Staying at Premier Inn Frome and we were looking for something different than pub food. Found this online and decided to have a go and it was the BEST Indian food we’ve had. We will definitely ordering again when we’re in the area. Highly recommended!

This was the third time ordering, the food was really good apart from the garlic naan. Couldn’t taste garlic at all, and this time the bottom of it was hard/stale. The staff were very friendly

Stopped off for a rare takeaway. Ordered a lamb sansak, veg pilau rice, peshwari nann. All totally superb. Lots of fresh ingredients, vegetables and meat. Sooo tasty!! Really impressive, will be having a take out more often. Thanks, Royal Bengal ✨

Absolutely the best take-away Indian food I have ever tasted, we are addicted. To my knowledge they do not deliver, which is a great shame because collecting is hazardous at their location. The only reason I gave Atmosphere 4 stars is because they are take-away only. Otherwise the staff are friendly and helpful. I also have to add their portions are more than ample.

If you're looking for really good traditional Indian food this is a good place to go. Of course it has the usual British twists on Indian food also. Some of the foods described temperature is not what you'd expect in my experience though. I had a tofu meal which was supposed to be described as medium but hard hardly any taste. I would underline that the rest of the mill was really nice and I can only assume there must have been an ingredient missing from this particular dish. The food was piping hot and ready for collection at the prescribed time. The staff serving the food knew exactly what they were doing which filled me with confidence.

Having read great reviews we popped in. Really friendly reception, kitchen looked scrupulously clean and food was superb ( chicken tikka and vegetable curry. Poppadoms were delicious and they gave us a free lime dip which was gorgeous. Curry had just the right amount of heat and my partner loved the tender tikka. All perfect we will return!

Outstanding food and service, very different menu, you can tell it’s cooked freshly, not oily at all.

Never had such amazing Indian food. Would never go anywhere else. Highly recommended!! Definitely recommend the chicken Dhansak and the butter chicken and the onion bahaji are perfect as well!

The food that these guys make is AMAZING!! Definitely the best Indian takeaway in the area!! We usually order the Badshahi Murog, Sag Ponir & rice, everytime the food is spot and the service is second to none!!! We have somewhat become addicted to the food they make!

WONDERFUL 1ST TIME EXPERIENCE. Driven past but never tasted. Walked into a friendly reception. Ordered safely Chicken Tikka Masala, Mixed Vegetable Curry, Pilau rice and some Keema Nan and Chapati. Wow, so many flavours, fragrances and delicious mouthfuls. A memorable meal to order again.

Conveniently, this take away is opposite a pub’s car park. Bliss, a couple of drinks and a takeaway to hand. What’s not to like ! Very good service with pleasant people taking orders over the phone, and in person. Piping hot and ready to collect. More importantly the food was very, very good. Better than the average I would say, good portions and we had two takeaways in all during our stay in Frome, both of which we enjoyed.

Highly recommend! Our absolute favourites, go to and the only Indian we ever use in Frome now! The food is outstanding, I never thought I'd find a replacement for our old curry house in London, but these guys are possibly even better :) Super easy to order on the website, an extensive and delicious range of food (try the tandoori paneer and sagwala if you are vegetarian). They are always bang on time when you go to pick up. All the staff are so friendly and go above and beyond. A truly brilliant local business.

Our favourite and go to Indian! So lucky that they are right around the corner, the food is delicious and they are a lovely, friendly bunch who always go the extra mile and give amazing customer service. By far and away the best Indian food in Frome. Highly recommend.

What a delicious takeaway we had to-night. The dishes were super tasty and far exceeded the normal Indians we have had previously. The sag aloo, Duck dabang , Makhany chicken and Millionaire prawns were all delicious . We will definetley be back in the future. Good sized portions filled with lots of flavour and spices . Just picked up a takeaway & only realised when arriving home that the mint sauce for the onion bhajis was missing. Phoned to advise that the sauce was missing. An apology was made & then an offer of an additional sauce next time. Really ?? Feeling very disappointed after always having a great meal & service on previous occasions. Dry onion bhajis not the best. Warning to others to check your takeaway before leaving.

The absolute best Indian restaurant I ever tried. I order every week now and this is our treat. They have an extensive menu and all the dishes are an explosion of flavours in your mouth. I am very picky and it took me a long time to find the perfect Indian restaurant. I am so glad I did!

Ordered chicken, got ostrich! That’s £10 wasted and so busy not worth making another drive to complain. Either they don’t know know the difference between the two animals or they gave us the wrong order, in which case I hope the other recipient likes it hot. Saturday treat gone wrong!

Love this food … in all my days this is hands down the best Indian food I have eaten .. fresh full of flavour and so tasty .. they make me a lamb Tekla masala sag and wow it is off the hook good .. if you live in Frome or passing through and want a treat this is well worth a go … you do need somewhere to eat it, it’s takeaway only :-)

Best Indian i have ever had. Every curry was good and the Chicken Tikka Mossala was amazing. They forgot the onion bhajis and didnt know how to refund them but it didnt ruin an amazing indian!

Excellent food with good quantity and quality. probably the best in Somerset. Duck Dabangg was delicious. dont forget to try their signature dishes from royal bengal specialties.

Have ordered food a few times now from The Royal Bengal and it is amazing. Great Indian food, freshly cooked, very tasty and 100% recommend. they have a great selection of different styles of curry, The staff also extremely nice and friendly.

The worst food ever used to be really good but not now...

What a disaster! Royal Bengal has raised the bar for me with a meal that tasted fresh, vibrant, flavoursome and smelled great! We had chicken tikka bhuna, Bombay aloo and naan. All of it tasted incredible. Will exclusively use this place now as everything else in Frome doesn't even come within a mile of Royal Bengal's flavour and quality.

Been trying to find a decent Indian since moving to the area, was recommended to try The Royal Bengal and very impressed! The best Indian takeaway in the area by far! staff are always polite over the phone, portions are good sizes and My Hydrabadi lamb was full of flavour.

Food was absolutely amazing! All fresh and hot , we had chicken korma and it has to be the best chicken korma I’ve ever taste and you get so many chicken chunks, one of the best Indians I’ve ever had really recommend this Indian, also give really good portion sizes ,best Indian In Frome without a doubt!

This place needs a restaurant. Garlic chilli chicken and chicken dhansak are amazing. The flavours were outstanding. This is probably the best Indian takeaway in Frome but it's best to put in an app order because I don't know how long you'd have to wait by just turning up.

We were recommended by the owners of the next door pub so thought we'd try it out. We rang and ordered our food ,were asked to collect in 20 minutes which we did .The service was super efficient and extremely friendly. The food was delicious and piping hot despite a 10 min walk home . Highly recommended.

Coming from Birmingham I can't comment on the local competition, but this curry was excellent.

They use a provider that says they do delivery but only when you've paid do you find out that they don't actually do delivery and they blame their platform. Very scammy behaviour. No refund so far.... nightmare of chasing repayment through faceless bureaucrats now ensues. Still waiting for refund… 1 hour later

Hang on a minute!! Take outs in Frome aren’t supposed to be this good!! Expert cooking the likes of which this area of the UK are not accustomed to!! This is now my go- to place!! Very VERY good!! 👍🤘👊

By far the best curry in the area. I've tried quite a few places around but they've always been somewhat disappointing. The curries and starters we had from the Royal Bengal were absolutely delicious and I'm looking forward to trying more food from here.

Love Indian food and this is by far the best takeaway in Frome these days. Ordered easily collected on time and wow was it worth it. Authentic indian food. The naan breads were light and very tasty (garlic naan). Lamb vindaloo and Tandoori mixed grill both with delicious tender meat, no gristly chewy meat here. Can't wait to try other dishes. Oh and polite staff from the phone call to the chefs - well done all.

We had our first order this evening and it was absolutely amazing, best Jelfrazi I have personally ever had. As someone who has been a strict herbivore vegan type for over 3 decades the online service is easy to navigate to find suitable meals. The Currys are exceptional, lovely fresh vegetables, fresh coriander where appropriate. I just can't praise it any more if I tried. No I don't work for them I just believe in speaking up about amazing work when I experience it.

Head and shoulders above all Frome curry houses. East London standards. In fact these lads are from there. Good portions, 5 stars for food hygiene, huge menu, imaginative recipes. We are hooked. It’s a relief to have a takeaway of this standard in Frome quite frankly, with so many pedestrian ones. Keep up the good work lads!!

As a former Londoner spoiled for choice of excellent Indian food on my doorstep I can honestly say The Royal Bengal is as good if not better than a proper London curry house. The owner and chef are so passionate about what they do and you can tell because the food and ingredients are authentic and top notch. Highly highly recommend. I just wish they had a sit in restaurant too!

Hands down, the best Indian takeaway in Frome right now. Big flavours, as evident from the chunks of cinnamon and cardamom coming out of my curry. I highly recommend the Dhoom Lamb. My goodness, I've had to cut these huge and plentiful chunks of lamb in half. Not common for a guy who can usually shovel a common curry down with a spoon. What a bonus to be able to wash it down with a draught pint of Cobra in the beer garden of the Royal Oak next door.

Had a takeaway last night to avoid the weekend rush. It was superb. By far the best curry we've had in Frome. We had a Lamb Methi and a Chicken Tikka Saag. The meat and gravy were superb on both. We will definitely be returning to Royal Bengal as our favourite currently house in Frome

This is a vegetarian review so possibly the meat dishes could be better. However really want to love this place! It is better than the others but I'm afraid it's only slightly better than the others in frome. We got a vegetarian dansack and vindaloo both were ok but nothing special. One flavour; choose your heat - was hoping for a range of flavour. I've had some good Indian takeaway food but this unfortunately at the moment isn't one to write home about - but is on a level with other veggie options in Frome (well worth ago though - we will be trying again) perfectly acceptable but nothing to get excited about. Hopefull

The real deal ! First time going in, met by two very polite gents who were very friendly and accommodating. Food was well worth the money and will certainly be going back. With a quick glimpse of the kitchen all I could see was fresh ingredients and it tasted like it too! A future staple takeaway for sure🤘🏻🤘🏻

Amazing food I highly recommend

Food took 15 minutes longer than advertised which meant standing around in a very cramped space with only one other person wearing a mask. One of the dishes was stone cold. And the price of some dishes was not justified (e.g. three tiny samosas for £3.50). Other dishes were tasty. It's early days for the Royal Bengal and hopefully it will improve. I wish them well.

Ordered on Valentine’s Day, pre ordered for 8.30 collection. Was early so rang to say be there at 8.15 food came out at 8.10 so hats off to them as they were very busy, missing a naan bread standard mistake, onion bhaji was the best ever not the typical doughy/ potato type clearly fresh and homemade, both curry’s very thick and not watery like most Indians. Best Indian I have had for years.

Heard about the royal Bengal from a friend and saw it driving passed, since most of the other curry houses in FROME have gone down hill I thought I give it a try and was NOT disappointed. Online ordering was fast and easy to use. Food was fast and hot and as for the dishes. Absolutely brilliant. Haven’t had a curry that good in a long time. Would definitely recommend
