5/5. Beef Madras lovely - more meat than I expected. Mopped up with a delicious peshwari naan. Great place to dine in or take away. South Shields might have it's "curry mile" but it is worth going out of your way to visit this place. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food and staff are friendly.

Another visit to our local Indian restaurant and we are so lucky to have this place on our doorstep. I’ve tried most of the Chefs speciality dishes and my wife usually has a standard curry - never been disappointed . The staff are simply the best and can’t do enough for you - all so friendly , helpful and pay attention to your needs We went through a stage when we were there most weeks but then we’ve been on a fitness/ health kick and regretfully haven’t visited as often …….but pleased to see that their standards haven’t dropped.

Been to Eastern Touch recently for the first time and it instantly became my favourite spot for Indian cuisine. The service from the attentive staff was excellent, and the food is to die for. Special mention to the ever friendly Russel, who goes above and beyond to make sure every visit was a perfect meal. After countless delectable visits I returned for my birthday. They made my 21st birthday celebrations a special evening to remember. I could not recommend Eastern Touch enough!

Ambience was lovely, cosy, music not too loud, service impeccable, food delicious, perfectly cooked, good amount, we finished all dishes. Very clean. Will definitely return.

Went here last night with a few friends who are all curry veterans! Everyone commented how good the food was here. I had the garlic chilli chicken which was delicious and honestly, i could have again today! Superb quality and we'll deff be going back soon. highly recommended.

This review is based on the takeaway menu and service. We were so looking forward to trying Eastern Touch as the reviews were so good, but we have been left feeling slightly disappointed. Customer service was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice authentic style Indian restaurant. Food was ok, nice and well packaged. Not much more to say to be fair, suppose our expectations were too high after reading the excellent reviews but we have had better elsewhere. I feel bad for leaving this 'slightly' negative review because it looks a lovely restaurant and the staff were really nice, but at the end of the day the review is about the food. I would suggest trying it out to see if it's for you, sadly it's not for us.

We visited Eastern Touch this evening for our evening meal. I was cold when I first went in and one of the staff put the overhead heater on which was very welcoming. The food was excellent and very good value and good quality food.Everything was hot and tasty. The staff were very welcoming and very attentive nothing was too much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend Eastern Touch to anyone

Went to eastern touch east boldon for evening meal arrived at 6.30 .absolutely fantastic meal best curry I've had for a long time. waiters very polite nothing was a problem.will definitely be back or get a carry out.

Great service and always try to find us a table even when busy. Go here regularly and always excellent flavours and choice. Highly recommended.

Superb, simply superb. Once again a fantastic meal from start to finish. The onion bhaji’s are to die for and the lamb chops are the best I’ve ever had. If you’ve not been, please try it. You won’t be disappointed.

Another fantastic visit to the eastern touch tonight! Food was fast, fresh and tasty. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. I go with a friend whos in a wheelchair and the staff always go above and beyond to accommodate us. Big shout out to Abdul! went here on the recommendation from friends who visit regularly. My first time but will definitely be back! The venue itself is easy to find being right next to East Boldon metro station. On arrival you enter via a reception area and go through a narrow archway to get into the restaurant. I'm a wheelchair user but can walk with crutches to my seat. Not sure if a wheelchair user who cannot walk at all would be able to get through this archway. Once in the restaurant I could see there were hardback benches/seats which are perfect for my back so I requested to be sat on one of those. Looking at the menu over my first job is always to check out the red wine selection of course! I found a simple selection of 4 different types. As I was not in the mood for heavy drinking I opted for a large house red which was good enough. Checking out the food menu I could see so many choices that would satisfy my appetite! I also spotted some dishes that I'd never had before. After a few helpful answers from the very friendly staff I opted for a spicy bullet starter and Resala King prawn for mains with garlic and chill naan. The food was sensational! Both dishes cooked vindaloo hot as requested! And very moderate priced too! 4 of us ate there and total bill came to £115. Excellent value for money! Thank you for a great night and see you soon!

The food is amazing- everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The service was fantastic too, staff are very friendly and welcoming so theres a great atmosphere from the moment you walk in. We really enjoyed our evening and will definitely be back.

We've just had a fantastic time at the Eastern Touch for an 88th birthday. The food was delicious. The staff were all very friendly and so attentive. They couldn't have done more. We got parked right outside. I've only knocked a star off for atmosphere as we were the only ones in th restaurant for a while (Sunday evening), although it was like a private party! Thank you so much for a great night.

Family meal for birthday. The food was very well presented and tasted delicious. Wonderful staff. We were made so welcome and at home. Special attention for the birthday girl aged 88. Can definitely recommend this restaurant. Also took a take away home for a family member who couldn't make it. Thanks guys.

Just a heads up about the pricing at Eastern touch !!!! We ordered a takeaway that's normally twenty odd quid with delivery. Tonight we were told thirty odd quid,we rang back to check the prices and all the prices are more than they advertise online.They must be making thousands a week from this scam. Fair enough put your prices up,but you must not decieve people...adjust your website first.you have lost a large family of regular customers.

Fabulous restaurant with an incredible array of main dishes. Had the Punjabi Stir-fry to start and the Sri Lankan for mains, which was as good as any I've had. Good atmosphere, quite an intimate venue with very attentive staff. Will definitely be back to sample more from the menu.

Ordered starter waited 30 min for main meal as they where busy doing delivery orders main meal came £13 was a king prawn meal got 3 prawns I commented only to be told I am just a worker , then came back to say chef put 4 prawns in, nope 3 £79.80 will not be going back there , could have getten better take away disgusting for sit down meal

I've ate in at this restaurant approx 4 times and tonight had my second takeaway special On both occasions I had Bhuna prawn on puree ( plz excuse the spelling) and on both occasions it was barely warm. The first time of trying I emptied...

The best food by far. Love this place. Beautiful tasty food everytime. Wouldn't go anywhere else, and it's right on my doorstep too. Brilliant friendly staff.

Heard lots of promising things about this place (apart from the chips which are basically oven chips). Especially from a friend who lives about 100 metres away from me and got a delivery. Was very excited to try it. Phoned up tonight, order ready to go and get told it’s too far for them to deliver. I’ve now fell out with my wife because she’s hangry. Also heard one of the managers moonlights at smulders

Food is always amazing, the staff greet you like an old friend and are the picture of service with a smile. Covid-19 delivery was brilliant and their dine in set up for a small restaurant is perfect and safe. Pity I can't give 6 stars

I have eaten here regularly for around twenty years and I have never had a curry anywhere else that comes close. Consistent quality, excellent friendly service and good value for money (especially off the special menu).

This is my second visit and I must say it’s the most authentic Indian restaurant I’ve been to. From the meal to service everything first class.

Good food served promptly on hot plates. Small premises but clean and bright. One star removed as one waiter repeatedly wiped his nose with his hand and four king prawns in a main dish is tight!

Called in here for my wife's 65th birthday meal. Highly disappointing the buhna prawn on puree was luke warm. The pickle tray was minimal with three dishes, the poppadums were microwaved I'm sure. Along with horrible skinny fries, and microwaved rice, The curries them selves...

Been ordering from here for years and recently the staff have been very cheeky and unprofessional. They forgot nan bread and when I phoned them up to let them know the y started arguing with me about some nan bread. Pathetic. Never going back.

Forgot nan bread rang up and told me I didn't order a meal deal with a nan when I did. Poor customer had the cheek to argue with me over a nan bread.. terrible service.. miserable staff!
