Ordered 2 deliveries last week worst curry I have ever had chicken not cooked properly asked for a medium got a madras to hot terrible.

Meal was delicious. Service was excellent My favourite Indian restaurant

Lovely dinner at Radhuni on Good Friday, the Sheek kebab starters were very tasty, & the curry’s we ordered Chicken Dupiaza & Chicken Madras, were cooked perfectly & served on previously warmed plates, the waiters & servers were all polite & attentive, I liked the added bonus of the hot towels to freshen your hands after your meal. We will back next time we’re in South Shields thank you

Went there tonight for my sons 50th birthday. Extra people had to be catered for but they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Had the most fabulous tasty meal. The waiters were absolutely great and I think he was called Acktar was very accommodating and brilliant at his job. All in all a fabulous night. They came out with the cake and flaming candles. Thank you so much he doesn't like to go to many places since he had his stroke but he loved it

Me and my husband tried tonight very disappointed table booked for 8.45 pm. Starters of sheek kebab and onion bhaji very bland and mint sauce minimal . Curry hubby got chicken Sri Lankana which wasn't hot I got plain beef curry tasteless. back to dilshad in future after tonight

Apart from one friendly female staff member, the service was extremely disappointing. The rest of the team was neither helpful nor welcoming. We had to wait at least 10 minutes for everything, and the waiter didn’t even offer an apology or a single smile. The food quality was equally poor. It was served cold and drenched in oil, as you could clearly see it pooling on top. The meat was tough, old, and nearly impossible to chew. I regret choosing this place for my husband’s birthday—it was a huge letdown.

Where do i even start... After our original restaurant was shut, we came to Radhuni for dinner. Granted, we were a walk in party of 8 that turned into 6, Radhuni were very acommodating for our party. After this gracious gesture, this was the only good thing i could say about this restaurant. We arrived at 6:30 to be seated in a waiting area and then seated at 6:40, although, it went downhill from here. It took them no time at all to take our beginning drinks orders, which the drinks took 10/15 minutes to arrive. We were then walked past countless times until 7:09, then we alerted the staff we were infact ready to order. They took our orders, to which at 7:50 i asked the server where our starters were and they then came at 7:55, which for starters is a ridiculous amount of time. At this point, everyone on our table were fed up. Seemingly, other tables were recieving their food promptly. We were then left with empty glasses along our table, whilst servers walked past without clearing them off, nor asking us if we'd like any more. At around 8:34 we were now more than fed up with this appaling service, we once again had to ask where our food was. At 8:47 we eventually received our food, which was standard at best. Not only was the food standard, one member of our party was left without their main course alltogether, without no word of it being late. We again, had to alert a staff member of this, along with another drink order. With our patience wearing extremely thin, we finished our food and asked for the bill without our desert, included in the set meal our party ordered. This was intended to be a 21st Birthday celebration, supposed to be enjoyable, special evening meal, which all we were served was dissapointment, This milestone birthday should be memorable, in which case all we can remember about this birthday and restaurant is saddened, disheartened and most of all dissapointed. Please do better, for other customers, as we most definitely won't be back.

Love this curry house. The food is always so delicious and clealrly fresh. Such a variety of dishes and the service is always brilliant. Lovely atmosphere and there chef special curries are so different to your traditional curries. One of my faves on ocean road!

Delicious curries and food always seems pretty fresh and full of flavour. A lot of choice and their chef specialities are very different to other curry houses. Lovely atmosphere and feels like it will be pretty expensive but prices match the others on ocean road. One of the best ones on Ocean Road for sure.

Came for a meal with work, service and food was outstanding. Ordered takeaway for my partner and when I got him realised it was the wrong curry, rang and they had the correct one delivered within 30 mins.

My tip would definitely to make a booking for this restaurant as it is always busy. The staff are friendly and welcoming as well as being very efficient. The food is excellent, fresh and very tasty. Nothing that I could with the food we have had on the two recent occasions visiting. First class food and service would definitely recommend.

Honestly the best Indian cuisine , with the best service and just lovely friendly staff. Nothing else to say but try it for yourself.....

We were here for Christmas lunch as a family. I could not fault anything. The service was excellent as was the delicious food. Staff were friendly and efficient. The magician was a fantastic touch to the experience. My son recommended here as they visit quite often. We will be back for sure. Thank you for a wonderful day!!!

We had a ten member family reunion, after meeting in a pub, the Wouldhalve, we went up Ocean Road for our annual curry. We were made very welcome and seated comfortably on a long table. We then ordered drinks and perused the menu. There were plenty of delicious options to choose from. I did my usual chicken tikka starter and a jalfrezi main with poppadoms, paratha and naan bread. Every mouthful was a scintillating delight, the food was absolutely delicious and EVERYONE in our group was very happy with the food, quality, service and ambiance of the restaurant. We will definitely be going again. This place is top class Indian.

Radhuni is the place to go for a mouthwatering culinary extravaganza. The staff were amazing , made us feel welcome and were treated like VIPs. Its 5* reputation is well earned for the food and service and Atmosphere. The manager Kamal ensured everybody had a great experience and i even had fun with the staff who were happy to pose with me for photos . Thank you all for a great evening .

Unreal. Not sure where to begin. I'm always dubious on trying restaurants based on someone else's opinion as were all different however 3 separate people jn half an hour recommended here... seemed too good to miss. Wow, not only was the food outstanding but the staff were amazing. The gentleman who's an Indian southerner and geordie all in one hahah😅 was just the friendliest guy ever. The laid back atmosphere makes that place. I'm definitely coming back. Probably too many times that my waistline is going to fall out with me but how could I not. My number 1 fav restaurant for now. 😊

Ordered food online and 3 hours later food still not arrived

Order the takeaway at 7 ISH, waited 3hrs for it. Ordered it over just eat.. rang up at 9ish ask where it is said it's on way still has not came

Order a curry sunday night at 6pm .estimated delivery suggested 80 mins .rang up 4 times to ask where it was at ..got told it will be there in next 10 .food never arrived till 8.40pm . Piss take all round .food was not at the usual high standard. Wont be ordering again .

This place simply has everything right. From the moment you walk through the door you receive attentive but not over the top service. The decor is lovely and it has a very welcoming atmosphere. The food is fabulous, and the amazing friendly service is second to none. Would definitely recommend.

Very disappointed. £15 for king prawn pathia and there was only 3 prawns in it. Also the chips were cold and hard. The meal did not live up to the price

Radhuni has an extensive menu and offers a special menu till 10pm. The Decor at Radhuni is fabulous. One of if not thee largest restaurants on Ocean road. Staff very friendly & professional. Cleanliness super. Free car park to the rear of building with disabled parking also available.

The food is good but I feel I get ripped off when ordering take away on line so Beware when ordering online as you get charged 60 pence service charge every time, they have been notified time and again but it is still there. Also 20% discount when ordering online but if you have an account it will not apply the discount which is not good.

We were having a family meal - table booked for 6:30pm. Due to the restaurant being busy, we did not get our ordered food till 8:30pm after a two hour wait. Totally unacceptable service. One star for the nice food, that was utterly spoilt by the unreasonably long wait. Would not recommend.

As soon as I walked into the restaurant I felt such a welcoming presence. The atmosphere was incredible and happy vibes all around. The service was on point they were so polite and alway checking in on us. When the food came out the aromas were outta this world. It tasted absolutely unbelievable. This is the best restaurant I have ever been to. I highly recommend to anyone who is thinking of going. There is choices for anyone so do t worry. I will 100% be returning. All around amazing !

Exemplary place in the popular South Shields. Great selection of Indian Cuisine and sides. Lots of drinks options. Great place for date night, family, gatherings, parties and groups. The staff can't do enough for you! There is on street parking and around the rear of the building. I'd highly recommend this place to everyone. 😊

Nice food, good service and value

This is largest and probably nicest decor on Ocean Rd. gets busy. I just ordered the chicken tima masala (creamy, delicious) and boiled rice (decent portion). Service great

Very dissapointed! My brother was in on holiday from Texas and he was craving a curry. We were highly recommended to the radhuni. Our meals came out and mine was stone cold. My brother's was lukewarm and ny nieces had a big long hair in it. If this is not bad enough, we were shown no remorse at all. Food was taken back warmed up in microwave no doubt and not even a sorry. I doubt I'll ever be going back there. It's a shame because we usually go to ocean road for a curry.

First time here and it certainly did not disappoint. beautifully presented and lots of it! Many other tables where taking left overs home. Atmosphere is really relaxed and waiting staff very attentive without being intrusive like other Indian restaurants. Best Indian we have had in a long time. £14.95 for a 3 course special 7 days a week no time restrictions so excellent value! I highly recommend and will be returning.

Probably the best Tandori mixed grill with excellent service in a fantastic environment, absolutely loved it.

Couple of times we went to this hotel and every single time we enjoyed the atmosphere and the delicious food of this restaurant. The service was fantastic especially mr Ecktar mia who is always looked after us and who had a good sense of humour. There is many restaurants in ocean road but this one is exceptional because of the delicious food even the price is affordable! Highly recommended this restaurant.

First time ordering from here and I was told 70 mins for delivery 15 mins later i get a call saying the order is here well im out walking the dogs so rush home too get it.i was sodisappointed bombay potatoes 4 small bits of potato and never experienced a colour and flavour like this ever before. Main meal first bite and a sharp chicken bone cut my gums not only that but the amount of lemon juice killed the curry even my dog refused it. I'm done with these local curry shops the standard of food is terrible.

Celebrating my father’s 80th back in his hometown. Not only was the food delicious - and it was amazingly delicious - but I took a birthday cake with us which they brought out at the end and went the extra mile with a huge candle and singing happy birthday. It made dad’s night. Thank you to all the staff for making the evening so special.

Went here recently with my family for my birthday. The service is absolutely second to none every time we go. Staff are extremely attentive, very pleasant and make you feel so welcome. We went here a couple of weeks ago with a couple of friends they live nearby ,couldn’t believe how busy it was on a Tuesday night ,quite amazing ,it was packed out ,it’s really nice restaurant with sofas in the waiting area very nice touch ,love the decor throughout its a huge set up but there’s sections of seating areas ,so more cosy ,the service was spot on ,even though they must have been rushed off their feet ,the staff were excellent ,very attentive and friendly ,obviously the food was amazing,plenty of choice ,and nicely presented ,can’t fault this place at all and definitely recommend you give it a try ,you won’t be disappointed ,it’s in Ocean Road and there’s free parking very nearby ,which is a bonus

Disappointing to say the least, Food was great, the waiting staff were excellent, a query over a desert item was dealt with by...not dealt with as professionally as it should have, l am not going back, won't be taking any family member there and don't recommend anyone else going there in the future they are looking to rip you off....shame as it's a nice restaurant.....

Top drawer. This is not an average Ocean Road "curry house". Smashing little wine list too. Highly recommended and the service is first class.

Beautiful food best chicken I have ever tasted in a curry

Food was brilliant. Starters beau. Nain chicken Sri Lanka was spicy but one of the best ever had. Staff really friendly.

We had a lovely time, and the food was incredible. From the pickles and poppadoms. To the gulab jamun. Our mains were Korma, Tikka massala, and Madras with Bombay aloo and onion bhaji's, plus various nan breads on the side. We had absolutely no complaints. All three courses and sides came to less than £80. Even if you add our individual drinks on top plus tips, it was a really affordable night. We will definitely be back.

Been here a few times now, I only usually get chicken tikka korma and never had an issue. Hubs orders lamb from chef meats and theres no mention of them being super hot, but his last 2 dishes have been very hot. No flavour just heat. I think the online menu needs updating a little to explain how hot things are.

Amazing! The special menu is such good a lie for money and the portion sizes were amazing! Everything was brilliant and the staff are lovely. My new favourite!

Made a special journey from Sunderland for takeaway got home to Durham only to find no curry but 2 containers of rice... on a Saturday and missed 1st half of match to boot ... only prepared to compensate for missing meal reluctantly so, not taking into account inconvenience and night partly ruined, lacking proper apology...

Got a takeaway tonight a madras with veg pilau absolutely delicious very spicy can't fault it staff are fab as always ...can't give any stars for atmosphere as a take away but you will not be disappointed.

Had a chicken madras carryout absolutely delicious with veg pilau rice mmmm ordered by phone took 20 mins to drive and collect well worth it... The madras curry spicy totally recommend this place. Can't put stars for atmosphere because I did not eat in ...but everything else spot on.

Lovely service, food and atmosphere on New Year's Eve.

5.00pm on the first Thursday after new year and we thought would be empty but what a nice relaxed atmosphere with customers arriving throughout our meal. Our first time here and delicious - masala fish was amazing as was my chicken saag and micks bhuna. Our waiter was lovely and overall we were very impressed. Definitely one to return to.

Lovely meal out in quite a nice building. I got the Garlic Mushroom Puri and Chicken Tikka Masala, and they were as good as any other you'd expect from a restaurant, for a decent price too.

That is absolutely shocking . Sending an email and text message at 3 in the morning of the day of the supposed meal to say your booking has been declined .And stating only table in lounge and nye meal £34.95 . Restaurant was recommended so won’t be going there ever again . Will be loading on social media to show how customers treated at your restaurant . Wife booked this with plenty of notice

Easily one of the best restaurants. My parents and myself go each time I am back in town. Super tasty food, staff are always kind, welcoming and very professional. Great atmosphere and decent prices for the high quality food.

Lovely restaurant decor and atmosphere impressive. Staff were pleasant however found delays between courses a little too long. We chose the set menu which was reasonably priced. Found our main course very salty rather than spicy which was disappointing, we had a long wait for the bill and eventually went to the bar to pay. The cost of a pint of cobra and half a magners at £12.50 was a bit of a surprise but maybe we don’t get out much!

Really nice looking restaurant, but to be honest we were a little bit disappointed with the service and the food .the food just wasn't spicy enough for me and the 3 lads I was with though the same.

Food was great, service was mostly good, patience began to wear thin after waiting an hour for our starters. - that being said it was a 7pm on a Friday.

Update nearly two years on. Even better now. THE BEST CURRY in Ocean Rd. Wife and I visited Thu night and chose from the 'weekday special menue', adding pops n picks and a nann to it We were both blown away regarding our experience. Pickle tray, starter, mushroom rice and main were all fantastic in terms of quality, presentation, quantity and taste. Service was extremely smart, attentive (not imposing) and friendly. Resteraunt itself, clean and well decorated and arranged. In summary, probably THE best curry experience we've had anywhere, in the UK or elsewhere.

This is me and my boyfriends favourite Indian cuisine restaurant. The the food, service and atmosphere is beautiful. The decor is stunning and relaxing.
