Pathetic restaurant never ever order and eat from here they have screwed up the order without any indication of why please avoid

Says 'vegan friendly' on Delivery and yet not a single dish labelled as 'vegan'

The food here really is good. Standouts were the meat Masala Dosa and a paratha that accompanied our curry. The Dosa was probably the best I've ever had, the worst being at Indira Gandhi Airport Delhi! The curry was very tasty but the paratha frequently a disappointment elsewhere was simply filo like perfection. Dosas don't travel well so you really should grab one there rather than as a takeaway.

We had a wonderful meal at Vai's celebrating our anniversary. The food was the best we've eaten out in a long time. We'll certainly be back & bring family & friends too.

I don’t usually do reviews but i felt i had to, the food was amazing! Their was so much flavour in everything and the pieces are good aswell. the aubergine fingers are insane i haven’t stopped thinking about it since we were there and the staff are so lovely and friendly. The only downside was the design of the place as everything was abit dull. Will definitely be returning!! :)

The first time I’ve visited under the current ownership, décor could do with some sprucing up, but I went there to eat & boy I wasn’t disappointed the food was excellent, the service was excellent, I will 100% be eating there again very, very soon!! Thank you.

Excellent family run restaurant, with attentive and friendly service. The food is excellent and has an authentic Indian taste. Second visit, just to make sure it was just as good as the first. Not disappointed - some excellent dishes at sensible cost. Well worth a visit.

Wine wasn't all that. Service Poor. Food burnt & had to wait ages for it. Will not be going back.

Six of us celebrated a reunion here and enjoyed a lovely meal. The food is Southern Indian / Asian fusion and lovely. We had a good selection of starters and mains, some with a sauce and some dry, veggie, chicken and lamb. Great taste and presentation served gradually over the evening as we wanted. Overall an excellent experience. Thank you.

Went for my daughter’s 16th birthday which I had mentioned when booking. Arrived to restaurant decorated with balloons and banners and daughter received a cake. Food was delicious and staff were lovely. Thank you so much to all staff. 100% recommend this lovely restaurant.

The lamb that on the menu says 'you've never seen it cooked this way before' was a true statement and it was DELISH!

I dined here with a group of friends, a self styled curry club, and we are all curry aficionados. We had a superb meal served by charming staff who took great care in ensuring the food was to our liking. They explained each dish and every choice we made was absolutely spot on. One of us said it was the best curry meal he'd had in years, and we all agreed. We will certainly come again.

EDIT - (menu has now been reverted and is great again)!!! Changed the menu getting rid of some of their best options and replaced them with shocking ones like the chili paneer (do not recommend). No more tandoor dishes which were excellent or naans only one bread option now. Shame about the menu change although nice to see the addition of thalis! Always nice staff

We were a group of 30 and visited Vai’s Kitchen on Saturday 5th of Feb. The food was delicious, especially the dosa’s and portion sizes were very generous! Given the number of requests, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for hosting us! If we’re in the area, we will definitely visit again 😊

Went with a friend and was greeted with friendly service and tasty food. Generous portions. We had a aubergine and dosa to start and lamb chops and tawa chicken and rice and I’d recommend all of them.

Really great food, excellent service, reasonable prices.

We saw v positive reviews but were disappointed. Good starters, but the mains were just saucy and goopy. My vegetable malabar was particularly disappointing, lots of sauce and little discernible veg, just goop. Friendly staff and nice enough ambience, but really nothing to recommend it.

Such a homely place to frequent

Thought we would go somewhere different to sample the food. The waitress was good who tried to persuade the chef to make our food without the chillies. The chef would not have any of this. It sounded like they use the same sauce to make all the different food. Even the basic dishes which could be made in 10 minutes, could not be recreated by the chef as he wanted to use the basic standard Pre made sauce. We had our drinks and left. Will definitely not be visiting this place again.

One of the best Indian best Indian meals we have had for a long time. It was great to have some different dishes on the menu to the same old dishes at other Indian restaurants. I would highly recommend the aubergine fingers on the starters menu, we had 3 different lamb main courses and shared them, all were absolutely superb. We even had a bottle of Indian sauvignon blanc, who knew they produced wine there?! It was very good and well priced. This restaurant is a brilliant find, we will definitely return.

An Indian restaurant with a very different menu. The sticky aubergine fingers for starters was a winner and the parata bread was thin, light and a delicious. Quite large portions.

The best Indian meal we've had for a long time. The menu is quite different to the normal run of the mill Indian menu, which tend to be the same dishes wherever you go. For starters I had crispy Okra which was good, my daughter had onion bhaji which was cooked in light batter and not heavy and greasy and my husband had the aubergine fingers which was the winner. Absolutely delicious. We then shared lamb malabar, lamb calicut and an unpronounceable named lamb dish. All were really superb and tasty. We also had a bottle of Indian sauvignon blanc. Who knew India made wine, it was very nice! This restaurant is a real find and we will definitely be going back. I would highly recommend Vai's Kitchen.

They serve authentic Indian food and some of the best curry we have had in the U.K. since we moved here from India. The restaurant is in a busy location, very well managed, clean and hygienic. But the best part is the food - we had Tawa chicken and naan bread and it was delicious. We will come back to this restaurant to try out other dishes.

Loved their butter chicken and the paratha was lovely. Staff are very friendly and efficient. We will be back for sure. Might consider air conditioning or opening windows as got quite stuffy. Apart from that cannot fault it.

We have been eating at this restaurant quite a lot over the years and the food and service has always been great. Having just moved back to Hampton Court a month ago we decided to have dinner tonight after work and the food was even better than our last visit 18 months ago. Highly recommended.

Great takeaway and fab food. Eat here alot, however ate in today for the 2nd time. I normally take away once a week, if not at least once a month. Food standards seem to be sliping, Its normal 10.5 out of 10 toinight was a 7. Please please Dont slip away like all the other 4 out of 10 curry houses molesey.

We always travel with pleasure from Greenwich to Vai's Kitchen,one of our favourite Indian restaurant. We love Masala Dosa, and this time we tried the vegetarian Vendakka and AloPuli and Peneer Butter Masala Wich as expected was delicious.

What a gem, service was superb and personal, food was sublime. The chili chicken was punchy and the portion size was generous. Loved the lamb. Highly recommended.

We have been eating here on a regular basis and I cannot fault the food or friendly service. We’ve tried most things on the menu and were always delighted with the quality and taste of everything. They always go above and beyond to make everything right to suit our tastes. Ps. The Paratha is amazing!!

Just enjoyed an excellent take away from Vais kitchen in the heart of East Molesey village. Wow what a surprise. This little restaurant offers a selection of typical Keralan favourites. The food had real depth of flavour the onion bahji and crispy okra best ever followed by a chicken biryani and butter chicken. This is a real little gem. Will definitely become a regular visitor to vais. Do give it a go, superb food at a good price especially if you order on line.

Vai's Kitchen is the best and most delicious Indian food I've ever had! Nothing beats it. My wife and I are Indian food enthusiasts and we've tried numerous Indian restaurants. Nothing comes close to Vai's. The food is authentic, full of flavour and makes your day, all the time. It's a family run business and the chef is part of the family, so quality and consistency is something you would expect. I love Vai's Kitchen and I wish them all the best. Recommend to anyone who loves authentic Indian food

We went as a party of three on a Saturday evening and had a delicious meal. As three vegetarians we couldnt have been happier with our options and the resulting food. The Kathrika Koottan was particularly sublime.

Great service, very attentive, the masala dosa and tandoori chicken was very tasty and would highly recommend to try. The staff are friendly and the owner krish was very helpful. Looking forward to come back again try some other dishes.

Had dinner here with my family tonight and I have to say the food and service was outstanding, we would normally travel to south London or southall for authentic Indian fusion food but this place is definitely a new favourite and we look forward to visiting again soon...thanks Krish and team for a lovely evening :)

This is easily the best Indian restaurant within a 5 mile radius, we have tried nearly every other place in the area and this is hands down the best. The food was incredible (the cassava fries are a must!), the portions were plentiful, the service was outstanding, the interior is simple but nice and they have a decent air conditioning system. The food is the closest thing I have found in the area that bares any resemblance to the great homemade meals my mum or grandma would make. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again!

Best Indian Food Ever. We went here a while back as we have a boat on the River Thames moored in Oxford as we had traveled up this way we thought we would try Vai"l Kitchen and the food was fantastic, we are from the midlands and all our Indian restaurants here taste the same, and trust me i have been to them all, the food here was just different in taste and quality. I am picking my boat up from being fixed from the boat yard not that far away so in a week or so i will be travelling many hours on the river just to go back here, i am well looking forward to it very much

Visited yesterday, food was good but the quantity was very disappointing.

Sunday, summer at 2:00 p.m, no one in restaurant and not many people on the street. Closes at 2:30 according to sign. Two south indian families start walking to the restaurant and as we get closer, they turn off the OPEN sign and lock the doors.

Avoid avoid Avoid Ordered a take away, called after 1 hour 15 and was hung up on. Called back, manager said 20 mins but that I shouldn’t have ordered because I lived too far away and he was busy with customers, (I am a customer!) I ask why the order was accepted, he put the phone on the desk and walked away. After 2 hours of not receiving our order my husband called back and without taking his name or address was told 20 mins and again they put the phone down without handing up and just left it on the counter so my husband waited and waited and no one got back on the line at which point he got in the car drove down there and demanded a refund. Abhorrent staff and manager we will never order again and will spread the word to avoid. I have never been treat so badly. Even when my husband went to get a refund they did not apologise. Show less

Should be given 0 stars! Absolutely appalling service......order accepted by website on Friday 3rd May at 8.42PM and nothing has arrived till 10.15PM. When called, they simply say we would refund as we cannot deliver. Didn’t even bother to inform the customer! Their service licence should be cancelled! Bloody nuisance...

Their food tastes like the food you get in India. Tried Masala Dosa, Chicken Biryani, Dal Soup and Payasam. All good.

As a malayalee I found the two dishes fish Mollie and fish mappas were pretty much the same with some extra onions in one and more watery to show a fake difference and when asked about it ,the owner had a weird response ;almost sounded like he was making fun of the customer . Need more professionals as floor staff and management . They need to up their game to compete with other Kerala restaurants .. Not a place I would look forward to going again.
