Camden Tandoori Restaurant in Camden

Was not really bad, but I don't really understand all theses positives reviews either. Decoration is very average at best, toilets are rudimentary (you'll cross some mold on the walls on your way down). Service was ok, no complain there. But, my main complain, is that is was not really Indian food, (from Bengladesh I believe but did not knew that beforehand). All the curries were either bland either too sweet, not bad, but just not what I was expecting (and thus I was disapointed). Taste like curries you could serve to children, not spicy at all and portion were rather small (but we had a reduction, maybe they cut the shares). So, I'm not saying don't go there, but don't trust blindly all the positive review, you have to decide if this is for you. The fact they serve zero alcohol was also a small issue for me, I do like a glass or two of real wine with my meal.

Never recommend this shop . Price is too much high

Last day I was going Camden tandoori with my friend for dine in biryani. Time 1 pm they keep out side banner their biryani’s price nearly 5-6 pound but this guy took from me 80 pound only for 3 biryani . When I asked him he don’t care about my word he is talking with mobile and said yes. I strongly agree in dine in they took service charge but how can it’s 80 pound . I don’t have any idea … overall I never recommend this

I eat here about once a week and it is the best Indian food I’ve had in London. I literally keep a list of all the chicken tikka masala I have tried in London and Camden tandoori is always on top. The people are so kind as well. 11/10

Amazing food at very reasonable price. The tandoori lamb is out of this world. Lamb biryani is amazing. Their naan with coconut is very unique. I took my Chinese friends there, and they fell in love with Indian food. Later, I took my family there, and they too fell in love with the food. The decor is also romantic, with white table cloth and superb friendly service.

Terrible korma & lamb masala. Very watery with no flavour! Obviously been frozen then defrosted! Naan & samosas were the only decent things we ate! Waste of money!

No se vende alcohol en las instalaciones, pero hay vinos sin alcohol y cervezas disponibles, así como su refresco habitual. La comida era abundante y muy sabrosa. Pequeño lugar encantador y a un precio muy razonable, especialmente por la ubicación. Sin duda volvería a visitar si en la zona.

Been there with my girlfriend during our trip to London for a fast dinner, but we both ended up falling in love with the cuisine. Everything was perfect, from the appetizers to the side dishes, and the service was A+, everyone was so kind and we felt at home. 10/10 would recommend to any Indian cuisine lover, and 11/10 would recommend to anyone who still has to discover its wonders for the first time!

One of the best curries I’ve had in a very long time. Peshwari naan was loaded with coconut, the masala lamb chops were incredible and the vindaloo really hit the spot. There’s no beer, which was a bit disappointing, but the food 100% made up for that. Staff really attentive without being overbearing. Well worth the visit!!!!

Quite laid back and chill place, staffs were joking with us. We came here because going to an event nearby. The lamb biryani is very fragrant and I love the corianders on top, the rice itself is very mildly spicy so the corianders go well with it. The potato curry sauce on the side together gives the rice extra texture, and makes it less dry. Great value for money. You can ask to make it more spicy if you want to, they’ll ask whether you want red or green chilli! The masala chai however, is a bit disappointing, they used the chai tea bag and not the actual spices. It still tasted good, better than chained cafes but wasn’t authentic.

Ate here last night. The Mrs & I definitely enjoyed the food. Among the best we have had on this trip to LDN. Good food, polite & attentive service. Will def come again once in the area. It’s new management, so not the Curry 4 U experience for those who may have been before.

We went in this restaurant twice during our trip in London and it was just amazing. The food is wonderful and the people holding the restaurant are really nice. Would recommend to anyone wanting to eat good Indian food in London !

The first Time we ate at this place was such a great experience we had to go back two date later before the end of our london trip. The food is delicious and the people are so kind and caring. Would definitely recomand eating here if you’re in london.

Dined here with 2 kids, including an over-tiree toddler.. servers went above and beyond to accommodate. Service was fast. Food was great. Everyone went to bed happy and full.

The only thing il say for other customers is that i think the spice ratings are off. I got a rogan josh and it was very mild ; but rated as spicy. However, putting that aside, the food tastes great, order was correct,well packaged; so no spills!,warm,not hot but acceptable! tastes GREAT. Waiting time for a Saturday was reasonable also. Just suggesting the retaurant edits it's spice rating.

I really don't understand the positive reviews here. Food was well below average, and that is being generous. The only thing I liked was the mint chocolates at the end.

The food was packed very poorly. It was dripping with oil and some food were coming out the container. It was very messy very disappointed.

Lamb Karahi was mostly full of big pieces of onions, bit disappointing, tasted bit sweet. Chicken bhuna, Chicken portion bit less, taste ok. Driver was polite.

We were kindly welcomed by Mahfuj at 22:30 and he served us a fantastic meal! Clearly the best Indian food we’ve ever tasted. If you have the chance please stop by this place next time you are in Camden!

Food was below average for the price and portions were tiny. Service was adequate, considering only 2 tables were occupied, it should have been much better. Overall the atmosphere was terrible and the restaurant is in dire need of a refurb.

Yesterday around 8:30 pm we were there for dinner my friend ( Ojas)and me. Must tell you we were solely because of the reviews seen online. But the food definitely was not worth it in the starters we had paneer chilli ( didn’t really feel even close to it) and for the mains I had vegetarian option which is veg jalfrezi and roti. I must tell you I have never eaten so bad vegetable till now it was just cut vegetables that to big cut pieces some uncooked potatoes and some stale veggies and certainly roti was decent. As I could not finish the veg jalfrezi I ordered dal tadka most basic option to save the dinner but that too I will not recommend being an Indian. Sorry Camden Tandoori I had to be blunt to let people know the honest review and of course for your improvement.

My husband and I really enjoyed the meal we had at Camden Tandoori last week. As tourists, we weren't sure which curry house we should go to, so we asked a local and he said Camden Tandoori has been in business for decades and that their food is excellent. Turns out, he was right! We had the chicken tikka masala and the sag paneer, with garlic naan. All three were fantastic. It was reasonably priced and the servers were kind and helpful. We'd definitely return on a regular basis if we didn't live 5,000 miles away!

Cosy resturant with good quality food. Really liked the poppadoms and alloo. My dining partner enjoyed the butter chicken.

Really great food, my favourite Indian place and I’ve tried so many!! Just wanted to say sorry to the restaurant for being issued a double refund from Just Eat after the driver failed to deliver the first order. Its not what I asked for and I explained the situation but they still refunded both order. Sorry about that! Keep up the good work and I’ll definitely be ordering from you again!

Super nettes Personal und super Essen! Als wir kamen war das Restaurant voll und uns wurde gesagt wir sollen ein paar Minuten warten. Als immer noch nichts frei wurde hat der Besitzer einfach von draußen noch einen Tisch geholt und wir haben unseren persönlichen kleinen Platz bekommen. Service war auch super schnell und Essen sehr lecker. Kann ich nur empfehlen
