The food was subpar and not worth the money. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a satisfying meal.

My partner ordered different dishes on Friday evening: a chicken biryani, a lentil soup, a cheese naan, another dish with lamb, sides with paneer and green peas and one with cauliflower/broccoli and potato... and the whole order was evenly disappointing, missing on flavours. We could not feel the cheese in the naan bread; the green peas were undercooked, the dahl lacked spices, and the lamb was spicy but flavourless. This meal was so frustrating that I cooked a biryani with a ready-mix box, which was much more flavourful.

Very nice food. Personally, I went in by myself and had no issues using the Wi-Fi. I can see this is a good restaurant for larger parties and groups of people. The time I usually go in is on a Sunday for the eat all you like buffet. I find this is quite empty when I'm there that people seem to be picking up takeaway orders or deliveries.

Very complete buffet for less than 12 pounds and very attentive staff. Very tasty food...
