Food was just about warm & not as nice as it normally is

Always get fantastic food and service here - can't recommend highly enough.

First time ordering we absolutely loved the food, the only thing that would make it better would be making sure the salad and yogurt is sent with the tikka chicken main! Tikka chicken and yogurt is my favourite so was a little sad

wasn't happy with my pani puri today

garlic nan bread tiny,tasteless,not worth nearly five pound.Chicken korma overloaded with coconut.Delivery missing chips had to wait for them to be delivered again.Lets just say first and last time i will be ordering from here.Beyond shocking.

Arrived spot on delivery window the delivery driver was so friendly and nice lovely lad food was still hot so tasty and delicious

Rang the store just to make sure it wasnt delivered elsewhere as it was 10 mins after the longest delivery time, and showed as delivered. They were very helpful got in touch with the driver and apologised and told me it was on its way. Great service.

Found a live caterpillar in the food, phoned to let the restaurant know and they back to the house to see if there really was a caterpillar, took the dish away and said they would be back with food to compensate and then never came back with a replacement dish

The best place for a curry ever!!

Order was 30 mins late for collection, got home there was no chicken tikka in the mossalla sauce! The onion bajhi had an unpleasant taste and couldn’t be eaten. Normally 5 stars from here, not sure what happened tonight

The food was amazing ordered their mixed biryani, the restaurant was beautiful, and the staff was super generous especially josh.

What is the point in ordering for a given time only for it to turn up 35 minutes early - ludicrous - not recommended

Birthday celebration: As always a warm welcome from the staff, prompt service and a wide choice of dishes on the menu. Would recommend the Sultan to anyone who wants a new experience.

It's pathetic.. service is very bad. I went there on a weekend with my wife and 2 kids, drove 20 minutes from my house, paid tyne tunnel tolls to and fro, wasted an hour and half. The staff was unresponsive we sat for 25 minutes and no body took order from our table. I stood up and asked at the reception even after that nobody responded. We left from the place after 30 minutes with no food/no order taken from anyone. It was quite disrespectful for us. Very bad experience, I will never go there again and recommend my known ones to avoid such a place. British people don't know the actual taste of dishes like paneer and chicken, they are serving all of these dishes in a fabricated manner, their curries are not even close to any Indian recipes, (I visited there 2-3 months back in June with my friends and tasted quite a few things from the menu, and next time and next time this service incident happened). They are just fooling white people in the name of Indian food. 😑😐😐😡 (As I can't reply, so edited this about how I know the taste)

We were very pleased when we visited on Wednesday 6th June.... This is the second time we have taken some of our residents and some family members to enjoy our "curry club" at the Sultan.....the food was delicious and the service excellent...... Arif done everything he could to tailor various meal requests to make our visit pleasant ....... A huge thank you to Arif and Mahoi......we will definitely visit again soon.,.... Pauline

Tasty food service a bit slow 🐌

Had a meal Wednesday night, had heard good reviews but never visited, meal was excellent, service great and good night altogether. Will definitely visit again and try a takeaway some time. Thanks to all the staff who made the night special.

Piping hot speedy delivery and absolutely delicious

Food, service and facilities were fantastic. We decided on a whim to try the Sultan based on a quick Google search for restaurants near where we were at the time. We took a chance on the Sultan of Jarrow and we were definitely not disappointed. The service was fantastic with the staff being attentive and helpful. There was a huge choice on the menu and all of the dishes we tried were amazing - freshly made, tasty and great value for money. The restaurant was clean and well-presented. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good Indian restaurant - it’s a real hidden gem but one we’ll be back to visit again! Thank you to all for a fantastic evening.

Amazing restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious. They do a special every day for around £15 which is great value. The service was brilliant too! We will definitely be back :)

Food was mostly warm chips and nann undercooked and cold paid extra for chicken tikka but got plain chicken and was offered £4 credit bill was £30 expecting better customer service

Food arrived 10 mins late, however you could tell it has been sat in the bags for a while as all of the paper was wet through. Quality of food was pretty poor to be honest, most of the mighty bucket got picked at to be fair but the majority of it went back in the bucket. Shame as previously ordered from here and was nice, probably swerve it if I was ordering again.

Food was late. Delivery driver apparently had knocked twice on our door; after ringing restaurant they said driver had gone to wrong address. Food cold on arrival.

Won’t order again! Tried to explain to the bloke who answered the phone after waiting an hour for food if you Google Sultan of Jarrow it gives you a few options for delivery (one being flip dish pay £4 get delivery in 40 mins) which i paid. he seemed to be very defensive saying “I never told you that” and “I don’t need this” his attitude was shocking I was only trying to explain but for some reason he thought it was a personal dig. Dont advertise to customers this option if you can’t meet the 40mins or you need to speak to flip dish and ask why this is plastered over google! Food arrived 20 mins after the call so 1hr 20 in total so more than double the time I thought it would be and the food was shocking when it arrived rice freezing and naan bread was rock hard

chips were delicious mixed kebab starter was juicy but all tasted the same no spices Vindaloo curry was like a madras at best even asked for it hot but was bland with a tiny bit heat considering I live round the corner it was still late which was ironic second time ordering a year apart and a remember why I didn't go back

Had a chicken Jalfrezi last night on takeaway , blandest curry I have ever had. No spice no real taste and chicken was tough as old boots 🤦‍♂️

This is the only place we order curry from. It doesn’t taste powdery like what you get from other curry places. Highly recommended.

Weird small poppadoms with seeds. Watery mint sauce. Jalfrezi was tasteless with no peppers in. Rice was tasteless and cold. Chicken tikka masala -requested it spicy but it wasn’t. Onion bajis ok. Won’t order again

Food was beautiful but drinks were missing, called shop and they said they were sending them and didn’t receive drinks. Other than that it was lovely.

My rice was cold and my chicken was tough the garlic bread was half burnt I was verry disappointed with this meal and also I had a voucher wich was over 6 pound and I put the code in but never came of my total bill please can you look into it plz thank you
